Ryan Murphy‘s anticipated new series The Shards, based on Bret Easton Ellis‘ prep school thriller novel, will premiere August 5 on FX and Hulu, as well as Disney+ and a very familiar face is set to appear within the series, when General Hospital alum, Colin Cassidy (ex-Aiden Webber, formerly known as Aiden Spencer) took to his Instagram to reveal the exciting news.

Colin shared, “I’m super excited to share that I will be appearing in Ryan Murphy’s The Shards premiering August 5th on FX, Hulu and Disney+!  I will appear in episode 5 as Rohmer, a fun lovin’ party animal with a secret! I had a blast working on this project and I can’t wait for you all to see it!”

Cassidy played the role of Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) son on the ABC soap opera on and off from 2024-2025.

The character was written off the canvas to explain Lucky’s sudden decision to travel abroad and leave Port Charles in June of 2025, Aiden went with his dad to get to know him better. During his run on GH, one of Colin’s most memorable scenes occurred when Aiden came out to Lucky after his father had been away for over a decade.

WHAT IS ‘THE SHARDS’ ALL ABOUT?

As for the The Shards, it’s a dark coming-of-age tale with semi-autobiographical facets for Ellis. Set in Los Angeles in 1981, the story follows a 17-year-old version of Ellis during his final year at the elite Buckley prep school. Upending the character’s world is the arrival of a mysterious new student, Robert Mallory, whose unsettling presence coincides with the activities of a serial killer known as The Trawler.

According to the official loglines: “Igby Rigney stars as Bret, an aspiring writer and keenly observant teenager whose reality begins to unravel with the arrival of a mysterious and magnetic new student, Robert Mallory (Homer Gere, the son of motion picture star, Richard Gere), Transferring in just before his senior year, Robert’s appearance coincides with the growing terror of The Trawler, a serial killer targeting teenagers across the city.

Alongside Bret is his elite social circle, which includes Susan Reynolds (Kaia Gerber), Debbie Schaffer (Hayes Warner) and Thom Wright (Graham Campbell), a glamorous and deeply entangled group drawn into a life of wealth, beauty, parties and excess. The promise of their youth is contrasted with the dark and cynical world of the adults surrounding them: Terry Schaffer (Wes Bentley), Liz Schaffer (Evan Rachel Wood) and Steven Reinhardt (Jordan Roth).

So, are you looking forward to seeing Colin Cassidy in The Shards? Do you hope that General Hospital brings Aiden back to the canvas with or without his father, Lucky? Let us know via the comment section.

Not a fan of Ryan Murphy at all, but good on Colin for getting this opportunity. Wish he would have gotten to do more during his time on General Hospital. I really like him as Aiden.

I loved the book so I will be watching.

Yes I was thinking about Aiden couple of days ago. Donna Marcum

I want him and Aiden back on GH! Why can’ the writers find further story for him and Tobias? He should have been part of the teen set this summer. There are a lot of teens who need represented.

I agree! He was great as Aiden! It sure would have been a lot more interesting if he and Tobias were included in the teen set. It really is a missed opportunity to not include them.

Yes, GH should bring back Aiden and his brothers Jake and Cameron. I miss them on the show. It’s a shame Colin was dropped by GH after Jonathan Jackson left last year, but he did seem too old for to play 15 yrs old. Colin did a wonderful job as Aiden, especially in his scenes with JJ and scenes with Rebecca Herbst. Congratulations to him on landing a role on the Ryan Murphy project.

Sounds like GH will be recasting for Aiden again. I wish they would bring back the young actor that played Aiden from 2012 – 2021. His name is Jason David and he was fantastic as Aiden. If he is still acting, he would be the exact age, 16, as Aiden and would fit in with the other teens on the show

Except the way they have been aging the kids (Amelia is nearly as big as Wiley, Scout is now 16) Aiden would have to be brought back at something like 25

Maybe with Maxie and her children gone… Elizabeth can have her kids back on the show and not just mentioned from time to time.

Never was a fan of Colin in the role. He gave a good effort, but he was almost comically too old for the age that Aiden was supposed to be. I liked Enzo DeAngelis, the previous Aiden. The scene with Enzo and Becky Herbst when Aiden came out to Elizabeth while they were making Christmas cookies is still one of my favorite on GH in recent years.

I wish they would bring the character back, but only if they were going to do a serious storyline with him, and do it right. They had the chance by introducing his boyfriend Tobias, and then neither were seen or heard from again.

Frank Valentini specializes in characters that come out of the closet, and then make a u-turn, and go right back in, because they never write stories for them. Which I don’t know if it’s Frank as much as it’s him being dictated to from the higher ups at ABC/Disney.

One of the reasons for the switch from Enzo to Colin was Enzo’s growth spurt that would’ve had he towering over Jonathan Jackson.

As for Frank and LGBT characters, the sudden dropping of “Kish” on OLTL was network dictated.

Aidan’s story with Tobias never really started. Lucas has been front and center all this year.

I miss OLTL’s Oliver Fish. But yes, GH does introduce many LGBT characters who suddenly disappear. I am hoping the Joe Fitzpatrick is the exception and has a good storyline soon. I do wonder why this is.

WTF is Terry- she’s like Co-Head of Chief with Portia? GH is awful for neglecting the Terry character and Cassandra James. Joe Fitz will be gone in 6 months tops, faster than Marco! Come back to the five and dime, Terry! Come on, GH, get with the frigging program.

Gone in 6 months tops ??!! Let’s hope not ! I’d rather see Chase gone before Joe.

It’s probably the higher ups at Disney/ABC to appease the religious peole that easily get offended by everything.

Alley Mills Returns to ‘General Hospital’ as Heather Webber

Published

Alley Mills

Heather Webber, one of the all-time villains in General Hospital history is on her way back to the canvas, when two-time Daytime Emmy winner, Alley Mills reprises the role beginning on the Thursday, November 5 episode.

TV Insider revealed the comeback news today. Mills began playing the role of Heather back in October of 2002. The previous Heathers included: Robin Mattson, Mary O’Brien and the very first Heather, who was none other than Georganne LaPiere (the half-sister of Cher).

As for Mills, she actually took home the Daytime Emmy last year at the 52nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series. She won in the same category back in 2022.

FROM THE WONDERS YEARS TO THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL TO GENERAL HOSPITAL

Alley Mills assumed the role of Heather Webber in October 2022 and had ended her initial run in 2023 and then was back again in 2024. Soap fans also know that Mills had played Pam Douglas on the The Bold and the Beautiful since 2006 and appeared on the series through 2019, and made appearance in story in 2021 and 2022.

On B&B, Alley was a part of the memorable storyline which saw Pam and Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) mother, Ann Douglas (the late Betty White) pass away. In addition to GH and B&B. primetime fans know Alley as Norma Arnold, the mom of the ABC’s hit late 80s and early 90s series, The Wonder Years.

When GH viewers last saw Heather and her crime spree as The Hook, she had taken the life of Brando Corbin (the late Johnny Wactor) and what was believed at the time to be the life of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), although a few years later, Britt showed up alive.

Heather wound up in the slammer at Pentonville, but got released in 2024, when it was revealed that she had a bad hip replacement which resulted in cobalt poisoning which was said to be the root cause of her erratic behavior.

WHAT BRINGS HEATHER WEBBER BACK INTO THE STORY?

Eventually, Heather’s son, Steven Lars (Scott Reeves) returned to Port Charles to retrieve his mother, and to make sure she was taken care for out of town. Now the question becomes, why is Heather back on the GH canvas in 2026?

One theory! Could Heather be revealed as the person stalking Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali)? After all, Heather is the mother to the late Esme Prince (Avery Pohl). Perhaps, she wants retribution for her daughter, and this is her twisted way of doing it? Or, is something else at play here? Stay tuned!

Take a look at our conversation with Alley from the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards immediately following her second Emmy win below.

Now let us know, excited to know Alley Mills is returning as Heather? What do you think will be her storyline this time around? Weigh-in via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jordan Sees Sonny and Justine Making Out, Britt and Anna Have a Chat, Valentin is Livid

Published

on

By

General Hospital, Jordan

On the Tuesday, September 22 episode of General Hospital, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) got an earful from Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) after her proposed stunt to get damning evidence against Drew (Cameron Mathison), Anna (Finola Hughes) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had a conversation they needed to have, and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) came upon Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Justine (Nazneen Contractor) making out in the parking lot of the Brown Dog Bar.

Let’s take a closer look as the action and story that went down: First, Valentin was horrified to learn what Charlotte was plotting to get Drew to leave Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) alone. Learning that Charlotte thought that her plan to make it look as if Drew was making out with a teenage girl was a great idea, Valentin fired back. “Dammit, why can’t you admit you put your life at risk?”

Valentin firmly told his daughter that she will not have any more contact with Danny. However, Charlotte said she will see Danny at school, Valentin stated, “Not anymore.” Will Valentin put Charlotte in another high school? Send her out of town or leave town with his daughter? Stay tuned.

APOLOGY ACCEPTED

After leaving the Brown Dog Bar, Britt headed over to Aurora Wellness and had a tense confrontation with Anna, the woman who planned on killing her. Anna apologized to Britt noting she would always regret what she did and would like to smooth things over with Britt if she would let her.

Taking in Anna’s apology, Britt also apologized for not coming to Anna’s rescue sooner while Anna was locked up in Wyndemere. Anna says she understands Britt was made to believe she was dying of Huntington’s disease. However, Anna said that Cesar Faison had caused just as much long-term damage to his daughter as he has with her. That moment, leaves Britt startled.

JORDAN OFFERS AN ENDORSEMENT THEN GETS AN EYEFUL

Back at the Brown Dog, Jordan offered Justine her endorsement for the Port Charles district attorney position. Jordan even went one step further and said as much as she does not like going out in public (due to her facial scars) she would help organize a kick-off rally.

Jordan also let Justine know she will have tough competition during her DA election campaign, and for Justine not to be surprised if one of her competitors goes looking for any dirt or skeletons they can dig up on her. While Justine glances over at Sonny, who is at another table, she tells Jordan she is confident no one will find anything to use against her.

HOWEVER at the end of the episode, Sonny followed Justine into the parking lot after they had separately exited the Brown Dog Bar, where they flirted and reminisced about their first kiss in the same spot. Next thing you know, the two are making out when Jordan happens upon the scenes and is witness to their smooches. We fade to black.

Take a look at the final moments from today’s GH in a scene entitled, “Not Public Knowledge” below.

Then weigh-in, Why do you think it was Jordan who came upon Sonny and Justine’s romance? How will Jordan use the intel to her own advantage, or will she? What do you think Britt will do next? And what did you think of Charlotte’s plan to get some video on Drew to use against him to get him to leave Danny alone? Let us know in the comment section below.
