Need to Know

  • Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri, General Hospital) talks on a potential on-screen romance with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
  • The new and exclusive conversation appears in full on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.
  • Zamprogna is uncertain of the the end game between exes, Dante and Lulu, or ifĀ  a triangle may be ahead for Dante, Elizabeth and her ex, Ric Lansing, with whom the head nurse has been recently dating.

On General Hospital, the current PCPD commissioner Dante FalconeriĀ  (Dominic Zamprogna) has been lied to, and kept in the dark, by those he thought he could trust which includes his ex-wife Lulu (Alexa Havins), his own son, Rocco (Finn Carr) and a man he considers a good friend and police partner, “Nathan” West, only Dante doesn’t know that “Nathan” is a fraud, and really his twin brother, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey)!

The only person, who seems to be a good friend and reliable is ‘General Hospital’ head nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). For months, GH viewers are witnessing key moments when Dante and Elizabeth are there for each other. In fact, she helped Dante realize it was Rocco who shot Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and was willing to help him cover up the crime so his son does not go to prison. Problem is, Rocco took off with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Theibaud) and as of now Dante has no idea where they are.

In a new and exclusive interview out this weekend on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel, Dominic Zamprogna chats about the potential pairing of Dante and Elizabeth and the opportunity to work with beloved longtime GH favorite, Rebecca Herbst, and if he thinks when all is said and done, Dante will wind up back with Lulu. Here’s some excerpts from the conversation below.

ELIZABETH HAS PROVEN HERSELF TRUSTWORTHY TO DANTE

Speaking on how Dante feels currently about Elizabeth, Zamprogna explained, “At this point, Elizabeth is the only person, he can trust. She’s the only one who’s essentially told Dante what’s what. But. there’s also this connection for sure beyond that, right? That’s something that we’ve tried to play. We don’t know what the end game is, honestly, as actors, I don’t know what the end game is. You have to assume that every time you’re in a scene with anybody, you’re chemistry testing, and you want to do right by the characters.”

Although Dante’s primary romances have been with Lulu and the late Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), a paring of Dante and Liz has never been approached by the series until now.

“To me, it’s interesting because they’ve never really explored anything between Dante and Elizabeth before. So, it’s all kind of new,” shared Dominic. “That’s the most exciting part of any relationship, the new stuff, before you jump into the domesticated stuff. That’s maybe where Ric (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth are. They’re kind of more in this domesticated thing, or experiencing that, whereas Dante and Elizabeth truly are kind of needing each other at this moment.”

As Dominic explains it, Dante has found himself needing Elizabeth as his sounding board, since everyone else betrayed him. “Dante definitely needs Elizabeth and has reached out to her. She’s been honest, and provided him with things that he needed (to help cover up that his son, Rocco shot Cullum), explains the five-time Daytime Emmy nominee. “There’s also the other stuff that he’s finding out about her that he didn’t know. Like when she’s in the office with him and she’s talking about her past and the trauma that she’s been through (referring to Elizabeth’s rape).”

COULD THERE BE A DANTE/ELIZABETH/RIC TRIANGLE AHEAD?

Dominic continued with high praise for his co-star, “It’s interesting for me to play, because I don’t know that story of Elizabeth as an actor, because it was before I got to the show. So, it’s two characters finding out more about each other who’ve been in each other’s orbit for 17 years. (As to the potential pairing), I’m happy to hear people areĀ  digging it because I dig it. Rebecca is phenomenal, and she plays a legacy character, and to me, one of the best actors on the show.”

With Lulu seemingly falling for “Nathan” and then currently breaking it off, Zamprogna and GH fans are awaiting to see what happens when Lulu finds out that “Nathan” is Cassius, while also finding out if Ric Lansing could be the true spoiler in any potential Liz and Dante budding romance.

“I don’t know what the long game is. I literally have no clue,” shared Zamprogna. “I currently don’t believe that there’s a Dante/Lulu happening. It feels like if they did go down the road of Dante and Ric fighting for Elizabeth, I think that would be interesting to have two guys fighting over her as opposed to two women fighting over Ric and Dante.”

PLANTING THE SEEDS FOR DANTE/ELIZABETH ROMANCE

GH fans will recall the recent scenes where Elizabeth was dressed for her date with Ric, but stopped by Dante’s office at the PCPD first. Dante remarked, in so many words, how beautiful she looked.

Zamprogna hoped that viewers caught it, explaining, “Those are real little moments that I’m always happy or captured. It’s two people who don’t have a romantic relationship, but, planting those little seeds of her coming in and him seeing her out of her scrubs for the first time and being like, ‘Oh my, GodĀ  You look amazing.”Ā  And then as the scene ends, they’re kind of wrapped up in things, and then he is like, ‘I could keep talking to you forever,’ but she has a date to get to with Ric.”

You can check out the full conversation with Dominic Zamprogna now on the Michael Fairman Channel below.

Now, let us know, after checking out Dominic’s thoughts on a potential Dante and Elizabeth pairing? Are you hoping the GH writers put them together, or do you want Liz with Ric? And, do you think the end game will still be Dante and Lulu as the exes still have to come together to find their son, Rocco, who is on the run with Britt? I like the new version of Ric and I want to see more of that. And Elizabeth is what makes Ric want to be a better man. I like Dante but I prefer to see him with someone else.

I like Ric a lot too but would like to see him paired with someone new. I have no idea who that could be though.

I don’t feel them as couple. I wish GH would stop throwing characters against the wall to see if they will stick.

Not Lulu, Not Liz, SAM! Bring back Sam!

Sam’s parole from Hell is always on the table. But don’t worry, she’s got an air conditioned condo down here, so she’s doing alright.

Frank has my number. He can call me when he’s ready to make the deal.

Better yet, BRING BACK DEX! He is needed. Sonny has no one to make chicken piccata for, and Joss needs some love in the afternoon.

One shouldn’t hold their breath for either a return by either Sam (only happening if Frank departs – and that’s not under consideration) or Dex (not worth wasting a RFTD).

So, who is the most likely ā€œdeadā€ character to return? No, not Morgan. Not AJ (dead-dead at this point) It’s got to be Spencer.

If one of the two incoming newbies turned out to be amnesiac Spencer that would be as good as him being amnesiac Morgan.

Of course if they brought Spencer back, that would probably also require a Nikolas recast. So they might want to clear out the whole “Legion of Dumb” cast bloat before they open that can of worms.

I like them together. They fit! And yes, I feel they have passed the chemistry test. Two of my favorite characters as a couple? I say yes.

I really like Elizabeth and Dante together. They compliment each other very nicely. Both are honest, trustworthy people. Both are single parents having lost their romantic partners. They truly respect each other. I do like the growth that Ric has shown. But, Elizabeth has been there and done that. I think Elizabeth and Dante are perfect for each other. Maybe put Ric with Lulu.

I want her to ditch Rick and be with dante

I don’t know why no one thought of this before. Hell, I don’t know why I never thought of this before. Dante and Elizabeth are played by two talented, unique, charismatic actors. They’re both so naturally good, they make it look easy. Honestly, there is no one quite like Dante and Lizzy, and I find myself rooting for them both. They’ve both been through hell and back, some of it at the expense of a Spencer, and they deserve some romantic peace. These two together make me smile.

I am sorry, I meant to say,ā€some of it largely due to a Spencer,ā€ and not at the ā€œexpense of a Spencer.ā€ That is a critical error on my part, and one worth correcting.

I like Elizabeth and Dante. There both righteous and enjoy their kids

I think Elizabeth and Dante should be together. Elizabeth should break up with Ric.

Better than Ric

IO want Liz to stay with Ric. Dante should be with lulu or bring Sam back

I don’t want to a Dante Elizabeth hookup. I that Ric should be given a solid opportunity for love with her. I want to see a Sonny Alexis or Sonny Carly hookup. Ethan/Brooklyn hookup. Curtis need to find out soon that he’s a self righteous ass.

I like Liz and Dante as friends. Let them stay that way. We don’t need every male/female relationship to be romantic. The chemistry between the characters of Lulu and Dante is gone. Don’t revisit that. Let Liz finally find happiness with Ric!

Bring Sam back for Dante! Bring back Jason so that he can be happy with Brit, and for once let Carly NOT be first with him. Keep Carly with Valentin. Put Joss with Cassius, and let Chase’s eyes be opened about Willow!!

And lastly, let Portia’s baby be Isaiah’s! Maybe Brad was tampering with her test results!!

I like this scenario, I think it would be perfect

Lulu us nothing like the original…unfortunately. ..dull & boring.

I believe Elizabeth is way better off with Dante, Ric isn’t half the man Dante is! I believe Elizabeth and Dante would make a nice, caring couple together

I like them together. They seem so natural. She looks weird with Rick. Not a fan of Lulu

I live them together. Rick has “Supposedly” changed. But he held Carly in a panic room for months while married to Elizabeth! And didn’t he cause her to lose their baby? I cant believe Elizabeth can just “get over” those things! Rick is a slime ball. Dante is a better match. I want her to be with a good, stable man like Dante!

Looks like the show is going in the direction of Liz and Dante, and that’s fine for their fans. (Not personally one of them) but please no triangle. Just rip the band aid off pair them, and then let Ric move on. What concerns me is while the show keeps putting Dante and Liz together in scenes, they seem to be putting Ric and Alexis together in scenes more and more. I’m not sure about those two.

Nothing new here. Dom thumbs his nose at fans of the Lante pairing in every interview he gives. In my opinion, Dante and Liz will be a boring pairing.

Nope not Dante snd certainly not Ric Elizabeth should be paired with Jason Dante should find someone new or bring Sam back.

I like too see Dante and Liz get together. I rather Sam if they were to being her back.

I think that Elizabeth and Dante would make a great match. They look like they have chemistry..I don’t like her with Rick.

I actually think elizabeth should stay with Ric, And I think if they’re going to have chase , cheat on brooklyn, She should end up with Dante, and it will bring their whole family closer together. Two families that were always best friends , and now they have a son together , it’s kinda perfect

Back with lulu

Danta and Lulu

No no no get a new person for him I like her but he need someone new kept her with Rick

I think Dante and Elizabeth would be the perfect couple

I think Liz and Dante are so so adorable they get each other they both light up when they see each other they both need a break from past loves and let them be happy together I vote and all in with Dante and Liz pairing

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Gets Willow Right Where He Wants Her, Curtis is Found Guilty and Sentenced to Prison

Michael and Willow

The Thursday, August 13 episode of General Hospital gave us just what Michael (Rory Gibson) was going to do to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), now that he had the goods on her that she shot Drew, the verdict in the Curtis (Donnell Turner) vs. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) case, and left us with Trina (Tabyana Ali) alone with her stalker nearby. Let’s take a look at how it all went down!

When Willow arrived at the Quartermaines to pick up Wiley and Amelia, she was stopped in her tracks when Michael confronted her armed with the truth that she shot Drew (Cameron Mathison) twice in the back. She denies it. However, Michael pulls out of an envelope signed affidavits from Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina, explaining they were at Drew’s house that night and have proof.

Michael explains her ring tone went off on her phone while she was getting ready to shoot Drew, and it was a match for Wiley’s. Kai and Trina heard the same ringtone at the courthouse when she stood trial for attempted murder. Willow threw the fact that she can’t be tried again in a court of law because of double jeopardy. However, Michael stopped her ranting and says double jeopardy doesn’t apply in family court.

HOW MICHAEL GOT THE UPPER HAND ON WILLOW

Now, Michael is ready to expose her crime. Suddenly, Willow grabs the rolling pin on the counter to strike Michael, but he is able to block her. Michael tells Willow she either accepts the arrangement he is about to tell her, or she will never see her children again. Willow tries to counter that Jacinda drugged her and she can prove it. However, Michael lets it be known that Jacinda is long gone with no forwarding address.

Next, Michael tells Willow she can remain a part of their children’s lives and he will keep their current custody arrangement as long as she moves back into the gatehouse. Willow hates the gatehouse, but knows she has no other option, so she says she will pack up her things at Nina’s and move in.

GUILTY!

At the courthouse, the jury has reached a verdict in the case of Curtis vs. Isaiah. When the jury comes back before the court, the jury foreperson shares, “We find the defendant, Curtis Ashford, guilty of second-degree assault and battery.” In lieu of the verdict, the judge sentences Curtis to ten years in prison at Pentonville with the possibility of parole in two years.

Curtis’ attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) tells his client he has gotten him 48 hours before he had to report to prison, and planned to file an appeal with the courts on the verdict. Curtis then says heartfelt goodbyes with Trina and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), before heading over to Portia’s (Brook Kerr) to see his newborn son, Desmond knowing he will not see him for quite a long time.

WHO’S THE STALKER?

Trina and Kai are at now at Bobbie’s. They talk about her father going to prison, and Trina is channeling her feelings into her songwriting. Kai decides to let Trina be by herself so she can focus and he won’t be a distraction. However, after Kai makes his exit, someone is looking through the windows at Bobbie’s and targeting Trina. But who? We fade to black.

So, what did you think about Michael having the goods on Willow and knowing she shot Drew? Were you happy about how he used the information to gain the upper hand to get her to move back into the Quartermaines gatehouse? Were you hoping for a different outcome? Are we just a short time away from Michael and Willow being back together as a couple after everything that has happened? Then, what did you think of the verdict in Curtis’ case? Glad he going away to prison for what he did? Do you care, or do not really care? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Carlo Rota Shares His Run as Sidwell Has NOT Come to an End

Published

on

By

Carlo Rota

After General Hospital viewers learned this week from Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was sentenced to 31 years in prison with a possibility for parole in 26 years for all of his crimes (after he had taken a plea deal with the Port Charles court system), fans were wondering the status of Rota with the show.

With so many recent on-screen exits, GH viewers were concerned that Rota was the next casualty, although his character of Sidwell deserves to be put a way for life, it appears we may see him back, and from his jail cell. Could he wind up being the cellmate of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), who on today’s August 13 episode was sentenced to 10 years in prison with a possibility of parole for two years, for physically attacking Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson)? Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Sidwell’s portrayer, Carlo Rota gave a clue as to his character’s whereabouts during his General Hospital Fan Club Weekend event, along with his wife Nazneen Contractor (Justine, GH), according to a report from Soap Central.

Carlo Rota

WHAT IS SIDWELL’S FUTURE AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH HIS BUSINESS HOLDINGS?

Rota told the crowd in attendance that Sidwell will soon be seen in Pentonville and his scenes will also include another familiar face from the Port Charles canvas. Could it be Curtis or someone else yet to be thrown into the slammer? Carlo teased, “I am in prison with another character from the show. We share a cell.ā€

The last time anyone saw Jenz Sidwell was back on the July 6 episode when he was in the interrogation room at the PCPD and tried to make a deal with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).

The deal was that he wanted Jordan to get her hands on his money from his offshore bank accounts and in return, he can get her hooked up with the best plastic surgeon in the world (the one in Germany that Michael went to) and she can jump ahead over the waiting list. However, Jordan turned him down flat, although the thought of fixing her face still weighs heavily upon her.

GH viewers first met Sidwell, the newest villain in town to go up against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for the his territory, back in August of 2024.

Flash-forward to late summer of 2026, there has been plenty of talk by Sonny and now Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to take over Sidwell’s business holdings that will be up for auction, most likely setting the stage for Drew and Sidwell to be in cahoots, or some other shenanigans to get back at Sonny.

So, are you glad to know that there will be more Sidwell on the way soon? Do you wish the character would just already be off the canvas for good? Glad that Curtis got 10-year prison sentence, or don’t care? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

To see a talent like James Franco headlining an original microdrama is an important milestone for the industry. It gave us the opportunity to play with the conventions of the genre, and subvert them just enough without losing sight of what audiences already love about these stories. The goal was always to make something that felt both familiar and completely unexpected.ā€

THE ARTIST KNOWN AS FRANCO ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

General Hospital fans will recall it was back in 2009, that James Franco, played the artist known as ā€œFranco” who was fixated on death and became a main villain of the show and nemesis to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). At the time, James Franco explained about his GH alter-ego. “Franco works in a lot of different ways. He does graffiti, performances, photographs. He creates installations based on murder scenes featuring murders he possibly was involved with. He’s interested in pushing the boundaries of art – both aesthetically and ethically – and he will go way too far.”

James played “Franco” for a few runs on the soap opera from 2009-2010 and again for stint from the fall of 2011 to early 2012. Later in 2013, the role of Franco was recast with Roger Howarth playing the role until 2021.

The last several years have been difficult for James Franco to find work in Hollywood, following a 2019 sexual misconduct scandal and abuse of power allegations of inappropriate behavior towards aspiring actresses at his now-defunct acting school, Studio 4. Franco settled a lawsuit for $2.2 million in 2021, later admitting he slept with students and addressing issues surrounding power imbalances. The actor maintained he did not open his acting school to lure women for sexual advances. Since the scandal broke in 2019, James has only appeared in five films and mostly from international distributors.

Love, Lies & Frank is now available exclusively on Shortical here.

So, what do you think of James Franco starring in a microdrama? Did you enjoy him as General Hospital’s OG Franco? Let us know via the comment section below.
