GENERAL HOSPITAL: False Faces, Faison, and Fluke!

Monday’s episode of ABC’s General Hospital could make anyone exclaims, “The plot thickens!”  In a twisty and suspenseful episode, GH head writer Ron Carlivati and executive producer Frank Valentini, have woven together the mystery of who is Fluke by casting suspicion on none other than a very much alive … and walking away around Port Charles, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), and Tracy Q’s (Jane Elliot) ex-hubby, Larry Ashton (Hugo Napier)!

In addition, there was some back-story Intel provided by Julian Jerome (William deVry), who came clean to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), that he met a man who looked like Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) over ten years ago while in the Witness Protection Program.  He partnered up with him to restore the Jerome crime family to prominence.  However, Julian also revealed that after Fluke couldn’t takeover ELQ, he became brutal … and his son Lucas (Ryan Carnes) was shot because of it!

After Anna (Finola Hughes) is stunned that Faison escaped his imprisonment below the ground at her and Robert’s hands, Agent Sloane (Rob Derringer) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) don’t believe that she still didn’t do something with his body! Come to find out the covert “stable hand”, who had been hired by Robert to keep watch on Faison, admitted Faison has been gone from his prison in the ground for a year and got away! At the end of the episode we see at the Port Charles docks, the man himself, Cesar Faison lighting up a cigar!

Counterpoint that with the Luke vs. Fluke showdown at Miscavige, where Luke tries to piece together who is his “lukealike”! Fluke reveals he has been working with Larry Ashton and Jerry Jacks and has been gone for six months, but is back in the saddle to resume Luke’s life!  Luke brings up the masks that Faison used to impersonate Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), and wonders if Fluke has a mask on which Fluke sorta denies.

And then there is the flash drive that Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) found! They open the copied drive and its contents on a laptop at the Quartermaines and … voila!  There are photos of Faison and some documentation of his past whereabouts, and a blueprint for another mask!

So GH fans, what could be going on here?  Do you think Faison, or the real Larry is Fluke?  Do you think none of the guys are Fluke and it’s all red herrings?  What do you think Faison will do next?  Are you enjoying now how the Fluke story has accelerated with the return of Tony Geary? Comment below!

Welcome back to the great Anders Hove (Cesar Faison ) !!

I’ll have whatever you’re having…lol…i guess Faisons return out ranks mine…lol

Yeah…we Scandinavians must stick together…LOL

JIM is here! I am as happy to see you as I was to see the real Luke today.
Hey, Jim–who do you think Fluke is?
I say it’s either Bill Eckert or the other Bill……as in Cosby.
The latter guess would explain that weirdness with Kiki.

Maybe “Victor” obtained them for his rogue WSB from the “IMF.” (Thaao Penghlis did appear on the ’90’s reboot of that classic spy show….)

Gh is on fiya!!

I agree. It is confusing. I am just enjoying the ride, as long as bob Guza if gone and Frank and Ron are in charge, I’m good

At least Guza’s stories were coherent, unlike today’s mess.

My guess is Fluke is Bill eckert wearing a Larry mask working with Faison, Helena and Jerry

I don’t know who Bill Eckert is, but that deduction makes a lot of sense, Ric. I am still very confused as to why all these people are working in tandem? What is the prize? It can’t just be to gain power of ELQ. And why is Jason so important to Helena?…..what is his role in this?
Faison is another enigma. Did above, said people free Faison to serve as Fluke? Someone had mentioned he isn’t tall enough to pass as Luke. BTW, was it my imagination or did Fluke seem taller than Luke when they faced each other in the institution’s cell/room? So, who’s taller than Luke?
I think Faison is Fluke on heels…LOL. Seriously, my guess is; Faison or Larry…how about Stavros?

Maybe Jason isnt Jason…maybe he is AJ reprogrammed to think he is Jason(which if true means Sonny will go free…ugh)…or maybe he is a Cassidine brainwashed to think he is Jason…SUPRISE, i made it back at least for a few months…had a sale and sold some things i inherited years ago…plan more in the Spring so maybe i can extend my stay…fingers crossed!!!

I’m SO with you CeeCee — so many unanswered questions and the “Prize” is really weak. I don’t get it either!!

Jimh…HELLO!!!! Are back for good? So happy to hear from you…and A HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND ALL OUR POSTING FRIENDS….God bless….much happiness and health to everyone. Love and peace.

CeeCee….Bill Eckert—-also played by Anthony Geary—was a look-alike cousin to Luke that appeared on GH in the 1990’s. He supposedly died onscreen, but that never stopped anyone from returning to Port Chuck!!! He also had ties to Bennett Enterprises, which was just mentioned again the other day in reference to funding this whole Fluke escapade. While Bill certainly would be the most plausible and least far-fetched suspect to be Fluke, it is almost too obvious and logical to be the truth…yet, I am still leaning toward this choice. If the crusty culprit is someone other than Bill, then it means that person actually elected to adopt Luke’s physical appearance via plastic surgery, and that beggars belief…….I mean, who would willingly do THAT? LOL. As for Faison, Larry or even Jerry being “Fluke,” me thinks not….they are just being presented to confuse and confound…..along with that mystery mask, which is probably not even meant to replicate Luke, but someone else….hmmm, WHO? Over these last six or so months we have already discussed other possibilities for Fluke’s true identity that could be a blast from the past….Damian Smith, Harlan Bennett, assorted Cassadines, but at this point, Bill remains the best bet(?)

CeeCee…happy holidays to you and your family…i know its been two weeks(which felt like an enternity) and things werent looking good(ive gone broke and got ill)…i still could use one of those ‘Its A Wonderful Life’ moments…lol…but hopefully its not too late to turn things around for the better…how much i missed you guys…hopefully in the months ahead ive worked everyting out so i can stay!!!

To CeeCee (and Family)…..Happy Holidays to you, as well!….Hope the wicked winter weather didn’t interfere with your Thanksgiving celebration!!!! Have a safe, warm and wonderful weekend!!!!

Love that!!

I like how you think, I too think it’s Luke’s cousin Bill. If everybody else is back from the dead why not Bill. The whole town is full with Zombies [smile] I’m waiting for Johnny to meet up with Sonny but I really don’t think Sonny will be locked for long.

That could work, Ric, except I have one question….if Fluke is impersonating Larry, why would he call Jerry about the “Luke” problem? It’s pretty obvious that Fluke is the big, bad boss, so I cannot imagine him consulting with anybody else about what to do with the original Spencer…..his fate seems to already be decided by Fluke, though he’s obviously coordinating to some extent with Helena. Plus, I don’t see what need Jerry would have for Luke now that he has obtained his blood to create the antidote for polonium poisoning. Just ruminating…..

Why does Bill hate Sonny?

Wait, Ric–this is an intriguing idea. So, Fluke is Bill Eckert (Luke’s look alike cousin who allegedly died in Luke’s arms) and he is actually wearing an Ashton mask?
Timm, Bill Cos…er, I mean Eckert, would hate Sonny because he took over the turf which he, Ashton and Brenda Barret’s father had been trying to attain.

LOL! I just think it’s hilarious that we’re all discussing who’s wearing whose face! And…how exactly do these masqueraders impersonate each other’s voices? Do they get voice transplants too?

I LIKE Lord Larry. I think the actor is a great looking older man…and he’s hilarious! Too bad he’s a bad guy and probably a temporary character…because I think he’s fit right in with the dwindling Quarterrmaine family and add much needed levity and conflict.

Maybe Fluke, whoever he is…is really Nathan’s father. Obrecht said his father was much worse than Victor…

Hey, Hey, Hey! Harry, had to reply here…lol, loved your Cosby joke…maybe if Fluke starts eating a lot of Jello it could be him..lol

So am I getting Faison is fluke and Julian has been working with him for 10years how is that possible so all the time we thought it luke it was faison

I feel Faison is a red herring. It would be terrible writing if Fluke turned out to be Faison for reasons too numerous to mention. Namely, Faison, much to Dr. O’s dismay, only has eyes for his Anna. Fluke made that creepy pass at very young Kiki and talked about his doughnut balls or something to that effect.

Yes, Harry, Faison is a red herring and so is Not-A-Lord Larry….neither one is Fluke. I believe that would be the “man who came to dinner” at Chez (Monica) Quartermaine near the close of Wednesday’s episode…sadly, he is not the genuine Spencer. Didn’t anyone else notice that strange glint in “Luke’s” eyes as Alexis freed him from his straitjacket???? Right then and there, I knew that once again Fluke had pulled the old switcheroo….as for “Sparkle Pony’s” blessed absence, shhhhh, don’t jinx it!!!! I have a sneaking suspicion she shall be trotting back onto the canvas any moment now, although I must say it has been a real slice of heaven not having to put up with her subpar melodrama. ‘Twould be a magnificent Christmas gift to see her gone for good. Anyway, hope you have a terrific Thanksgiving weekend….and now it’s back to my Black Friday online pursuits!!!!!

I don’t think Fluke is Faison simply because when he was at Britt’s and Nickolas engagement party he made a highly suggestive remark to Nickolas about his fiancee rear end– I can’t imagine any father saying something like that about his daughter, which Britt would be if Faison was Fluke.

Faison most likely sold his research for these masks to Jerry and that is the only connection to the Fluke story– I see Faison being a red herring– however, all I know if Fluke turns out to be Faison I would feel ripped off– they had plenty of time to come up with a more inventive reveal than that one.

I thought about that too. While Faison is certainly a decadent piece of Eurotrash, referring to his own daughter as a “piece of ass” is a bit much.

And Faison only has eyes for Anna.
Moreover, Julian told Alexis he met a man who looked just like Luke ten years ago who was not the real Luke. I doubt Faison would be running around for ten years wearing a Luke mask.

Absolutely…especially since the only one he dreams of belongs to Anna!!! (Much to the despair of Liesl….oh, how I cannot wait for her to be reunited with her “Cesar!” That slow, smoldering simmer is about to hit full-tilt boil as her beloved walks through the door!!!! I am constantly amazed how Dr. O. goes from coldly calculating to hot and bothered in no time flat when Cesar is concerned! Should be a true treat to behold…..)

Of course, Mary. Jerry needed Faison’s services to make Fluke masks…..great call! That must be it…but we still don’t know who Fluke is…is Ashton a lech?

I think-
I don’t know lol
RC and team really have me guessing and I’m sure it will be shocker when revealed..

I do know–
This is great entertainment !!
And to over-think it would be a huge mistake.
I’m excited for the big bang unmasking ..!!!
Faison is in the mix, and I luv Faison !!
cant wait to see him within 3 feet of Dr. O ..!! whoa!

I can’t wait for Faison and Obrecht scenes also. I wonder if he already knows about Nathan’s existence. I can’t wait to see his reaction when he finds out.

I agree with with you about Faison but what if it was him anyway and that tacky remark was just a ruse so no one would figure out he’s the man behind the mask? After crypt sex, more tasteless moments wouldnt suprise me!!!

Exactly!!!! I was screaming at my tv : its not faison!!! He looked at Brot’s bum bum’!!!!

Faison, Dr.O,and Anna,together again, JOY!!!
Luke’s BACK, Hallelujah.
Julian finally fessing up to Alexis, and possibly
springing Luke from the looney bin???
Now that’s daytime T.V. at it’s finest.
Where’s the popcorn!

Yeah I dont think Faison is connected to Fluke. He is and always will be focused on Anna.

Fanny, are you SU000’s twin or is this just a Fluke?

I think the “soap” genre did not die; it evolved. Shows like Mad Men and The a Walking Dead are continuing dramas and brilliant. By clinging to the tired plot threads of baby snatching, plastic surgery, amnesia, endless characters retuning from the grave and evil twins in rubber masks, daytime is refusing to embrace the evolution. A show can be as bold or innovative as it chooses. GH is refusing to adapt or grow
and that often leads to extinction.

I see your point but a daytime soap is art in itself. I wouldnt mind daytime borrowing from the two shows you mentioned but I like the tried and true daytime plots.

Like you said, they are dramas which are more about cultural, social, political commentary, with very little humor, all wrapped into a story. Not so good for daytime. Soaps are more about fantasy, entertainment, and character/family relationships, done over and over, with some timely topics put in. Mad Men is a time in history starting in the 50’s,with the characters evolving, or not. It’s ending soon…the story has run it’s course, at least for the writer. Soaps never seem to run out (unless you have some exec from ABC who kill them) because they can keep reinventing themselves as long as they keep core families and their offspring. And maybe not zombies, but GH has had vampires (before Twlight, etc) and other presumed-to-be-dead coming back to life. But you are right, they have to continue to adapt, but within their genre, and to not try to be something they are not.

I’m glad they’re not like primetime shows. They are an entity unto themselves; sort of like comic books. Comics rely on continuity…there are the superheroes and the villains…sex, violence, fantasy, magic, etc. They’re an escape into the fantastical.

Soaps, while based more on realism than comics…still can include all the craziness that would never pass muster with other types of shows…unless they’re incorporated into science fiction/supernatural shows. With daytime soaps anything is possible and that’s what makes the so addictive and fun.

They said no more masks. If masks are involved, I give up…..lazy writing.

I agree with Mary. I don’t think Faison is Fluke–and if he is, that’s uncharacteristically lame for GH. I think Faison is pulling the strings, but someone else is Fluke, and that Ashton is involved, but is a red herring as far as the identity of Fluke is concerned.

I pop in and out and the Luke/Fluke/Anna/Faison’s stories make me want to watch all the time. It’s nice to be able to play guessing games, it’s what GH is about. I am guessing Fluke is his Cousin Bill Ekhart. That would make a cool and interesting twist! GO GH!

…btw can GH please go back to spending some cash on cool locations like the ole days? I see my Mom watching B&B and they seem to be traveling the world. Work it out GH, you thought soaps location shoots, show them how to do it right 😉

Your right Shaun, GH used to go on location during sweeps. It was refreshing for the viewer and the actors liked it as well.

The only reason B&B goes on location is because that soap airs overseas, & is very popular in the places they go (Italy, UAE). It’s an investment in that market, & a reward for those int’l viewers. IIRC, GH does not currently air overseas. I think fans can stream it. But, it doesn’t have a dedicated live airing on any int’l channel.

OMG I love love love GH. I am back to screaming at the tv again which is a good sign.

I am FLOORED at why I’m seeing lately…in a good way! I mean Tuesday’s episode was CRAZY, with Alexis being brought into the loop & running into *&%^; Patrick & Sam getting even closer to the answer from another angle; and the Michael-Carly showdown. And, Duke! OMG – I never even thought his story would go in that direction. WOW! Talk about make the older characters relevant.

Lol @ Anna putting Faison in a crawl space at Windemere stables because he escaped every maximum security facility in Europe… only to be “shocked” he excaped again! I usually suspend my disbelief but this one have me quite the chuckle!! First order of business for mayor Felicia: reinstate Mac as police chief lol. And needs a vacation 🙂

Gobble! Gobble! The Old Turkey is back! No, i do not mean Faison or Helene…its ME!!! (i still think Fluke is Jerry!)…anyway, im back at least for the next few months…hopefully maybe longer! You cant replace me, on this, our 5th soap,…’Another Word’…i own this role!!!…by the way, when i was almost off this site for good, why didnt you MM exAdam Y&R fans and others fly a protest banner for me…lol!!!

JIMH!!!!! Welcome back! It hasn’t been the same here at MFSoaps without your delightful input…..you have been sorely missed! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

{JimH} *grouphug

a smile just came over me whenst I saw your name above!

Happy Holidays to ALL the fellow thespians of

Michael Fairman : Hello

And to you, too, Patrick!!!! Was there anyone out there who didn’t break into a huge smile when jimh’s name appeared on this thread????? (Rhetorical question……)

I agree Patrick, Jimh IS the man!

I’m so excited Faison is back and Duke is now in charge. Should be fun!

Yes, I cheered when Duke agreed to take over Sonny’s territory. #1 Duke is way more interesting as a dark character. #2 His girlfriend Anna pretends to be clean and pure BUT she was a double agent at one time AND her and Robert took the law into their own hands. Whats the difference Anna?

I agree! I love Ian/Duke and up to this point he’s had such little/wasted airtime. Hoping we’ll see more of him. He gave his strongest performance since he’s been back when he confronted Anna. Really hoping he’s in Port Charles for the long haul and becomes more of a central figure.

I totally agree. Duke is so much better as dark character. GH really missed the ball with Duke & Anna showing them 1x every 3 weeks and not ever developing their story. It will be nice to have them go up to bats with each other in their “newfound relationship” and hopefully and quite possibly they will fall in love all over again. Conflict is always necessary in daytime after all. AND, if Robert Scorpio would like to return, I wouldn’t mind that either! I’m always happy when Finola Hughes has a story though.

it can’t be faison, and size has everything to do with it, lol, but also because it would be so obvious, Larry seems more a possible choice, but i’m thinking its neither, and we will still be in for some surprise. Hopefully its good. we’ll have to wait a little bit i guess.

I agree, both are obvious choices. LOL on the Faison comment 😉

Did someone say it’s Michael Muhney?
Sure, why not….

Obviously this is a retread of the cartel plotfrom 1991. Its obviously Bill Eckert. Does Faison even scare anyone anymore???? The most wanted criminal in the world is casually standing on the docks where every single crime in Port Charles happens….where he shot Jason……….and makes no attempt whatsoever to hide or disguise his very known appearance. Lazy stupid sophomoric writing.

Such a great eppy!!! So many twists and turns. Keep up the good work GH!

I think it’s Damian Smith

does any of you remember Damien Smith, the son of Frank Smith? Our first gut maternal instinctwas thinking him second but first Bill Eckert, his evil look like.but you got to remember fluke is not only after the loot he does not want him dead he is using him as leverage to bring down Sonny Corinthos. The fake Luke is after Sonny as well.that was Julian Jerome’s main goal is to take Sonny’s territory by destroying him permanently taking his five families territoy.but then again it’s a possibility its Cesar Faison, or Lord Aston, but who knows and yes Faison is way too short to be the fluke. And no Michael the soap opera genre is not dead at all thanks to General Hospital!it has evolved, but if only ABC TV would end this dragged out overtly dramatic REAL LIFE SOAP OPERA stupid ignorant Court lawsuit that Prospect Park has filed against them, work together and get the rights back of all my children in One Life to Live,so they can be right next to General Hospital!

In what universe is OLTL and AMC coming back to our airwaves? That ship has selled and is never coming back.

Where does height matter in this fantasy? They had no problem having Leisl don an Anna “mask” and, despite the obvious difference in height/weight, pretend she was Anna.

I guess these masks are so magical that they not only alter your face, but your voice and your body frame. Sign me up for one of those!

This whole Luke etc story is a total bore. Please end it now!

Total bore?! It’s brought back Helena Cassadine, Jerry Jacks, Larry Ashton and now Faison! That in itself is magnificent!

Sorry Jimmy, but that’s why I think its a bore.

I personally don’t care for Helena Cassadine at all. I have a super hard time looking at her face. Put her next to Jackie Zeman and it’s a horror show of horrors – far worse than Faison.

I agree. It has become comical with Luke becoming like The Incredible Hulk and breaking out of his straight jacket. That was when the story jumped the shark for me.

I think having Faison or Larry as suspects as to being Fluke is just a smoke screen. It will be someone totally different. Remember, Fluke hates Sonny. Congrats to Ron for writing an amazing episode.

BTW, agent Sloan, if you are interested in cleaning up the WSB and hauling Anna off to jail, why are you not hauling in Leisel? She was acquitted of all her nasty crimes and given the Chief of Staff job at GH by a crooked WSB organization.

Heres a way out theory…

Fluke is Robert Scorpio … wo went mad after imprisoning Faison in that hole…

NOBODY thinks that Fluke is Anthony Zacchara? Come on! He was “buried” by Heather, so anything’s possible. And he certainly hates Sonny more than does Faison, Jerry or any of the Cassadines. Bill Eckert’s an interesting possibility, but again would have no grudge against Sonny. I still think that Fluke will turn out to be Johnny’s daddy, back from the grave. Larry and Faison are red herrings. Fluke is neither of them.

The only reason I don’t think it’s Anthony is because Julian said he’s been working with Fluke for 10 years – when they met, he already looked like Luke. When Anthony was brought on in 2007, he had no resemblance or association with Luke.

I agree though, I doubt Fluke is either Larry or Faison. Cartini are the kings of red herrings, so I think someone else is Fluke. Bill Eckhart doesn’t have a grudge against Sonny, and I don’t remember him being so evil, so I don’t think it’s him. Maybe it’s Harlan Barrett? But again, whoever it is has to have a grudge against Sonny AND Luke, since he’s pretty much destroying Luke’s life. Maybe it’s a Cassadine?

I love that scenario. Bruce Weitz was so good as Anthony Zacchara. I could see that happening.

Bruce Weitz was a veritable laugh riot as AZ, but he was also lecherous enough to love women of all ages, not just the young’uns….don’t you remember him chasing after Tracy when she was his “wife?” He called her “Venus,” and couldn’t get enough of her presence. As opposed to “Fluke,” who was appalled at the notion that he had to perform his “husbandly duties” with her. Whoever this pervy perp is, it is not BW’s character…not to mention that the height difference between Fluke and Anthony is massive!

I was grinning SO much when I saw Faison! I’m SO glad he’s back, I knew he wasn’t really dead because Anna and Robert wouldn’t kill him, and I was wondering when he’d be back. I was also grinning when Helena showed up at Luke’s room, and then her scene with Alexis. That was a hoot! I love Helena, and Faison.

As for who Fluke really is, I think both Larry and Faison are red herrings. If it’s Faison parading around in a mask again, it will be redundant and unimaginative. If it’s Larry, what grudge does he have against Sonny? So I think it will be someone unexpected. I’m just hoping for the reveal to come soon, and for Ric to come back!

How about Alcazar? That would be interesting.

I would also like to see Anthony Zacchara come back.
I am also waiting for Ric to come back.
Both are such great actors.

Just watched the Thanksgiving GH again. Still entertaining. Noticed Lord Larry ask Michael about Kiki using a some sleazy reference to her…much like groping Fluke did when her was impersonating Luke in PC. Makes me think they are the same guy, whoever that may be. Also Faison said to Helena he didn’t take orders from her when he was looking as if he was going into Nicholas mansion. Does that mean there is even a higher boss for both?

Thank you, Shay…..same wishes to you, sweet lady…..the weather was not so bad…no snow which is always a plus. Except for my paternal grandparents, we all live within minutes of each other….I love it.
How about that Faison?….lol….later…pax

Jimh….you are the best….joy to you and yours also. I am so glad you will be sticking around…..much love and peace.

Yes, CeeCee….how ’bout that Faison???? I’m wondering if he won’t be donning his Duke disguise once again now that the real Mr. Lavery has been handed the reins to Sonny’s empire???? Could explain why his presence is currently required in Port Charles….beyond his burning desire to be near to his beloved Anna—and not-so-beloved Liesl!!!!—of course. (Glad to hear you had no weather issues to prevent a joyous holiday weekend….by the way, the manicotti sounded delish! Cheese or meat-filled? Personally, I love veal and spinach, but this is neither the time nor place to discuss cooking/recipes!…LOL.)

Hey, Shay…
Oh, yeah, that Faison….our hearts beat as one…LOL.
Well, methinks Faison is not Faison. Whoever is impersonating him has no idea that this great love between Liesl and Faison is one-sided.
Faison’s behavior toward Liesl is the complete opposite of what I expected. I never saw him show so much affection ….he was always repulsed by her. To me? Well, that’s a tell-tale sign that he is not Faison…..his lust has always been directed towards Anna.
Now, let’s see…..Ashton seems to gravitate more and more towards Fluke in my head. I do believe him to be Fluke….too many coincidences.
If I am wrong about these two characters, then I will eat turkey…..yuck !!!! I hate turkey and the smell is foul….I know, poor attempt at a joke….LOL.

On another note….have you ever known a newborn to hold his/her own bottle????? What a precocious baby, Ava’s child is, yes?

I think it’s okay to exchange recipes on this site….I’m sure Monsieur Fairman won’t mind.
The manicotti is my mother-in-law’s recipe…………(20 shells of precooked manicotti); stir fry in “Pam” 1lb. ground lean beef; 1/2 lb ground pork; salt to taste; add quart ricotta; 16 ounces shredded mozzarella or pizza shredded cheese; half cup egg beaters;; minced parsley ; black pepper to taste……’moosh’ it all together with your hand (if you find that yucky, use plastic glove…LOL). Fill each manicotto with a very full tablespoon of the mixture; fold and bake at 350 for 45minutes to an hour (don’t forget the sauce)…..
You may also try this recipe with Alfredo sauce….yummy good. I made both….
Believe it or not I must have gained 5 lbs in one day. I weighed 105 lbs. this morning…’gotta’ get on that treadmill. ….later.

I meant 115 lbs, Shay. I wish I were that thin….
I forgot to say that I have given up on the disclosure of Kiki’s real mother. The opportunity came and went….didn’t it? The thunderbolt should have struck as Ava was giving birth…..so, what other pivotal occurrence can top that for this storyline?

Your “recipe” sounds “molto delizioso,” CeeCee, although I was envisioning you rolling the pasta before stuffing those manicotti! (As I was growing up, we had a number of wonderful Italian restaurants we would frequent, so I was spoiled by all the “from scratch” dishes….particularly the handmade ravioli, canneloni and manicotti…..for some reason, they always featured veal and spinach within!) I barely even eat pasta these days, let alone cook it at home, although I do a mean veal and eggplant marinara! I’m mostly into organic roast chicken and grass-fed beef…not so much the turkey, though, like yourself…unless it’s Boar’s Head deli…they have the best selection and quality of meats!!!! (The peppered varieties are to die for….) I had to laugh when you suggested the “plastic glove.” I actually slip Ziploc sandwich bags onto my hands whenever I handle raw meat,….ick!…so you nailed that quirk of mine to a “t!” Having said that, I still consider Italian cuisine to be the best of them all….by the way, do you ever visit “Eataly?” It sounds so awesome, but I have yet to make it there, yet I have read a great deal about it due to Lidia B.’s involvement….I know it gets quite busy! Anyway, on to GH…..I took Faison’s feigned affection toward Liesl as simply a means to an end…he obviously needs her to accomplish whatever task is at hand, so that explains those insincere gestures that she is just lapping up like a thirsty dog….(Poor Dr. Ohhhhhhhhh!!!!) But I believe him to be the genuine Cesar…as for the object of his obsession, Anna, I suppose the man is not just a little bit miffed at the fact she helped shove him into that dank hole in the ground….perhaps that has at least temporarily dampened the ardor he harbors for her???? About Fluke? I have a unique take on him….I still believe that he is currently ensconced in Chez Quartermaine and Helena has RealLuke stashed somewhere else, and if such is not the case, then there will soon be another switch back. Additionally, whoever is holding the gun on Julian is a masked imposter—possibly Larry—creating an alibi for Fluke. I also found it suspicious that Luke refused hospital care, probably due to the fact that he realized his identity would be medically verified…hence, no checkup, and if Tracy has any sense whatsoever, she will do a “physical inventory” of the “Mr. Spencer” on her premises to look for his unique characteristics….I will let your imagination take flight on that suggestion, but it really beggars belief that before now such an examination has not occurred. In terms of “Lord Drinks A Lot,” aka Larry, I consider him more of a team player in this caper, but not the ringleader….hence, not Fluke. I remain committed to the notion that would be Bill Eckert or one of the other presumed dead miscreants from the early ’90’s who has physically transformed himself into a “Lukealike.” Oy….what a tangled web!!!! Lastly, I’m with you on the Kiki reveal….I’m surmising that the delay in the Fluke resolution has caused a number of loose ends to remain untied, Kiki’s true maternal lineage being among them???? Right now, I just want to see Ava’s poor infant relieved of Nina’s possession….it makes me physically ill to witness her cooing over and cuddling that innocent babe, although Franco was extremely touching when he took over cradling duties!!!!! Awwww……

This is pure gh! It almost feels like they are picking up where things left off in 91/92

there’s SO “much” going on… RIGHT now… in Port Charles

i’m on for the ride… I’m awaiting the outcome

2 things that are uppermost prevailing on my “show”

that Ava, Morgan, and child move together

that Nina… finds her way out of her mindset and triggers with, Franco

PS: I’ll always love Duke and Anna
PS: I’ll always love Scotty and Bobbi
PS: I’ll always love Britt and Nicholas
PS: I’ll always love Mac and Felicia

Lucas has been looking SO fine… where’s Brad

I hope that Faison isn’t a red herring as shared…. I know he’s not contract or even recurring… but it’s a let “out” for Dr. O to feel contact… not that Faison treds as much… but it’s an ideal that Dr. O should go

danged! I’m torn… I truly wanted Ric to return to Liz… I don’t think.. at this time… that nuJason and Sam… have any chemistry… as she’s too staid and monotone… even Victoria in Genoa City had more stutz pa… so she’s GOOD with Patrick

I don’t know.. there’s so much going on…. LOL

do liz and Jason have a chance
is this just push and pull for a threesome with Liz, Sam, and Jason… I don’t know that it’d really work… it depends on how lively Jason and Sam reel

as for Anthony Geary! kudos to you for Fluke, Luke, and whomever else you may reel… it’s applaud for your curtain call… or furthering your 8th emmy… leave that alone… enjoy your veteran call to the set

Fluke is Harlan Bennett who’s brain was implanted into a dead Billl Eckert. Bill was shot in the head and died in Luke’s arms, correct? Harlan wants revenge against Sonny because he took over the territory that he and the cartel tried o acquire, and for the way he treated Brenda. I can only hope that we will see Brenda and Julia in the near future. I also wouldn’t mind if Paul Hornsby came back. He was also working for the Cartel.

Who is Harlan Bennett? I hope this is the end of the masks on General Hospital.

Actually it’s Harlan “Barrett”….Brenda’s (and the aforementioned Julia’s) father. I mistyped his name earlier on this thread….my bad. He is yet another presumed dead player from back in the Faison, Lord Ashton and Bill Eckert days…they all were tied together in an early ’90’s cartel caper. He was portrayed by Michael Cole of “Mod Squad” fame.

Obviously Fluke came back to the Mansion when he winked at Tracy. The real Luke would have gone to his daughter. Don’t you think people are getting tired of watching the same old story line? Move it along now that Luke is aware of what is going on, enough suspense with Faison and Larry and all your other weirdos. Let’ s get the story rolling in a positive direction for a change. By the way, what is going on with Sonny? He is a super character with lots of compassion for those he loves. Please don’ destroy his character. Where is Robin? Your writers pick up and drop characters like it means nothing to those who watch your show.. Bring her back.

Exactly, Elaine. I am so tired of Luke/Fluke/Duke, I want to Puke. My interest is waning as we (metaphorically) speak.

Not sure who fluke is, but I can tell you that was not duke lavery last Wednesday. The way he talked to anna was simply bizarre. First of all, he would never risk losing her to go back into organized crime, especially after spending 20+ years in prison. Secondly, it was the way he conceded to end the relationship. He accepted it willingly, which duke would never do. Their whole conversation was off. The camera angles during those scenes were weird as well, like they were trying to tell us something. My money is on duke since this whole fluke thing start with them wanting Sonny’s business? And duke is now running Sonny’s business. With Helena running around no one should rule out mind control, which is what I think happened to duke. However, I think he is one of the many players in that game. Should be fun to watch.

At first, I thought Fluke was Faison. But then, I ruled that out because Luke is much taller than Faison… At least in my eyes. Did anyone else question this?

I’m sorry but as a fan of GH since 1980’s before Luke and Laura I am completely over it now. The story lines are so far fetched and beyond real. I stopped watching for a period of time and now just wish I never turned it on again. STUPID… 2 Luke Masks. Give me back the old who’s sleeping with who and who’s the daddy any day over this pile of bs.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
