GENERAL HOSPITAL: Fluke Reveals Himself To Luke! But Just Who Is This Guy?

Courtesy/ABC
This Friday showcased the talents of the best in the business, seven-time Daytime Emmy winner Anthony Geary (Luke/Fluke)! And there is material in this episode that could well get him nominated again in 2015!
So what goes down? Finally, a drugged out messed-up Luke Spencer meets his doppelganger, the evil crime lord whose main goal is to bring down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and take over Port Charles , and is using Luke as the vehicle to do so! In key scenes, Fluke tells Luke how he engineered the switcheroo, waiting for his moment to come and it did, when Luke was taken away by Heather’s (Robin Mattson) goons to Miscavige.
Fluke also reveals how he set-up Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to take the fall for him and planted a gun to make it look like Ric shot Lucas (Ryan Carnes)! And Fluke mentions multiple times how he is having his way with Tracy (Jane Elliot)! In a heartbreaking moment, Fluke tells Luke he is grandfather to little Rocco! But in the final moments of their scenes, Fluke gloats in a very sinister way right into the camera in essence saying that nobody knows his real identify yet! He explains to Luke he is saying goodbye for now and thus leaving him locked up, while he goes on his honeymoon with Tracy out of town for awhile. The whole set-up gave viewers the opportunity to watch another tour de force performance by Geary!
Watch an excerpt of Luke meeting Fluke after the jump! And then put on your thinking caps one more time – what do we know? A) Fluke hates Sonny Corinthos more than anything B) Fluke looks exactly like Luke C) There has been talk of B.E. Barrett Enterprises that some are guessing are really the initials for Luke’s cousin Bill Eckert, but could that be a red-herring! So, weigh-in after watching Friday’s episode! Who do you think Fluke really is?

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

it’s obviously Bill, he’s after Sonny because he used to work for Frank Smith responsible for his “death”, he’s after Tracy because she treated Bill’s sister Jenny horribly and he’s after Luke because he was shot because the mob mistook him for Luke. Also Bill used to have control over Barrett with Brenda’s sister Julia
I never watched much of those Bill episodes…thanks for the info…it does sound like it is Bill!!!
I, too, didn’t watch back then… and there are so many possibilities being brought up, it could be so many people. I think the Bill Eckert theory holds the most weight, and it would make way more sense than another stupid mask story.
Another reason: When Fluke was in his office counting money, he was talking to somebody on the May 2nd episode, it was like the person was dead because he was talking to the air. He was doing it for someone dead. The only person that could be is Sly, Bill’s son. They were best friends. After Bill died, Sly hung out with Lucky for a while but then faded away (with no explanation, as far as I know).
All of Enrique’s reasons are great, but I’ve often wondered where Sly is. He could’ve been another Spencer relative to show up, an early-thirties hunk. Maybe he died somehow, and Fluke/Bill holds Sonny responsible.
That’s my months-long theory and I’m sticking to it!
Like Fluke, Bill also loved the ladies, as his two-timing with Holly (Geary & Samms together again) and Victoria showed….
Sly went to live with his aunt Jenny and her husband Paul Hornsby.
Plus when Bill died he owned some shares of ELQ.However upon his death they went to Bill’s son Sly but because he was not of age his aunt Jenny had control of them. She then sold them to Damian Smith. So maybe “Luke” wanting ELQ is personal too.Plus Ned treated Jenny badly too.
I have always thought it is Luke’s twin-thus allowing the final circle to be complete that maybe somehow he was the one who ‘raped’ Laura.(Yes I know all the shows in the history then and how can that be reversed)
But it would allow the character of Luke to have atonement and GH to get rid of that bad part in the shows life when they had the rapist marry the woman. A month ago I recall Kiki being told the story of Luke that he had raped someone along time ago-I wondered why they said that-unless planting a seed…just saying …
General Hospital has spellbinding stories and the best actors in the business to bring us outstanding performances.
Anthony Geary is beyond great in his portrayal of Fluke and he actually, at times, makes my skin tight! His mannerisms, his eyes, are ERRIE !!..
BRAVO !!! Anthony Geary !!!!
GH well deserves to be #1 ..
It is what a soap should be; mysteries, surprises, thrills, intrigue, heavy drama, fast paced stories, huge variety, and humor, It is #1 in my world!!
Never a dull moment ..
Great description of what makes GH such a great soap right now – I agree 100%. Loving every minute of it!
This is what I like to think. He is a relative of frank smith or lily rivera who are both gone, Since he is wearing a mask. I would like to think GH hired Michael Muhery as a ruthless mobster which he would play to a tee and going after Sonny. Some of flukes movements hand, crossing the legs reminded me of MM character of adam. Just saying
I have absolutely no idea who he is! What I will say is I was so beyond impressed with Anthony Geary’s acting…as Fluke I felt revulsion and detestment…as Luke I felt so much empathy it was heart-wrenching. I felt his powerlessness, his despair, his hopelessness, angst…his rage at being taken over…his inability to stop this lunatic from taking using Tracy in every way imaginable. Luke, this once unstoppable force…beaten down and kept like a chained dog…drugged out of existence…gave me chills. When he roared for Fluke to leave Tracy alone…he depicted a man who gathered up every last ounce of strength he could muster to shout out his rage…yet he broke my heart.
I think his dual roles were Oscar worthy let alone Emmy worthy. Tony Geary hasn’t had any scenes like this in years…it’s almost a pity to see so clearly how wasted his talent was on the show for so long.
I only hope this isn’t how he goes out. I remember in past interviews he said he wouldn’t mind making room for the younger generation…he has a great life in Europe….and that he wouldn’t mind if Luke died in a blaze of glory. Feeling he may never get as rich a story as he is now…this might be it. Sigh…I’d miss him.
So well stated! I hate to see him go, and as far as i can see, there is no great acting in this younger generation on GH. Yes, there are good ones, but none of the young adults that I would cry if they left. I hope if Tony does decide to go, that Luke will be gone for a while and then (sacrilege) I hope they find someone t o replace him. He’s irreplaceable, but Luke is needed, just as I feel Kimberly McCullough (who I have loved since she was a child) needs to be replaced. She does not want the job, and Robin is sorely needed. JMHO.
If Anthony Geary does leave i won’t blame him one bit. However i think as long as he has good material i see him staying.I just don’t think he wants to be wasted on GH.I’m sure Tony Geary has enough money now to retire. So to him been on GH may have more to do with the kind of material he can get and less about the money.
Very well put, rebecca1!!!! This latest “tour de force” by AG certainly reminds one of his (and GH’s!) glory days….THIS is what has been missing for far too long in the present Port Charles landscape! With the exception of the brief return of Robert Scorpio, we have not been treated to this sort of thrilling storytelling and heart-rending portrayals that those of us who recall the rich history of GH have been requesting. As for this being the possible “swansong” for Lucas Lorenzo Spencer, I certainly wouldn’t count the old codger out yet, but it would be much better than seeing him have to revert to the ridiculous waste of his talent that has become rather par for the course over these last few years….especially if the actor refuses to take part in an ultimate, come full-circle fairytale ending with Laura.
Nahhhh. It’s a reincarnated/brought back from the dead Cassidine, or a previously unknown to us Cassidine. They HATE Luke more than anyone else, and have plenty of hatred to go around Port Charles. STILl think Nina is a Cassidine, too. And SHE & Silas are the detective kid’s real bio parents.
No. I think Dr. O is Detective West’s mom…and Britt his sister. But…Dr. O was in love with Faison…and West isn’t his kid…so she gave him up. I’m thinking Victor Cassadine, who still seems to be in love with the doc…is his father.
I’m thinking Rafe is Silas and Nina’s son…
ANTHONY ZACCHARA
It has to do with a Lab…It has to do with some member of the League of Doom…they’ve managed to make Anthony Geary look like the Luke of old..this is not a mask this time..these evil geniuses have managed to evolve beyond what even they thought possible and Sonny and Michael too are gonna pay for Claudia…
mmmmm..just wait till Jason returns…PC may become the next WalkingDead..LOL
Dave, it was something to do with a Lab? I love Labs! They are the best dogs ever.
YES!!!
Thinking Fluke might be a relative of Frank Smith that had surgery to look like him. Didn’t Frank Smith also hate Luke, too?
The imposter storyline has been done many times. I am hoping this one moves on quickly. Painful to see the real Luke locked up. Maybe the imposter will turn out to be a tall version of someone Sonny fathered and forgot whose sporting a mask. Bummer to see Rick Lansing taking the fall for this clown, good to see Elizabeth standing up for him with her visit to Alexa and Julian. Hoping this storyline moves along quickly and that the House of Cards fall soon for the imposter. Was hoping Julian and Alexa find some true happiness. With his lying about Rick, we know that will catch up to him at some point. I can only hope everything backfires on the phony Luke very soon.
I totally agree. BTW, her name is Alexis.
I agree…very upset they’re pinning it on Rick. Hopefully Elizabeth will stick by him; let’s not forget she abandoned AJ when he was accused of his crime. (I really like Rick.)
Also agree about Julian. I love his character as well and am hoping they keep him on the show. FINALLY Alexis is having a great love story…and it all fits so well with she/Sam/Danny and Julian…I don’t know how she’ll come back from this lie when she finds out. It’s bad enough that he’s helping to frame her ex-husband…but he swore on Sammy and Danny’s life. At least when Rick swore on Molly’s he was telling the truth!
And yes, his reasons are understandable…he’s a desperate man trying to save those he loves…but at the same time Alexis will feel betrayed, angered about vilfying Rick a(not to mention what it will do to Molly) and realize that if he could swear on his children’s lives so easily…how can she ever trust him.
Pity they decided to go this route.
fridays episode was so awesome, of course geary was superb, and the ending was priceless, finally the show feels back on track, loved everyone on fridays episode. and if anyone can help, love the song playing at the end of the show, does any one know the name of the song or the artist. GH should give credit on the song and the end of the episodes like the prime time shows do.
I agree about the episodes and music.
on a slightly shallow note, for which i profusely apologise, this proves that Tony Geary doesn’t have to wear a hair piece. he looks very well “au naturel” – better, in fact
RC swears that is TG’s hair! I missed the episode forgot to tape oh well will get interested again when TG comes back from vacation. The Ava storyline being pregnant gosh RC stop it please with the babies! Over kill! Love the chemistry with Liz & Ric I had forgotten how really sweet they are together. I am hoping this is Bill Eckert enough with the masks and plastic surgery.
Tony Geary is an AMAZING ACTOR!!!! He’s DAYTIMES’ FINEST!!! I HOPE THE REVEAL OF WHO HE IS WILL B SOON!!!! I AGREE WITH U MICHAEL FAIRMAN I C AN EMMY IN HIS FUTURE!!!! :):):)
i agree…acting is Emmy material….but really, bringing another dead person back? GH is slowly becoming “The Walking Dead of Daytime”. oh so tired of Lukealike
I wonder if Fake-Luke is a character from Loving or The City who is wearing a mask or something??
Fridays episode was classic soap opera. Excellent writing & every actor was on their A game. Whoever Fluke is Heather has to know
Didn’t Todd, er, I mean Franco kill Heather? Gosh, I hope so. I agree it was great.
Tony Geary has always been one of the best in the business when the writers give him quality material to work with, and this is definitely one of those occasions. When he looked into the camera at the end of the show and said “Who am I? Wouldn’t you like to know?”, I got chills. He certainly didn’t win those 7 Emmy awards for nothing.
I know everyone has their differing opinions on the “Fluke” storyline, but I for one have been loving it. I’m glad they moved it along to where it was finally revealed what we’ve all suspected, that the real Luke was being help captive. I just wish we were gonna see more sooner rather than later, but it looks like we’ll have to wait, as TG is probably headed out for his usual summer vacation.
They definitely peaked my curiosity, and left me wanting more, that’s for sure. Great storytelling. The show is on a roll again, which this week’s ratings report proves. “RIP GH” my rear end!
I think fluke is Trevor Lansing he hated Sonny and Rick and he was part of the mob.
I do not remember TL too well. Was he a lecherous, and demeaning of women? I know he hated S and R.
Of course he was lecherous and demeaning to women. He was a mobster.
Because of the initial thing…B.E.,…its more than likely he is Bill but was Bill evil and all…didnt he die in Lukes arms…did he originally hate Luke so much he’d do this to him…where did he get all this money…maybe the B.E. was mentioned just to throw us off and think its Bill…maybe Luke had an identical twin no one knew about who became wealthy and twisted and was once in love with someone connected to Sonny who died because of him and Fluke wants revenge…maybe Jerry had reconstructive surgery(no mask) to look like phoney Luke…OH GOD, JUST PUT ME IN MISCAVIGE BECAUSE THEIR DRIVING ME NUTS WITH THIS STORYLINE…LOL!!!
Ok, Tracy obviously has seen Luke in all his glory…wouldnt she notice that Flukes body doesnt look entirely the same…Tracy to Luke: ‘My darlin, there is something a little different about Mr. Peepers…explain yourself?’…Luke to Tracy:’ Lets just let Mr. Peepers do all the explaining, if you know what i mean?’…lol
I used to wonder about the same thing all those times on Days when Stefano hired look a likes to take over the lives of some of citizens in Salem. I used to think he had one hellva of a plastic surgeon on staff that every detail of the body was altered to look like the original either that or everyone in Salem had sex with their eyes closed — or maybe they were watching Letterman and just never paid much attention LOL is right.
I thought Luke has made every excuse and has not had sex with Tracy and that Mr. Peepers has kept to himself?
As Mary SF says I used to wonder when they did this on other shows. For instance they had a Fake Erica on AMC. She had sex with Erica’s fiancé (maybe husband) Jackson. Surely there would be differences, if nothing else freckles, things said in private, etc. Unless you hold the world at arm’s length, people would notice differences. … and in this case, I knew from the second day “Luke” was back. And I have not seen Mr. Peepers.
It would seem that Tracy is so caught up in the ecstasy of it all, it has rendered her brain inoperational…..Alexis is another one who suffers from this same malady…so stoked she is over the fact that she finally has a man that she is wandering around PC in a complete fog!!!! God, do I hate stupid women!!!!!
B.E. is Barrett Enterprises!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill Eckert would be a huge disappoint and I don’t think it will be him. Regardless Tony Geary has done a fantastic job you can tell he is actually enjoying being able to play something different for a change of pace
maybe he is Harlan Barrett…back from the dead…but didnt he like Tracy?
Still think there is no mask, it’s Bill.
I’m sure it’s Bill, but I would love for it to be Alcazar! If it were it could also pave the way for Skye to return.
I don’t remember Alcazar being this evil. This is pure evil. If it’s any character we love there’s no coming back from this…
He would probably be really angry that Sonny had Jason try to kill him ( I say try because there was no body). He would have been hiding out all of these years away from his daughter. Plus Luke and Skye had a thing too.
I think the first thing that would come to Luke’s mind is his cousin, once he saw the imposter face to face despite the haze of the drugs but strangely he did not mentioned it. I still put my money on Bill Ekert because why would someone go thru the trouble of buying Barrett enterprise as a front when there is probably dozens of other companies he could have purchased. Bill Ekert had several connections to the Barretts.
Wouldn’t they more likely have someone more people know about? I’m just asking. When BE was on GH I did not have a recording device and seldom saw it. So I don’t know if he was lecherous and disliked women and was a cold blooded murderer etc. The times I saw him, he seemed okay.
Back in the day, as shown on air, Bill was a quiet family man, a single father who loved his son, and an all around nice guy. As time went on he began to lose a few of his morals and values as he got more entwined with business and mafia elements. Flash forward 21 years and he is a vicious sociopath with no redeeming qualities. Just another day in the Character Destruction room with Ron Carlivati. However…this story twist is okay because Bill is not a character with long term potential. He is gone and forgotten from the canvas. He was a milquetoast failed experiment on the show when Gloria Monty decided that viewers wanted to see strange interloping Italians eating pasta every day. In the past 20 years anything could have changed Bill. Family deaths….brain experiments and altering….cryogenic freezing….bad hair….anything. Or since he was on the show for such a brief time…maybe he always was a psychopath and the nice family man image was his cover. I agree…enough masks and plastic surgery and voice boxes that allow demented Danes to sound like soft spoken Scots…and that allow agitated German/Swiss women to sound like a Brit. The Bill thing is logical in soapland and and it is playing into history. Maybe he is the financier who has also allowed Heather to come and go from nuthouses for all these years. I doubt it was was sexual favours that kept those strapping young guards in line. Heather was a fox back in the day….but now…yeah…sixty and saggin’ does not get them baggin’.
@Johnny…LOL! Love that Heather sex slam, even though she is my favorite wandering nutcase, and by the way, just where has she been? As if any asylum walls could contain her!!!! I have been wondering just what part the “BLT Queen” played in the latest Luke saga….on one hand, she obviously had him detained to hide her Carly kidnapping caper, but beyond that, just how much did she know? She was angry that RealLuke had previously spurned her romantic advances, but was it enough to make him suffer such inhumane indignities? One would think with her “free hall pass” she would have been spotted lurking about the Miscavige to see what’s what. I am almost hoping that the switch with “ErsatzLuke” went above and beyond her involvement so that perhaps she will discover the genuine article and help him regain his sense of identity and ultimately, his freedom. Would be kind of cool to see Ms. Webber be a heroine of sorts….for once!!!!! Whatever, we definitely need to have a Heather update soon….she should be back in the mix amongst all the other assorted nuts inhabiting Port Charles these days.
Luke is drugged out of his mind and to his knowledge his cousin died…in his arms…so I can understand why that wouldn’t occur to him.
But Bill was blue collar. Where would he get millions of dollars?
Bill inherited some land in Alaska that was worth 3 million dollars and then he used that to make more money.Plus at the time of his death he did own stock in ELQ.
Whoever the fake Luke is he has a grudge against Sonny and it seems he dislikes Ric too.Plus i’m wondering if it’s someone Luke knows too from his past.As for who it is i’m wondering if “Luke” is Ric’s father Trevor Lansing.I know Trevor is dead but when has that stopped a soap before?
I still think he’s Bill Eckert but his vendetta against Sonny has yet to be explained. Remember when Fluke was in his office and looked up and said “I’m doing this for you, buddy” or something like that? There’s a personal angle to his revenge scheme. Bill Eckert was at one time in deep with Harlan Barrett in some shady activities and had some knowledge of Barrett Enterprises and he even dated Harlan’s daughter Julia who ran the company. And if Fluke is not Bill, why would someone go through the trouble of becoming Luke and taking his place to pull off this vendetta? Tracy is dumb when it comes to men so a good-looking rich guy could have easily swept her off her feet without assuming Luke’s identity, especially if Tracy thought Luke had abandoned her. The answer is that Fluke already did look like Luke– he’s Bill Eckert.
Or Jenny – just look at the hair.
I agree because by now if he’s been intimate w/Tracy she would know about a mask, the line, the rubber etc. So the person would have to be cousin Bill or someone w/plastic surgery. I hope we don’t have wait until Geary returns from Summer vacation.
spellbinding performance. so good, i had a hard time recognizing the real luke. general hospital at its best.
Finally, Luke got a haircut! But damn, I really just want Luke out of the picture. I’m ready for this storyline to be officially over it, it has been dragged out for too long now. Just tell us who “Fluke” is. I think it’s Gino Solitio, or Ric’s father.
WAs Gino Solitio ever on the show in real life? I mean is this someone they are making up now, or was he really on at one time.? If so, was he a lecherous person who disliked women and coldblooded murderer? I never saw him. I don’t remember anyone I’ve seen on the show treating women like this. Maybe Anthony, but I don’t remember him interacting much with Luke and even if he came back from the dead, he’d be too old to have this much energy.
Gino was married to Tracy, and since Tracy used the Soleito money into ELQ, it’d make sense. Plus, when Sonny married Claudia, he did take over their territory. Whether he was seen before or not wouldn’t pertain to them bringing him back into the fold of the series.
Tracy appeared on The City. Gino Soleito was a character on that show. He never appeared on GH. That would be an epic fail.
The most amazing scenes ever ! OLTL has torn my heart at times, but these GH scenes, in my opinion ,, are daytime’s best ever. You could feel the torment that was going on in real Luke’s head. My heart broke for his suffering.
Being locked away, drugged, are powerful nightmare creating images.
Phenomenal performance by Tony Geary!! I have no idea who Fluke is though…
All I can say is bravo Anthony Geary. Job well done in portraying a double role.
Oh my gosh….what did I just see on Fridays episode. I got back watching last year. I am hooked on it again. My theory is that it should either be 1) Faison 2) Jacks…or what about 3) someone else Jason….possibly…?
Only time will tell.
I have been DVR since last year caught up in a mystery of deception. Amazing ….
Are they going to really let us know….or keep us in the dark…..’
Hope it’s not Jason – can’t imagine Tracy would be too pleased to find out she’s on honeymoon with her nephew 🙁
Diane, when you say Jacks, do you mean Jerry Jax or Jasper Jax?
Jason respects women, so it could not possibly be him. He does not hate Sonny nor Luke. Jason is not the right height or body as Luke. Though how they are doing it I don’t know, but fluke seems to have a bigger head and a face than Luke. I’ve felt this the whole time.
Jason does not respect women. He’s a murderer. Murderers don’t respect people…men or women. The thug has been dead for two years and people are still romanticizing him.
What I was speaking of is Jason does not go into a room and think “How many of these women can I manhandle or sleep with. He does not touch women without their permission, etc. I don’t romanticize him.
I had to taped Friday’s show, yes tape as in old fashioned videotape, but the sound didn’t come out, so I had to watch the show with closed caption so I missed the essence of the performance verbally, but just watching facial expression without sound on those scenes I can honestly say Mr. Geary did outstanding work.
And the closed captioning people identified fake Luke as Fluke as well, which I thought was hilarious.
i prefer Lukealike, but need to end this soon
Haven’t heard Lukealike! Did you just make that up or is that another pseudo name floating out there? Hilarious!
Me too! I was using “Lukealike” months ago, before the “Fluke” moniker took hold. But at this point, I’m dubbing the dastardly double “Ersatz Luke” because that says it all!!!!!
That is so funny that they called him Fluke. I think I would have laughed out loud. I guess it’s too late to do that with my DVRed version.
Anthony Geary is doing a dual role : it’s so skank, it’s so wretched, it’s so little shop of horrors,
for all the Luke fans : it’s horrific…
OUR Luke is boxed straight mind numbing swimming in his own thoughts
the two times I teared
1. when FLUKE showed Luke his wedding ring with Tracy
“she’s a good woman, do not hurt her” thats tears
2. when he told Luke about Rocco…. you could see in his body… his face… Lulu has HER child. really tearful
I wasn’t watching GH back when bill was on
i’m really ENJOYing watching the acting choices of Anthony Geary.
it’s not must see… for me… but… he’s STEALING the show
I’m enchanted by the nuances of the polar opposite
If its Bill could Jamie Lunar play Julia Barret?????? Please????
Its very possible that’s its alcazar or zacharra
LUKEALIKE MUST BE REVEALED SOON…OK to continue with this S/L but tell us who he is…if it’s Bill, then maybe they should rename the show “Port Charles Walking Dead”
it’s cathartic to realize
one on hand… AG’ Fluke is persona non grata : which is riveting chilling HIS stuff
and you see original Luke… remaining vigil within himself…and not teetering but waiting it out… having to bide his time
what’s next?
Bravo to Tony Geary ! What an amazing performance in this dual role. This was definitely an EMMY winning performance. Talk about a rollar coaster of emotions as a viewer feeling sorry for Luke and angry at Fluke. Amazing job!
Tony wants Luke to die but I see where Laura might waltz in once Fluke is dead, nurse Luke back to health and run off into the sunset. Sorry Tracy.
Timmm…..As much as AG seems to be against that scenario, I would hope that he would reconsider when the time for Luke’s “swansong” arrives. The fans who have followed his character on this incredible three decades-plus journey deserve a satisfying conclusion, and for it not to end hand-in-hand with Laura is truly unimaginable! Whatever he has with Tracy cannot hold a candle to the magic he made with his “angel.”
With Fluke leaving town for his honeymoon, does this mean Geary is off the show on one of his long Europe vacations?
Last year Anthony Geary split up his Summer vacation. He took a few weeks off at the beginning of the Summer but came back for a few weeks. Then he left again until the Fall.So he might do the same thing this year. That way he won’t be off screen the whole Summer.
My guess is yes. I wonder if Tracy will be spending months with Fluke on the honeymoon. I’m afraid he’d kill her. And surely over that period of time she’d figure it out.
Maybe Fluke will bring back a fake Tracy when they return from their ‘honeymoon’?
A bit disappointed with my girl Tracy. No two people make love or kiss the same way. That and the personality differences weigh heavily against the Fluke! Wake up girl; Ned remain vigilant.
Fluke revealed he had been a patient in Miscavige for a long period of time all the while plotting his revenge against Sonny and studying Luke’s history, personality and everything and anything necessary to fool all that know him. (Although people are definitely noticing that something is amiss. I ask myself, was this guy committed to Miscavige because he was to serve a sentence as someone criminally insane or was this enemy someone assumed to have been killed by Sonny or Jason but who actually committed himself voluntarily to use the asylum as a refuge, while devising and waiting for the right time to execute a fiendish plan.
The possible candidates buzzed about I e Bill E, Alcazar, or Jerry Jacks make sense because they all had dealings with Sonny- last seen Jerry Jacks was helped to escape with the help of Julian . I thought about some other evil villains from the past as well such as Grant Putnam (a dastardly dude who was obsessed with Robin and Anna), but he wasn’t in the mob, and was committed to an Asylum by Scorpio before Sonny arrived in Port Charles. Manny Ruiz was head of a crime family (he was obsessed with Sam) and thrown from a roof (supposedly killed) by Jason. Faith Roscoe was a super psychopath who would definitely fit the profile wanting death to Sonny Inc. with no love for Luke either, It would be great if Fluke was really a woman but it wouldn’t fly because even thought body parts can be replicated they could prove to be non-functional in some cases ( re husbandly duties). I do think the initials B.E is a teaser just as A.J. was,, though I don’t count Bill. His m o is different than the pretender. Fluke is a sociopathic, cold-blooded thug of the worst kind ,who wants to push dope , is a sexual predator etc. I don’t remember B.E. being psychotic, nor Jerry Jacks being a dope pusher or pervert. Alcazar and Ruiz would fit that profile better.
One added note, Tony Geary is giving a stellar performance, that has me so repulsed that I can’t stand watching him but I do. It seems that Geary is wearing some putty- (something that Orson Wells used to do) it looks like him but doesn’t His profile looks different – He made me feel how tortured, trapped , dulled and drugged he’s being kept but thru it all the Spencer spirit with its pure will, strength and mental acuity still prevails. I hope Tony will be recognized for this body of work. It’s been the best acting on the show that I’ve seen in many years.
Cannot be a women. Fluke slept with Tracy.
exactly which is why part of what I commented was that even if body parts could be replicated it wouldn’t fly because some of those parts would have to function in order for Fluke to take care of his wife in the sack. ( I said husbandly duties) but it was just a thought since Faith Roscoe would be such a great candidate.
YES! Faith Roscoe would be the ultimate! They have done the latex mask twice so yeah, why not replicate “Moving Parts”. Its a soap!
It’s Jennifer Smith
Helena had Stavros’ body cryogenically frozen.
Mikkos Cassadine, tried to freeze the world with a weather machine!!
the carbonic snow !
They are attempting to bring Jason back to life..
And never forget.. Helena secretly put a curse on Luke and Laura..
she blames them for her husband Mikkos’ death..
ahh that was when the late great Elizabeth Taylor was Helena Cassadine!!
Anyways!!
I believe that Fluke is a clone .. -a clone- of Luke
It would be another far out Cassadine experiment..
Yah! I like that!!!
It has to be someone from the Cassadine family who is evil
The Cassadines have nothing against Sonny. Fluke hates Sonny.
It’s either Trevor Lansing, or Jennifer Smith transformed into a man. Roseanne could pull that off, right?! 😉
While the “BE” clue may be a red-herring, what about the “DNA” and “kidney” remarks??? This would lead one to believe that this is indeed a blood-relative of the real Luke Spencer….which means it’s either Bill Eckert or there’s another unknown family member with an uncanny resemblance to the original…a long-lost twin or another cousin???? By now, it would seem that a mask-erade is not involved in this duplicitous deed, so either plastic surgery or a real-life double is the key to solving this mystery. I do think the puzzle should be answered sooner rather than later….this whole “Fluke” thing has been dragged out long enough….I hate to think that we have to go through the entire summer without a satisfactory conclusion.
They’ll probably drag it out and bring back a fake Tracy who will help Fluke take over ELQ…lol
Quite frankly, jimh, at this point, a faux Tracy could be refreshing! Ms. Quartermaine-Spencer used to be oh-so-fabulous, but over the past few years she’s been gradually reduced to nothing more than a caustic, clueless, perennially pantsuit-clad crone with a punkish hairdo and garish makeup. Simply a comical caricature of her formerly savvy, stylish and sensationally sophisticated self!
B.E is Barrett Enterprises dont think that has anything to do with who he is.
I get that, Sherlock (I mean, David….) but Ron loves to taunt his viewers much like Moriarty does the deerstalkered detective, so I would not discount that those initials are intended as a double meaning, whether as a genuine clue or merely a red herring.
Thanks for the reply Shay…and i totally agree…
You’re welcome, jimh, and might I add, I derive no pleasure from my description of Tracy……I always enjoyed her tart tongue-lashings, over-the-top eccentricities and even those tawdry ties to one inappropriate man after another, but once AJ reappeared, Ms. Quartermaine turned into such a spiteful, sorry shrew. The amusing aspect of her persona flew out the window and her default setting became mirthful malevolence, no longer light-hearted and laugh-inducing, but just plain mean.
Not sure who it is but this has got people talking. Genius writing. Never seen so much discussion before about character and loved the ending.
I am leaning towards Frank Smith…
The man has been fabulous forever…no one realized when this average guy showed up to run a disco that he would define daytime soap opera. During the Gloria Monty days he single handedly saved GH from demise then…and here we are now with this utterly masterpiece of performance on Friday and it has only gone to limits so above. I am so happy for Tony Geary that the material is finally there for his tour de force that all the current GHers can marvel at his work. But trust me way back when this average guy captivated millions…
I really think it will be Bill Eckert (which will make for a good story, once his history is explained to the newer viewers), but whoever it is, I am ready for this storyline to come to a head. I am a lonnnnng time GH fan, and I am enjoying Anthony Geary’s amazing talent, which is many faceted and shining for sure, but if AG gets the summer off, IMO, I do not want this storyline waiting until the Fall to end.
As with most storylines, this storyline will be forgotten. We won’t see an end in sight with Tony’s summer vacation. The focus will then be on Sam, Silas, and Nina. Then, we’ll have a quick wrap-up story because everyone would have forgotten what happened anyways. For example, I totally forgot that someone intentionally hit Patrick and Sabrina’s car, causing Sabrina to go into premature labor. We see Patrick and Sabrina all week, then not at all, which led me to not care and forget about that detail of the storyline. This happens a lot. Same with Sam, Silas, Nina. Also, Jordan, Shawn, TJ. Oh, and Lucy, Kevin, and Scott. It’s too bad. There’s just too many recurring characters and newbies.
I don’t think this storyline will be forgotten because even though Anthony Geary is on Summer vacation for now the story will be moving forward. As for Patrick and Sabrina’s car accident story i think that’ll be picking up steam coming up and maybe connect to other stories on the canvas.
This post has nothing to do with GH..I just finish watching Friday episode of DOOL, and its about time we give REAL applause all around to Gary Tomlin.
This man made OLTL watchable and the show won its only Emmy for Outstanding Daytime Drama when he was executive producer…The show should have won the fallowing 2 years, it was THAT good!!
Last year DOOL, after a long dry spell won Best soap, while Gary was in the writing helm.
He is legendary and deserve kudos. JUST SAYING!! 🙂
Why are you posting this in a GH thread?
Because I can David, that is why! 🙂
Believe its Jerry Jacks.
Again, would Jerry Jacks try to RAPE Kiki? That’s just so far out of character. It could be a Cassadine. But, I’m going with Anthony Zacharra.
After re-reading some recaps from the 90s, I’m beginning to think that Fluke is Damian Smith, son of Luke’s arch enemy and former mob boss Frank Smith. Damian tried to take control of ELQ, he broke up Bobbie’s marriage to Tony on a bet from Lucy and he hated Ned. Ultimately he was presumed dead in a fire and Laura went on trial for his murder. Don’t forget that whoever Fluke is, he needs to have millions of dollars to make this plan happen.
B. E> could also be another crossover from Llanview (Buchanon Enterprises).
If ABC gets the rights back to OLTL in the lawsuit.. who knows. But there was plenty of evilness left over from OLTL..
Someone correct me if Im wrong, the episode a couple weeks back when Luke and Tracy were eating Breakfast at Kelly’s. Bobbie bumped into them and then Scotty showed up teasing Luke about their stay in the asylum and Scotty showed bobby a pic of Luke in a awig from the asylum. He had blue eyes in the pic. Am I wrong?
Anyone else notice that?
After Anna made it a point to refer to Barrett Enterprises as “B.E;” I thought it was definitely Bill Eckert. I don’t remember the Eckerts much. I remember thinking they were very boring and seemed to take over Port Charles in the early 90’s? Let’s just hope it is not another ridiculous mask. I’m over this storyline, Fluke is way too creepy. I was sickened by the way that he was hitting on Olivia. It’s just gross. I’d much prefer Luke to be comical with Scott and Tracy.
Bill Eckhart is to obvious, but I never thought of Trevor Lansing. I’m going back even further, because Fluke mentioned Luke’s jazz club. I’m thinking it’s either Frank Smith, Damian or Victor Jerome. Victor was a pig!
I don’t think it’s Victor Jerome because he would be in his 70s or 80s now.Whoever it is said he has been planning this for years. So it has to be someone who has had a vendetta against Sonny for a long time.Plus it might be someone Luke knows too from his past.So it could be Damian Smith because he hated both Luke and Sonny. So in a way he gets revenge on both of them.
But, was Damian ever such a creepy rapist? I’m leaning towards Anthony Zacchara. He also had a connection to Tracy. I creepy connection to Tracy. And he HATES Sonny! And he HATES Luke!
I did consider Anthony for a second but he wanted Tracy.Whoever is pretending to be Luke doesn’t want Tracy and is just using her.So i would understand Anthony pretending to be Luke if it meant he could have Tracy but that’s not the case.Plus the impostor has said he’s been planning this for years and has been watching Luke.Whoever it is i think knows Sonny,Luke and maybe even Ric because he framed him.So it might be someone all 3 knows. So if that’s the case i’m leaning towards it been Trevor Lansing or Lorenzo Alcazar.
