General Hospital’s Giovanni Mazza Previews “There is Something Very Big Coming Up” That Fans Will Be “Very, Very, Excited For”
After all the speculation and the guessing games, it looks like we may soon learn just who General Hospital’s Gio Palmieri truly is and just who are his parents!
Since Giovanni Mazza (Gio) first appeared on GH in the role, his character was believed to be the cousin of Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer). Over his first nine months on the show, “Gio” has kind of been simmering in story. Recently, it seemed with the recasting of Emma Drake, now played by Braeden Bruner, that soon Gio and Emma may embark on a young romance.
However, GH fans want to know if we will finally get the reveal of who Gio is connected to in story. It is believed that Gio is the biological son of Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

Now in a conversation with Too Fab, Mazza teased that things are about to pop for the character, “I think a lot of fans have been anticipating something coming up.” He confirmed, “There is something very big coming up, that I think the fans will be very, very excited for. The last nine months I’ve sort of been involved in building my relationships. But now, we’re really going to explore just who, my character, Gio is.”
Giovanni shared that even those close to him are getting on the guessing game of who Gio’s biological parents are. “What’s really fun is when my family asks what I think. One of my cousins just texted me the other day. He’s like, ‘Is so-and-so your parents?’ And I’m like, ‘What do you think? I want to know what you think first,'” explains Giovanni “And then I’ll know what I could play into,” the young star added. “It sort of helps me in a way to know what the fan speculation is, to sort of play around with different relationships.”
Meanwhile, tonight in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 23rd, Mazza, who is a professional violinist, will be playing at halftime of the NBA’s L.A. Lakers vs. Boston Celtics basketball game, and says he invited some GH bigwigs to watch his performance.

Photo: ABC
Mazza shared, “I invited the casting director (Mark Teschner) and the executive producer (Frank Valentini) from the show to sort of watch me perform and enjoy the Lakers game. It’s sort of like this cool full circle moment.”
The young actor remembered his GH audition for Teschner, “When I walked into the audition room, the casting director was like, ‘Gio, you play the violin? And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And I was like, ‘Thank God they know, because it sort of sets me apart from the other actors walking in.”
So, what do you think is the big moment that is about to go down on GH that Giovanni Mazza is referring to for his character of ‘Gio’? Will we finally learn that Brook Lynn and Dante are his parents? Do you think there is another twist coming? Share your theories in the comment section. And below, check out Mazza’s talk with TooFab.
It would be interesting if he turned out to be Brook. Lyn and Cody ‘s son. Cody. Brooke &,Dante went the same camp.as kids.
I was thinking the exact same thing !!!
Great twist!! Cody needs something ‘positive’ to get him out of his slump
I never thought of that; I’ve thought he was Brook Lynn and Dante’s for quite a while now. That would be an unexpected twist, and possible, but would Cody have slept with the girl his bestie had a crush on? And then there’s Lulu. She hates Brook Lynn to her core. and would freak when/if she finds out Dante has a child with Brook Lynn. I was assuming Chase will leave Brook Lynn, which would leave the door open for a possible Dante/Brook Lynn pairingi…and a Cody/Lulu pairing. Either way, I’m glad you came up with that thought. Now at least I have a tinge of wonder about it. LOL
I was saying the same thing to my sister! That it has to be Cody the reason why… Gio, Cody and Mac they have light color eyes, Cody and Gio they both have lighter hair and so did Mac younger years. while Dante and brook-lynn black hairs and eyes…come on ppl!!! I’ve been watching this show since the 70s 63yrs. lol
Interesting theory.Cody needs a real change.im sick of his character.
Except real genetics don’t matter in fantasy land
Me too. And?
if they did that then there goes a romance for Gio and Emma because they would then be related, and didn’t we just have that with Cody and Sasha? no bueno, let him be Dante son.
Oh; good point. No more kissing cousins, lol. But if it was up to me, I would’ve kept Cody and Sasha together even though they’re cousins. They didn’t grow up together, there’s no “incest,” it’s not illegal, and they could’ve gotten genetic testing if they were worried about a possible risk to their future kids.
This is exactly what I have been thinking. They didn’t grow up together, they met in their 30s, they did nothing wrong. The show spent two years building them up and then…
Using this theory – not only would there be 3 “forgotten children” stories in one year – all 3 would be Scorpios. Even more laughable.
So true! So sick of Cody! He has become a brooding bore! Please let this guy grow up! When he slugged Drew, that was the last time I was in support of his character.
When he slugged Drew? I was disappointed in him too, I wanted t o see him beat the crap out of him, the sleeze!
Good point!
GIO IS THE BIOLOGICAL CHILD OF SONNY NOT DANTE
Oh, that would be juicy! He kind of looks like he could be one of Sonny’s boys. It would explain why Sonny has been paying for his schooling. I like it.
Maurice Benard has gone on record to say Sonny doesn’t need any more children. If anything, they will slightly age Avery this year.
LOL. No.
Ummmm. No.
Sonny son? with who? Brooklyn? wtf!!!!
OMG, Sonny is old enough to be his Grandfather, which he probably is, that’s why the financial support all these years, for his GRANDSON!, and it’s also obvious that Lois knows something, if not all the facts regarding the child her daughter gave up for adoption.
Well, congratulations to Mazza for landing the halftime performance.
As for fan excitement, he mustn’t be reading the room. There’s a large chunk of GH fans that want nothing to do with another long lost child storyline after just going through Cody and Sasha’s retcons last year. That, and the considerable impossible time lines that go along with each.
Exactly! Then again NOTHING the writers have come up with lately makes sense. Heck with the writers the show has I wouldn’t be surprised if Josslyn and John Brennan were his parents. Look at the impossible story line they threw at people with Lulu’s recovery. After being in a coma for years, she hasn’t even seen a doctor for a follow up visit. That is after she had her miraculous full body recovery.
I’m not in that “large chunk.” I think “Gil” as well as the actor is great; his acting is coming along and I think it’s great that they’re giving him a connection to a legacy family. Soaps are all about legacy familes and the different generations. The show needs younger family members of legacy families…so I’m all for it. It also pave the say to more drama between Brook Lynn and Lulu if, as expected, he’s Brook Lynn and Dante’s son. Drama between Lois and the now-in-the-character closet, Olivia. Another grandchild for Ned. I hope that’s the reveal as expected.
Edit: Gio not Gil
NOBODY is excited about anything regarding the fiddling pool boy. You can bet your soul on that.
More like disgusted, if you’re talking about a ridiculous rewrite which is going to contradict decades of back story even more than making Sasha the daughter of Robert & Holly did.
BrookLynn was born some time in the mid 1990s. By this time Sonny was well established in Port Charles, so presumably several years removed from his teenage relationship with Olivia Falconeri, which resulted in Dante’s birth. (a fact that Sonny himself would not be aware of until 2010, when he found out he had a son in the worst way possible, but that’s a whole other story, of course)
So there’s probably close to a decade in age difference between Dante & Brooklynn. No way in the blazing fires of Hell that they went to the same “summer camp”, let alone hooked up there and made a baby.
I agree, but they are trying to sell it!
Moreover, Cody was introduced to Brooklynn as if they never met. Ridiculous. Nobody cares about the Fiddler on the Q Roof. He’s nothing but a fiddling voyeur laughing at a pregnant woman falling from a hotel window, smirking about Sonny and Carly allegedly having sex in Tracy’s bed and giggling upon seeing the Drew and Willow sex tape. It’s not the actor’s fault entirely but he’s built no intrigue and he’s not strong enough of an actor to rise above the lousy writing that has been afforded to him. Nobody cares.
I agree with everything you say. I don’t even know why they casted him at all. As for age differences, the Luke and Tracy thought makes a person want to throw up in their mouth. That age difference was pretty large too. In fact a couple of Tracy’s trysts have been inconceivable. The writing is the worst. I have only been “sort of” watching for a year and the writing completely baffles me with just about every story line. I keep thinking that the writing isn’t bad that it is me. That I have missed something when I miss a day or two. Then I realize, no the writing is that bad. I think the writers are creating from bar stools just before closing time.
Anthony Geary (Luke) and Jane Elliot (Tracy) are only 4 months apart in age. There’s a 15 year age difference between Anthony Geary and Genie Francis (Laura). As for Gio, I hope he winds up being unrelated to anyone in PC. Brook Lynn was originally born in 1996, making her 12 years younger than Dante. They’ve since changed her birthdate to 1986 making that age difference inly 2 years. Still too much for summer camp. Lois didn’t even appear or meet Ned (Eddie Maine) until 1993. How did they have a child 7 years before they even met?
Right. Actually, though they’re the same age, Luke looks a lot older than Tracy. Folks might forget that Tony Geary is 15 years older than Genie Francis ( same with Emma Samms)so maybe they’re just used to seeing him paired with much younger women. It’s kind of sad some folks think Tracy is older than Luke when they’re exactly the same age.
Luke didn’t seem older than Laura because of the time period when the pairing began. Then, they tried to pair Luke with Felicia in the late 90s. That pairing was detested by most viewers despite KW being only 6 months younger than GF.
After that, the show successfully paired Luke and Tracy. Jill Phelps rarely deserves credit, but she did keep that couple despite cancelling the contracts of most actresses over 40.
Well said Harry (as always).
Alternative facts are used for this storyline!
But that’s not the fiddlin’ pool boys fault.. is it?
I like Gio way more and the shows youth way more than that cheating dirty dog Drew.
Amen Rebecca!
Every time he’s on, I have a mantra: I’m sorry you lost your home in the wildfires. Otherwise, I’d just cuss him out!
Ummmm; I’m a SOMEBODY, lol, and I’ve been assuming (how can one not with all the hints) that Gio is Brook Lynn and Dante’s son and I’m all in! As I mentioned in another comment, GH needs younger members in their legacy families. They’ve killed so many off, or sent them packing, that I’d like to see them start rebuilding these families again not with new, unrelated characters and families, but with younger generations of the legacy families. I’d love, of course, for them to bring back actual actors/characters from these families: AJ, Dillon, and for freak’s sake why isn’t Ned on more. Why don’t we see Jason in the house that he FINALLY moved back into. I’d rather see Gio part of the Quartermaine family then nuDrew.
We are on the same page Rebecca1. I think the actor and the role of Gio is a wonderful addition to the show.
So how old is Brooklyn? How old is Gio? If it has to be , he should belong to Dante and Brooklyn. Good story line when Lulu finds out.
Originally, Dante and Brook Lynn were 12 years apart in age. By aging Brook Lynn up10 years, Ned and Lois conceived her 7 years before they ever even met. I’d like to see how that works
I am. As I said before the show needs to add new generations to their legacy families especially since so many have either passed, retired or have been written off. This adds a good-looking kid to the mix and a romance for another legacy character’s younger generation, Emma.
They revised Brook Lynn’s age. She’s supposed to be 38; Dante 40, which would make sense because Dante and Sonny had Dante when they were in their teens. Brook Lynn’s birth date was revised from 1996 to 1986, I’m fine with it.
Nothing wrong with adding new generations to a legacy family in and of itself. It’s just how they do it. Like when they brought Dante on several years ago. Undercover cop investigating Sonny… turns out to be Sonny’s kid. A little awkward that they both found out this fact only after Sonny shot him, but aside from that, it was completely believable. Especially considering that the kid playing Morgan at the time seriously looked like Dante’s little brother. Practically passing for twins aside from the age difference.
But this latest trend of “long lost legacy kids” has been ridiculous, because they’re having to make complete distortions of decades old back story to pull it off. It made total sense that Sonny hooked up with Olivia Falconeri when they were teenagers, even though that was never shown on screen. But it makes zero sense that Robert and Holly had a kid in the 1990s, or that Dante & BrookLynn hooked up at “summer camp”, let alone that Sonny would have been financially providing for the kid which resulted from that hookup, when he didn’t even know Dante was his kid at the time. These moronic writers have no concept of GH’s history.
Does anyone really care who his bio parents are? Up till now he’s been more like a visitor, no really interesting part and now throwing him together with the latest “wild child”, Emma , and Sonny has been taking care of Gio financially since birth, how ironic that Dante might be his dad and Sonny never knew that he had another son, Dante!
All true points.. but he certainly is very good looking and has a lot of class and talent.
Well, the fans definitely aren’t excited about the idea of Brook Lynn and Dante as parents, so here’s hoping this means it’s not true.
Please do not make Brooklyn Gio mother!!!! Not Dante son either. Make it someone else back in Brooklyn. Fans are tired of nilly willy sex and there appears a baby. Be responsible and use protection.
LOL. Did you just start watching soaps? And it’s already been established that Brook Lynn gave birth when she was a teen, and the baby was put up for adoption. She either used protection and got pregnant anyway, or didn’t. Not relevant to the story.
I am. GH is all about giving new life to these characters and trying to add new elements to a sixty year–old show. They need to expand the legacy families with younger generations and this is a good way to achieve that.
I have a feeling this could be Patrick son with Sabrina just guessing. You know how they are always bring all the dead oh aren’t really dead back.
Sabrina lost that baby. And, she’s a character that’s best left forgotten. And, that would make Gio and Emma siblings – which is definitely not where this is headed.
Wasn’t that her baby that I vaugly remember her brother-in-law taking away after her death? Was Patrick the father , am totally mixed up, hope you can figure this out for me.
Cinderbrina had a baby when she was with Michael (another idiotic pairing) and initially believed Mikey was the daddy, but then it was reveaed she had a drunken one night stand with her ex Carrrrrllllllos. Carlos was dead by the time the baby was born, but his twin brother showed up and took the baby back to Puerto Rico with him.
The baby you mentioned was the second one Sabrina conceived (both times the actress was pregnant in real life).
The birth father was Carlos – her old mob boyfriend. Carlos had already been killed when Sabrina gave birth to Eduardo (named in honor of Edward Q). When Sabrina was murdered by Paul, Carlos’ lookalike brother came to PC to claim his nephew despite Michael wanting to raise the child.
Thank God for that, Steve. I would rather not watch Sparkle Pony’s Revenge Tour. She belongs filed away with Courtney in the GH Memoriam Folder entitled,” Gone and Forgotten Forever.”
What a folder that would be! Other inhabitants include, Dawn, Siobhan, Peter and the lady in white.
Give this talented young man a break. Plus his scenes with Jane Elliot are very entertaining.
I look forward to seeing his story unfold.
It would be interesting if he was lois & Sonny’s son..that would make an interesting story with Olivia in the mix. Olivia and Sonny had a child together and the three of them were friends. Much better than making it Brooklyn’s.
Lois & sonny’s child or had been viewed as Brenda & sonny’s child or maybe sonny’s wife who blew up in car might’ve not been dead but maybe coma gave birth to Gio & friends of Lois & sonny looked after raising of Gio like connected to then sonny & Brenda or ? Don’t want Gio to be Dante & Brooklyn don’t spoil possibilities for chase & Brooklyn to be parents. Would much rather have Sasha find out baby is Cody’s not Michael’s & they aren’t kissing cousins. Let Cody get farm & marry Sasha raise own child that would be a better twist & fit. ALso don’t like Gio with nu Emma she’s a brat since changed now. It’s just messed up storyline with past saying Brooklyn gave birth as teen & mom Lois hid all of the baby info from her.
First of all, Sasha and Cody never had sex, so no baby there. The rest you said would be good, but unless Sasha and Cody find out that the aren’t really related, it’s just a fairytale. Your last sentence, I totally agree with. Lois knows everything!
The big twist is, they are going to kill him off like everyone else. It has been a few days since they kicked a character to the curb. The Brook Lyn story line world be too contrived. Then again Lulu was in a China for 4 years and with no therapy for atrophied limbs, got up and walked out of the hospital. The writing on this show is the worst!
Just cannot warm up to the recast of Emma Drake. her personality is way too different from the original Emma to be believable. I vote – “bring back the original Emma”!!
The original Emma looks like she’s twelve. She won’t work for adult stories, so they recast. It happens. Emma is 23 and needed an actress who looked that age.
Agree that the new Emma doesn’t fit the character. She hasn’t won me over.
The actress who originated Emma actually is the right age and looks to be about 18-20. She was offered the chance to reprise this role but she elected to invest her time as a post college graduate to earn her nursing degree. This new Brooklyn is good, and she’s interesting. It’s refreshing to see someone give that spoiled brat, Carly Junior, the what for.
Right you are, Joss has an ego and sense of self that’s bigger than her head!
This is another storyline that we didn’t ask for. GH has completely lost what made it worth watching everyday, not all these retcons
There’s already too many characters somehow genetically connected to each other. Every male/female in the cast seems to be a brother/sister, a cousin and on and on to virtually everyone else in the cast. It gets ridiculous to try and figure out just exactly how all these people are related to each other.
Cody could use straighting out lol. A purpose ln GH I think brook and lulu having half brothers would be good karma for them lol
How on earth would Lulu and Brook Lynn possibly have a half brother in common? Luke and Lois? Ned and Laura? Never happened and wouldn’t have.
Giovanni is adorable and the kind of guy you want to like and root for. I got that from watching him on Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson’s show on YouTube. The writing or lack thereof for his character has done him no favors, which is why I think many people feel a certain way about Gio as a character.
So on one hand, I’m glad they’re finally giving him something to do other than being someone for other characters to vent to. I just wish it wasn’t this story. Everyone knows that they’ve beyond overdone it with people finding their long lost parents in recent years. Cody and Sasha in the past year, Willow not that long before that. Much like Sasha being Holly and Robert’s daughter, Gio potentially being Dante and Brook Lynn’s kid from a one night fling they had at summer camp when they were kids really stretches the bounds of reality.
On the other hand, it will produce some good soap drama when it comes out that Lois knew and kept it from Brook Lynn for all these years, and I’m assuming Sonny also knew, which is why he paid for Gio’s schooling and what not, which Dante is gonna be like “Hey Dad, WTF?!!”. So it’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.
I like Giovanni and want to see him do well on the show, I just wish the writing was better and less reliant on stale, worn out soap cliches. I could say that for the show as a whole, for that matter.
The timelines here are a real stretch. Unless Lois told Sonny after he found out Dante was his son that a 5 yr old Gio was Dante’s – Sonny knowing the secret and not telling Dante is implausible.
Exactly, they’re going to have to twist themselves into some pretzels to try and get these timelines to add up.
I don’t believe Sonny would withhold from Dante the fact that he had another son. Even if we accept the big stretch that Lois told Sonny about Gio at some point after he found out that Dante was his son, and told Sonny to keep it quiet.
Don’t know how old Brook Lynn is supposed to be now. She was born on the show in 1997, which would make her 27 in real years. But Amanda Setton is 39, and we know the character was SORAS’d, so let’s say Brook Lynn is 35. Gio is supposed to be 20-21. So we’re supposed to believe Brook Lynn was 14 or 15 when they had the summer camp fling, and how old would that have made Dante?
Obviously, it’s possible to have a kid when you’re that young. It’s just that they’re asking us as viewers to really stretch the bounds of reality and accept a lot that doesn’t make sense to have all of these timelines make some semblance of logical sense.
Just throwing this out there. What if this is Brenda’s son(Alec/Lucian), and that’s why Sonny has been taking care of him, due to the Brenda connection. That would certainly be HUGE.
I think Gio is a Quartermaine
It’s probably a thing with him and Emma, they are getting chummy!
As with true soap opera form nothing is ever what it seems so I believe that Brooklyn is Gio’s mother but I have serious doubts that Dante is his father. I truly believe Brooklyn thought that Dante could be Gino’s father but in soaps it’s never in black or white.. I believe Brooklyn doesn’t truly know who his Gio’s father was. Stay tune folks there more to be revealed in true soap form.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
