GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Gets A "Visit" From Robin After The Crash & The Stabbing Victim Is In Peril!

Courtesy/ABC

Courtesy/ABC

General Hospital is about to deliver a Jason-centric episode on Monday May 9th, as the soaps continue to ratch it up a notch for the big May Sweeps ratings period.

The set up comes after the police transfer van carrying Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) is involved in a serious accident which put the lives of two men in serious peril. On Friday’s episode of GH: Carlos is certain Sonny (Maurice Benard) will have him killed, and he wants Paul’s (Richard Burgi) help.  Paul says he can’t secure his release but offers to transfer him to another facility.  However, the shifty Paul, slides a paperclip across the table and then wipes his prints off his pen and puts it down as well, and then leaves.  Carlos pockets all of it.

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) are the cops responsible for the transfer after they both volunteer, and when in the van an agitated Carlos is able to get in his pocket, get out of his handcuffs, and stab … Dante!  When that happens the driver loses control of the vehicle and it flips on its side, but on the other side of the crash is Jason (Billy Miller) who was on his motorcycle lying flat out on the street.

This sets the stage for Jason to finally regain his memories! But first in a preview for Monday’s episode, a struggling Jason gets a visit from Robin (Kimberly McCullough), and as you see it is Dante on the ground who is in peril between them.  Watch the preview after the jump and then weigh-in:  Do you think Dante will survive? Are you glad GH is preparing to finally give Jason his memories back?  Comment below!

Interesting. I would like Jason to get his memories back, but not as Stone Cold, but as the original Jason Quartermaine. I am not buying Billy Miller as the Jason (sidekick to Sunny, Sam’s lover, etc.). Turns out that was Steve Burton’s character, and his alone. Of course Dante will survive … Won’t he?!

Yes, I agree–as “the original Jason Quartermaine”–don’t we have enough automatons???? LOL

Listen, by the time Jason gets his memory back he will be too old to remember it.
And good LORD! Sonny whining to Jason and later to Carly that Jason won’t kill for him anymore made me think Sonny was about to break morph intp Barbara Streisand when she sings to Neil Diamond that he doesn’t “bring me (her) flowers anymore.”
God, Sonny, you can be such a little, whiny, controlling, little bitch.
If Jason finally regains his memory I hope he will remember that and steer clear of Babs.

“God, Sonny, you can be such a little, whiny, controlling, little bitch.”

Oh, Harry—you crack me up! That’s a perfect description of Sonny when he doesn’t get exactly what he wants, exactly when he wants it—in other words, when the world doesn’t revolve around Sonny Corinthos as it should! He and Carly really are made for each other.

Too late. Billy Miller already sports the black tee and leather jacket. I think the writing’s on the wall. Too bad….

OK–
I had 3 minutes of excitement and then it fell flat..
There is no gripping plot, none.
No, on the edge suspense, just an action scene,,
Where is the intense story/plot, It’s missing.

It is all put together with no depth ..

Robin should have been more into it.. it was robotic ..
she could have cried for Jason’s loss of his life (no memory of himself) she could have offered soul felt awakenings, anything but the bad dialog she was given..

Again — anticlimactic ..

I so agree..Very anticlimactic..GH is so frustrating to watch…Robin did get bad dialog but the actress that plays her is so overrated and dull to watch.

I hope Dante dies and finally this boring self righteous character is put to rest.

These head writers need to go ASAP..GH was cartoonish with RC, but the show was always entertaining.

hi Omar..
Thing with RC..
He went in different directions–
Some– fun campy
some– hard deep drama no campy
His plots were always twist & turns surprises and shockers, the WOW moments..
Some tears some laughter .. some sadness some happy fun ..
RC always had me looking to the next day..

Now I need to stick my finger in a light socket to keep awake lol ..

With RC, I found his writing enjoyable at first but it got ridiculous. Yes, he can write great drama, but many of his stunts fell flat and the audience responded by not watching in droves.

I disagree with you about Robin but I agree that DOGnte needs to die!

Yo, Omar…100% AGREED!!!!! At this point, I find Dante to be more duller than a kitchen knife…LOL!!!!! Oh…and…as for Robin, I lost interest in Robin (character-wise and all) when she got older. Just saying……….

Peace, bro.

Robin appears as a vision. Kimberly did just fine playing the part. If you don’t like the dialog blame the writers. It starts and ends with what they put on the page. It’s not the actor’s fault if the story is flat. It’s on the writers and the EP who drew this out until nobody really cared. This story should have been over a year ago.

Beach Dreamer–you are correct, Kimberly did just fine considering she was being dreamed up by Jason. SUOO just hates Robin with the heat of a thousand irrational suns and will look for any reason to bash her whether it makes sense or not.

You got that right, Beach Dreamer–“it starts and ends with what they put on the page.” And “Amen”! 🙂

Word. Every story and most actors and actresses are flat and the usual haters blaming Robin and Kimberly. Only thing I am looking forward to is Kimberly’s return.

I agree with you, Kim did well. Sometimes though, the writer do write good dialogue but a character like Detective West hacks it into pieces!

Yeah. The legacy character and actress are so overrated. LMAO. It is the same haters spewing the same crap.

Dawn, I might be one of those haters at times but I adore Robin. I have loved her since she appeared in Robert’s penthouse telling him that she is his daughter.
I also think Kimberly is a damn fine actress who delivers when it s called for.

whoa backup there..
I never said one word about the actress…
I never said one word about her acting abilities..
I said , in reference to the writing and directing..

””Robin should have been more into it.. it was robotic ..
she could have cried for Jason’s loss of his life (no memory of himself) she could have offered soul felt awakenings, anything but the bad dialog she was given”

note; the actress was not in charge or in controll over the bad dialog given her..

“it was robotic ” Then what exactly did you mean by this Su?

hi Beach Dreamer..
smi-emotionless.. it was bad dialog, not deeply touching- robotic.

the writing was not bringing on the emotions befitting the moment..

So he remembers Robin and Jason remembers Sam, but he doesn’t remember Liz?!?! Even as Jason Morgan they had a romantic relationship. It’s just amazing how Liz took practically a whole year helping this guy in the hospital and allowed him to live with her and he professed his love for her, but he can so easily toss her aside for Sam. I wonder if they weren’t dating in real life would their characters have been paired back up so quickly. I mean Jason doesn’t give a flapjack about Liz. He moved on and didn’t even leave her a t-shirt to remember him by. I’m befuddled. I really am.

Totally agree, where was Liz? the story would of had more heart if she appeared what a slap to the character, then there was that dumb Sam and Michael interaction where he’s telling her how much Jason loves her, then the scene wher Sam tells little Danny to say hi to uncle Michael, really ? They are cousins, not uncle n nephew, she so dumb no wonder she can’t solve a case They need to suspend her p i license she got from a cereal box. Of course Carly and sonny had to appear, this really shows how brain damGe Jason really is. Hated this episode what a waste. Ps. Love the actors though just hate how it’s playing out.

Couldn’t agree more. First of all, car accidents have become a giant bore — up there with back-from-the-dead characters and long lost twins as overused, overtired soap conventions. Second, we’ve waited so long for Jason to get his memories back and decide who he is that I am beyond caring anymore. And last, please let Kimberly just retire from GH now that she has a successful directing career. Bringing her back for short stints is unfulfilling. She’s starting to feel more like a spirit or saint than an actual human being. This is a lackluster start to sweeps.

Suoo, you suck but hey! That is okay, because but so does GH, so let us call it even-Steven.
GH cannot even deliver a decent storyline anymore.
What is going on with GH?
Remember the news story of that death cat who would sit on the bed of patients in the intensive care ward of a hospital who would then subsequently die?
Here is what I wish–the death cat would sit on the bed of the following characters–Nina, Franco, Sonny, Ava, Dr O, Sabrina, Valerie, Julian, Carlos, and Morgan.
And sorry, I love Billy Miller–have loved him since he was on AMC. However, he is boring me to tears as the new Jason.

Dante survives-yawn-or was he quickly switched with lookalike Dunte-lol

except for Carlos, who cares ? Jason will never die. No such luck. Dante should get a memory return, and remember when his father put a bullet in him the exact same way he killed AJ. Sonny got away with both, so carlos should testify against paul.

Janet…Thanks for reminding. I had “lost my memory” of when a Sonny shot Dante. Between this, and Michael now overlooking AJ’s death at the hands of Sonny, this is a very forgiving family. Add in Dante’s a cop and real dad, Sonny, is a criminal… Michael gave AJ/Avery back to Sonny… and Michael got shot because of being in “dad’s” coffee warehouse…just another day in the contradictory Corinthos world.

IT IS TIME FOR JASON TO GET HIS MEMORY BACK…..LETS MOVE THIS STORY ALONG AT A MUCH FASTER PACE…..THIS ENTIRE PAUL-CARLOS-STORY HAS RUN ITS COURSE…..

Agreed. Paul and Carlos need to go & stay gone. Sabrina can also stay gone.

@Ces….I fear your (and my) latter wish is in vain. Wanna bet Sabs makes it back to Port Charles just in the nick of time to take over the NB yet again??? (Though I’m still hoping against hope such will not be the case!)

Shay, ugh, I hadn’t thought about that but you’re right! She’ll probably show up in a mask like Robin did. GH needs to realize that Michael & Sabrina aren’t working.

Hah, “Ugh!” is right, Ces! I simply don’t get the whole Mikey and Sabs thing….it was merely an odd coupling of convenience that never worked, and now that she’s been “out of sight, out of mind”—except for the obstinate showrunners, it would seem….—for these past few glorious months, I cannot see the sense in bringing her back (once again, might I add….) at all! GH should finally allow sleeping dogs to lie and keep the mob moll mother and her gangster’s child in PR for good…..talk about a character that has more than run her course! Let’s have this NB be concerned with its original intent, and heroine, Robin!!! No more showcases for Sabs!

So let me get this straight– Jason lost his memories when he was run over by a car, now he will get his memories back by being hit by another car– Boy I bet if Carly knew that she would have slam her car into him a long time ago- LOL

i want someone slam a car into Skangster Carly and her bitch Sonny and both loose their memories waking up acting like Ozzie and Harriet…or the Cleavers…lol

Yeah and Michael as Wally and Morgan as the Beav! Oh, and Franco as Eddie Haskell!

🙂

And Jason was told the truth about his identity after Carly’s car was hit by Kiki driving Franco’s car. It seems all stories begin and end with actors being placed in cars. 🙂

Mary, I know we are supposed to suspend some disbelief when watching this show, but the Jason and cars/memory loss/gain association is a little beyond ridiculous. He initially lost his memory in accident with AJ, then lost it again and gained back, later had car accident with Carly, then presumed dead, but lost memory again when run over, then learned identity in another car accident with Carly, now gained memory because he is hit again by car (probably forget more). Furthermore, he’s still alive after being in so many accidents/hit by cars which makes him closer to Jason Vorhees than Jason Quartermaine.

Supports my point above of how ridiculous the car accident has become. Thank you!

I honestly forgot how many times Jason has been whacked in the head. Honestly, he like Wiley E Coyote with an anvil dropped from the sky striking his cranium.

It’s beyond ridiculous. And if we’ve learned anything recently from, say NFL concussion related coverage, it’s that even one or two injuries is enough for a person to be left severely diminished.

Maybe he can gain special powers of clairvoyance and see the purpose of getting whacked in the head every fourteen months.

Wish I cared, but I haven’t liked Jason since he went back to Sam; that’s bored me to tears and I FF through all their scenes. Somehow, to me, BM’s portrayal of Jason seems to have changed since his earlier days on the show. I don’t mean just because of Jason evolving but rather the way he delivers his lines. I think he mumbles too much. Perhaps if they put him back with Liz he could speak up. My hearing aid is at it’s highest setting, :0)

If this is the means for Jason getting his memory back, I agree with those who would like it to be as Jason Q, not Jason M. I’ve never seen that side of him, so it would be more interesting for me to see where that character might have gone had he not been in the accident so many years ago.

What I do care about is Dante. I hope he doesn’t die. As yawn-worthy as some of the “reconciliation” scenes with Lulu have been, I can’t remember another story like this being honestly played out on a soap in decades. Usually it’s two scenes and the characters are back in bed. The writer’s have rushed some aspects of this, but I think they sense the boredom some fans are feeling. My thought is that this story line offers some hope to those fans who are in the middle of a separation and sends a message that people can work through their problems instead of always throwing in the towel at the first sign of trouble. For that reason, I’ve liked this story.

Let Carlos run to the border with Sabrina and lets move on! This whole Duke revenge story is getting as annoying as the Fluke story! Why the hell does Michael even care about her anyway? He is rich and handsome, come on Michael grow up or wake up!

I like Lulu. I dont like Dante and Lulu. Kill him off and lets move on. Lulu needs to be with a dangerous fun guy.

Billy Miller was born to play Billy Abbott, not Jason. IF he is Jason Q after this accident, he has a chance. Anything else will suck. We have already invested enough time into this story and Billy’s mumbling!

I would like to see Lulu paired with Jason Q-Luson….Dante can have Sam-Sante-lol

Sam has had NONE… nothing… aside from “Steve Burton” Jason

she has had “NO Success” with any oher man

does this make them…supercouple… Ok…. I’ll give them that

I rest my case… that GH continues to prop.. Sam w/Jason
I rest my case… that GH continues to prop… Carly and Sonny
I rest my case… that GH continues to prop… Alexis and Julian

bland, bore, dull, painful… and cringe

I don’t know what Disney / ABC / and GH are thinking

I love the rest of the cast

go figure

YOU ARE SO RIGHT….I FEEL SORRY FOR BILLY MILLER PLAYING THIS LAME PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOVE ON FROM THESE STORIES….

How much is he wishing he were back on Y&R right now? Why did he leave anyway?

Or Sam and Dante=Damte-lol

Are we still sleep walking and calling it acting/? Watch Bates Motel the kid who plays Norman will show you what real acting is his version of split personality is so off the charts. Fantastic. and yes I still love Daytime but they are making it tough.

Hi..Can Someone please answer this,I jus want to know : If the van isnt actually on top of Dante as you can see in the scene(an it was said by everyone who appeared ,you dont want to smash dante), Why didn’t Jason jus pull him from underneath it?…Why the need to prompt the van up,if the tires arent flat etc? An one last thing..I do hate that it takes forever to get to the point sometimes..It jus drags on!!!,Jus some scenes DONT ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE..REALISTICALLY! Thanks

I liked this episode…There was Robin, Carly, Helena, Sam, Sonny “showing up” in his mind to help put the memory pieces back together. Great to see them all in their apparition roles (sorta like the ghosts in Dicken’s ‘Christmas Carol.”)…especially Helena. Thought the one-on-ones were really well done. Thinking Jason’s going to be a mix of some old/new/to be determined. Just hope he really keeps an arms length from Sonny’s business.

the part that really bugged me and lost me…. WRITERS FAULT

is when he’s fighting the mind control… w/Helena

and per “her orders”

up and readies to leave…

he should have… it was just so lame to watch

who lulled him back… Sam…. Michael… Carly… Sonny

argh! this is done n over

OMG, this episode was insufferably dull! I had to tune out halfway through because it was putting me to sleep. I hope that Dante survives (I kinda like him despite who he had the misfortune to be fathered by), but I couldn’t care less about Jason and/or Jasam and their big, scary love (YAWN). I have not been very impressed with Passanante and Altman’s writing up until now and today’s show did absolutely nothing to change my mind.

Totally agree!

Todays show was really stretched out, waste of a hour. Then I see Carlos for next show hiding in the bushes and died laughing.

There was a show about nothing and it was called “Seinfeld” and it was great! Todays show with Jason was about nothing and sucked!

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.

The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.

When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Photo: ABC

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.

When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

Photo: ABC

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

Photo: ABC

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Photo: ABC

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Photo: ABC

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.

Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.

Cameron Mathison Previews New Game Show ‘Beat The Bridge’ (Promo)

As previously reported, Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital) will be seen doing double duty this summer when he premieres in June as the host of Game Show Network’s Beat The Bridge.

Now, while Cameron will be the host with the most, that doesn’t mean he will stop playing GH’s Drew.  In fact, Mathison taped the game show in 2023, so it will now air for the first time in 2024.

Taking to his Instagram this week, Cameron shared his enthusiasm and some new hosting snaps, sharing, “Our newest game show host reporting for duty😎 Head over to the Game Show Network YouTube channel for your first look at the show and don’t miss Beat The Bridge premiering this June! I can’t wait for you guys to see this!”

Photo: GSN

In Beat The Bridge, an enormous interactive bridge dares players to cross by stepping on the right answers to challenging trivia questions. As they play, each steps forward and puts money in their team’s bank, with bonus money for each successful crossing. Here’s the catch: the team gets to keep the money only if it can “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across before time expires.

Meanwhile, on GH, Drew and Nina (Cynthia Watros) recently had hate-sex. Do you think its a one-time deal? Where will Drew’s story take him next under new head writers, Patrick Mulcahey and Elizabeth Korte? Stay tuned.

Now below, check out the first promo for Beat The Bridge from the Game Show Network with you host, Cameron Mathison.  Then, let us know, will you be checking out the game this summer? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina Confronts Ava for Sabotaging Her Relationship With Sonny and Signs the Divorce Papers

Looks like Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) are back to be each other’s sworn enemy number one. By the end of the Monday, April 22nd episode of General Hospital, the women know where they stand with each other after Nina goes in on Ava accusing her of wanting Sonny (Maurice Benard) all to herself, while her marriage has been on the rocks.

In story, at Nina’s office, Ava shows up to see Nina and says she is sorry about what happened with Sonny and that he reacted the way he did, acknowledging that is was over the top, even for Sonny. Ava says she’ll smooth things over, but Nina says she now understands how manipulative and transparent Ava really is.

Given their horrible history, Nina goes in on Ava and how she should never have trusted her. Nina wants to know how long has Ava had this agenda dating all the way back to telling Nina to turn Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Ava says she never told her do to that, but Nina wants to know how long Ava has been playing her for a fool.

Courtesy/ABC

Ava says she moved in with Sonny to keep Avery safe and she wants to be on good terms with Avery’s father, Sonny. Nina thinks she likes being in Sonny’s inner circle. Ava tells Nina if she goes to him about her advising Nina to call the SEC on Carly and Drew, it won’t work.  Sonny still considers Nina a traitor and he will think she’s lying because she’s so desperate to win him back. Ava says if Nina would stop blaming everyone else that maybe Sonny would respect her.  Nina says “like he does you?” Ava says Sonny not only respects her, but he also counts on her.

From there, Ava launches into why she and Sonny understand each other, after all, Sonny is a powerful, turbulent, and sometimes violent man. She goes so far to say if Nina wanted someone to just sit by the fire with and play with their grandchildren, she’s got the wrong guy.  Ava then talks about Mike from Nixon Falls (Sonny with amnesia) and how Sonny hid the darkest parts of himself from Nina back then, whereas with Ava they are the same similar creatures, so he doesn’t have to hide anything.

Courtesy/ABC

Nina wants to know just what Ava wants with Sonny? What is her end game? Ava responds that they understand each other, in ways she can’t with Sonny. Nina tells Ava she can go ahead and have it all and signs Sonny’s divorce papers. Ava walks out with the documents, while Nina in tears at her desk, takes off her wedding rings and has her assistant come in so she can messenger the rings back to Sonny’s address.

The episode and these scenes featured great performances by Cynthia Watros and Maura West. You can check some of the scenes below.

Now, let us know, what is Ava’s next move? Is she going to become Mrs. Sonny Corinthos? Do you like Ava and Nina as enemies? Comment below.
