GH’s Laura Wright Previews How Carly Gets Clued-In to Sonny’s Behavior: “All the Questions That Anybody Would Have, We Hit on Them”
This week on General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright) seems to be close to figuring out what is going on with her ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or is she? In the latest promo for the ABC daytime drama series, looks like Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) have a plan to bring Sonny down … eliminate Jason (Steve Burton) and make it look like Sonny is responsible.
Meanwhile, Carly gets an earful from Nina (Cynthia Watros) that Ava (Maura West) had a lot to do with getting Nina to sell her portion of the hotel back to Jason, her interest is piqued.
According to Laura Wright during her chat with Soap Opera Digest, Carly has a growing concern over Sonny’s current roomie, Ava Jerome, and the mobster’s paranoid and irrational behavior recently.

Wright shares about Carly, “She doesn’t trust Ava for a moment.” Then in a great teasers, Laura reveals “All the questions that anybody would have, we hit on them. I’m excited.”
So, will Carly figure out just what Ava is up to? Will she learn that Sonny has been fed the wrong pills that are not controlling his bipolar disorder thanks to Valentin? Stay tuned.
Check out this week’s promo for GH and then let us know, what do you think Ava is up to exactly? Is she in cahoots with Valentin or operating separately? Will Jason and Sonny be led down a path where the two try to eliminate each other? Share your theories in the comment section below.
Ava is going to regret not coming forward and telling Sonny that his drugs have been tampered with, because she will naturally be the prime suspect to everybody else. She has the history of doing the same thing to Morgan, she obviously has the opportunity, living in Sonny’s penthouse. Even if she produces the lab report, Carly still might not believe her, given the history.
And even though the audience knows Ava didn’t mess with Sonny’s meds, there’s still a very real question about how she was manipulating Sonny even before she knew his meds were messed up – encouraging his paranoia and distrust of Carly, Jason, and Michael, while at the same time encouraging Nina to hold on to her joke of a so-called “marriage”. Which Nina did… until she heard Sonny listing her name with all the other “traitors” who he thinks have turned on him. Though it’s actually true in that case. Nina did betray him… but that goes all the way back to Tricky Dick Nixon Falls.
Now that Jason has been talking to Ana about Val the Bastard’s involvement with Pikeman, maybe Jason will be the one to figure out what’s really going on wiith Sonny, and who’s to blame for it.
The writing has been deplorable.
The PCPD is like the keystone cops so I don’t get how they’ll protect Dex from Sonny’s wrath.
Right? LOL—it is what it is—But, not to change the subject….I think Dex’s story is yet to be told. I had said way back when that Dex may be a Jason-offspring? Now, it looks like it could be true, considering Jason’s return. Maybe??
Given the “warm reception” Dex got from the other cops at Chase’s bachelor party I would say Dex is more likely to die from “friendly fire” than from Sonny’s wrath.
Good point.
Well, Jason promised to do just that, so hope he’ll be able to stay ahead of Sonny especially since he’s not operating on all cylinders.
The Carly propping has reached epic proportions. The Carly over-saturation is killing GH. I fast forward through all of her scenes. And that bright blue bamboo, bottom sheet she’s been wearing is doing her NOOO favors.
Yes, that wardrobe malfunction is so very awful and distracting!
Right! I’ve got Slip Covers that fit better than that atrocity.

Next week on General Hospital, video spoilers for the Monday, June 15th episode share that after Tracy (Jane Elliot) was arrested by Chase (Josh Swickard) for “pushing” Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) in the waters surrounding the Quartermaine boathouse, Michael (Rory Gibson) gets wind up of it and has confrontation with his ex.
Michael lowers the boom on Willow and warns her that Tracy isn’t someone she wants to go up against, which he thinks she would know by now. But, what was Willow’s plan? Hope that Chase would come to her defense, which he did? Speaking of Chase, he confronts ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor) about how she cannot be fair and impartial when comes to Willow, while Justine has had it with Chase’s consistently defending her.
Meanwhile, Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) concerns about her daughter are mounting. She is also worried about the whereabouts of Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and asks “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) if he knows where his mother is? What will he say?

Kate Mansi Wraps On-Screen Run as ‘General Hospital’s’ Kristina Corinthos-Davis
The Friday, June 12 episode of General Hospital marked the last for Daytime Emmy winner, Kate Mansi as Kristina Corinthos-Davis. As previously reported, the character was accepted to medical school at UCLA in California, making the end of the run for Mansi who played Kristina for three years.
The decision to depart GH was all Mansi’s decision and as also previously reported, GH executive producer Frank Valentini had left the door open for a return down the line and is currently not planning on recasting the part.
In story, in her final episode, having already said goodbye on Thursday’s show to her parents, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Kristina meets up with her siblings, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Michael (Rory Gibson). The three have a chat at the Metro Court Gardens.

SIBLING ADVICE
Before she leaves Port Charles, Kristina tells her brother and sister, she wants them to be there for each other, while each is managing their personal relationships: Molly with Cody (Josh Kelly) and Michael with Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Kristina thanked them for taking her to the airport and urged them to lean on each other while she was gone.
In her last scene, Kristina tells Molly and Michael right before they head for her flight, “I want each of you to be the person the other can call. OK? To show up for each other, no questions asked. Because that’s what you’ve been for me.”
KATE’S NEXT MOVE
Speaking with TV Insider, Mansi shared what she is up to next which has included accompanying her husband, Matt McInnis to Europe. Kate explained she had made the decision a few months back to exit GH. “I knew my contract was up in April and I wanted to give them the proper notice so that they could plan their future storytelling.” Kate added, “Given that my husband is working in Europe predominantly and I’ll be traveling so much, that’s what this next chapter of my life will be.”
Kate expressed that the news of her exit was hard to share with people, because she would feel sad when talking about it. Ultimately, the first to know were Nancy Lee Grahn, Kristen Vaganos, and Rory Gibson. She chose not to tell Maurice Benard, because she was so close to him in real-life, until they filmed their last episode together which aired yesterday.
There’s more! Kate gave a final tease that she has project in the works sharing, “I’m excited to have booked a short-term project in the fall that works within my schedule.” As to a future return to GH, Mansi doesn’t rule it out, “It’s Port Charles. Anything is possible.”
So, what did you think of Kate’s final scenes as Kristina with Sonny, Alexis, Molly and Michael? Do you hope Kate come back in a few years time? Weigh-in via the comment section. In case you missed it, you can catch the scenes where Kristina tells her parents she is leaving Port Charles below.
