GENERAL HOSPITAL: Magic Milo and The Magic Wands Leave The Nurses Ball Crowd Breathless!

Courtesy/ABC
In the second episode of the 2014 GH Nurses Ball, the men brought down the house with a little dance, err strip, ditty to AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” from Magic Milo and the Magic Wands!
In the entertaining and sexy choreographed strip tease were: Ryan Paevey (Nathan), Ryan Carnes, (Lucas) Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix), Tequan Richmond (T.J.), Chad Duell (Michael) and Drew Cheetwood (Milo)!
While the men were showing it off, the best line of the episode was delivered by Brad (Parry Shen) who while the back of the ball standing their with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) utters, “I can’t believe I lost both of them” after watching Lucas and Felix strip, to which Britt replies, “Yeah, you’re an idiot!”
Watch the video of Magic Milo and the Magic Wands performance after the jump! Then, let us know, who do you think is the hottest guy from Port Charles in the rousing routine?
Where has Milo been? A missing character returns. this was fun!
Characters return after missing for weeks and months shouldnt come as a suprise on this show…well, maybe if the do return!!!…lol…now where is Leslie, Alice, and Monica…Monica shouldve been at the ball?
at least, Alice, should come out of hiding… seeing as she’s no longer a suspect in the “connie” murder
it would be a hoot to see her hoopla’ing it up at the ball… just dance and give us your all dear sweet TALL Alice
I wish Mylo could act more…. body aside… and HE’s SOMEthing
he has so much character in his face that you just want to reach out and touch him… affecting
I missed Monica, too, but forgive GH for the absence. My thought was that’s she’s off-screen, still in mourning. The stuff off-screen is frequently better than what’s seen on the show.
I would hope she’s still in mourning…
But where is Patrick…Morgan (guess he’s still a tad pissed…).
It is SO sad. Valentino fired Leslie Charles on but ABC stepped in and kiboshed that. They insisted she at least be used recurring.
Imo…this years Nurses Ball was better than last years…i know some, and i understand why, thought Dr.O shouldn’t be singing at the ball after she shot Liz but then she wouldnt be our crazy mean Dr.O…lol…i do wish theyd make her a less violent villian…she can plot and scheme without the physical violence…she still had the best act on the show while Luke make me puke had the worse…even if it was meant to be that way…lol
it’s the nuGH on the horizon…. be that as it may… and, KG’ Dr. O is a part of that
she now has two children… a sister… 2 boyfriends Victor/Faison
rules with an iron fist
I’m certainly hoping for more emotional tugs ala mothering Britt and Nathan
unfortunately, having that grandchild… Ben… now MIA… as he belongs to Lulu and Dante
would have layered and elevated any and all scenes with Britt… as this would have given Britt… an insight to HER mother
and see her mother rectify, if not… mean something
I hope that the writers delve in to heart tugging scenes with both her children
Alas, the lovely Liesl (and her extended family) are the only great additions to the “nuGH” as you so call it, Patrick! Kathleen Gati is quite reminiscent of soap opera dames of yore….she can glam it up as well as the next woman and yet, get down and dirty when necessary, all with equal aplomb! Her vocal virtuosity was the highlight of an otherwise bland (nurses’) ball….she quite literally (and figuratively) “stole” the show! As Dr. O., KG has that incandescent star quality that just keeps one wanting more!!!! As long as she remains in the Port Charles’ hemisphere, I am reluctant to leave, despite my obvious disgust with the remainder of the show…..she is simply the savior of the “new guard.”
ok-
I’m young… and this is 2014 .. I loved it !!
Those guys did a great job to entertain and make me smile BRAVO!
GH has the best soap hunks!!
Where I come from that was not stripping… no one got naked..
They were -strutting- their stuff and having fun doing it!!
RC and FV went way out to give us fans a fun time!
Staying in budget must have been a huge challenge..
The sets, lighting, sound, all the many dance extras, the band/musicians, the smoke, and the wardrobe etc.
I had a good time watching Tony/Luke sing, I was surprised..
I was surprised by ”Ned” he is a great singer, I didn’t know..
It was awesome to see my soap stars show their other talents..
Their dancing and singing has been hidden and I loved watching them preform!!
I was happy and smiling while watching, and that is what having FUN will do to you! lol
It was well done .. it was fun .. it was entertaining .. 🙂 A great production!
Sooooo looking forward to more !!
Ok…im old and its 2014…and i loved it too…lol
LOL
AWAESOME!! 🙂
“…I was happy and smiling while watching, and that is what having FUN will do to you! lol”
Amen!
30 + years experience… will do to you
I love this
and it bespeaks… intellect
all other genres… come and go so fast… prime time, movies, music… even a good book… so therein lies our richness
daytime
i’ll grandstand, soapbox… for and with
Why was Morgan not one of the Magic Wands? Or Julian too?
Nathan is gorgeous but Lucas was the best “dancer”‘ HOT!!!
Hahah…Yes, I agree. “Lucas” really worked it! LOL…
why couldn’t Morgan show his wand?
LOL
Yikes !
Yum !
where and when
Its in rehab because of Ava…lol
Morgan should have definitely been up there! He’s so cute.
I liked it and i’m sure the actors had fun doing it too.
Both Ryan’s, Carnes and Peavey make it worth watching a second time.
It was fine – last year. But that’s ReRon for you, always more than eager to give you whatever HE enjoys. And always, always, willing to find his own jokes and likes just the BEST.
The Nurse’s Ball was pretty awful, and even a bunch of out-of-step not-so-pretty boys couldn’t save it.
It was better, though, than having Anthony Geary sing.
LOL, boes! Well said…last year’s marquis entertainment, namely Jack Wagner and Rick Springfield were far better than this year’s selections. Of course, we also had to put up with a huge dose of Richard Simmons and the insufferable “Sobby Show,” so all things considered, we probably lucked out with the past few days of a not bad Ronn Moss and the incomparable Miss Kathleen Gati….who really sparkled in two decidedly different numbers. Could definitely have done without the kiddie theater, tacky dance revues of both sexes and Lynn Herring histrionics though….particularly the bit with the underwear…we’ve all seen it before….too many times, in fact, so honey, please put it away once and for all. Actually the best part of the tiresome Lucy saga was when Doc told her to ‘Go to…..” That was worth waiting for….my sentiments exactly!!!! However, the inside snipes aimed at Blackie and Frisco were just deplorable….if God forbid we must have another NB next year, please for the love of all things holy, Ron, put aside the immature inside snarks, make amends, and bring back the acts that we the fans love to see….that means being nice to Jack Wagner, Rick Springfield AND John Stamos!!!! It’s the adult thing to do!
GREAT second day. Definitely a step up from last year’s Richard Simmons-fest and, from what I remember, better than most of the NBs I’ve seen. Thought Ned’s number was really interesting and well sung and of course the Milo stuff was good (but wish they’d get him in a real storyline… whatever happened to Lucy’s health spa?)
Oh gawd, Richard Simmons needed to stay in the 70s where he belonged. Thank god there wasn’t a return visit!
Fridays Ep : Luke’s Hour
“I am My Own Special Creation”
“I deal My Own Deck”
The drama has ensued : That STEALy look between Luke and Ned chilled
I tip my hat to Anthony Geary’ Luke… Fridays Ep leaves you WONDERing… what is on the horizon for Tracy…. Tracy and Luke
more than any thing….. I think, GH’ FANS… want for, Tracy… to love, be loved, and conquer…. she’s the last, remaining Quartermaine… on the show any way….
MAN! Wally Kurth… and any one else who work with, along side, her… must be in marvel mode… and hope she carries you along… Wally Kurth does HIS stuff… so well… it’s just amazing how these two (mother/son) reel. heart murmer
comedic : Brad… talking to himself…. “what ?!?!” referring to Felix and Lucas… “They’re performing again! ? when did they turn in to Siegfred and Roy”
———-
OOH LA LA LA :
MAGIC Mylo : he’s got it… that bod along with his face… makes you miss him… makes you wish he could ACT.
doesn’t Britt clean up SO Nicely…
Love Brad… Yeow! in that Tux… smarted some tho… when Lucas told Him… ie: with Felix : “We were both looking for the wrong guy”
The BALL is on
I like that they (GH) are straggling along… the actors
Maxie shows up
Brad and Britt showed up… on Fridays Ep
Nicholas and Spene are on their way
I do agree tho… where is Leslie, Monica and Alice
I think it was a good idea to not feature Patrick and Sabrina this year… course these two could show
Entertaining
Would love to see Alice. She is very funny. I agree, where is Monica?
Well at least when they got down the their drawers the message was nurses ball and not Yoplait. LOL.
Loved it!
” I am what I am”
clever enough Idea… and Anthony Geary and/or Luke pulled it off
this self-parody if you will… was dealt
it certainly left one wondering…. what is about to happen
wasn’t over the top and was smarmy enough
entice
I’ll go there
one of the reasons I like GH is because they always have the best eye candy and the mens dance was definitely sweet to watch!
Yes…and oh so appropriate to a ball raising money for a sexually transmitted disease.
Excellent point there, Johnny!!!!
Thank you for agreeing!
You’re welcome, Johnny! For the record, I thought MANY of the performances were in questionable taste….not just the “male revue.” They seemed so unnecessary in light of the professional abilities available via someone like Kathleen Gati! Her effervescent opening and poignant closing acts were incomparable in terms of true talent….a few other individuals also gave very credible contributions, but all in all, this was not a banner year for the NB!
Loved it last year, love what they’ve done so far this year! It was great seeing Wally Kurth on stage again, doing one of my favorite Meat Loaf songs. Tony Geary was great as well. The Nurses Ball is always harmless fun. If you can’t enjoy it for what it is, then I feel sorry for you.
Loved Eddie Maine! I miss Eddie/Ned! Love Wally Kurth!
This is just disgusting. First of all…presenting a teenager TJ in doing this. As well…featuring two promiscuous gay men in stripping…does ANYONE remember that this is a benefit for AIDS and HIV????????
They didn’t have unprotected sex on stage, did they? And what’s all this about “promiscuous”? I think you need to learn a LOT more about HIV transmission, and even more about judging people.
It was lame, not disgusting or dangerous.
Unless i missed something since Felix has been on the show he has only had a crush on Milo which went nowhere and was in a relationship with Brad but i don’t think they ever had sex.As for Lucas since he’s been back in town he’s only been with Brad and yeah it may have began as a one night stand but i don’t think that makes Lucas promiscuous.
Maybe its just me but I consider sodomy on the first date pretty promiscuous. And while maybe not promiscuous… Felix has hit on several male patients and even refused to help a patient for some stupid reason.
I’m wondering if you would have the same problem if Lucas and Brad were two women and not two men that had sex.Plus straight people have had one night stands on soaps. So i have no problem with gay characters have one night stands too.GH is treating their gay characters like any other character on the show and i like it.
Such hotties!!!
I absoutely loved Dr. Obrecht’s surprise performance! I watched it twice! The actress should be put on contract! I’m really excited that John Stamos will be performing as Blackie Parish?! Eddie Maine was amazing! For once, Kiki did not annoy me with her performance. Her music performance hasn’t changed my mind, though-the actress can not carry an interesting or real storyline. I literally cringe when she is on-air. Magic Milo was awesome! Love the Nurse’s Ball!
Dr.O had the best performance so far…watched it several times myself…Kiki did ok on stage but i wish they call her Lauren and take acting lessons…
I agree, Jim H. Maybe if they referred to Kiki as Lauren, I would be able to tolerate her a tiny bit. Jury is still out on that one. Definitely needs acting lessons- I wish they would just send her off somewhere. The character brings nothing to Port Charles. She’s a filler in storylines. Would much rather see more Quartermaines. Michael and she have no on-air chemistry.
All very hot! And i want to know who the other two fill in men were!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
