GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Blasts Brad As The Truth About Wiley Comes Out
FINALLY! On Wednesday’s episode of General Hospital, Lucas (Ryan Carnes) memory is jogged just enough that he clearly remembers Brad’s (Parry Shen) shocking words before their car crash; where Brad confessed that Wiley was Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Michael’s (Chad Duell) biological son.
At the Corinthos home, Lucas stands up and announces to Michael that Wiley is actually his believed to be dead son, Jonah. Carly’s (Laura Wright) mouth drops and then she takes over getting to the root of the truth of the baby switch.
Brad is cornered and left with no choice but to fess up. He explains how Wiley died when he was no longer breathing, and how he was driving with him, when he ended up on the route where Nelle left Michael to die in the car he was driving (Michael recalls this bit of Intel in a flashback).
Then, Brad explains how Nelle appeared with her newborn baby and claimed the whole thing was engineered by Nelle … and how he was so upset and panicked, that he went along with her plan.
Michael lets Brad have it for all of his lies and machinations, and the pain it has inflicted on so many people for over a year and half. How on earth could he do that? Carly also lays into him.
Meanwhile, Sasha (Sofia Matteson) has urgently called Chase (Josh Swickard), who leaves “Wiley” and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) behind, and heads to the Corinthos’ where he hears the whole sad truth about the baby switch.
With Chase gone, Nelle goes looking for “Wiley” who is with Willow, and the two get into a major throwdown catfight. Nelle comes out the victor and goes to get her baby ready to leave town with her son.
So, what did you think of how the truth finally came out? What did you think of Michael’s tirade on Brad? What do you think will happen next? Comment below.
Mommy Nelle from Hell verses Wimpy Weepy Willow who could be knocked over with a pillow…silly Willy Willow…and come on Brad…make it your show..tell what you know…yes, Brad tell Lucas it was his dad who knew too…and if Pukas Lucas gets mad at his dad well, Brad it was still the right thing to do!!-lol
Brad only got a small part of what he deserves. He needs to be arrested!
He sure does!
Why should Brad be arrested when Sonny and Jason are out committing crime on the daily…?
Alan
Because one thing has nothing to do with the other. Second of all, I would like to know what Brad’s excuse means when he kept saying that he was grieving and that’s how Nelle got to him.! Grieving about what? An adopted baby he had for less than an hour. He’s such an ass. How could any mother such as Willow give a child to someone like him?
You can talk about Sonny all you want but he would never have done to one of his kids what Julian has done to Lucas, and for what? Not love that’s for sure but because of his guilt for being such s lousy father.
No, Sonny would just steal AJ’s son from him with Carly’s blessing and then be outraged years later when it happens to his “son.”
As for Brad grieving “an adopted baby he had less than an hour”…wow, that’s harsh. It’s not like Brad lost a pair of shoes or his new i-phone — that was a living being that he and Lucas had waited for to build their family and who they had hopes and dreams for. Every parent talks about the overwhelming love they felt the first time they saw/held their child (and being adopted doesn’t make that child or that love lesser) so why wouldn’t Brad feel the devastation of such a loss?
This is not about Sonny and Jason. This is about the kidnapping of a child by Brad.
Alan – State of New York -Penal Code Section 135.20. Kidnapping in the second degree is a class B felony punishable by a mandatory sentence of 5 to 25 years in prison
I think it’s hypocritical to say Brad should be the one person to pay for his actions on a show that seems to thrive on people NEVER paying for their crimes: Laura, Alexis, Ava, Franco, Sonny, and Jason have all killed people. Carly shot Tony Jones, withheld evidence that Sonny killed AJ, and stole another woman’s identity before coming to Port Charles. Sam committed multiple crimes before and after arriving in Port Charles. Sonny and Jason have committed untold crimes as “coffee importers.” Maxie stole drugs from the hospital for Lucky when he was addicted. Valentin threw Ava over the parapet. Nina induced labor and stole Ava’s baby. And the list goes on and on…I
Yeah but kidnapping your husband’s nephew isn’t merely a crime, it’s a really DUMB crime.
Once again, under New York State Law the only issue is Brad kidnapping a baby.
Highly disappointing.
After all this time…Whose decision was it to have Carly be the main focus of this episode? Lucas and Michael are the most impacted. Bobbie has both her children involved. Heck, everyone in the room, except Julian could all go to town on Brad.
Highlights of the episode:
– The Nelle – Willow fight.
– The reveal that Taggert is Trina’s dad. Just hope that they don’t pull a Burt Ramsey on Taggert. Long time viewers know what I mean.
I don’t think they’re going to “Burt Ramsey” Taggart, now that they made Trina his kid.
What seems inevitable however, is that Taggart is going to have to work with Sonny & Jason to bring down Cyrus the Virus. And you know he’s really gonna HATE that. Won’t be so hard for Jordan… she used to work for Sonny already.
Yep…overdone with Snarly Carly…now if Julian could be found out knowing and tampered with the car that injured his own son!!!-bet Snarly Carly will be in that too
You know, Steve, it was a big mistake for the characters to keep repeating how long Brad had been lying to them. “Over a year”, “18 months you knew…” All this did was remind us how llllooonnggg this oversudsed plot has been creaking along. And, as usual, it’s resolved in 24 hours. There should have been a full episode devoted to the reveal with everyone having a chance to shine. Instead, Sheriff Carly, the Great Rationalizer, castrates the entire room and starts forcing Brad to “enumerate” what happened step by step, like a deranged Algebra teacher. Nelle/Chloe and Willow/Katelyn were fabulous and having both women essentially fighting for their child was very well done. What I DIDN’T need were the interruptions of Sonny & Jason in another inane mob plot and this ridiculous Jordan-driven mystery. Trina & Cameron were cute together, but belonged in a different episode.
What Soaphound and Allen said. Narly caterwauling in the center of the group of characters was annoying as hell. Carly barely knows her half-step brothers (she ruined Lucas’s adoptive father Tony’s life) and yet she is goes on and on as if SHE were Nelle’s intended victim? I need a break from Narly.
Lol….are you new?? Carly, Jason, and Sonny ultimately become the focal point of everything…even stories they have NOTHING to do with. The hypocrisy of Carly never amazes to floor me. I cant believe that this many writing regimes have been able to keep this character such a non self aware hypocrite! Michael had merry go round fathers before Carly finally settled on Sonny as his “father”. First she claimed the father was Tony…then Jason….then Sonny…meanwhile his REAL father was AJ. Carly didn’t like him so she played little games like “Let’s douse AJ in alcohol and make him fall off the wagon!” or “Sonny, can we hang AJ on a meat hook today and force him to sign over parental rights??” Carly and Sonny also take glee and joy in keeping Ava away from her daughter Avery. They have spent a lifetime keeping children from their rightful parents!! So who the hell is Carly to throw shade at anyone?? And Bobbie did something with Lucas when he was a baby…she lied about his true parentage so she could keep him as her adopted child. Listening to her sanctimonious spewing was quite grating too!! The self righteous Sonny and Carly are the two reasons I cant fully invest in this show! Because these two slimeballs always come out on top, untouched and unscathed.
I know, Colin, I know. I just keep hoping, in vain as it turns out, that SOMEONE will wake up to the madness of the Corinthos/Morgan takeover of years ago. There are so many more interesting people to focus on. I abandoned the show after many years when Billy Miller checked out. But then….the Nikolas return and the Nelle resurgence got me hooked again. I still FF anything to do with the militantly repulsive Peter August and keep hoping Billy/Drew will return. And I confess to liking the Ava/Nikolas tale.
Soaphound…sadly speaking, I don’t think that the characters of Peter and Carly are gonna be written off of GH anytime soon. I mean…seeing as how Wes Ramsey and Laura Wright (1) are 2 GH FAVORITES and (2) are dating each other in real life. BEYOND ANNOYING!!!!!
Later.
All good points on Carly. She got triggered due to Nelle’s involvement. I have to admit I was rooting for Nelle to get away with the baby–I like her character’s shenanigans-for some period of time and then get caught and later reunion the baby with Michael.
The show I saw had too much Carly screeching and making it about her and not enough Michael and Lucas expressing their outrage. But then, some things never change. Poor Bobbie just sat there, looking fantasic by the way, with her mouth hanging open, probably wishing Carly would shut up.
Wiley is an adorable child.
It would’ve made more sense for Lucas’ memory to have been jogged while in the car to the airport. The only thing that being in the Corinthos house should have triggered was nausea,
And of course Carly’s caterwauling took center stage. I so wanted Julian to step forward and ask her if she was this outraged when Sonny stole Michael from AJ or if that was different because she gave her blessing.
Poor Brad. He’ll lose everything for one mistake yet Saint Sonny and Jason can commit every crime in the book and come out smelling like roses.
I’m rooting for Nelle. At least she’s entertaining.
You want the writers to leave a baby in the care of Nelle the psychopath?
The alternative is the baby being in the hands of wimpy Michael who is totes cool with his career criminal family who are guilty of hundreds of more crimes than Nelle. I don’t think Nelle is any worse a role model than Sonny, Carly, Michael, and their pals Jason and Sam.
You know, Alan, I’d rather see Wiley with Lucas after all since he doesn’t have too much involvement with Sonny. If not, let Willow have him. She couldn’t do any worse than Carly the Castrator. Oh, I just realized…. Carly is now a grandmother. If I ever hear the words Nana Carly spoken on that show…. I’ll free Nelle myself!
I love the episodes and yes finally, but I have to agree with some poster, how the heck did this.become the Carly show? it was almost like it was all about Carly(clearly one of franks V pet) and Bobbie just stood there like an extra, clearly the writers don’t know how to write for multiple people in a scene, the bobbie I knew would of had more to say. I’m glad brad is getting what he deserves, him and Julian are both weasels. one thing I was glad about was that although this storyline was the main focus, the other storyline playing out with taggert, curtis and Jordan was just as interesting.
This comment is about Taggert and Trina…
Maybe Stella is Taggert’s mom and Trina is her granddaughter…connecting back to the DNA tests that revealed they each had a relative in PC. Taggert and Curtis would be cousins!
What a refreshing, straight-forward reveal! Lucas remembers and, true to the character’s honesty, he stands up and tells Michael immediately that Wiley is his. Then the fireworks started to really light the room! I think there will be a lot more.
These past two episodes were dynamite!
I am so sick of Carly. You hardly ever see her with her own newborn. Then there is Liesl who knew the truth about Wiley. Didn’t she help Nelle at the birth of Michael and her baby? Wonder if she will factor into the reveal at some time. And since other commenters are doing it, sick of Sonny as well, and really disappointed we are going to have another Sonny/Jason crime story. Why should Jason be anywhere near his own kids. He’s a great role model for his own kids. “Let’s bomb a building in retaliation…make sure my gun’s ready…how does he get a license to carry anyway.” And just a little defense of the actor who plays Peter. I like him. Not a great role to play. I think he has probably been disliked by many because of his association with “Carly.”
Carly, “mother of the year.”
OK…here are the GH characters that I am TRULY SICK OF: Alexis, Carly, Jason, Peter, Sam and Sonny.
Everybody else…I like.
Later.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
