Paige Herschell Exits ‘General Hospital’ as Jacinda Bracken

As suspected, Jacinda Bracken got a one way ticket out of Port Charles, thus ending the run of Paige Herschell as the escort-turned-girlfriend of Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). The story turn took place on the Tuesday, August 11 episode of General Hospital.
After Jacinda drugged Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) by spiking her iced coffee, and Michael finding Willow drugged out in front of their kids, Amelia and Wiley, he knew he had to break things off with her.
Michael gave Jacinda enough money to get out of town and start a new life for herself, because given these recent developments, Willow will use this against him to gain full custody of his children. In their final scenes, Michael and Jacinda said a heartfelt goodbye to one another.

THE HISTORY OF JACINDA BRACKEN
According to Soap Opera Digest, a GH rep confirmed that today marked Paige Herschell’s final appearance in the role and that her exit was indeed, storyline-dictated. Herschell had originally auditioned for the role of Blaze a few years back. That part went to Jacqueline Grace Lopez.
Later, Herschell was brought in for a short stint beginning in April 2025, as the escort hired by Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Portia (Brook Kerr) to paint Drew (Cameron Mathison) in a bad light. So with Nina and Portia supplying her with ketamine, she drugged Drew. Next, Jacinda was able to get the then congressman to do liquor shots off her body in front of everyone at the Savoy Nightclub. After Drew made a public spectacle of himself, Nina paid Jacinda to leave town and she wound up in Australia.
However, by September of 2025, Jacinda was back in town, where she agreed to pretend to be Michael’s girlfriend for appearances sake and to give him an alibi on the night Drew Cain was shot. The arrangement eventually turned into genuine feelings for one another.
Back in April of 2026, Paige celebrated her one-year anniversary with GH as Jacinda and posted on Instagram,”Holy smokes! It’s been one year since Jacinda was introduced on Genera Hospital. I’m so grateful to this show for the work! Thank you to the amazing fans and the awesome cast and crew! One year! Holy moly! Jacinda- you continue to surprise me.” Fast-forward and now by August, Herschell has wrapped her run.
So, with the news of Jacinda’s departure on GH, are you glad Michael sent her packing. or were you hoping that Michael and Jacinda would wind up a bonafide couple that would go on for quite some time? Let us know via the comment section below.
I liked them together. She will be missed.
I liked her. Maybe she will comeback.
Not surprised by this exit. The writing was on the wall. They tried pulling the Blaze formula by bringing back a one-bit character and pairing with a regular character in the hopes of the role sticking, but it did not. And, truthfully, Paige Herschell would have been better suited as a Sasha recast.
What the writers had her do was bad but all part of their plan. I wish they would give willow and drew the disaster they deserve …sick of their BS and constant lies
I really liked Jacinda and Michael as a couple and thought they had great chemistry. The same can’t be said for some of the other couples on the show.
Like Carly and Valentin. I am still scratching my head over that one!
Exactly.
I liked her right away- she brought a natural affability and effervescence to what was supposed to be a temporary role. It does feel like she was traded for Serena, who so far hasn’t made much of an impression on me at all
Good to see her Go!
Now can we get rid of some of the kids, Sams yone bit these kids
Hey kids! Get off my lawn!
I’m sad Jacinda is leaving GH. Her and Michael were cute together.
Seems like they’re throwing Jacinda under the bus so they can force a pairing of Mikey with NuSerena.
Reminds me of what happened when the Valentini regime first took over GH in February 2012, when they killed off Mikey’s first girlfriend Abby by dropping a steel beam on her head, so they could force a pairing of him with the talentless little twit from OLTL.
At least Scott Baldwin’s daughter has a valid place in Port Charles. But that doesn’t mean she deserves to be immediately hooked up with the ultimate Spencer/Quartermaine/Corinthos legacy kid.
Ironically, Jacinda seemed like a rewrite of Abby in many ways. For a while it looked like maybe they realized the mistake they made by writing her off in the first place, by pairing up the current version of Mikey with somebody with a similar history. Abby helped Mikey heal from what Franco’s skinhead buddy did to him in prison. Jacinda helped him heal from what Willow & uncle Dragon Chow Drew did to him (not to mention the BBQ incident in Sonny’s penthouse). Looked like they were a good fit. Until suddenly it was over.
Bummer….
On GH Michael and jacinda were Never Going to Get married I hope he Does not lose His kids Now
Y&R would be wise to snatch her up. The girl is a star. I wish the writers would have given her a story. Like what made her end up as a call girl. Now we are stuck with Serena.
She would make a great Summer Newman recast for Y&R!
Bring her back!
The whole thing was so far out of left field, you knew something was coming. She hadn’t been used that much in the last several months, not surprised at the departure.
She had grit was hoping they would become a power couple! The writing is terrible now especially with exiting of all the characters lately! Are u guys short on money u can’t pay all ur peoples?
I really thought the pairing of Michael and Jacinda added interest to the whole story, and sorry they wrote her out of the show the way they did. I do not want Willow with Michael! She is a totally selfish person. Out for herself…even willing to set up Michael for attempted murder, and then shoot Drew in the back! Also, drugging him and keeping him paralyzed for months was a terrible thing to do to anyone..even Drew! She is only out for herself, and has been for years!! . .I’m sorry they wrote her out of the show the way they did!! Michael deserves someone better!!
I wanted Jacinda to stay! I liked Michael and Jacinda together and hoped that they would become an accepted couple. And most importantly, Wiley and Amelia love Jacinda!
I don’t want Michael to be swayed by Serena Baldwin and her conniving mother!
Ta! (gag!)
Couldn’t agree more! Lucy & Serena-ugh. I’ve always found Lucy to be very annoying. I loved Michael with Jacinda.
Jacinda has to come back.. I like her!!
Yuck!
I liked the actress but not the character. I mean, I didn’t like her being an escort while everyone (except for Olivia) was looking the other way like it was no big deal. Anyway, it seemed like the writing was on the wall once Kristina left town. It was clear they were going to create a love triangle between Kristina, Jacinda and Michael.
Kristina ? Michael’s sister!! What are you talking about?
Really? You didn’t notice all the scenes between Jacinda and Kristina and how the writers were clearly on the path of having Kristina fall for Jacinda? ….all the opportunities the writers took to have Michael exit the room so Kristina and Jacinda could bond? It was clear that was where the writers were headed, but Kate Mansi didn’t renew her contract.
I am very sorry to see her go. I really liked Jacinda and thought she and Michael made a very cute couple. Paige Herschell made Jacinda very enjoyable. I wish Paige nothing but success in her future career.
I loved her this show is getting on my nerves
I really liked them together and was hoping it would last! I hope they bring her back along with Sasha who has Michael’s baby.
I really wanted the relationship to go further. I’m gonna miss her. Now Nina and Willow will know jacinda drugged her
Kudos to Paige Herschell for making an impact with this character. Jacinda had a good run, but it was time to move on from the character. Another soap would be wise to get Herschell on board.
Not mentioned above, but it certainly seemed that we’ve also seen the last of Carlo Rota as Jenz Sidwell. The offscreen plea bargain and its implications seemed hastily conceived. The Maxie coma reveal (to Cody???) tied up one loose end, but it looks like Drew, Willow, and Ezra, to name a few, won’t be looking over their shoulders going forward. While sometimes cartoonish, Rota was never dull to watch. Will real life wife, Nazneen (Justine) soon depart as well?
Yes it seems Sidwell went out with a whisper and not a bang. The writing has been a bit wonky lately. I can only compare it to retail stores holding clearance sales in order to make room for fall fashions. I don’t like how Gio, who professed his undying love for Emma, suddenly cannot give her top priority because he has to sing a couple songs with Tuneless, er, I mean Trina. Now the formerly fiercely independent Trina has turned into Gio’s doormat. If they use Tuneless, um, Trina, to break up the darling Gio and Emma, I will be quite annoyed. Trina is already on my list for fake crying about thr prospect of her horrible jerk of a father going to jail. And let me just say this, Tabby cries as well as she sings.
My apologies. I meant, Emma, not Trina, when speaking of her fierce independence.
You had me at tubeless, lol!
Emma is one of the many characters in limbo right now. She’s oblivious to the cray-cray still going on with Anna while being pushed to the side by Gio. She’s a beloved character played by a fine young actress. Let’s get Emma her own story.
What’s the “A” story now? The non-crash? Deception? Millow? 5 weeks ago, this show was on fire. Now, there’s just a lot of things on the back burner.
Beats me. Emma deserves a front burner story that doesn’t involve her waiting for Gio to call her. If they wanted to create conflict for Gio and Trina, why not send Charlotte their way? She clearly has a crush on him
and she has inherited that Cassadine sinister gene that could make things interesting. Trina is too sweet to be the girl who breaks up Gio and Emma.
I was hoping she would stayed with Michael, I liked them together.
I hoped her and Michael could stay together. I definitely don’t want a Michael Willow reunion. Why do they even want to go there?! Jacinda was great. They would be smart to bring her back 6 months down the line either pregnant or a powerful businesswoman. Or both!!
I would’ve like to see Michael and Jacinda make it as a legit couple.
Loved Jacinda & Michael together. Writers suck just a repeat of Sasha & Michael’s breakup which I was equally disappointed in. Writers are terrible & ruin everything like with Drew’s Character Change Arch & Willow’s Mental Status!! Sick of them destroying the show & making it unwatchable. Serena is not acceptable to pair with Michael. Gross No Thank you!! Do better: This pairing is not palatable!!

Hayden Panettiere’s Memorial Service Attended by ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Nashville’ Alum Jonathan Jackson and More

Over the weekend, the loved ones of Hayden Panettiere (ex-Sarah, One Life to Live, ex-Lizzie, Guiding Light and ex-Juliette Barnes, Nashville et al) gathered in Malibu, California on Saturday, September 19 to honor and celebrate the late actress’ life in what has been reported by TMZ as an extremely moving memorial service just one month after her tragic death.
Attending the funeral were several of Panettiere’s Nashville co-stars and closest friends including: six-time Daytime Emmy winner, Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital, ex-Avery Barclay, Nashville), Connie Britton (ex-Rayna James), Claire Bowen (ex-Scarlett O’Connor), Lennon Stella (ex-Maddie Conrad) and Charles Esten (ex-Deacon Claybourne) who performed one of Hayden’s song from the series with a band set up at the church.
In addition to Panettiere’s Nashville co-stars, her dear friends, Evan Ross, Paris Hilton and Ruby Rose were among the 150 or so guests, and the celebration of life was organized by Hayden’s family, including her father, Skip Panettiere.

INSIDE HAYDEN PANETTIERE’S CELEBRATION OF LIFE
The report shared that Connie Britton and Charles Esten made speeches about their late friend and colleague, and it appears guests watched as doves were released outside the church before moving inside for the ceremony in tribute to the 36-year-old star.
Hayden’s mother, Leslie Vogel was reportedly not invited to the memorial. However, she denies this according to TMZ, and shared that she had a family emergency which precluded her from making her daughter’s funeral. In addition, Hayden’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were also not invited to the memorial. It was Zach who first found Hayden unresponsive in an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina.
Recent reports have indicated that Hayden’s cause of death is related to her taking a fentanyl-laced oxycodone pill. According to TMZ, multiple law enforcement sources connected to the case believe she took one fatal oxycodone pill laced with fentanyl the morning of her death, Sources with direct knowledge allege that Panettiere had a “long time drug dealer” in Los Angeles who provided her with several black-market prescription drugs, including oxycodone.

‘General Hospital’s’ James Patrick Stuart Delivers the ‘Power Performance of the Week’

Sometimes not overplaying moments within two-person scenes, carry the weight and the gravitas of the situation and tug at our heartstrings. That’s exactly what General Hospital’s James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine) was able to do on last week’s Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16 episodes of the ABC daytime drama series in scenes with Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Laura Wright (Carly Spencer).
We know last week saw many emotional turns from the likes of the aforementioned Hughes, plus her GH co-stars, Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) and Cynthia Watros (Nina), plus The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy). All the actresses delivered noteworthy performances. However, for us, James Patrick Stuart’s Valentin, showed his deep love and care for a woman torn to pieces by the WSB and the sadness he felt seeing this great love of his in so much turmoil, while also trying to hold on to the new woman in his life, which pulled us in.
In story, Valentin hightails it to Anna where she explains how she almost killed Britt Westbourne, and how she faked her recover at the clinic in France, when all along she was seeing visions of Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Anna is in such a state that Valentin offers to run away with her. Carly shows up at Anna’s door and sees Valentin is there and makes a quick exit.

VALENTIN IS HEARTBROKEN FOR ANNA
Anna tells Valentin that he needs to go after Carly and explain to her that he was just visiting her to check in and to take care of an old friend. Valentin says share so much more than that, which Anna says she knows. After Felicia (Kristina Wagner) comes to watch over Anna, Valentin leaves, but is heartbroken over Anna.
SMOOTHING THINGS OVER WITH CARLY
When Valentin arrives back at Carly’s he wants to explain to her what has happened to Anna, but Carly says she wants to respect Anna’s privacy. In a very adult conversation, Valentin tells Carly he believes Anna will come back from this and land on her feet as she always does. He adds that he hopes that one day she can find some peace, just like he has now with Carly. Valentin realizes how good Carly has been for him, his outlook and happiness. The two share a hug.
Throughout all of these beats, James Patrick Stuart was able to shift from gut-wrenching concern, caring, and panic, to self-awareness, and hope for the future. It certainly touched us and we hope many viewers felt it too.
It does go to show that sometimes on the soaps, the big histrionic performances are not always the most memorable ones. Sometimes it’s the quiet ones that sneak up on us. All you needed to do was watch Valentin’s eyes in the scenes and you knew exactly how he was feeling.
So, for all the reasons stated above, Michael Fairman TV names General Hospital’s James Patrick Stuart, as our pick for the Power Performance of the Week.
So, do you agree with our choice of James Patrick Stuart, or do you think someone else should have been gotten our recognition? If so, share your picks and thoughts via the comment section below.

Chris McKenna Speaks Out On His Final Day as ‘General Hospital’s’ Jack Brennan with Words of Wisdom to ‘Finish Strong’

When Jack Brennan was found dead and floating in the Metro Court pool on the September 1 episode of General Hospital, it unfortunately meant the end of the road for Chris L. McKenna, who had returned to the soaps to play the WSB Port Charles Bureau Chief.
As with any death on the soaps, and a litany of subjects in this whodunit, Brennan’s death opened the door to more story, as fans are still grappling with the decision to kill off the character.
The bittersweet exit was not the first time Chris had been written out of a soap. On The Young and the Restless, Chris played detective Mark Harding from 2014-2015, who ended up dead, and guess who was in that scene? None other than GH’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) when he was over at the CBS soap opera taking on the role of Dylan McAvoy.
Now. on an all-new episode of the That’s Awesome podcast with Burton and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH) released on Friday, September 18, the duo welcomed Chris McKenna direct from Clearwater, Florida.

MAKING SURE PAIGE HERSCHELL WAS OK
During the conversation, Chris explained how his last day went and how he went about lifting the spirits of the GH cast and crew with very special attention to Paige Herschell (ex-Jacinda Bracken).
McKenna shared how he knew for a bit about his departure, before the rest of the cast knew he was exiting the show, explaining. “I had time to process it. It had been a surprise to many, to me, and to many people in the building when it first happened. But by this point, Paige Herschell found out at the same time that she wasn’t going to be coming back. She had her last day, the day before mine.”
“Paige hadn’t been through this before. I had,” shared the soap vet. “I had a show that was on the air and it was in primetime, and then it got canceled. I thought it was devastating, and that I was never going to work again. So, this has happened so many times to me (throughout my career), that I don’t get rattled anymore by it.”

Photo: ABC
WHEN YOU GET BAD NEWS …
McKenna said he wanted to go out on a high note: “It was important to me to make sure, first of all, everybody else felt comfortable because everybody felt bad and felt sad and felt upset. I was like, ‘It’s fine. We’re okay. I’m going to be fine. So, let’s make sure everyone’s okay.'”
Out of concern for his exiting co-star, Chris recalled, “I wanted to make sure that Paige got her flowers, and she had her attention and got her send off appropriately. I wanted to make sure I hugged her and told her to finish strong. It it was important to me, and also I was working with the kids (Scarlett, Danny). I try to be a mentor to some of the younger actors as well.”
LEAVING PORT CHARLES
The message Chris wanted to impart before he left the GH studios for the last time was, “I’ve been doing this so long, so I wanted to show them how to handle it. When you get bad news, it doesn’t have to devastate you, and it’s not the end of the world, and to make sure everybody’s laughing and having fun. I tried to make the the last day fun for everybody else, so that everybody could enjoy it with me.”
You can check out the full discussion with Chris with Steve and Bradford below.
Now let us know, are you still sad over the departures of Chris McKenna and Paige Herschell? What do you think about Chris’ motivational message to “finish strong?” Share your thoughts via the comment section.
