GENERAL HOSPITAL: Are You For or Against Kristina Being the Surrogate for TJ & Molly’s Baby Knowing the Storyline Implications Down the Road?

As many GH viewers have predicted, things have swung back around to Kristina (Kate Mansi) seemingly being the most viable option in Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) mind to carry her and TJ’s (Tajh Bellow) baby as their surrogate.

If you recall, Kristina offered a few months back and was shut down by Molly, and then TJ, as the couple then went looking through agencies to find a surrogate to carry their baby to term. The surrogate they found, Andrea, told TJ she lost the baby in a miscarriage, which was confirmed by a doctor at Mercy Hospital, and she won’t go through trying to have a baby again. Leaving the couple devastated. But, is her story suspicious?

Last week on General Hospital, Molly was overwhelmed when having to look through a file to start the process of finding a surrogate and identifying the right candidate all over again and it brought her to tears. Kristina found her in the park, and that led the two to have a heart-to-heart conversation. While the two sisters have come to an agreement, now it comes to convincing TJ that this is the right move.

However, fans of the show can see how complex this will be for everyone down the line. If Kristina’s relationship with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) moves further down the line, will she be so willing to give her sister the baby? Could there be an ugly court battle for the little one between two moms vs. TJ and Molly?  Will Kristina having their child, bring TJ and Kristina actually closer together, and cause rifts in Molly’s relationship with her man and her sister? What does the long-running soap opera have in store in the storyline by making Kristina the ultimate surrogate? Or, could Kristina lose the baby, only to find out that Andrea, the original surrogate has TJ and Molly’s child? So many possibilities.

Photo: ABC

Soap Opera Digest spoke to Kristen Vaganos on where Molly’s head is at with the situation. Vaganos shared, “I think there’s a little bit of desperation there, wanting to take a route that might be more trustworthy. (Surrogacy is) such a hard process to put trust and hope into because anything can happen. And Molly is a control freak! She wants to control as much as she can, so having a relative involved is, I think, comforting in a way.”

In terms of how Molly will re-approach TJ with Kristina being the prospective surrogate, Vaganos added, “Molly knows that it’s going to be an uphill battle, convincing him. Kristina’s track record with TJ is what it is. But it’s another leap of faith that Molly wants to take, and she just wants TJ to be on board with her. Plus, I think that TJ will really trust Molly’s opinion because Molly knows her better than anybody, and Molly would be the first person to doubt Kristina, to make sure to double-check her work. So if Molly says that she really feels strongly about this and thinks it’s the right decision, I think that’ll go a long way. I think TJ will take that to heart. But unless he’s on board with it, too, it’s a nonstarter.”

So, how do you see this playing out and what do you want to see? Are you in favor of Kristina being the surrogate for Molly and TJ’s baby? Are you for or against it, and what it could mean for long-term story implications? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

BAD idea!!!!!! They don’t get along now! How will it be when Kristina constantly puts her two cents in and may want parental rights? Can you say Devon from Y&R, when he was the donor for Abby & Chance and Mariah who formed an attachment to the baby.

Bad. New Kristina is growing on me, and newest Molly is ok… but I do skip over this storyline. No part of it holds my interest.

So, everyone knew this is where they were going months before the writers’ strike and now, we’re here. We all know TJ and Molly will have Kristina as their surrogate. The questions are how things pan out as the child grows up. How picky will Kristina be with Molly & TJ’s choices? Will she interfere with them raising the child? We all know there will be contention. Not sure I’m invested in such a story. But there may be others out there who can relate. We’ll have to see.

Since this family is in each other’s pockets, mom and Sam included, you know Kristina will have her nose in Molly and T.Js ways of raising that baby. Also Blaze will have some in-put also since she assuredly will be a part of Kristina’s life going forward.

The main idea of will Kristina want a voice in raising this kid? Of course, or she wouldn’t be Kristina who gets her nose in everything now, can you imagine knowing she’s the “real” mother?

don’t care for new Molly or this storyline

I don’t like her either.

The story may be lacking but Kristen Vaganos as Molly was a case of third time’s the charm in recasting. She’s believable as Kristina’s sister and more mature to play the courtroom scenes as ADA.

Kristina is a good choice for the story line but what about finding out that the original one never miscarried too? Wouldn’t that spice it up in two different directions? All at the same time!

I agree the first surrogate probably didn’t miscarry. That’s why she said she went to Mercy Hospital.

Well… unless the surrogate’s husband happens to be a black man, that would be all too obvious when the baby was born, and looked like TJ.

So for that reason, I doubt they’re going with the story angle. My thinking is that Kristina was going to be the real surrogate all along, but when the writers strike happened, the scab writers were told to put the story “on hold” and not proceed with it until the real writers could do the story. So rather than back burner the storyline entirely, they came up with the other surrogate to fill time.

Of course the 40 year old fake Molly recast who was on screen at the time made the whole thing more ridiculous anyway. This latest recast is better than her, at least. Though I’d be lying if I said I didn’t hope Haley came back, once her legal & substance issues are resolved.

It is very refreshing to read you do have a bit of compassion and forgiveness in your heart Satan for Haley’s legal and substance issues.

Well, in my line of work you meet all kinds of (former) mortals who have made all kinds of mistakes. And there’s a whole lot of folks down here who really didn’t have to be, if maybe some of their fellow mortals hadn’t kicked them while they were down. In Haley’s case, she’s certainly young enough to turn her life around.

I know the old saying goes “To err is human, to forgive divine”. I pretty much gave up the dvinity thing a long time ago, but forgiveness can be unholy too, at least in this part of Hell.

I predicted that Kristina was going to be the surrogate months ago..

Cannot stand either Molly or Kristina characters! I don’t blame the actresses, but I’ve been fast forwarding whenever they are on screen which has been way too much.

Gee, I thought I was the only one doing that.I liked Kate Mansi in DOOL but not as Kristina particularly and this Molly is utterly boring, making poor TJ boring as well.Might as well add Blaze while we’re at it, zzzźz, she completes the snooze fest.

This whole SL has got to be the worst and most boring of anything. First of all, baby or not and who’s having it, who cares? Looks like Kristina is getting cold feet now especially knowing Blaze is waiting for her in the possible throes of romance, yuk! Hate the whole idea and waste of time that could be spent on some of the possibilities, etc.

dont appreciate blaze or any two females together hate to stop watching but it is sickning have a real story sony and carly in bed caught by nina

So, adultery isn’t sickening? But two characters with real feelings for each other is. OK, then. Would organized crime make you stop watching? Is that too sickening? What about torture? Is murder sickening? So sickening you would stop watching? I know what I find sickening right now, and it has nothing to do with what’s onscreen on the show.

Hopefully you can FF as I do, or just leave the room for a few minutes. I could care less what their association is but Im sure as hell not watching it!

Maybe you should switch to The Bold & Beautiful, which despite focusing on fashion in LA has no gay characters. Or, you can just stick with Fox News or old reruns of Ozzie & Harriet.

Diversity and inclusion is a wonderful thing.

we all can’t stand Kristina and Molly. they can’t act at all. the worst storyline in GH.
and the worst is lesbians storyline. i fast
forward when kristina and Blaze come on.
please delete Molly and especially Kristina
she can’t act at all. it’s a awful.

Speak for yourself. Both actresses are seasoned actors. Kate Mansi, who plays Kristina, used to be on Days and has done a lot of other work. Kristen Vaganos who plays Molly has also been in other things as well. I liked, and still like, Lexi Ainsworth and never thought I’d be okay with another actress in the role of Kristina. I was wrong; Kate has made it her own. Haley Pullos comes off as entitled in real life and came off entitled as Molly. I was thrilled “Molly” hadn’t been on in a long time and then thrilled again when I found out shed’ been recast. I finally like the character again.

Nonsense. Kate Mansi (who now plays Kristina) won a daytime Emmy while on Days of our Lives. Kristen Vaganos as Molly has rejuvenated that character. They are totally believable as sisters.

FF the same sex stuff if you choose but know they’re not going away.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

By

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair

Published

By

After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!

In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.

Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.

MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP

Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!

At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

Courtesy/ABC

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY

Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”

LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER

In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?

So, what do you think of Michael’s plan to push Willow and Chase into an affair? Will it work or backfire? Do you think Joss will reveal that Valentin is the man sleeping with Carly to Brennan, which will send him in a rage? Will Lulu continue to be clueless about “Nathan?” Weigh-in via the comment section below. But first, take a look at the GH video tease for today’s April 30 episode.
