GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: When Gangsters Go to War
This week on General Hospital, lives are on the line, as the mob war between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) explodes. The two men have already had terse words when Sonny was put on notice by Sidwell that he wants him out of the way and intends in gaining control of his territory, the pier, and everything else he can swallow up in Port Charles.
In the newly-released promo for all-new episodes airing June 30-July 3 (the end of the week brings an encore episode for 4th of July), Natalia (Eva LaRue) looks like she takes her last breath, Kristina (Kate Mansi) is stuck in a blaze inside Charlie’s, Sonny and Jason look concerned as it’s clear police or firefighter sirens or going off behind them.
Elsewhere, Sidwell lurks on Spoon Island at Wydemere on the parapet. What has he done? Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) voice is heard saying, “When gangsters go to war, they don’t go after each other first. They go after their enemies and loved ones.”

From the looks of it, “someone” had ended the life of Natalia, and “someone” has gone after Sonny’s kids again, with Kristina in the line of the fire (and remember Michael was burned to a crisp in the explosion in Sonny’s penthouse months ago in the first attack). The promo ends with the voice of Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) telling seemingly Sonny, “I will not bury another daughter.”
Now below take a look at the official GH spoilers for the week:
MONDAY, JUNE 30
An uninvited guest crashes Daisy’s christening. Chase and Brook Lynn make a pact. Lucas encourages Marco. Kristina finds herself in a dangerous situation. Anna faces off with ADA Turner.
TUESDAY, JULY 1
Anna and Chase rush to the scene of a crime. Alexis pays a visit to Sidwell. Michael opens up to Sasha. Brennan sets boundaries with Josslyn. Molly is relieved.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 2
Sonny vows revenge. Gio opens up to Emma. Lucas voices his fears. Tracy does some scheming. Joss makes a revelation.
THURSDAY, JULY 3
Dante seeks out Jason. Trina warns Kai. Michael is disturbed. Maxie makes a discovery. Lulu advises Laura.
FRIDAY, JULY 4
Encore Episode – originally aired on November 27, 2024
Kristina has a meltdown in court. Lulu comes face to face with Rocco. Lucky and Liz confront Cyrus. Maxie supports Sasha. Spinelli is taken aback.
So, do you think that after watching the promo below and reading the spoilers above, that Jenz took out his ex-wife and is going to make it look like Sonny did it, or do you think Sonny had her eliminated? What of Kristina? Do you think she will come out the fire at Charlie’s unscathed? Weigh-in via the comment section.
We don’t need a mystery around Natalia – just show Jenz doing the deed to prove he’s a bad guy.
Are they really destroying another set? I’m more concerned about losing Charlie’s than Kristina needing Michael’s room in Germany or Lulu’s sleeping chamber at Turning Woods. We can use a break from her histrionics.
Thank you! My sentiment exactly.
Does seem a little weird that they just gave Charlie’s a complete remodel a couple of months back and now they’re going to torch the place?
I don’t think anybody ever expected Natalia to be a long term character, so no great loss there. But as unoriginal as the current writers are, I really can’t imagine they would replay the “Mikey in the burn ward” scenario with Krissy, literally just weeks after Mikey returned.
Unless the end goal is the same (recast), and they’re looking for a way to bring Lexi Ainsworth back?
If Lexi did come back, Kristina would (rightfully) look younger than Michael but also younger than Molly. No win scenario.
If only! Man, I loved Lexi as Kristina so much
I did too. She was far more sympathetic, more of an underdog, and you found yourself rooting for her to finally win one.
Fires and guns and violence-oh my! Since they don’t know what to do with Sixty-Sonny, they revert back to the same ole, same ole. Another child of Sonny’s literally facing the fire of his crimes? Yawn. This is not summer romantic soap adventure; it’s lazy, redundant boring, plot driven writing.
Another explosion/fire?? Come on GH writers, this is lazy! This just happened to Michael!
What’s next? Dante waiting in the coffee warehouse and he’s instantly roasted?

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
