General Hospital’s Tabyana Ali Warns on Upcoming ‘Sprina’ and Esme Scenes for Fans to “Make Sure Their Blood Pressure Will Be Down”

This week on ABC’s General Hospital, it looks like a major showdown is coming between Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Esme (Avery Pohl), and then the question of how will the series address the exit of Spencer played by Nicholas Chavez (Spencer) as he takes time away from tto film one of the lead roles in Ryan Murphey’s anthology series Monsters.

In story, Sprina have begun their time together in Paris – where the plan is for Trina and Spencer to have quality time together during Trina’s semester abroad.  But, of course, Esme is hot on their trail, especially given that her memories are all intact, Spencer handed her baby over to Nikolas, etc.

Tabyana Ali told Soap Opera Digest on a preview of what fans can expect, “It’s emotional, it’s high-stakes and you can’t miss it.”

Then, in a tease for what sounds like a potential massive catfight confrontation between Esme and Trina, Ali expressed, “In some ways and to some degree, I have been looking forward to a specific moment that happens. And I think everybody is going to feel very satisfied by this specific moment. And I can’t wait for people to see that.”

However for GH fans, the actress also teased that the drama could have fans blood boiling, adding, “I also want to tell everybody to please take their blood pressure pills. People need to do whatever they need to make sure their blood pressure will be down.”

Now in the latest promo for GH, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is heard saying, “Esme has a lot to lose. That may make her unpredictable.” Meanwhile, Laura (Genie Francis) is seen gut-punched and in tears. Could it be she received some terrible news about Spencer?

Official teasers for the show share that on today’s Monday, January 29th episode, Spencer and Trina enjoy a romantic dinner in Paris. Next on Tuesday, January 30th, Spencer makes a discovery. And on Wednesday, January 31st, Spencer and Trina find themselves in a precarious situation. As previously reported, Nicholas Chavez last airdate before his hiatus from the series is Wednesday, January 31st.

So, what do you think will happen to Spencer? Looking forward to an ultimate showdown between Esme and Trina? Weigh-in via the comment section below. But, first check out this week’s GH promo.

Will Spencer have adjoining rooms with Aunt Lulu for 4 months?

Will Nikolas take his oldest son to Cassadine Island to convalesce?

And, based on the shots fired in the preview, will Sonny & Ava get intimate for the first time since the crypt?

How either one of them could EVER judge anyone after that despicable “setting” to “come together,” lol, over their complicity in AJ’s death…is just another example of how the writers let some characters get away with everything and my poor AJ, and now Nina, always pay the price. Sigh.

So, he’s out in the Ocean in God knows what condition, besides the stuff Esme managed to inject him with, I’d say Spencer’s in a bad place. I wonder who will rescue him and take care of him for 4 months, also probably with no memory. So, as for your second question, do you really think Nikolas will conveniently find and save his son? That’s a long stretch, even for GH, but we know anything can happen.

Will Spencer end up in a coma next to Lulu?

I don’t think Esme was responsible for clobbering Kevin. I may be wrong, but, it’s just too obvious—

Did you miss the show??!! She CLEARLY clobbered him from behind!!!!!!!!

Again, did you miss the show??!!

LOL people just don’t pay attention to the show. We saw her hit him. Ugh these people still want Esme to be so innocent. Who else would have done it? Please.

Yea, she did it alright, now she’s in Paris after Spencer and Trina. Hope she gets the right one. Even though Esme has her memory back, I really didn’t think she’d blatantly start doing stuff like this, I thought she’d be more out there looking for her son. I’m wondering like everyone else how they will write off Spencer for 4 months.Maybe he’ll leave Paris with Esme to look for his dad and Ace.

I truly hope that they will get William Lipton back and that Nicholas Chaves will not quit working for General hospital. That being said, I always love Genie, Francis, but these kids are acting circles around her and the character of Porsche…. Still excellent show cuz no nina whining…

Oh, no!! —Esme—you are making a fool out of me!! I trusted you. What are you doing?? NOOOOO!!

She sure has disappointed me. Now she’s in more darn trouble than before after Trina gets through spilling her guts about what she did to her and Spencer.

Congrats to Nicholas Chavez on his movie role. I look forward to the exciting show when he returns! He will be missed. When does Steve Burton come back and how will that mess with Carly? And Sonny?

I’ve seen all the movies about those two brothers and I’m sure Chavez will play his part accordingly.

I sure wouldn’t worry about blood pressure rising but more like calming your gag reflex!

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
