GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Laura Makes a Horrifying Discovery, Dalton is Duplicitous, Chase Wants to Takedown Michael

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, will justice be served, or continue to accuse the wrong people of wrong-doings? First, in the newly-released ABC promo for the daytime drama series, after the stunning moment where Rocco (Finn Carr) is arrested and set to stand trial for breaking into Professor Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor) have a terse confrontation outside the courtroom where he says, “You and I both know he’s framing my grandson!”

That is juxtaposed with Dalton smiling when speaking to someone. Will Dalton get away with coming up with false charges against Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) son? Or, will Sidwell (Carlo Rota) intervene and take out the guy? Next, Chase (Josh Swickard), in his quest and his reawakened feelings for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), is all smiles and quite proud of himself when he says that knows, “Michael (Rory Gibson) gave the police a false alibi. And I can prove it.” Since he was investigating Michael as a citizen and not as a cop, how will this all shake out? Is Michael next to be sent to prison?

Then, in the terrifying moment at the conclusion of the promo, Sidwell’s voice is heard saying, “This, is what happens when you betray me,” as quick cuts of Josslyn (Eden McCoy) with her jaw dropped, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in tears, Carly (Laura Wright) also in tears, and Laura (Genie Francis) who is appears to be in the shock of her life when she lets out a curdling scream in the dark of night. Is she seeing a dead man in the trunk of her car?

The official GH spoilers for the week of November 17-21 are below, which also indicate that the election results for the mayoral race will come in and it looks like Laura’s horrifying discovery happens after that. In addition, on Sunday’s edition of Part One of Maurice Benard’s interview with Genie Francis on his State of Mind mental health series, the two discussed an upcoming scene between the two of them, which Francis revealed she used past real-life trauma to find a way into her performance to key into the emotion she needed to perform the material.

Taking to X following the streaming of part one of his interview with Genie, Benard confirmed that the part of the discussion involving their upcoming scenes will be seen by viewers momentarily! Maurice noted, “It’s a huge promo for General Hospital because the scenes are this week.”

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17

Britt and Emma face off. Lulu confides in Carly. Trina wants to confess. Alexis confers with Felicia. Dante loses his temper.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18

Jason offers an apology. Dante opens up to Lulu. Sidwell is left fuming. Britt issues an ultimatum. Brennan questions Carly.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19

The election results are in. Alexis briefs Jason. Emma is outraged. Vaughn summons Josslyn. Nathan provides an ear to Lulu.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20

Laura makes a shocking discovery. Britt is shaken. Lucas and Marco dine with Ava. Michael introduces Jacinda to Sonny. Chase furthers his investigation.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21

Michael pays peacemaker. Chase has news for Alexis. Marco makes a big decision. Gio confides in Sonny. Jason grills Britt.

Now below, check out the “Serving Justice” promo for the action this week in Port Charles.

So, who will Laura be traumatized to see that leaves her screaming? Is Dalton not long for this world, or will he continue to get away with his nefarious activities and framing Rocco? Do you want Chase to free Willow? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

I can’t with Chase. That story bugs me the most right now. After all, Chase was the first character to call out Willow’s need to be saved by a hero. Chase is already familiar with how both Nell and Willow operate. He’s already been stung by them both.

I agree

Chase is ridiculous! He’s acting like a lovesick puppy.

Chase better not ruin his marriage for loony cry baby willow!!!

I just want this Drew mess done with. I have got to where I fast forward on anything that has to do with him. This storyline is done!

Exactly let’s get over it new storylines

I’m sick of Willow and her whining. Chase is a fool.

As much as I love GH, there needs to be some “love in the afternoon.” There is not one couple that has makes you feel like they are the current-day Luke/Laura, Bo/Hope, Sonny/Brenda, Sonny/Carly. Give us a break from so much doom and gloom.

I agree! Maurice Benard said the same thing on his State of Mind podcast when he interviewed Genie Francis.

Come on writers, please let Rocco get out of that mess .Don’t let the mean , evil adults frame the children and get away with it. The DA need to go.

So looks like we are on the precipice of another whodunnit which would be okay had we solved the mystery of who shot Drew. Laura slaps Dalton and tells him it won’t end well for him ( and damn, Genie was Good!). Spoilers say Laura discovers something horrific. Clearly, it will be Dalton’s body and Laura will be suspect number one. We know Sidwell will have Dalton killed (which means it’s not really a whodunnit?). Anyway, another shooting to add to the judge and Drew.

Please don’t have Nathan be a programmed henchman, working for Sidwell. Nathan didn’t try to de-escalate the confrontation in today’s episode. Did Nathan tell Professor Dalton Mayor Collins was at the voting site? Did Nathan kidnap Anna because she wouldn’t rehire him and he needed a way in? Nathan knows Rocco lied to his parents about having dinner with Britt, himself, and Liesl. Will he backstab and say Rocco has a history of being dishonest?

Im sick of the Drew saga. How long is that going to go on

I’m glad they’re letting Ric play a good guy trying to prove himself to Sonny. Too
Many bad guys on GH, and Rick Hearst is so damn good. Love him and want him to stay.

I think Willow or maybe Porsche shot Drew so Willow needs to stay away somebody needs to do something to Dalton and Rocco go free and Laura win the election I hope

I hope Laura wins the election and someone does take Dalton out, but Laura don’t get accused of it. I hope Rocco is set free and I ain’t yet to figure out what’s going on with Nathan, but I think it has something to do with caesar Faison and I think he’s the one that had Anna kidnapped Because there’s no way that Nathan came back alive after supposed to be been dead for seven years. I don’t think it’s really Nathan. I think it is Cesar Faizan. but Laura cannot go down for Dalton Diane. They have to know that she will be set up or Sonny’s gonna intervene and take care of it.

And Lord knows I hope they bring Sam back and she tells everybody that Jason is the real father and not Drew I don’t like Drew no more. Him keeping Danny away from his sister is wrong and all the blackmailing and everything he’s doing nope, can’t stand him no more.

Irony there is for a few months they were saying Scout was 12 years old. Until they realized that math couldn’t possibly work, since Drew wasn’t even around until 2014, and wasn’t with Sam until 2015 when his implanted Jason memories were “recovered”.

So if Scout had been born in 2013, then Jason would have been her father, most likely conceived on the one and only day Jason & Sam were actually together in 2012, after the Frank & ReRon regime kept them apart all year to prop their OLTL pets with the dumb “baby switch” story. And then of course Jason was shot in the back and kicked off the docks after that, not to be seen again until 2017.

But they chickened out of all this and have recently said that Scout is 9 years old, which fits the timeline actually seen back in the day.

Now on the other horn, Mikey Corinthos is in his early 30s now, despite the fact that Carly wasn’t even in town yet at that point. And Jason was still wearing dorky Xmas sweaters.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
