GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: What Shocker Awaits at Chase and Brook Lynn’s Wedding?
It’s the week that many GH fans have waited for; the nuptials of Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Now, ABC has released the preview for the big day, which is not going off without a hitch.
Several Port Charles characters look to be involved in trouble, danger and a medical emergency. The promo begins with the happy bride, Brook Lynn, saying “Let’s get this wedding started.”
Famous last words are heard said by Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), “Everything’s got to go off without a hitch.” Well, this is a soap so that can’t be true!

Next, there are some troubling shots of Spinelli (looking surprised on his phone, Finn (Michael Easton) with his hands shaking looking at what appears to be a glass of champagne with Anna’s (Finola Hughes) voice saying, “We’ve got trouble.”
Sonny (Maurice Benard) has shown up, and as many predicted looks like the wedding will mark a real meltdown for the mobster who ha been unaware he has not been taking his full dose of medication to help combat his bipolar disorder.
Next, Sonny is heard saying, Know what I do to traitors?” as he side eyes Dex (Evan Hofer)! Eventually a voice says, “He lost a lot of blood. Let’s get him to trauma one.” The end of the promo features a stunned Chase looking at Brook Lynn.
So, what is all going down and going to happen at Chase and BLQ’s wedding? After looking at the promo, weigh-in below.
Wasn’t that the sane awful sport coat Ned was wearing when he hit his head and fell in the MC pool last year?
Will Gregory be the one to perish? That would be expected/perdictable. Despite the rumors, it’s not Finn as he was in PR pics last week from the stage dedication.
Will Jackie be there – or how will they explain her (and Monica) being absent?

Monica was absent from Michael and Willow’s wedding, Britt’s funeral, Epiphany’s funeral, Ned’s Eddie Maine persona, Willow’s leukemia, Jason’s return, Drew’s return, Tracy’s return…It’s absolutely ridiculous. They need to officially write her out, or recast, as difficult as that would be at this point.
If they get rid of Gregory this way it would also be ridiculous; they did it to Franco who was dying from a brain tumor and then Britt. Maybe they should just stop having people die; there’s an idea for a show which should be more escapism, less depressing.
They’re not going to recast someone who’s been in the role for 45 years. When Patty McCormack temporarily stepped in, story was already written and they knew Leslie would be returning. We can live with strange reasons or suspending belief- it’s a soap.
Similarly, with the fantastic news that John York is returning to screen next month, Mac’s 7 month out of town assignment is fine for long time viewers.
Heck, Audrey has been living offscreen for a decade and apparently is still watching her great grandchildren well into her 90s.
Audrey was less utilized. Monica as a lead family matriarch is missed more.
Recast Monica – if she can come back – then great.
I would not do that to leslie!
Agree on the suit. Why not a dark suit or Tux?
I think my least favorite storylines are addiction stories. They last forever and we’ve all seen them dozens of times throughout the years. I’m not excited if that’s the best the writers can come up with for Finn. I think the only things I’ve been liking are the changes in Tracy and the Sasha/Cody story.
Who will be injured and who’s up for contract negotiations? Lol
Isn’t the Matron or Maid of Honor supposed to be your best friend? Where does Willow come in, have bever seen her and Brooke hardly ever say two words to each other.
Totally agree; I don’t think she should have been in the party; just a guest. And WHY was Portia, Curtis, and Joss there??? And no Sasha!!!???
Maxie was BLQ’s maid of honor. Willow (the groom’s ex-wife!) was a bridesmaid. Sasha would’ve made a bit more sense than Willow.
While we got a reason for Monica not attending, no mention of the bride’s Uncle (Dillon) or inexcusably the groom’s mother (Jackie) not being in attendance.
And how well do either the bride or groom know Curtis & Portia? Felicia would’ve made more sense representing Mac (Chase’s supervisor). At least they had the desk sergeant as one of the extras.
Willow is actually one of the biggest ChaLynn shippers. She and Brook Lynn have been close for a long time.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Sonny wants answers. Ava is struck with inspiration. Curtis’ trial begins. Brook Lynn wrestles with a big decision. Lucy and Serena scheme.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 6
Sonny makes a stunning announcement. Serena makes her move. Willow faces a new threat. Isaiah takes the stand. Lucy questions Laura.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

General Hospital Fan Club Weekend brought out many of your favorites to the four day event; with the main cast gathering on Saturday, August 1. Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
