In a brand new ABC promo for General Hospital, the story continues to unfold as Anna (Finola Hughes) comes face to face with Faison (Anders Hove) and asks him for answers to if Robin (Kimberly McCullough) is alive! Then from the looks of it, Robin tries to call Patrick (Jason Thompson)!  Will he hear her voice on the other end of the line?

The promo voice-over announce teases,”The one thing they never thought could happen … is about to happen!”  Will Anna and Patrick finally know for certain that Robin is alive?   Will the truth come out?  Or, do you think Robin’s chances for freedom will again be thwarted by Dr Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), Jerry Jacks  (Sebastian Roche), and Faison?

Watch this week GH promo after the jump!  Let us know how you things will play out?  Are you excited to see the showdown between Anna and Faison?  Could it possibly be that Patrick and Robin connect?  Comment below!

omg, this is going to be awesome, can’t wait for anna and patrick to be reunited with Robin.

I actually got “goosebumps” watching that!! OMG, I can’t wait. GH is getting better and better!!!

cried

I got goosebumps too! It’s been so good lately!

I just love all of the old timers on now !! It totally Rock’s! Cant be any better ( get rid of Morgan & Ava) There is just something about him 🙁

Morgan and Ave crack me up and make me gag at the same time. Funny he is different but a really good actor.

Can it get any better than this…cant wait to see what happens next…only wish abc sometimes wouldnt interupt for newscast…glad i have soapnet…when Obama was on yesterday i got to watch the entire gh episode later that night on soapnet!!!

Lucky you….I’m still getting up to speed with what I missed due to that unfortunate preemption! Particularly disappointed to be deprived of the “Nutter Nirvana” that is Heather….her instances of inspired insanity are too few and far between as it is!!!! Love her scenes with “Franco”…RM’s a laugh riot playing off of RoHo, as was Diane as his “dinner date” today…..can’t say the “Lady Lawyer” isn’t a real sport when it comes to accommodating her clients!!! How crazy was that one-upsmanship production of “jealousy theatre” with Ms. Jax and “Mr.” Franco???? You just knew it would not end well….although it does beg the question: Will Derek be hopping aboard the “Carly Express???” Seems he has her “ticket!”

I see chemistry between Derek and Carly…Alexis can have Duke once Anna dumps him for Robert…all 3 couples i mentioned have the best chemistry together…imo

I hope Kimberly, Jason, Anna, Robert, duke , mac and Brooklyn all reunite. I hope Patrick and Anna finds her. Can’t wait for the Reunion. I’m so excited. Tired of Sabrina and the Britt and the Jeromes and Morgan and Ava. Lastly, please bring Back Jack Wagner (Frisco) and have Maxie have her Dad and Mom Felicia
Back together. Please Ron and Frank.

I sure hope they dont drag it out ! Robin & Patrick need to get back to gether and make another story line for Sabrina

This show is on FIYA! Why on earth B&B and Y&R get better ratings is beyond me!

What I’m excited to see is Robert Scorpio. It’s been very disappointing to see RC minimize Robert, especially when so many fans flock on to see Tristan Rogers. Faison is fun, but I’d rather see Ribert take a more active role in Robin’s life.

wow!!
I am very excited to see Jerry Jacks, Robert and Faison; all 3 a powerhouse!!
As for Robin ehhh, a has-been whom after her teen years was nothing special..

Not happy about her return.. The actress wanted out..she should STAY out. PERIOD!

The reason Kimberly and Jonathan Jackson both wanted out was because they went to Jill Phelps asking for a lighter work schedule, rather than being on almost every single day, of course She said no… JJ also wanted Lucky and Elizabeth to get back together to which Phelps also said no… Both of them made their decisions not to renew while She was still in charge, with Frank being in charge now and willing to give the Actors lighter schedules, I think it is great and VERY happy to have Robin back!!!

GH is on fire! Everything that’s going on is so good, so expertly woven together and acted with such finesse, especially Maurice Bernard as Sonny and Maura West as Ava. #mauricebernardemmy2013!

Only started watching GH when the OLTL characters moved to GH. Who knew I would find one of my favorite Characters in Anna Devane. I love this Character she is now on my top list with Vicky Hudson / Frankie Frame / Olivia Spencer / well the list is too long but you get the drift. Go Anna!!

Love it… can’t wait!!!

This is got to be my favorite promo of the year. Gh has been on fire lately. I cant wait to see Anna and Faison come face to face.

Awesome. Just keep the story fast paced and dont drag it on for weeks.

“GH” is on fire once again, love having the legacy characters back and the nods to history that Frank and Ron throw into the mix. “GH” is once again must see tv, and I for one am loving every single show!!!

I am probably the only one in the minority here, but I am glad to see Anders Hove back as Cesar Faison. He is such an incredible actor. Bravo for FV and RC for keeping this and the return of Tristan Rogers as the spy from Down Under, Robert Scorpio. I just love the way Tristan talks. He is HOT!!!!!!!!!!

Susan, dont worry. Im a minority and I LOVE GH!!

I like Faison too…like to see Faison, Dr.O, their daughter Britt and baby Ben/little Ceaser get together for the Christmas holiday…can you imagine what that would be like…especially with Britts mutter at the piano signing a holiday song?

Ben is probably not their child. JMO

Jim,
That will happen when you know what freezes over!!!!! Good concept though. In the preview, Anders’ hair is longer and he looks more like a aged rock star. I love men with longer hair.
Susan

meant singing

You are not in a minority… Susan. I am looking forward to seeing Anders/Faison again too! He’s a great villian… but it also means we will see more of Anna, Robert, Dr. O, possibly Helena too, Luke, Tracy, Robin, Mac, Patrick and others and that is even better!!! Anders has such a way with the character of Faison… he is very intriquing while being cerebally villianous and creepy. He is border line campy and yet very lethal. He is fascinating to watch and you really never know what to expect. There is a lot going on behind his faces and it’s fun to watch!!! He also really loves Anna and it will be his downfall… so much fun to watch him!!!

What could happen if Faison and Dr. O would find themselves locked in a Cassadine dungeon together… sort of like Luke and Tracy were awhile back… who would last that incareration?

I’ve always thought that Dr. O and Faison was a one way relationship… she worships him, he actually has no interest in her… sorta thought that maybe Britt isn’t even their bio child (like mother, like daughter), so in my mind if Faison and Dr. O were trapped together somewhere, I figure he’d kill her. 🙂

Your right he does look like an aged rock star…as for my Christmas idea i still wouldve loved it if it was a dream Britt had but i know it wont happen…p.s. i have long hair too but i look like something out of a horror movie than an aged rock star…lol

I’m excited to see Robert back. Best part of the whole story for me. I hope we see more of him and not sitting in a hospital bed.

Me too… Katee!! When will they figure out if they had Robert back for awhile with Anna in any story the ratings would continue to grow and grow!!

Ohh geez .
I laugh my ass off, from the vision of Faison and Dr. O in bed having sex haaa haa!

I would give my kingdom to see a created flashback of them doing the nasty LOL ..
can ya even imagine it !!

and- Dr. O pregnant with Britt lol

As fervid a fan that I am of the fierce, frosty fraulein, flashbacks of her getting freaky with Faison do not fuel my fantasies!!! Some things are just better left to the imagination…or not!!!!

I LOVE that Robert is back. I certainly hope he’s on for more than a brief moment. I want a storyline with him. He and Anna are so much fun to watch. Much better than the kiddies playing house at work, for sure.

Keep those vet stories coming! Bring Robin back home soon too, please.

JUST WHEN YOU THINK THE SHOW COULDN’T GET ANY BETTER.You get todays show Wednesday 10/9. A show written for and about twelve year olds. They may not actually be 12 but they certainly act it. I shake my head, turn my back on the tv and go on the computer. I watched to see The Scorpio”s,any of them what did we get. Lets play jealous
and lets fight over a baby. They dragged that out so long I personally don’t care who keeps the baby. Just whose idea is it to keep RoHo. I see only Todd, then Todd playing I don’t care. the teens are teens the stupid stuff they are doing I can sort of see, but the rest No Thanks. I liked Sam and Silas but we know it won’t last, So get on with it. Oh yes just do it! Let Luke die. He is done stick a fork in him he is done. he doesn’t want his family, he wants adventures??? Come on Roberts back, Anna needs to man up and find their daughter. I don’t want to see anyone except Robins parents find Robin. If they want to allow Patrick to help fine. Thanks god Jason is GONE or we know what would have happened and I would have shut the show off, and missed the reunion. Loved Robin smacking Dr O in the head and calling JJ’s buff. Again Kill luke who cares? Does RC ruine the good days wih the awful ones on purpose or is he to dumb to know what the fans want. ????

quote janet;
” Does RC ruine the good days wih the awful ones on purpose or is he to dumb to know what the fans want. ????”

RC knows what the fans want..
He has to give to ”both sides/opinions/wants” ,, and all those in-between..,,
it is not all about me me me or you you you ..
I do not like nor want many thing you have put above, so RC has to please me also by doing the opposite as what you want 🙂 ..
RC is doping a great job to pleasing everyone, and that is a not easily done.

He is done stick a fork in him he is done.

LOL. Hillarious.

Luke is definitely done in the romance department…. at least when it comes to Laura…. the age difference… and or when you look at the two of them.. is just too vast… far out their.. to comprehend….

Yes… Luke and Tracy are still viable… and a commodiity… that GH fans clamor for… so…

I do have to hand it to Tony Geary…. (at least, consider, letting go the emmy nominations) what with, 4 soaps left… to contend…. let’s pass around the awards for the time being

he’ll always be in contention… a valuable asset in the interim. it’s just too bad… that none of his kids are around… and I mean this unfortunately… since he was electric with Julie Berman…

alas, it’s just Luke and Tracy….

I don’t think it’s fair to Tracy… that she mixes with just Luke… and i mean this with all due respect… I can’t help but recall… when Edward was passing… and or/was it the time of the water poisoning… that she told herself… that if she has to wait a life time for true love……

I honestly believed she found true love in Joe, Scully jr. – so… what do I know… I just know.. I was so happy to see Tracy “IN LOVE”

didn’t it seem that way to you… and he died on her sofa

GH WAS GOOD TODAY!!!!

SAM+SILAS

WAS INTRESTING THE REST SO-SO

Sam and Silas awkward at best. Something is off with them and Easton especially. Just not feeling them.

I think they were purposely playing it that way….their chemistry has been previously palpable, like during the “impromptu picnic” and other emotional hospital scenes. It seemed as though ME and KM were aiming for a sort of lighthearted, goofy, awkward vibe….Sam and Silas are finally able to let down their guard, get to know one another and start relaxing after all the heavy stuff with Rafe and Danny…but, it turned out to be an off-night for them. I found that to be very realistic, cute and refreshing.

I got chills watching that. I love all the old characters that are back. It’s like the good old days of GH! Can’t wait to see Anna go after Obrecht when she finds out Robin is alive. Don’t mess with Anna Devane!

Mark consuelo would make a good Dante. He played Mateo on All my children many years ago. I’ll miss the old Dante. So sorry he’s leaving. Mark Consuelo is a really good actor and I can see him as the new Dante. Please consider him. He has that dark hair like Sonny. He could pass for his son.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

on

By

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
