GENERAL HOSPITAL: ‘Who Shot Drew?’ The List of Possible Assailants is Endless
This week, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) finally gets what’s coming to him with a bullet to the back, as the list of suspects grew and grew over the last several weeks and months.
In the latest General Hospital promo for the episodes airing September 2- September 5, Drew is walking around in the dark (it what also appears to have been a rainy night from the look of drenched wet hair on some of the suspects) having a drink, when someone fires a shot.
Anna (Finola Hughes) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) are talking with sirens in the background about who could possibly have wanted to take Drew out. She asks Dante, “How many people do you think want Drew Cain dead?” To which, he responds, “That’s a long list.” Anna inquisitively asks, “Who’s at the top?”

Next, flashes of the possible assailants for attempted murder or murder are shown including: Portia (Brook Kerr), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Curtis (Donnell Turner), Michael (Rory Gibson), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina (Cynthia Watros). But as GH fans know, there were several other people who made threats against the despicable congressman including, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), Carly (Laura Wright), Martin (Michael E. Knight), and what about Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Marco (Adrian Anchondo) in all of this?

Michael Fairman TV previously posted the GH spoilers for the week and take note that on today’s September 2 episode, a shocking act of violence occurs, on Wednesday’s September 3 episode, Anna and Dante respond to a 411 call. Then on Thursday, September 4, news of a crime sends shockwaves through Port Charles as Anna and Chase interview suspects.
Check out the “Who Shot Drew?” promo teaser below.
Now weigh-in, who do you think will turn out to be the prime suspect and who do you think will turn out to be the culprit? Share your theories via the comment section.
Kai. I think it will be Kai.
Well… clearly it was not Kai.
A better question, who wouldn’t want Drew dead?
It would be a shorter list if you asked how many mortals in Port Charles did NOT want to send Drew to Hell!
Wouldn’t it be a huge twist if it was Sam back from the dead. How about Kai who is suddenly realizing every bad thing he heard about Drew was true. Just throwing out some crazy scenarios.
Or Dex who didn’t really die, and came back to play hero.
Yes but Dex’s got nothing to do with Drew.
She will never grasp that concept so bless her heart.
Sorry to break it to Conor, but in soap land it’s worse than death for Dex. It’s like he never existed.
Time to move on to another meaningless character.
Conor, you would have to at least one current character to mention Dex, which just has not happened. You are going to be satisfied with the life size poster of him on your wall.
There’s a poster?
Oh please let him be dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My top choices for having done the honors are Willow, Portia and Nina. Of course, it could be the former football guy. Doesn’t matter who did it. Just please let him be dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! None of this grazed or in a coma stuff. This demon needs to be taken out permanently.
That’s an insult to demons!
As is your tired shtick
I don’t think he’s dead. As I commented on another Michael Fairman piece, this will be akin to the Who-Shot-JR storyline.
Look at the shadow in the scene. It looks like willow’s haircut but that could be a red herring
Funny, I wad trying to figure out who’s shadow that was too. Kai and Trina are ruled out as the shooter.
Monica did it, then she passed away.
I’d like to think Lealie Charleson even got a chuckle out of that too
Not funny. First of all, she wouldn’t do anything to hurt Scout.
Second, in order to have a whodunnit work, you have to eventually show the culprit.
That is quite possible. The shadow did not have long hair.
Shadow maybe wearing a short wig to fool people
Lighten up people it’s a soap opera.
Is NOT!
You’re clutching your pearls over horseshit again.
Hey ! Harry has great comments and thoughts on the show. No need to be so rude if you truly enjoy GH
Thanks GH Fan. Much appreciated I guess Michael didn’t get my joke.
I thought it was obvious I was kidding with my “ Is Not!” response to your reminder that it’s just a soap. Next time I will write a LOL to signal that yes, I am kidding. Folks are just having some fun playing a game of Clue. It seems to me that you’re the one clutching pearls with that unnecessary admonishment. In other words, lighten up Michael, it’s just a soap. LOL.
It’s hard to interpret tone and jokes over joke through an open forum. I will admit I was wrong to get defensive.
It’s hard to interpret tone and jokes through chat on an open forum. I need to do better and not get so easily defensive.
I did it.
Shhhhhh!!!! I won’t tell!!!! Thank you!!!!! Please don’t let him be in a coma!!!
I have a feeling it’s going to be a disposable character like Collette or Ezra. I doubt it’ll be any of the major characters, unless they’re going a D.I.D. route with Willow by having her alter shoot Drew. I also don’t think this will be his demise; as much as we all dislike the character, he’s a good villain to have around causing chaos.
I think it’s Selina Woo
I just hope he really is dead and stays that way!
Looks like Michael’s coat
Maybe Monica or michael
Jason Morgan will solve the case.
Their twins, do you think Jason felt the bullets that were shot at his “beloved” brother?
These days, I think Jason loves AJ a lot more!
I was referring to a recent Instagram post where Steve Burton said he solves all the crime in Port Charles
I want it to be Ava, helping her friend Nina. Or maybe she went to Sonny for help with her financial woes and her Ric problem, confided in him about hers and Rick’s shenanigans and how his daughter Kristina and Alexis are now involved, and he agreed to help her out in exchange for her assistance in offing Drew.
Is this “Dallas”, or “General Hospital”.
In a perfect world, it would be Sam. I would likely pass away from shock.
Well, as long as they’re doing a Dallas ripoff, I could always parole Sam from Hell, so she could step out of the shower.
Hopefully to tell us that everything since February 2012 has been one long bad dream.
Please, can’t we go back even further, to, say, 1994 or so? I’d pay good money to have someone (Laura, maybe?) wake up and report she had a terrible dream in which the mob took over Port Charles.
Sadly, unlike Cher, we cannot turn back time.
Have there been some rough (sometimes lengthy) patches over the past decades – absolutely.
JFP overemphasized the mob and killed off too many legacy characters.
The short period between Jill and Frank was painful.
FV started off strong then has bumps toward the end of Ron’s HW and C&D’s continued support of the Peter debacle. Throw in some far-fetched retcons along the way as well.
The show, now, is cooking on most burners. We are supposed to hate Drew. CM has surprised many with his take on villainy.
The mob, while still relevant, doesn’t dominate as the show is more balanced. The Q’s have multiple stories and Tracy is written/positioned perfectly. Recent recasts have reinvigorated legacy characters. Are there still issues (i.e. figure out what to do with Laura)? Sure.
Is it perfect? No, but it could a lot worse.
Not perfect but still a love I come home too 5 days a week.. goes well with dinner too!
In Hell’s Kitchen, the prep work for Drew’s dragon chow is being paused. So, the chef’s special for tonight will be grilled cloven hooves served on a top a pile of Helluccini with Alfredo sauce. Underwood Devil’s Ham finger sandwiches will be served but on the other horn, Deviled Eggs tea sandwiches will also be served. For dessert, there will be Devil’s Food Cake. Help me. I can’t stop. I’m in a hell of my own making. Love the irony of Satan being stuck in purgatory.
Egad. Can’t you just shtick stick to commenting on the shows.
You generally have some good insights but I’m sure there’s a lot of readers who disvalue them because of all the other crap.
I don’t know who in Hell’s name wrote that, but it wasn’t me.
Grilled cloven hooves?? And what is “Hellucini”??
And just for the record… I never liked eggs. Deviled or otherwise.
Maybe you were right a few weeks back when you said I should post as “OG Satan” due to all the troll fake posts at the time, though none of them were imitating my Most Unholy Self at that point.
Well, you know what they say about imitation, right?
— The One and only– Sidwell (spelling?) — is the murder..
Or will this be another–” Drew , he ain’t dead”
I bet the island on Sidwell–
Real Drew shot fake Drew.
Oh I like that idea.
Real Drew is sadly no longer available to shoot anybody.
I think Willow shot him

Kelly Sullivan Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’s’ Maura West Recalling When Ava Shot Connie (Exclusive)

It was just over 13 years ago on General Hospital when Ava Jerome (Maura West) shot and killed Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in an effort to keep her quiet from revealing that Derek Wells was actually Ava’s back-from-the-dead brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry). It’s a crime that somehow Ava never has quite paid for either.
The episode back aired on August 13, 2013 and viewers had to say goodbye to Kelly Sullivan who played Kate and her alter, Connie. In the story, just before she died, Kate/Connie scrawled the letters AJ in her own blood, initially making the PCPD and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) think that it was AJ Quatermaine (Sean Kanan) who did the deed.
Now, Sullivan recalled sharing scenes with the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning West, during a live conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel. Kelly was the special guest talking about her recent return to the soaps in her new role as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Darcy Dylan.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF MAURA WEST
Speaking of her final GH scenes and working with Maura West, Sullivan gave her then GH co-star major props. “If you’re going to be shot by somebody (on the soaps), you want to be shot by Maura West, c’mon!”
Maura West debuted back in May 2013 as Ava, and Sullivan remembered when the As the World Turns favorite began on GH. “I remember when Maura West first arrived at GH. She walked in with this cute little bob (hairdo) and she’s just delicious,” shared Sullivan.
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
Kelly revealed more about Maura, adding “I think she’s amazing! I remember right before I left the show, someone suggested, and I would still love to do this with her, if she ever want to, but someone suggested that they wanted to direct the stage play A Streetcar Named Desire with Maura and I, where I would play Stella and she would play Blanche! Wouldn’t that be great?”
Speaking of the Ava/Connie showdown scenes, Sullivan expressed, “On television and on General Hospital specifically, Maura West is able to play a character who does the most horrendous things and you still care about her and that’s the mark of a really great actor. In other words, you’re able to be liked in the midst of the most horrendous things, and as a performer not shying away from that, and to just have the courage to do what’s on the page (in the script).”

KELLY SULLIVAN PARTING THOUGHTS AS SHE LEFT GENERAL HOSPITAL
Kelly also shared her sentiments when she walked off the set of General Hospital after her run back in August of 2013. “I really was honored. Every day I would go to work and I would say a little prayer, which is I want to do justice for my character, explained Kelly. “It’s between me and my character. I get to walk this path with her and to leave the show on that note, which is, I left every out there. I just gave it my all and again what an honor it was to play Kate/Connie.”
You can catch the full conversation with Kelly where she talks about her time on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner and now The Bold and the Beautiful below.
So, do you remember the Ava and Connie scenes where Ava shot and killed her? What did you think of Kelly Sullivan’s sentiments about Maura West? Share your thoughts via the comment section. But first, watch the reveal where Ava recalls murdering Connie below!

Steve Burton Reportedly Signs Three-Year Contract with ‘General Hospital’

The question of will Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) stay awhile at General Hospital after his recent extended hiatus from the show earlier this year, has reportedly been answered.
TMZ via court documents obtained in Burton’s ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Sheree Gustin, shared that Steve actually inked a new three year deal with the ABC soap opera back in June.
That is significant because it was June when Burton returned back to work as Jason. In addition, the court filing confirmed that Burton had already moved back to California from Tennessee.

STEVE’S HIATUS AND HIS RETURN TO PORT CHARLES
GH fans will recall, it was back in February of 2026, that Burton announced via his Instagram that he was stepping away from his role of Jason Morgan for short break and pointed to wanting to spend quality time with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom Burton with whom he tied the knot back on May 17, 2025.
Steve expressed at that time, “I’m newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.” It was back on March 25 that viewers saw Jason carted away by the WSB after taking the fall for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) who shot then WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Burton returned to work on June 1, and due to General Hospital taping roughly six weeks ahead of air, made his on-screen comeback on the July 13 episode.
GOING FOR GOLD AT THE UPCOMING DAYTIME EMMYS
Then, Steve and his enduring fans got an extra special treat on the same day, when it was revealed on Extra that he was nominated for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.
Steve previously won in the Supporting Actor category for his work as General Hospital’s Jason in 1998 and as The Young and the Restless’ Dylan McAvoy in 2018.
Now with Jason and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship seemingly hitting the skids, plus Jason’s commitment to staying out of mob life to focus on being present for his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), what does the future hold for the fan favorite character? Stay tuned.
So, happy to hear that Steve Burton signed a new three year deal with General Hospital? Knowing that, what storyline would you like to see Jason get involved and with who? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason and Britt Reach an Impasse; Is This the End of Their Relationship?

On the Friday, September 11 episode of General Hospital, Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship becomes strained to potentially the point of no return.
Things take a turn when an unglued Britt having been traumatized by almost being killed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) asks Jason to back her up with the PCPD when she reports Anna for attempted murder.
However, Jason told Britt, he can’t. Jason shares that he does not believe Anna would have gone through with shooting her. Therefore, Britt was not in any real imminent danger. Britt is flabbergasted and hurt that Jason is refusing to tell the police what he actually witnessed for himself on Mount Emerson.

BRITT WANTS BACK UP FROM JASON
Jason counters that he can’t believe that Britt would want Anna punished. or sent to prison, or a mental facility after the trauma she endured while being locked up and mentally tortured while at Wyndemere.
He asks Britt, “How could you even say that you want her locked up or prosecuted for what she did when you knew she was being held prisoner and you did nothing to save her?” Britt is stunned by Jason’s response.
Coming up, official General Hospital spoilers share that on the upcoming Monday, September 14 episode, Jason confides in Carly (Laura Wright), while Britt is stung. In the video preview that aired at the end of the Friday, September 11 episode for this coming Monday, Britt says to Jason, “You don’t believe me. Do you?”
General Hospital head scribes, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte previously teased in their fall preview of the soap, “Britt and Jason have come a long way and fought a lot of enemies to be together. But the most stubborn obstacle to their happiness isn’t without, it’s within. Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”
So, what do you think will happen? Will Jason and Britt break-up over Britt’s lies and Jason’s unwillingness to report Anna’s crime against her? Do you want Jason and Britt to go their separate ways? If they do, will Britt become romantically involved with Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) ? If so, who do you pair Jason with? Anyone? Weigh-in via the comment section.
