GENERAL HOSPITAL: Viewers Speculate on Significance of Final Shot of Episode Panning to Photo of Morgan and Michael (Bryan Craig & Chad Duell)
While Sonny (Maurice Benard) is in desperate need of heart surgery (which he keeps putting off while his family is in danger) things take a turn, when on the Thursday, March 27 episode of General Hospital, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) comes to Sonny’s office to give him much needed intel on who might be the person responsible for the bomb planted in Sonny’s penthouse that set Michael ablaze.
Brick informs Sonny and Jason (Steve Burton), he has a lead on a guy named “Soliski” who is an ex-intelligence guy and a contract killer. Sonny says that this must be Valentin’s connection to the whole job. However, Brick says the only way to hire “Soliski” is through the dark web.
Next, Brick reveals he tracked the guy down to Toronto. Jason offers to go ASAP on Sonny’s plane and take care of the guy. However, Brick warns Jason that even if he can locate him, “Soliski” is very dangerous. After Brick leaves. Sonny insists to Jason that he’s going with him to Toronto.

Jason tells Sonny he needs to stay here and he reminds the mob boss that “Soliski” is just the middleman, and they still need to know who hired him. Being stubborn as usual, Sonny grabs his gun, and says “I won’t let him or anyone else come after my family again.”
It’s at that moment that the two men head out. However, the camera does an intentional pan and push-in to a photo of Michael and Morgan on Sonny’s desk as played by Bryan Craig and Chad Duell as the episode comes to its conclusion. After it aired, many viewers were trying to figure out if that moment had major significance, since we rarely see the ABC soap opera use a photo of Craig and Duell within a scene.
Earlier in the week, Sonny threw down on Ava (Maura West) in an argument and mentioned that she was responsible for killing Morgan (as well as Connie Falconeri). Meanwhile, Michael is off the canvas after Chad Duell’s decision to take a break from the show after 15 years.

Courtesy/ABC
Some fans were pondering if Brennan (Chris McKenna) has had Morgan all this time, and made him an WSB agent and that perhaps he will somehow be reunited with Josslyn (Eden McCoy) since she is training to be an WSB agent? Others are wondering who could this “Soliski” be working for? Is it Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota)? And what of the mysterious stranger, Marco (Adrian Anchondo)? Could he be more involved in what happened to Michael at Sonny’s penthouse more than we know?
Now below, what were your initial thoughts when you saw the camera pan to a photo of Morgan and Michael on Sonny’s desk at the end of yesterday’s GH? Do you think it has some story significance that the soap is foreshadowing, or is it just supposed to be a moment that is tied to Sonny getting revenge for his family and those who have been injured or lost to him because of all of his enemies? Share your theories via the comment section.
Sometimes a picture is just a picture and not worth a 1000 words. Why wouldn’t Sonny have a picture of his sons on his desk? Certainly he has one of all his daughters too.
Why wasn’t Dante in the pic
Pic was taken b4 sonny knew bout Dante cuz he didn’t knw Dante was even his son til sonny shot Dante & that’s when he found out bout dante
Michael and Morgan were younger when Sonny found out about Dante.
That picture was taken well after Sonny learned about Dante. Morgan and Michael are adults in that picture. Sonny and Dante have known anybody each other since Michael and Morgan were kids.
thats A lie Morgan was still young when sonny found out about Dante so your comment makes no sense. The actor Bryan wasn’t even on the show to play Morgan yet. But Dante doesn’t have to be in every photo with his brothers.
Morgan & Michael were much younger when Sonny found out about Dante….
That picture was taken before he knew Dante was his son
No it was not, Kathy. When Shoot-First-Ask-Questions- Later-Sonny shot Dante, Michael was an adolescent and Morgan was a little boy.
Because it’s a clue morgan is coming back
The hitman’s name is Solisky not Zelinsky.
Ahh ok. My comment does not mention a hitman or his name… but good to know. Thanks
Why did they address that to you? I swear some folks are addicted to correcting even when there is nothing to correct.
True, the fact that it’s the two sons that were directly impacted because of his Mob ties and there wasn’t a group pic of all his children, leads you to believe there’s more to it.
I think they showed the picture because both sons are either dead (Morgan) or hurt (Michael) because of Sonny. He does not want to have the surgery until the threat to his family is resolved.
My 1st thought Morgan is coming back
Morgan is not dead because of Sonny. Ava switched his medication for placebos which caused him to have a manic episode. As a result he stole Julian Jerome’s car not knowing that Olivia Jerome had someone plant a bomb in it. Bomb exploded and Morgan’s body was never found. Basically Morgan is dead because of the Jerome family, not Sonny.
Exactly!! Sonny is everyone’s scape goat but not everything is his fault.
Not a direct connection to Sonny but it’s a “connection” because it was a mob hit gone wrong. Morgan was at the wrong place at the wrong time, but it was mob related…
Chills. Can’t wait for Morgan to come back… He’s probably the bad guy like when Dante came to town. Going to be awesome if ❤️
I agree
Dante was an undercover cop.
Oh I can wait for Morgan to come back. Never could stand that guy.
My sentiments, exactly!
I never liked Morgan
Yep. Morgan can stay in the file marked,” Characters who can stay dead” and he can be filed between Courtney and Sabrina. Please don’t bring him back but if they must, they should recast.
Really? I have been waiting years for his return.
That’s what I was thinking! That would be bad, but good!
Agree. I’ve been watching Bryan Craig’s x account for hints.
I think Morgan has been in the same facility where Michael is. Probably by the WSB and perhaps he has become a WSB agent to repay them.
Marco is Sidwell and Natalia’s son.
I think Nikolas needs to be freed already so we can find some Cassadine action. Johnny Zacharra should come back too.
If Morgan came back, I would hope it would be to assist Sonny and to take Ava out for all the drama she’s inflicting on the Corinthos family.
I think Jerry Jaxs is after Sonny. Makes sense since his brother hated Sonny too.
I thought the picture was chilling. Maybe it will turn into a really good story. I hope the boys are coming back. And soon. And bring back the Cassadine’s.
No.
I do believe I read somewhere Jerry Jax was coming back.
No hes on a new series.
That’s an interesting idea
I honestly think the reason why they showed that that picture of Morgan and Michael is because The viewers are basically being reminded of what Sonny’s world has done to them. I mean, if you think Michael was shot with a bullet that was meant for Sunny and then Morgan died in a car bombing that was meant for sunny so you’re starting to see a pattern here.
Good point. I agree with you
Bomb that got Morgan was meant for Julian, put there by Olivia Jerome.
Bomb wasn’t meant for Sonny.
The car bomb was meant for Julian Jerome, it had nothing to do with Sonny.
Ohhhhh, I wasn’t thinking this but, yes!
How can a bomb intended for Sonny that went off on Michael not be the same as a bomb that went off and killed Morgan that was meant forJulian?
Either way, it’s the two of his kids that have been hurt as a result of Sonny and his surrounding situations. Michael was also in a coma for years because of being in Sonny’s family circle/space.
I love Sonny, but sadly, being close to him doesn’t come without consequences.
Car bomb was meant for Julian Jerome not Sonny.
I think Diane’s comment about needing to add an attorney to the practice with her and Alexis could be maybe Marco at some point
100% thought the same thing. Sets up a love triangle between Marco, Lucas and Brad
Maybe zelinsky is morgan! He survived the explosion and maybe has memory problems and someone hired him to take out sony without realizing he is his father.
No… I es too old
I believe Michael character will come back, but he will be the old Morgan (Craig)
You believe Michael will be Morgan? You mean the actor that played Morgan will now play Michael? Because Michael would ask the clinic to reconstruct his face to look exactly like his dead brother? Time for a psych evaluation.
You really think so? I heard things about a new Michael but that was somebody from a different show
Maybe it’s Morgan…seeking revenge on Sonny for his dangerous lifestyle
I think they’re going to bring Morgan Corenthos back to the show. I really hope I’m right
If Morgan is coming back, I think he’s the hired hit man. He could be “Zelinsky”.
Except that Zelinsky was shown yesterday and was definitely not Morgan.
Morgan is the person planted the bomb seeing him gonna be a shock but can’t kill him gone be fire seeing him .
Bring back Micheal,Morgan ,Valentin, get rid of Drew & Willow
Get rid of Drew and willow she’s
pathetic
I‘d hate to see Cameron Mathison go, so… I REALLY hope they give the character the smack down he needs but then find a way to redeem him WITHOUT taking him all the way back to the boring, pre-prison boyscout version of Drew.
But I agree with getting rid of Willow…she is beyond pathetic and always has been. The writers should send Willow and Nina off on a shopping trip from which they BOTH never return.
I agree with you. I heard a theory that Drew is really Shiloh and he has Drew locked up somewhere. That would explain his ridiculous behavior. I actually really liked him with Carly. They had a playfulness and a twinkle we haven’t seen in a couple in a long time
Drew is not Shiloh. Shiloh is still a dragon stable cleaner down here in Hell.
You really shouldn’t spread rumors started by Chinese bots on shady YouTube channels.
No I love Ava
Me too! Ava is reacting to the things that have been to her
Ava is a jealous, conniving, bitch that will do whatever it takes to get whatever she wants, no matter what. All in the guise of doing it for her daughter. How any man could find her the least bit attractive is beyond me, she plays her part well.
I love Ava and I loved when they were hinting at a Sonny/Ava pairing. They could have been such a power couple. Kristina needs an intervention and she needs to stop blaming Ava. If she had never gone to her house like Molly told her not to, then the baby would still be alive. I also hate that TJ is gone and nowhere to be seen and that he and Molly broke up. So ridiculous
No way Zelinski could be Morgan. Nobody changes that much! But it would be great to have both of the brothers back on the show.
Morgan is where Michael is
I hope they both come back.
Perhaps the target actually was Michael and Drew planted it
No, let him stay dead. Morgan is a toxic character
I agree
I Agree with you 100% Morgan was childish & had no clue what he was doing. His lack of common sense usually gets people killed in organized crime.
Morgan was more dangerous than a hit man, He acted out of spite.
Sonny didn’t do things like that, because it’s
Not mob business, it’s a personal vendetta!
I wish somehow Anthony Geary would come back
Morgan was only “dangerous” because Ava tampered with his medication.
I hope the showing of the picture is foreshadowing the return of both Michael and Morgan. I agree with the person that commented maybe Ava will finally be taken down if Morgan returns, one can only hope. She is a complex character and I have both loved and hated her, but since the incident with Kristina, I hate seeing her. Also, bringing both Michael and Morgan back would be great for Kristina since she is so lost right now. I know people hate her, but I see her pain and I feel that having her brothers back would really redeem her. I’m also hoping they will bring back both Sam and Dex and just have them working with Brennan to catch Cyrus. Just my thoughts, I wish I could write some storylines for the writers because we are not getting the best stories right now. However, every one of the actors/actresses are doing a phenomenal job with the material they are given.
Selensky is working for Morgan. Morgan somehow survived the explosion, probably lost his memory and whoever found him, convinced him that Sonny try to kill him and he’s been recovering and preparing himself to get revenge in his father. Once he “almost” kills his father, with Jason’s help, he starts to get his memory back and realizes what he did. Eventually, he’ll end up being Sonny’s replacement when Sonny retires. Those are my thoughts.
YES!! That’s pretty much what I said. It would be easy to convince him cause he was off his meds and mad at everyone but especially Sonny, not cause Sonny was bad to him or is a bad guy. Morgan’s Bipolor came from Sonny and when he’s off his meds he doesn’t think rationally so it would be easy to convince him Sonny hates him.
I think. Morgan may return to the show briefly, as a Spirit. If they bring him (the. actor back) he will likely be another character who looks like Morgan
I don’t believe in coincidence. General Hospital must have something in mind, to focus on a picture like that. These soap opera producers, writers and directors are sneaky, so watch out!
Can somebody please put Lulu back to sleep.
Ugh! I always loved her character! Especially, the teenage version of her. I can’t think of the actress, but the one who initially met Spinelli.
I can’t stand this personality they gave the new one. the actress is doing a great job portraying her but it’s still a no.
I’m sorry, but I have to agree with putting her back to sleep. She can’t seem to just be happy that she’s alive, awake again & has her kids all back; she keeps sticking her nose in everybody else’s business where it doesn’t belong, causing trouble. They had Sam die to bring this annoying witch on the canvas…??? Huge mistake. HUGE!!! Put the little witch back to sleep. They should’ve brought back the last actress that was playing her. Do not know WTH they were thinking. Ugh…. After Dante having been so in love with Sam, it will be insulting to her memory if he gets back with this nasty little Lulu. She’s like a whiny kid compared to the mature & selfless nature of Sam. Been a fan for years, but that is about to make me sincerely rethink that…. Can’t even comment on the Drew & Willow fiasco… GH, get a grip…. Fix your mistakes before you lose your fan base.
Perhaps Drew is behind it….
Morgan died in a car explosion and Michael almost died in the explosion at Sonny’s penthouse! They’re going after the ones responsible for hurting Michael! They already know that Morgan was killed by Olivia Jerome trying to kill her brother Julian and unfortunately Morgan was the one she killed. That’s the connection for showing the picture!
Marco will be Sidwell and Natalia son.
I think its Morgan who did it. Wasn’t planning on his brother being there just wanted to get his dad.
The last thing GH needs is another Corinthos. Bring back Cam and Jake instead.
I believe they’re both coming back and that Morgan is Soliski
My first thought was that Morgan ordered the hit on Sonny. I think it’s just years of watching soap operas. The bad guy is the one you least expect.
Several thoughts…
1. Two words…Julian Jerome. A long while back they hinted that he might still be alive, possibly with Oscar’s mom (in New York?).
2. Marco is probably Sidwell’s son, and likely Natalia is mom. Maybe Blaze’s twin?
3. Jos makes a terrible WSB agent, so that storyline is blah for me. So is Molly and ex TJ. Writers should have let the baby be born, do all the drama, then find out the father was someone else, like…Marco? Two people who wouldn’t likely have relations, but had a drunk night.
Julian is still here in Hell, last time I checked. He has escaped twice before, but we have made serious security upgrades since then.
Perhaps because the role of Michael, and maybe even Morgan, are being recast and it was a final ode to the two actors. ♀️
I think Morgan hired Solinsky! He was off his meds when the car exploded and so angry at everyone, especially Sonny. If an enemy of Sonny’s got to Morgan and he didn’t die they control any info he has about Sonny so who knows how he feels about his dad. I’m sure he didn’t mean for Michael to be hurt. Sonny is going after the person who hurt one son, only to find out that person is his other son.
Morgan has lost his memory, the WSB took him and made him a mean lean contract killer!
If so it is going to be the 2 actors that are pictured there. If they were gonna recast they would not have shown that picture.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI
FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
