GENERAL HOSPITAL: Who is Hudson in Cahoots With After Revealing Phone Call?

The mysterious Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) is clearly in collusion with someone as witnessed on the Tuesday, August 24 episode of General Hospital.

Since Troy Lennon Appel made his debut on the soap on July 30, we already know he “appears” to be the true biological father of baby Phoebe, and is quite the bad dude after roughing up Ethan in Norway.

Now in Port Charles, claiming he is there for JJE (Jasper Jacks Enterprises) business, and with the edict to contact Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and let her know her father named her the CEO of his company while he is “sailing” abroad, he was initially met with resistance when Josslyn refused to accept the job.

I’VE CHANGED MY MIND

However, after a recent turn of events, where Brennan (Chris McKenna) told Josslyn, the WSB has her next assignment, and it is to find out what’s going on with her father’s company, they demanded her to accept the CEO position. Now Josslyn is caught and has to back-petal after initially telling Hudson to bring her qualified candidates and she would pick one as her replacement.

In all-new episodes, while at the Quartermaine boathouse, Josslyn informed Hudson that she was now taking the CEO position. Josslyn cited that she realized she wanted to honor her father’s wishes and uphold his legacy.

Hudson is stunned and tries to dissuade her, and is quite suspicious over her sudden change of heart. Realizing no matter what he said Josslyn was not backing down, Hudson says he hadn’t been on board with Jax’s decision to give the company to Josslyn, but now he could see that maybe he’d  been wrong about her.

HUDSON HAS A PROBLEM

Josslyn says failing herself, or her father, isn’t an option and when she commits to something she goes all in. She tells Hudson that she would appreciate his support. Hudson says she has it, as she turns to walk away after dropping her bombshell decision on him.

Next, a very pissed off Hudson, picks up his phone and makes a call to someone and tells them that Josslyn took the job. He intimates that this is bad news and will screw up their plans. He tells the person on the other end that he is going to make her change her mind!

So, where is this leading? Who could Hudson be working with on the inside and who did he call? How do you see General Hospital weaving in Josslyn taking over JJE as their new WSB mystery story? Put your creative hats on and let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

But first, check out the GH teaser below for today’s Wednesday, August 26 episode below, where Josslyn tells her mother, Carly to accept her decision of either taking the job at JJE or staying with the WSB!

It’s been too long since we’ve seen Jerry Jax. The way they’ve structured this story, he could appear without needed Jasper to return.

Jerry Jax is a very good guess and a great possibility. With his high stakes criminal past, the WSB would definitely be interest in his actions. But, at some point in the story, I hope there is a recast and we get to see Jasper Jax again. I wasn’t watching when the trouble with Ingo went down. I don’t know how they ushered Jasper off canvas. It’s definitely time for him to return.

In the long run, I am very much in favor of Josslyn remaining with the WSB. She is very smart and resourceful. She thinks fast and is committed to the Bureau.

Jasper may eventually get recast, but only once all potential legal action has been completely dismissed.

Can I say Jerry Jax please?

Could it be that Hudson is reporting to his father, Jerry Jacks?

He seems to have that whole “mercenary douchebag villain for hire” vibe about him, just like Jerry did. Did Jax hire this guy to work at his company in an attempt to keep him on a legitimate path and NOT follow in Jerry’s footsteps? Or did Jax not even know this was his nephew… because Jerry definitely never mentioned having any kids before.

Port Charles is long overdue for another Jerry appearance, but he’s never been around without Jax himself being in town before. So either that policy is about to change, or there’s going to be a Jax recast. We all know what definitely is NOT happening, and that would be Ingo coming back. I’ll be running a ski resort down here before that ever happens.

Also, Brennan telling us that the WSB suddenly has interest in what’s going on with JJE, and that’s why Joss should accept daddy’s job offer and takeover the company. What would be more likely to get the WSB involved in a private company, than the possibility of an international fugitive terrorist like Jerry trying to take over the operation?

Don’t really care who Hudson is on the phone with, he’s another unnecessary new character, as far as I’m concerned.

If he’s talking to Jerry Jacks, as some others here have suggested as a possibility, that’s something that would pique my interest. The great Sebastian Roche hasn’t been on since 2015. And with Cullum dead and Sidwell in prison, they could definitely use another villain on the show. I never complain when one of the memorable villains from the past return.

And, I’m sure you agree that Peter is not one of those memorable villains. Not sure how long you’ve watched, but next to Jerry, the only other legacy villain I’d love to return is Grant Putnam.

If they bring back Grant Putnam, they should also bring back his doppelganger Grant Andrews. Who I believe is Yuri’s father. Maybe he and Celia moved back to the “old country” after the Cold War ended, which would explain why they both seemingly fell off the planet.

WOW!! To bring back those characters would be totally awesome!!

Absolutely agree with you on Parking Lot Peter. Can’t stand the current storyline with Anna hallucinating him, and what they’ve done to Anna as a character in general.

I started watching in the early 90s, so Grant Putnam was before my time. But I know the history of the show, so I know the name.

Most of the memorable villains I’m thinking of are all dead, “allegedly.” Part of me was hoping that Cesar Faison was still alive with the recent Cullum/Sidwell storyline, even though I know he’s come back from the dead more than anyone, so its kinda run its course at this point. We had to settle for the great Anders Hove recording some lines from Denmark, when they played Faison talking to Anna over the intercom.

I couldn’t agree more.

I think it’s Jerry Jax. Makes the most sense.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Did the ABC Soap Opera Just Tee Up a Jason and Serena Pairing?

Published

on

By

Jason and Serena

The Tuesday, October 6 episode of General Hospital kicked-off with Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) literally turned upside down and stuck on the Quartermaine roof in front of Jason (Steve Burton), who came to her rescue.

This marked the first time that Kelly Kruger and Steve Burton shared any substantial screen time together since Kruger debuted on the ABC soap opera back in July.

In story, Serena was trying to save the peregrine falcons’ nest that Tracy (Jane Elliot) wanted exterminated. Jason agreed to help Serena relocate the nest to the nature preserve. Said relocation would be put in the preserve adjacent to the property, think where Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) buried Brennan (Chris McKenna)!

Later, when they returned to the Quartermaine mansion, the two have more banter where Serena told Jason they should both check themselves for ticks. Serena has done a full body check in the bathroom, but then asks Jason to go through her hair and look for any signs of ticks. Clearly, one or both may have ticks prompting suspicion if they wind up at GH with Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) as their doctor who previously treated Ava for the tick stuck in her hair!

ROMANCE SWITCH-UPS

While initially General Hospital fans suspected that the character of Serena was being brought back to the canvas in the form of Kruger as a love interest for Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), in recent weeks and in admission by Tanisha Harper, it appears that GH is teasing a Michael and Jordan romance. The two have been spending more time together at Aurora, and Michael helped her get accepted into the burn clinic in Germany to treat her facial scars from the car accident.

Meanwhile, after Steve Burton returned to GH after his extended hiatus this June, it was clear that the writers were heading in the direction of a Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason break-up.

Eventually, a few weeks ago, the duo called it quits after Anna (Finola Hughes) tried to kill Britt, and Jason would not help Britt press charges against his friend, who was suffering from delusions after being mentally gaslighted by Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and company.

So, what did you think of the scenes between Jason and Serena on today’s GH? Do you think Kelly and Steve have on-screen chemistry that you would be open to be seeing how it plays out? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

Van Hansis Marks Two Years as ‘General Hospital’s’ Dr. Lucas Jones

Published

By

Van Hansis

It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since Van Hansis made his debut as the recast Lucas Jones on General Hospital. It was back on October 4, 2024 that GH fans got their first look at the former As the World Turns (ex-Luke Snyder) favorite in his new soap role.

Hansis became the fifth actor to play the role of the adoptive son of the late Bobbie Spencer and Tony Jones, and the biological son of the late Julian Jerome and Cheryl Stansbury. Prior to Van, C.J. Thomason (2002–2003), Ben Hogestyn (2005–2006) Ryan Carnes (2004–2005, 2014–2020, 2024) and Matt Trudeau (2020–2021) had played the part.

When Van left daytime after As the World Turns sadly went off the air in 2010, it would be 14 years until he stepped back into the updated frenetic pace and grind of acting on a daily soap opera.

LUCAS CAME HOME TO PORT CHARLES

Since Lucas has been back in Port Charles, he fell in love with the late Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) who was murdered, moved into a new apartment with his current roommate (soon to be love interest?) Joe Fitzpatrick as played by Jonathan Bennett, has become best buds with the “Britch” Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), and has found himself involved in multiple other storylines. However, now that Van is firmly implanted on GH, might Lucas get a leading storyline of his own? Stay tuned.

In the meantime, to acknowledge his two-year anniversary at General Hospital, Hansis shared via his Instagram a photo montage and some heartfelt “thank you’s’ and words. “Two years ago yesterday, Lucas Jones came home to Port Charles looking a little different. Looking exactly like me.” began Hansis.

“When I took on the role, I was told it would be a heavy recurring for a few months and then we’d see where it goes – being based in NYC at the time, I thought it would be a fun little gig that would bring me back to my old stomping grounds of daytime for a bit.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL HAS BEEN LIFE-CHANGING FOR VAN HANSIS

Next, the longtime New York-based actor confirmed he has now moved to Los Angeles as this new chapter of his life has unfolded, and how grateful he is that the show’s writers and producers have continually given more for Lucas to do.

Van explained, “But then they kept writing for me more and I fell in love with Lucas, and everyone around him (in front of and behind the camera). I wanted to stay a while and am so grateful I have. Being a part of GH these last two years has been life changing. Literally. My family and I are Angelenos now, I’ve made incredible new friendships and have been able to revisit old ones.”

The five-time Daytime Emmy-nominated actor concluded with, “Thank you Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH), thank you Mark (Teschner, casting director, GH), for inviting me to the party. You throw a great one. ”

So, happy to know Van is sticking around General Hospital for some time to come? What has been your favorite Lucas Jones moment over the first two years of Van’s run? Let us know via the comment section below.
