GENERAL HOSPITAL: Kristina Cuts the Brakes to Ric’s Car By Mistake and Puts His Life and Elizabeth’s in Jeopardy
On the Friday, March 28 cliffhanger of General Hospital, Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) rage gets the best of her after yet another showdown with Ava Jerome (Maura West), where the women go at each other for Kristina crashing through the window at the Metro Court hotel and losing the baby she was carrying.
Kristina still insists Ava pushed her, while Ava says the court rules it was an accident. The two women also go at it over Ava refusing to help Sonny (Maurice Benard) immediately when he was writhing on the floor with chest pains and needing his pill. That’s when Kristina came upon the scene and accused Ava of almost killing her father. Ric (Rick Hearst), who was at Ava’s, overhears the whole argument.
After Kristina leaves, she goes to the parking garage of Ava’s apartment building, and decides as a payback to cut the wires to the brakes of Ava’s car. Meanwhile, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) shows up at Ava’s to give Ric important papers she located to help Portia (Brook Kerr) get out from under the blackmail mess with Brad (Parry Shen) and Drew (Cameron Mathison).

Kristina heads to Charlie’s and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) asks where she’s been. Kristina says she had a huge fight with Ava and has sudden realization she made a terrible mistake. She rushes out to go fix it as Lucky chases after her. Now speeding in her car, Kristina tries to call Ava to warn her about the brakes she cut in her car, but Ava won’t take the call and sips on a martini instead.
That’s when the episode comes to its conclusion, and we see the license plate on the car that Kristina cut, and the camera pan up to reveals it’s Ric’s car and he has Elizabeth in the passenger seat. Ric is driving Liz home so she doesn’t have to take a ride share, and because Aiden has her car at the moment.

As the two talk about helping Portia, Liz tells Ric to slow down and when he tries to push the brakes, he can’t stop the car and we hear Liz screaming and the car veering off the road. This move by Kristina will prove costly in her relationship with her sister, Molly (Kristen Vaganos), with whom she just made up with. After all, Ric is Molly’s biological father and now he could be potentially injured. In official GH spoilers for the Monday, March 31st episode it shares that Molly receives devastating news!
In addition, Lucky and Liz were planning a trip to New York to rekindle their romance. What will happen if Lucky finds out it was Kristina who cut the brakes on the car in her vendetta against Ava that potentially injured Elizabeth? Stay tuned.
Now let us know, is it time for Kristina to get some mental help for not being able to accept the death of her baby? Will this be the moment she will realize how deeply-disturbed she is, or do you think Kristina had a right to tamper with Ava’s breaks given all the pain and suffering Ava has caused the Corinthos family? Will Kristina cover up what she did now for months to come? Share your theories via the comment section below.
Kristina needs a one way ticket to Shadybrook or Ferncliff.
Yes!! Is anyone else sick of Kristina and her many, many fuck ups? I am SO sick of her. All she does is bring drama
It must be tiring and boring portraying Kristina after a while. She never learns from her mistakes and gets worse every year. She’s like a reactive, temper tantrum-throwing teenager always. I would totally understand if Kate Mansi doesn’t want to stay at GH beyond her contract unless something (anything) changes for Kristina. Ava is a despicable character too, but at least her character is calculated and layered. Ava’s written the way villains should be written. Kristina is simply written to grate on our nerves.
Kristina is a liar, schemer , and her father’s child. She deserves every terrible thing that happens to her as all of the connivers on the show! Hopefully, she won’t be allowed to be sent to a mental hospital! Anyone who is in favor of these criminals on Soaps, have no morals when it comes real life!
Hopefully, the accident paves the way for Kate Mansi’s exit as Kristina. I loved her immediately as the recast but now the character is unrecognizable and Kristen Vaganos is killing it as a very successful Molly recast.
Hopefully, the writers write out Kristina and give the character a much needed break.
I would say that Kate should return to days of our lives as Abigail Horton but what’s the point with the actor who’s played Chad Dimera is exiting.
Yes the Molly recast is quite likeable. Good casting there.
Yeah, it took them three times to get it right, but they finally found a good one. Even though her life has been a long string of chaotic family traumas since then. Dead baby… dead sister.. and now her dad circling the drain. (Ric will probably survive of course. Unless the writers already have him scheduled to be a heart donor for his brother)
EP and writers for GH, let Kristina grow up and move on. She continues to do things that blow up in a major way. Please stop giving us the same thing over and over again. The same could be said for Ava, Willow, Portia, who knows that Curtis hates things being kept from him, Brad, Lulu and Joss. Characters who continue to do stupid things are not interesting.
Plz take Drew and Wilow off the show.
As much as I like Ric, it would make sense if he should surcome to his injury from the car accidonent, maybe his heart would go to save Sonny’s life by means of a heart transplant.. being Sonny will be having surgery on his heart out of state and Ric being Sonny’s brother he’d be a reasonable match to be a donor. With hospital rules Sonny won’t know who the donor was.
Rick should be saved. Sonny is a murderer,
killer, mob boss it’s time for him to go and take
the whole Corinthos clan with you.
Yeah… let’s either roll GH back to what it was in 1976, or let it be completely overrun by OLTL & AMC castaways.
Results would be the same either way: Cancellation within 13 weeks. Just like it was before the Spencers came to town. And again right before they returned in 1993. Accompanied by America’s favorite coffee importer.
This gal is nutter than a Fruitcake. Just hope no-one was killed.
yeah, Kristina is cray cray for sure, and lets not forget alot like her father, both act very entitled but lets not forget Ava either, she never learns her lessons either, she just keep poking and poking and one of these days she’s gonna get hit or like it happens in most cases, it could be somebody innocent like Avery, so this is not going to end well for this trio and the people around them.
Kristina needs to pay for this , she knows she was not pushed from window, and now she’s endangering. Lives. Little spoiled bratt. Needs mental help .
Get rid of Willow and Drew. Lulu should have stayed in a coma! I have been watching Beyond the Gates. I need a break from General Hospital
Same here
Kristina is a frickin’ nutcase! As violent, hateful, and unstable as her father.
As opposed to Ava Jerome, who is the first chair harp player in Heaven’s symphony orchestra, right?
Kristina needs to pay for what she’s done! She also has to go to Shadybrook!!
Hope this is the end of Kristina. Alexis should have seen this looong time ago., I can understand wanting to “shelter” one’s child—-but the results could be disastrous—as we have seen. This is not a first.
Aside—Double espresso? Ohhh—never ever !! No such thing. And, in a paper cup?? Has anyone on GH ever been to Italy? No true Italian would tolerate what I’ve just seen. Mamma mia!!

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
