GENERAL HOSPITAL: Lucky is Revealed, Kristina and Molly Have a Showdown, Lulu’s Loved Ones Hold Out Hope
The Friday, August 23rd episode of General Hospital delivered viewers beginnings of the next arcs of several storylines, especially with the return of Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer.
Although it was the very last seconds of the episode, the five-time Daytime Emmy winner is back on our screens. In the story, as Laura (Genie Francis) laments she wishes she knew where Lucky was, while speaking to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), the scene shifts to Lucky with a burlap bag over his head in captivity somewhere. Next, a man removes the bag to reveal Luke and Laura’s beloved son.
Back in Port Charles, Lucky’s sister, Lulu has been moved to General Hospital from the longterm care facility, in lieu of better medical attention. Lulu now has an issue with a failing liver, putting in question whether she will pull out of her coma. However, Laura tells Elizabeth she will not give up hope, because Lulu is a fighter.

When Maxie (Kirsten Storms) comes to see her best friend, she recalls never telling Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that Lulu still loved him and tells her comatose bestie, that she did that because she was sure Lulu would want him to move on, which he has with Sam. Dante is also upset and conflicted once he learns Lulu has been moved to GH. Eventually, he shows up to see his ex-wife, as Maxie is trying to will Lulu to wake up for everyone that loves her especially her children, Rocco (Finn Carr) and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), and the man she loves, Dante.

At the cemetery, following the funeral of TJ (Tajh Bellow) and Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) baby, a massive and emotional verbal fight ensues between sisters Molly and Kristina (Kate Mansi). It’s at that point that Molly lashes out at Kristina that it her fault her sweet innocent baby is buried. Molly goes on to call Kristina selfish and self-absorbed. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) begs Molly to back-off which prompts Molly to lash out at her mother for always defending Kristina.
Molly asks Alexis, if the baby is why she was so eager to get her law license back? In order to steal her baby for Kristina? Next, Alexis breaks down in tears, as well. Then in a shocker, Molly pulls out the affidavit that was in Alexis’ briefcase. Thinking that Alexis threw in with Kristina to take her baby once it was born, she continues to lash out at the both of them.

While Kristina cried that the baby was part of her, Molly fires back that she killed her! Molly says mothers protect their children, and she is selfish and caused her baby’s death. Kristina collapses on the ground. TJ leans over and medically checks on her, before leaving with Molly and her dad, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). In the aftermath while back home, Alexis tells Kristina she needs to find a way to reconnect with her sister. However, Kristina says she will never forgive Molly for blaming her for her baby’s death.
So, what did you think of Friday’s GH? Who is holding Lucky captive? Will Lulu wake up soon? What did you think of the showdown between Molly and Kristina? With Ric back are we heading towards a court battle over the death of the baby? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
What an episode! Great acting from all involved. And Lucky is back, hopefully quickly to Port Charles. And GH, please cast Lulu so we can see her face.
I’m sure Laura will be off ” looking for a Liver transplant” so as to get her usual summer vacation. I have a hunch that brother Cyrus will turn out to be the one with the Liver.
I was team Molly and Tj, but no more. They are being EXTREMELY selfish, for failing to acknowledge everything this woman has gone through . Siding with Ava, give me a break. Kristina needs to heal herself and put her selfish and self-righteous sister on hold!
Boy, do I agree with you! Did Molly think a piece of paper bought her a baby? Yes, T.J was the bio father but that didn’t make Molly the mother, nothing can ever change the fact that Kristina was that child’s mother, not certainly Molly’s incessant “my baby,my baby” carrying on with her usual spoiled brat tactics.Their mother tried telling the two of them that this might happen and sure enough it did!
I am thrilled that Lucky is back and that Lulu will wake up soon. With Emma Samms coming back to GH and her return is tied to Lucky, I wonder if she is holding Lucky captive somewhere. Wyndemere perhaps? It could also be Valentin Cassadine holding Lucky hostage on Cassadine Island. I hope we some clues on Monday. I’m excited to see where Lucky has been the last ten years and how he will make his way home to Port Charles. I just hope it’s sooner than later.
It was difficult and sad watching the Davis family implode. The surrogacy story could have been beautiful and brought the sisters and families (Davis & Ashfords) closer together, but instead it has driven a wedge between them that won’t mend anytime soon.
They’ve mentioned Wyndemere a number of times and got me thinking of how many people could hide out there , right in plain sight as they say, well almost. You would think that someone with any imagination would go and check it out.
The role of Lulu Spencer, will now be played by Crystal Hunt. That’s my prediction.
I would be ok with that. Loved her on OLTL
Yes I loved Crystal Hunt, on OLTL. She is a wonderful actress.
The cemetery fight was a bit extreme even for a soap. Kristina wailing on the ground while Molly lays into her. Talk about kicking a dead horse. All the actors did a terrific job delivering the material though. I may start fast forwarding through the Davis girls though. I wasn’t looking forward to a drawn out custody battle but now I think I would prefer a custody battle instead of this. It’s so sad and dark.
Please tell us the rumors of Lulu dying are not true. I can see GH doing this to us so soon after killing off a baby. We waited so long for her to wake up.
The rumors are saying that the casting call was for Hayden’s position not Lulu’s.
Since the character was born, Molly has always been “the other Davis girl”. Even so at the start of this surrogate story (granted the multiple recasts contributed to that).
Over the past month, Kristen Vaganos’ performance has brought Molly to the forefront. We finally see Molly’s perspective. She and Taj Bellow’s TJ are a younger couple that should drive stories for the foreseeable future.
Great seeing Rick Hearst back as Ric supports his daughter. Looking forward to the eventual confrontation with Sonny.
As per your last sentence, me too, especially since Sonny’s ‘back on his game
Beautifully said, Steve. Molly is that good girl who gets ignored by her parents because she has a sibling who constantly screws up garnering all of the attention.
Was great episode very soap opera vibes finally n cliffhanger at the end with lucky
Molly totally Molly and TJ they were awesome. I am totally on their side. Christina is a bitch a selfish attention seeker and she lies all the time she promised and begged to be there surrogate when they all knew what would do and went ahead and caused trouble again, just like she always does, Molly had every right to her and her mother Alex is always protecting Christina and making Molly baby Christina well Molly has had enough baby TJ sperm and baby Molly and TJ. I don’t care 100 times carried the baby. She was not supposed to attached to it she knew the rules and she had agreed to them in the very beginning and then goes and changes her mind and causes trouble again. Never listening to TJ and Molly about what they wanted her to do in order to protect the baby during the pregnancy she Christina Always went and went against what they said and caused trouble all the time and she did that never listening and that is what got the baby Killed as far as I’m concerned Christina is at total fault. She should’ve known better than to go and visit Ava. She could’ve made a telephone call to her. TJ and Molly told her to stop putting stress on the baby and she never listened and she kept doing it. No it is completely Christine’s fault and then to find out that Christina and Alexis were planning to steal Molly and TJ’s baby and that is exactly what they were doing. Look at the whole thing for what it is people and anybody who doesn’t see it this way. Is blind and you’re no better than Christina
Christina is true to her usual entitled behavior. She was going to betray her sister by taking away the baby that she agreed to surrogate for Molly. T. J. was right to be worried, and Molly was absolutely justified to blame Christina for causing the baby to die. It was Christina’s impulsive decision to go confront Ava. If she had just stayed home instead of having a temper tantrum and confronting Ava, the baby would have survived. It seems Christina needs to be assessed for bipolar disorder. Her behavior is erratic, and she never takes responsibility for her mistakes. She always sees herself as the victim. Classic bipolar behavior, just like her father when he gets off his meds.
I really didn’t like the way you described Kristina in wanting to keep her own baby, she didn’t sell her you know, but that’s why in real life they advise people, especially relatives not to make these agreements. On the second horn, as Satan would say, you have a point about the Bipolar thing, like Sonny and Morgan have also, being hereditary, she has shown this behavior other times.
When bad actors can’t reach down and pull something deep inside themselves in order to emote, they overact to compensate. Kristina shrieked and screamed with nary a tear or a flicker of facial emotion. Her shrieking and caterwauling was ridiculous and what should have been a heart wrenching scene turned into dark comedy.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Emma Wants to Save Anna, Isaiah’s Career is All But Destroyed, Joe Makes an Arrest
The Monday, May 18 episode of General Hospital brought with it a startling discovery, a new reality for one surgeon, a new cop on the scene, and a granddaughter determined to protect her grandmother.
First, Laura (Genie Francis) tells Mac (John J. York) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that Anna (Finola Hughes) is in worse trouble than she was previously after she had Kevin to check on her while he was in Europe. They head out to update Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner).
Meanwhile, Emma gets upset over Anna during a discussion with Felicia and breaks Anna’s favorite coffee cup. Emma is overcome with sadness and cries, trying to figure out how she is supposed to be so happy with Gio (Giovanni Mazza), while Anna is locked away somewhere against her own will.

BAD NEWS FOR EMMA
Laura and Mac arrive to talk with Emma and Felicia, and reveal how Anna escaped and made it to the border, but she was now in the custody of the French authorities and they are transferring her to a long term mental illness facility, which freaks out Emma just as Gio arrives. Emma runs into his arms. Laura says at this point, Anna needs a strong advocate and she will make a call on her behalf. (But to who?)
At the Metro Court pool, Curtis (Donnell Turner) is arrested by Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) after throwing a punch at Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson). Joe takes Curtis to the station where Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) tells Fitzgerald to remove Curtis’ handcuffs. Now inside the interrogation room, Curtis explains that he believes Isaiah left he and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) dead at the side of the road the night of the accident and provoked him.
BROKEN HAND, BROKEN MAN
Curtis just wants to put it all behind him and says he will pay for Isaiah’s medical bills, but Dante informs him, he is trouble and he needs to call a lawyer. So, he calls Jordan. Meanwhile, Isaiah gets looked at while at General Hospital, and his hand is messed up. He comes to learn he will need multiple surgeries not only for broken bones but two tendons were severed in the process. Isaiah realizes his surgical days are numbered possibility forever, if not for a very long time.
JOSSLYN FINDS ANNA’S MESSAGE
While being held hostage, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) tries again to convince Cassius (Ryan Paevey) to set her free. That leads into the two playing cards and Cassius asking Josslyn how she got into the WSB. Josslyn admits her boyfriend was murdered and she killed the person who was the culprit for retribution. She says she put together all the pieces that he did the crime, and now this line of work gives her purpose.
In the shocking final moments, after Cassius leaves for the night, Josslyn heads to the cot in the other part of the holding room and sees a hand-carved message on the wall from Anna that she was there and help captive on October 31, 2025. We fade to black.
So what did you think of the concern Emma showed for Anna, and the performance of Braedyn Bruner? What are your very initial impressions of Jonathan Bennett as Joe Fitzgerald? Which character is annoying you more in the story … Curtis, Jordan, Portia or Isaiah? Weigh-in via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL SPOILERS

‘General Hospital’s’ Finn Carr and Dominic Zamprogna Deliver the ‘Power Performances of the Week’
The on-screen father/son combo of General Hospital’s Dante and Rocco Falconeri as portrayed by Dominic Zamprogna and Finn Carr were part of high emotional stakes scenes on episodes airing May 11-15.
First, Finn Carr’s Rocco is so guilt-ridden and burdened with the secret that he shot WSB director, Ross Cullum that it’s eating him alive. So much so, that he gets into a heated argument with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn). Rocco feels so badly that Danny’s father was taken from him for parts unknown by the WSB, all because Jason refused to implicate Rocco as the shooter.
In a heartbreaking scene, Rocco shows up at Britt’s door and lets her know he can’t take it anymore and that the secret he is keeping is tearing him apart. The fear is palpable in Rocco’s eyes. Britt calls Rocco a hero for saving her life and Jason’s and he has to remember that. Britt hugs him and promises that he can come talk to her anytime. In that moment, Rocco felt seen and felt safe.

ROCCO ON THE EDGE
All of the beats mentioned above were played with depth and acting maturity by Finn Carr; that it is so very clear why the writers and the producers are so comfortable giving him the ball in this umbrella story. He steps up to the plate every time and hits it out of the park.
Rocco also overheard his parents fighting over him after Dante figured out that Rocco was responsible for the shooting, and confronted Lulu (Alexa Havins) for withholding the truth from him. As their argument escalated and their relationship was further threatened by the lies, Rocco listened to the whole thing from the outside porch.
Eventually Dante, who had learned the truth by having Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) help him piece together what happened the night Cullum was shot, has a heart to heart with his son. He asks Rocco to tell him in his own words the events that transpired, and promises Rocco, that even though he is the police commissioner, he is going to help him. Rocco goes step by step over how Cullum was about to strike Jason with a weighted-baton and how the gun was loose on the ground and he shot him. Dante says his actions saved Jason and Britt’s life, and that he is going to help his son from here on out. He just wished everyone had come to him sooner, because as the father it’s his job to protect his son, not the other way around.
DANTE COMES TO TERMS
Still later in the week, Dante is visited by Elizabeth, and they discuss how they are going to cover-up any evidence that Rocco was at the hospital the night of the shooting with a hand injury, and that Dante is going to make sure the evidence against Rocco disappears. Something that is a huge disconnect for anyone that knows what a fine and upstanding cop Dante has been through the years, but he is determined to help his son stay safe and to keep him close.
However, Cullum is on the hunt for said evidence, and thinks Danny may have shot him in the back (or does he … and he knows Rocco shot him?). He visits Dante’s office and wants the evidence in the shooting. Meanwhile, bets are we are a few story beats away from Danny learning Rocco shot Cullum.
Throughout all the material given to Finn Carr and Dominic Zamprogna they rose to the occasion. Finn, getting the opportunity to play the often uptight Rocco on the edge, and Dominic, showing us how he can make us feel what Dante is feeling just by watching the emotion and hurt in his eyes. Therefore, Michael Fairman TV names Finn Carr and Dominic Zamprogna our picks for the Power Performances of the Week.
Now below, let us know if you agree with our picks of Finn and Dominic as the standout performances of the week, and if so, what moment really tugged on your heartstrings featuring Rocco and/or Dante via the comment section.
