GENERAL HOSPITAL: Monica’s Sister, Ronnie, Faces off with Tracy
On the Monday, September 29 episode of General Hospital, Erika Slezak’s new role began to reveal itself, when she introduces herself to Tracy (Jane Elliot) as Monica’s younger sister. Tracy says Monica never mentioned her, but she knew about her from the time she investigated her background. Tracy wants to know why “Ronnie” is in the crypt, and in town, when she and Monica were estranged.
Ronnie tells Tracy that Monica wrote her a letter several weeks ago, which came as a surprise, and since then, she has been writing back and forth to her. Tracy insists on seeing the letters in Monica’s handwriting, as she is not believing anything coming out of Ronnie’s mouth.
Tracy believes Ronnie wants a handout, but Ronnie tells her she is only here to pay her respects to her sister. In fact, Ronnie wants to meet the rest of Monica’s family including Jason and Michael. Next, Ronnie launches into a seemingly emotional back-story of how she and Monica were separated as children when they were raised in the foster care system. Ronnie says that even though the two didn’t grow up as sisters, when they reconnected, there was no room for her in Monica’s life. Tracy qualifies that, letting her know there is also no room for Ronnie in her family now … or ever.

Next, Tracy applauds Ronnie’s story, but says she doesn’t believe a word of it, adding “Monica Bard may have been your sister, but the little girl you remember grew up to be Dr. Monica Quartermaine. She was a skilled surgeon. She was a pillar of her community. Too busy helping others to bother to look back. So you hear me when I tell you, Ronnie… there is no room for you in her family’s future.”
Ronnie spews back that Monica had described Tracy pretty accurately, but left out how cold she is. Tracy demanded Ronnie get off the property. Before she goes, Ronnie stops at the crypt doors and warns: “You know, Tracy? Masks have a tendency to slip. And I suspect that you may not be entitled to everything you think you are. My sincere condolences on this very sad day.”

Back at the hospital, Nina (Cynthia Watros) prepares Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) for the shock of their lives! Nathan (Ryan Paevey) is alive and in the hospital. Liesl looks in disbelief. Britt looks as if she knows what’s really going on. Once in Nathan’s hospital room, he hugs his mom, and then he and Britt share a steely hug. What is going on between siblings, Britt and Nathan (if this is the true Nathan West)? It should be noted that Nathan says his last memory is being shot by Faison and he has no other memories of why he’s there, but he wants to meet his son.
Meanwhile, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) tell James (Gary James Fuller) his father, Nathan West is alive. James reaction is one of confusion as he thought his dad was in heaven. Spinelli tells James they can wait to go see his dad until he feels more comfortable to do so.

In the basement of Alexis'(Nancy Lee Grahn) house, Ava (Maura West) is taunting a tied up Ric (Rick Hearst) and making him a swallow another sedative. Later, she walks upstairs and chats with Alexis about their plans for Ric. Back in the basement, it’s revealed that Ric has been faking swallowing the pills he has been given as he is able to extricate himself from the duct tape and go free. While Alexis is on her phone with her law office, Ric comes upstairs and is trying to sneak out the front door. Will he make it? Stay tuned.
So, what did you think of Ronnie Baird facing off with Tracy Quartermaine as played by the one and only Erika Slezak and Jane Elliot? What do you think Ronnie is plotting? And, what do you think is going on with Nathan West? Why was Britt’s reaction to Nathan the way it was? Share your thoughts via the comment section.
What a treat to see Erika Slezak back on screen. I couldn’t stop myself from smiling ear to ear. And to be paired up with Jane Elliott? Wow! 2 legends.
I hear her stay in Port Charles is brief, so I am cherishing her visit. This lady deserves all
Of her flowers!!! A class act all the way.
Ms. Slezak as Ronnie in plain down-to-earth clothes and no-frills hairstyle is certainly not Vicki but has shades of her alter Tommy. Wouldn’t it be a hoot down the pike, Robbin Strauser does a cameo as Ronnie’s romantic partner. Just a thought. Kudos to Slezak and Elliot.
Forgive the typos: if Robin Strasser…
Monday’s episode was GH at its peak. The scenes between Jane Elliot and Erika Slezak were phenomenal. Erika hasn’t lost a step; she commanded the role from the jump and held her own against Tracy. I just wish she were permanently joining the show because Tracy needs an equal to be her new sparring partner.
As for “Nathan”, his scenes with Leisl and Britt made two things clear to me: Britt is in on whatever is going on with his return, and this is not the real Nathan West. I think it’s either someone pretending to be Nathan (like Peter), or a twin whose memories were swapped with Nathan’s up until the shooting.
Britt knows Nathan is a fake
How do we know Britt isn’t a fake too ?
I know she’s really Britt, because I signed her parole documents that let her out of Hell!
If she is, the snark is spot on. Still waiting for the details on how she actually faked her death. Her mother, a brilliant doctor, sat with a “dead” body for quite a while.
Slezak and Elliot were mesmerizing to watch. Not necessarily for the dialogue, but just to see them in the same scene.
Going to nitpick a bit about the ramifications of soras-ing on timelines. While Tracy was correct in saying she knew 45 years, that would mean AJ (if alive) would only be 44 years old and Jason (the lighting is not THAT good) 42. Throws off the Michael & Wiley timelines as well.
As suspected, it’s not really Nathan. Liesl is too smart to really believe her two dead children came back to life days apart.
Did Felicia, Spinelli, and James even know that Britt was alive when they ran into her at the hospital?
The Michael timeline is already way off. Michael is in his early 30s now, but Carly wasn’t even in Port Charles in 1995, so that shouldn’t technically be possible. And at this point in 1995, Jason was still the preppie kid who wore sweaters.
As for Nathan. he’s the real Nathan, because he’s got the scars on his chest exactly where they should be. As to where he’s been the last 7 years, and why he doesn’t seem to remember any of that, that’s going to be the “big mystery”. I suspect it’s some sort of brainwashing, just like the kind that Drew had preset in his mind (courtesy of Faison & Helena) when he first arrived in Port Charles a decade ago, which was somehow separate from the brain-mapping that made him think he was Jason.
Hopefully Jason still has that Tarot card in the pocket of his leather jacket that he used to “turn off” Drew’s programming back in the day. He might need it, if Nathan’s brain glitches back to whatever mode it was in before he crashed his truck.
Wow, Erika Slezak and Jane Elliot on screen together!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an absolute treat. I watched their scenes 4 times and savored every syllable and gesture. I can’t wait to see where the story goes.
I LOVED seeing Erika back on Daytime tv!
I loved the scenes between Jane and Erika. Both are amazingly talented. Depending on where this story goes, I would like to see Erika back again.
Rather disappointed. I didn’t feel any dynamic between these two soap icons watching the scene. I’ve seen Erika on a show or two since OLTL so I didn’t feel like, “Wow! After all these years…” However she does look wonderful; hard to believe last we saw her as “Vicki” she was only in her late 60s, and now close to 80. But I felt the scene lacking, and Erika flat. Maybe I’ll feel differently as her role in this story arc continues. I’m wondering if her character inherits the house; that would leave the door open to future appearances…It’s unfortunate Erika wasnt offered a role on GH (as far as I know) when she was younger and might have been interested in staying on longer…
As for “Nathan?” I don’t think it’s really him, but whoever he is I think he was involved in the drug research Britt’s been doing. He might even be her “boss” and followed her there since her escape. Britt was definitely not thrilled to see him and seemed concerned that lil James was about to meet him.

Kelly Sullivan Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’s’ Maura West Recalling When Ava Shot Connie (Exclusive)

It was just over 13 years ago on General Hospital when Ava Jerome (Maura West) shot and killed Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in an effort to keep her quiet from revealing that Derek Wells was actually Ava’s back-from-the-dead brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry). It’s a crime that somehow Ava never has quite paid for either.
The episode back aired on August 13, 2013 and viewers had to say goodbye to Kelly Sullivan who played Kate and her alter, Connie. In the story, just before she died, Kate/Connie scrawled the letters AJ in her own blood, initially making the PCPD and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) think that it was AJ Quatermaine (Sean Kanan) who did the deed.
Now, Sullivan recalled sharing scenes with the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning West, during a live conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel. Kelly was the special guest talking about her recent return to the soaps in her new role as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Darcy Dylan.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF MAURA WEST
Speaking of her final GH scenes and working with Maura West, Sullivan gave her then GH co-star major props. “If you’re going to be shot by somebody (on the soaps), you want to be shot by Maura West, c’mon!”
Maura West debuted back in May 2013 as Ava, and Sullivan remembered when the As the World Turns favorite began on GH. “I remember when Maura West first arrived at GH. She walked in with this cute little bob (hairdo) and she’s just delicious,” shared Sullivan.
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
Kelly revealed more about Maura, adding “I think she’s amazing! I remember right before I left the show, someone suggested, and I would still love to do this with her, if she ever want to, but someone suggested that they wanted to direct the stage play A Streetcar Named Desire with Maura and I, where I would play Stella and she would play Blanche! Wouldn’t that be great?”
Speaking of the Ava/Connie showdown scenes, Sullivan expressed, “On television and on General Hospital specifically, Maura West is able to play a character who does the most horrendous things and you still care about her and that’s the mark of a really great actor. In other words, you’re able to be liked in the midst of the most horrendous things, and as a performer not shying away from that, and to just have the courage to do what’s on the page (in the script).”

KELLY SULLIVAN PARTING THOUGHTS AS SHE LEFT GENERAL HOSPITAL
Kelly also shared her sentiments when she walked off the set of General Hospital after her run back in August of 2013. “I really was honored. Every day I would go to work and I would say a little prayer, which is I want to do justice for my character, explained Kelly. “It’s between me and my character. I get to walk this path with her and to leave the show on that note, which is, I left every out there. I just gave it my all and again what an honor it was to play Kate/Connie.”
You can catch the full conversation with Kelly where she talks about her time on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner and now The Bold and the Beautiful below.
So, do you remember the Ava and Connie scenes where Ava shot and killed her? What did you think of Kelly Sullivan’s sentiments about Maura West? Share your thoughts via the comment section. But first, watch the reveal where Ava recalls murdering Connie below!

Steve Burton Reportedly Signs Three-Year Contract with ‘General Hospital’

The question of will Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) stay awhile at General Hospital after his recent extended hiatus from the show earlier this year, has reportedly been answered.
TMZ via court documents obtained in Burton’s ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Sheree Gustin, shared that Steve actually inked a new three year deal with the ABC soap opera back in June.
That is significant because it was June when Burton returned back to work as Jason. In addition, the court filing confirmed that Burton had already moved back to California from Tennessee.

STEVE’S HIATUS AND HIS RETURN TO PORT CHARLES
GH fans will recall, it was back in February of 2026, that Burton announced via his Instagram that he was stepping away from his role of Jason Morgan for short break and pointed to wanting to spend quality time with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom Burton with whom he tied the knot back on May 17, 2025.
Steve expressed at that time, “I’m newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.” It was back on March 25 that viewers saw Jason carted away by the WSB after taking the fall for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) who shot then WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Burton returned to work on June 1, and due to General Hospital taping roughly six weeks ahead of air, made his on-screen comeback on the July 13 episode.
GOING FOR GOLD AT THE UPCOMING DAYTIME EMMYS
Then, Steve and his enduring fans got an extra special treat on the same day, when it was revealed on Extra that he was nominated for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.
Steve previously won in the Supporting Actor category for his work as General Hospital’s Jason in 1998 and as The Young and the Restless’ Dylan McAvoy in 2018.
Now with Jason and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship seemingly hitting the skids, plus Jason’s commitment to staying out of mob life to focus on being present for his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), what does the future hold for the fan favorite character? Stay tuned.
So, happy to hear that Steve Burton signed a new three year deal with General Hospital? Knowing that, what storyline would you like to see Jason get involved and with who? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason and Britt Reach an Impasse; Is This the End of Their Relationship?

On the Friday, September 11 episode of General Hospital, Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship becomes strained to potentially the point of no return.
Things take a turn when an unglued Britt having been traumatized by almost being killed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) asks Jason to back her up with the PCPD when she reports Anna for attempted murder.
However, Jason told Britt, he can’t. Jason shares that he does not believe Anna would have gone through with shooting her. Therefore, Britt was not in any real imminent danger. Britt is flabbergasted and hurt that Jason is refusing to tell the police what he actually witnessed for himself on Mount Emerson.

BRITT WANTS BACK UP FROM JASON
Jason counters that he can’t believe that Britt would want Anna punished. or sent to prison, or a mental facility after the trauma she endured while being locked up and mentally tortured while at Wyndemere.
He asks Britt, “How could you even say that you want her locked up or prosecuted for what she did when you knew she was being held prisoner and you did nothing to save her?” Britt is stunned by Jason’s response.
Coming up, official General Hospital spoilers share that on the upcoming Monday, September 14 episode, Jason confides in Carly (Laura Wright), while Britt is stung. In the video preview that aired at the end of the Friday, September 11 episode for this coming Monday, Britt says to Jason, “You don’t believe me. Do you?”
General Hospital head scribes, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte previously teased in their fall preview of the soap, “Britt and Jason have come a long way and fought a lot of enemies to be together. But the most stubborn obstacle to their happiness isn’t without, it’s within. Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”
So, what do you think will happen? Will Jason and Britt break-up over Britt’s lies and Jason’s unwillingness to report Anna’s crime against her? Do you want Jason and Britt to go their separate ways? If they do, will Britt become romantically involved with Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) ? If so, who do you pair Jason with? Anyone? Weigh-in via the comment section.
