GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sam is a Match to be Lulu’s Liver Donor
And so it begins … the exit storyline for Kelly Monaco (Sam) got underway, just how it all unfolds is yet to be determined, but on the Tuesday, October 15th episode of General Hospital, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) learns some startling news. The hospital has located a donor match to save Lulu.
Elizabeth tells Laura (Genie Francis) who is sitting vigil by Lulu’s bedside the good news. They have located a match, and of course, they will need to run a second battery of labs, if the potential donor agrees to the liver transplant procedure to save Lulu’s life.
Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) visits with Elizabeth, and their talk turns to Lucky’s (Jonathan Jackson) whereabouts and his desire to run from Port Charles, yet again. Next, Isaiah tells Elizabeth he understands where Lucky is at, in fact, Isaiah walked away from his own medical practice after a surgery he performed went south. So, he ran out of the country, as well. Elizabeth points out that he worked in refugees camps; saving people’s lives. Isiah confesses he should never have run away and that he also think it’s a good idea for Lucky to stay put where he is needed.

Next, Elizabeth learns the identify of the donor match and later we see Sam getting a call from GH while at the batting cage with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). She thinks it’s about Kristina (Kate Mansi). When she gets to the hospital to meet Terry (Cassandra James), the co-chief of staff tells her there is something they need to discuss. They have found a match for Lulu. Sam thinks that great, but that she should be telling this to Dante. That’s when Terry levels the news to Sam that she, is in fact, the donor match everyone has been praying for leaving Sam shell-shocked.

And wouldn’t you know! At the same time, Isaiah is visiting with Lulu, Elizabeth hears monitors and alarms going off in Lulu’s room from the nurses’ hub. Dante is not far behind and stands at the doorway distraught, while Elizabeth and Isaiah spring into action to try to stabilize Lulu.
At the Quartermaines, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) gets a text that Finn is being released from rehab, Willow (Katelyn McMullen) who is with her thinks that’s great news for Violet (Jophielle Love), but Brook Lynn feels twinges of jealousy that if Finn comes home, he will take Violet from her and Chase (Josh Swickard).

Courtesy/ABC
Things are not looking good for Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow, now that Ned (Wally Kurth) is out to bring their feelings for each other to light for his own ELQ gain. So, what’s a Quartermaine to do? Hire that private eye friend of Felicia’s (Kristina Wagner) named Elaine, the same woman who has been slinking around Port Charles with her dog to trip up Carly (Laura Wright).
So, what did you think of how the stage is set to have to save Lulu STAT? Will Sam get rushed to surgery to get Lulu a new liver? Share your thoughts in the comment section below. But first, check out the scenes between Dante and Sam before she gets the call to head to GH and learn she is Lulu’s donor match.
I had a feeling Sam would be Lulu’s donor after they killed her off, but I didn’t expect her to die in surgery.
Agreed! I thought it would be more likely an accident. They sure have saved Dominic’s character a lot of grief by this.
How in the world is this going to save Dante a lot of grief?! It’s going to break him beyond repair!
Agree
Exactly- I guess she’s going to die during surgery or afterwards she want heal!
I’ll wait to see how it all plays out, but it seems like a weak storyline exit for Sam. Long term characters typically go out with weeks of key scenes or an amazing deathbed scene. Despite the many issues with Guza – he wrote strong exits for Tony and Alan. Tony (who had been pushed to the far back burner for years) got to play Lucas’ coming out scene and “saw BJ” in his final moments.
Sam seems to be going out with a whimper. We’ll see how that plays out in the days ahead.
I just wish that sam didn’t have to go that fast and Jason is going to be devastated and so would danny and Dante and also rocko least not forget about her mom and her sister’s
Kelly’s exit is pure insanity. Frank V has it out for her. He needs to be fired. The storyline dictation is leading to unimaginable things. Sonny shooting Jagger in cold blood, is just sickening, and now Sam of all of PC, is Lulu’s donor? He is destroying GH just like he did his other soaps. Get rid of him now.
Exactly! There’s no rhyme or reason to exit this awesome character. She’s been with this show as a staple for many years. She and Dante are a breath of fresh air in the middle of the dark storyline. Bad bad decision!
She sure have been a long time ago. She is the worst actress General Hospital ever had.
Maybe Lulu will have another chance with Dante before he leaves. Maybe they will keep him on General Hospital and Dante and Lulu will get back tohether
She is the best actress on GH maybe they should mix up the test and then miss Goodie two shoes Elizabeth can get the boot she is the worst on GH
i agree eizabeth character is so boring! i will miss the K Monaco.
Rebecca is an outstanding talent who the writers of General Hospital ruined. She had off the charts chemistry and connection with Jason that withstood time and every situation. Obviously SOD recognized them as a super couple to put them on the front of the special edition and they were #20. She was great in the late 90s and early to mid 2000s. I love Sam with Dante the blended family they built. GH is making a big mistake.
Hilarious!!
Okay I must have slept for that info that Dominic Zamprogna, Dante is leaving also, wow.
I agree with you. It doesn’t make sense to me either.
Sam spark is gone
GH needs to get rid of Frank Valentini. He is ruining it. the storyline dictation of sunny shooting Jagger in cold. Blood is ridiculous, and now Sam being Lulu‘s donor??? He’s just out for blood, and he needs to be gone. FIRE FRANK V NOW! It seems very fishy to me, he’s firing someone who has been on the soap for 21 years. I think she knows he’s to blame for BM’s death.
Blaming Frank for Kelly being dismissed or the direction the show is taking is an okay reaction. What’s not okay is blaming him for someone’s real life death. Billy sadly was dealing
He must be gay 3 storyline opened in one week overkill and getting rid of Sam! GO WOKE GO BROKE
Your response makes absolutely no sense.
(Continued) Billy was sadly dealing with severe bouts of mental illness. Blaming – or even accusing – Frank of being responsible is reckless and uncalled for.
I think it’s not right. Sam has been there for forever, and now she has to leave to save a woman that’s been gone for four years? Why couldn’t the writers just leave Sam and Dante alone? Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to have a happily ever after on a soap.
So true I can’t stand frank, they all kiss his ass. Finn is coming back,I guess he’s not fired. That’s great
As far as we know he’s not coming back. His reunion with Violet will happen off screen or will be a recast. Pretty sure Easton not coming back.
Agree
I agree with you. In fact, Sam has to stay.
She will die after transplant
I think it’s terrible that Kelly Monaco was fired. The writing has been terrible, Frank Valentin has to wake up before they destroy GH. Of all the family that Lulu has someone who is not related is a match? That is so unlikely. So now we all know how Sam dies, she dies giving her boyfriend’s ex-wife her liver. So now what happens to Sam’s children?
She needs to be out let her leave yes feel bad for her kids but the Dad’s have to stand up to the plate and take care of them and this Jagger thing get over it already he is dead thank God get rid of Kristina, Ava, and Rick, and many more you brought in the lady with the stupid dog why is she here no reason Nad is another one there is too many simply people on the show gogogo let them leave
Yes so true and well said
Well said, Angela.
It doesn’t make sense to me at all.
So Ned hired a P.I to catch Willow and Drew…and bring this to the open at a later date ….(Like in February or nx year ..storyline lingers once again)and puts it out there to either blackmail Drew or throw this about his wife to Michael in what his “uncle” and wife have been hiding for a long while now….NES is so conniving and so dirty when he wants to …To get control…l would’ve thought this story would have come out sooner than later….but as always soaps writers make it unpredictable
Ned is probably next to go from this great writer
I always knew Sam McCall would be a match. Since it has been announced that she is permanently leaving the show.
Hope Lulu awakes without surgery and learn that Sam was the only match. Look forward to Sam, Lulu, and Dante love triangle. Exciting
Not gonna happen. I would have liked the triangle also. Frank is now and has been for awhile GH’s problem. Would love to see him fired
Keep Sam after she give Lulu a kidney. Don’t let her go, you have to think about her kids how hurt they will be. Keep Sam or replace her character.
Exactly! It’s the perfect solution. No harm, No fowl!
Keep Sam she don’t deserve this
Sam gonna die on the table.????
Frank and these writers are trying to have their BJ moment and its not gonna happen, this is one of the worst decision by a show in years, I just don’t see how they think this is much see tv, I don’t even wanna see Lulu come back, Lucky returned is dull, and can someone get rid of Drew, this character is just unpleasant to watch, they should kill him off.
So, to match the BJ moment, will they have Dante put his ear next to Lulu’s chest and listen to her newly implanted liver once it is transplanted from Sam?
They don’t need to kill Drew off. He’s getting elected to Congress, so that exit has pretty much been written already. Just send him to DC and leave him there. And send Nina with him.
Yes Nina ,Drew, and Ned needs to go i thought Laura brother Cyrus would be Lulu’s donner. I have been watching this story for over 30 years i need for them to stop letting go the OG’s go they need to keep Sam ,
Jason,Sonny, and Carly and the other regular from back when. They are why I watch this story everyday . The love Sam and Jason had for each other they need to get back together Sonny and Carly need to stay together, and Dontae and Lulu need to be together. Jason do not need to even think about Anna that doesn’t even look good at all.The new comers need to bounce around for their person and scandals.
Agree
Why mess Michael and Willow love up don’t make sense
Sam and Dante has no chemistry not like he did with LuLu she is leaving kill her off tell Dante and his son she will save there mom not knowing she will die off the show don’t bring another Sam on if your firer Sam don’t replace her wrong move writers you need to replace so many people now they bring it the lady with the dog really what is wrong with you people Nat needs to leave the show too he is so boring trying to see if Drew and Willow is having a fair its crazy Willow is wrong Michael has stood by her 100 % and now she wants to cheat on him how stupid is that again the writers are scewed in the head they all need to be fired put new in fix GH before it be done
Yeah.I don’t watch anymore, show not good anymore need new writers
It is October full of TRICKS. I think Sam is going to die from surgery but I think when she passes she is going to link up to our favorite vampire, Caleb and they walk off together. I think it was too coincidental for Michael Easton to be canned as well. In addition it was said Finn is done with rehab. The pieces are falling into place. It is Halloween of course. Mayb I should write for them! Happy Halloween!
I knew it. Sam’s going to donate part of her Liver, to save LuLu. Then she’ll have complications and Die. Dante will feel so Devestated & guilty. Then Kristina will have a Nervous Breakdown an be committed to Ferncliff.
Just don’t kill off Sam…. Leave an opportunity for her to return
Yes, please
Okay call me crass, but why are we getting a liver transplant for someone who has been in a coma for years. Will it improve her way of life?
They will make her die during the transplant or after goes into cardiac arrest
Sam’s scenes from 8-26 to present make NO sense. She agreed to get tested on 8-26. Acted clueless when tery called her regarding the results and looked totally shell shocked that she was lulu’s living donor match on 10-15. Today 10-16 terry discusses the procedure, risks, and consent for the second round of testing. Sam told terry to not tell Dante that she’s a match bc she didn’t want to give him false hope. Next scene she runs into lulu’s hospital room and tells Dante she is Lulu’s match. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE END THIS CRAP NOW. How does sam go from being the living donor to the deceased donor by a miid November or sooner air date? Kelly’s final film date was September 27 and she found out Sam was being killed off August 26 again none of it makes sense. Can’t wait to hear Kelly’s side of things and why she keeps using the word “retaliation” as to why she was fired.
Writers, it’s wonderful that yall are letting Sam save Lulu, but Please don’t kill Sam (Kelly Monaco)off the show. The thought of yall killing Sam off is so heartbreaking. Please Please Please! Writers, please find a way to keep her.
I think Sam does on the table
Don’t kill off Sam, get rid of Drew and leave Willow and Michael alone. Get rid of lady with dog. Kristina needs to stop thinking of the lost baby as her daughter. Find a way to show Sonny wasn’t the one who killed Jagger. Have Jagger not be dead. Sonny and Carley belong together.
I think they’re doing one too many changes all at once, just to get views and I wonder if it’s helping. I would love for Sam to stay, but they’re putting her out the way when they could just put her and Jason back together instead of trying to put him with Anna that’s disgusting he dated her daughter!!?? Poor Sam all of her men get taken away by someone from the past…..#Jason #Sam #❤️❤️❤️
So many other characters that are inessential with weak or no storylines … Portia especially, Brad, Sasha and Cody, TJ, Dex, Lucy … and what an anti climatic ending if she dies giving up part of her liver …
I really hope they do not kill Sam from complications of her donating part of her liver. This would be reckless because it could impact people in the real world. Yes, I know that it happens in the real world but they need to use their platform in a positive way to help the Donor program.
Super irresponsible storytelling! They promote organ donation and then kill the donor? Shame on the writers. I hate this almost as much as I hated the Willow Leukemia story. A year later it’s as if it never happened. The reality is Willow waited too long for a full recovery with zero repercussions. Tell the reality story.
Sorry for Kelly but she had been unhappy there for a long time move on get the past behind you it’s a new day
I think it’s going to be the saddest thing, poor Dante out of all people… Just think about it!!!
the writing is very bad right now – the writers are going for sensationalism. ie: how many times did we have to see poor Christina falling into the pool? Why was Blaze let go? I enjoyed the storyline
General Hospital
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Gets Willow Right Where He Wants Her, Curtis is Found Guilty and Sentenced to Prison

The Thursday, August 13 episode of General Hospital gave us just what Michael (Rory Gibson) was going to do to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), now that he had the goods on her that she shot Drew, the verdict in the Curtis (Donnell Turner) vs. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) case, and left us with Trina (Tabyana Ali) alone with her stalker nearby. Let’s take a look at how it all went down!
When Willow arrived at the Quartermaines to pick up Wiley and Amelia, she was stopped in her tracks when Michael confronted her armed with the truth that she shot Drew (Cameron Mathison) twice in the back. She denies it. However, Michael pulls out of an envelope signed affidavits from Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina, explaining they were at Drew’s house that night and have proof.
Michael explains her ring tone went off on her phone while she was getting ready to shoot Drew, and it was a match for Wiley’s. Kai and Trina heard the same ringtone at the courthouse when she stood trial for attempted murder. Willow threw the fact that she can’t be tried again in a court of law because of double jeopardy. However, Michael stopped her ranting and says double jeopardy doesn’t apply in family court.

HOW MICHAEL GOT THE UPPER HAND ON WILLOW
Now, Michael is ready to expose her crime. Suddenly, Willow grabs the rolling pin on the counter to strike Michael, but he is able to block her. Michael tells Willow she either accepts the arrangement he is about to tell her, or she will never see her children again. Willow tries to counter that Jacinda drugged her and she can prove it. However, Michael lets it be known that Jacinda is long gone with no forwarding address.
Next, Michael tells Willow she can remain a part of their children’s lives and he will keep their current custody arrangement as long as she moves back into the gatehouse. Willow hates the gatehouse, but knows she has no other option, so she says she will pack up her things at Nina’s and move in.

GUILTY!
At the courthouse, the jury has reached a verdict in the case of Curtis vs. Isaiah. When the jury comes back before the court, the jury foreperson shares, “We find the defendant, Curtis Ashford, guilty of second-degree assault and battery.” In lieu of the verdict, the judge sentences Curtis to ten years in prison at Pentonville with the possibility of parole in two years.
Curtis’ attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) tells his client he has gotten him 48 hours before he had to report to prison, and planned to file an appeal with the courts on the verdict. Curtis then says heartfelt goodbyes with Trina and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), before heading over to Portia’s (Brook Kerr) to see his newborn son, Desmond knowing he will not see him for quite a long time.
WHO’S THE STALKER?
Trina and Kai are at now at Bobbie’s. They talk about her father going to prison, and Trina is channeling her feelings into her songwriting. Kai decides to let Trina be by herself so she can focus and he won’t be a distraction. However, after Kai makes his exit, someone is looking through the windows at Bobbie’s and targeting Trina. But who? We fade to black.
So, what did you think about Michael having the goods on Willow and knowing she shot Drew? Were you happy about how he used the information to gain the upper hand to get her to move back into the Quartermaines gatehouse? Were you hoping for a different outcome? Are we just a short time away from Michael and Willow being back together as a couple after everything that has happened? Then, what did you think of the verdict in Curtis’ case? Glad he going away to prison for what he did? Do you care, or do not really care? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Carlo Rota Shares His Run as Sidwell Has NOT Come to an End

After General Hospital viewers learned this week from Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was sentenced to 31 years in prison with a possibility for parole in 26 years for all of his crimes (after he had taken a plea deal with the Port Charles court system), fans were wondering the status of Rota with the show.
With so many recent on-screen exits, GH viewers were concerned that Rota was the next casualty, although his character of Sidwell deserves to be put a way for life, it appears we may see him back, and from his jail cell. Could he wind up being the cellmate of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), who on today’s August 13 episode was sentenced to 10 years in prison with a possibility of parole for two years, for physically attacking Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson)? Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, Sidwell’s portrayer, Carlo Rota gave a clue as to his character’s whereabouts during his General Hospital Fan Club Weekend event, along with his wife Nazneen Contractor (Justine, GH), according to a report from Soap Central.

Photo: ABC
WHAT IS SIDWELL’S FUTURE AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH HIS BUSINESS HOLDINGS?
Rota told the crowd in attendance that Sidwell will soon be seen in Pentonville and his scenes will also include another familiar face from the Port Charles canvas. Could it be Curtis or someone else yet to be thrown into the slammer? Carlo teased, “I am in prison with another character from the show. We share a cell.”
The last time anyone saw Jenz Sidwell was back on the July 6 episode when he was in the interrogation room at the PCPD and tried to make a deal with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
The deal was that he wanted Jordan to get her hands on his money from his offshore bank accounts and in return, he can get her hooked up with the best plastic surgeon in the world (the one in Germany that Michael went to) and she can jump ahead over the waiting list. However, Jordan turned him down flat, although the thought of fixing her face still weighs heavily upon her.
GH viewers first met Sidwell, the newest villain in town to go up against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for the his territory, back in August of 2024.
Flash-forward to late summer of 2026, there has been plenty of talk by Sonny and now Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to take over Sidwell’s business holdings that will be up for auction, most likely setting the stage for Drew and Sidwell to be in cahoots, or some other shenanigans to get back at Sonny.
So, are you glad to know that there will be more Sidwell on the way soon? Do you wish the character would just already be off the canvas for good? Glad that Curtis got 10-year prison sentence, or don’t care? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

THE ARTIST KNOWN AS FRANCO ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
General Hospital fans will recall it was back in 2009, that James Franco, played the artist known as “Franco” who was fixated on death and became a main villain of the show and nemesis to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). At the time, James Franco explained about his GH alter-ego. “Franco works in a lot of different ways. He does graffiti, performances, photographs. He creates installations based on murder scenes featuring murders he possibly was involved with. He’s interested in pushing the boundaries of art – both aesthetically and ethically – and he will go way too far.”
James played “Franco” for a few runs on the soap opera from 2009-2010 and again for stint from the fall of 2011 to early 2012. Later in 2013, the role of Franco was recast with Roger Howarth playing the role until 2021.
The last several years have been difficult for James Franco to find work in Hollywood, following a 2019 sexual misconduct scandal and abuse of power allegations of inappropriate behavior towards aspiring actresses at his now-defunct acting school, Studio 4. Franco settled a lawsuit for $2.2 million in 2021, later admitting he slept with students and addressing issues surrounding power imbalances. The actor maintained he did not open his acting school to lure women for sexual advances. Since the scandal broke in 2019, James has only appeared in five films and mostly from international distributors.
Love, Lies & Frank is now available exclusively on Shortical here.
So, what do you think of James Franco starring in a microdrama? Did you enjoy him as General Hospital’s OG Franco? Let us know via the comment section below.
