GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sonny and Nina Say Their “I Do’s”, Then Michael Figures Out Who Turned Carly & Drew Into the SEC
On Friday’s episode of General Hospital, fans who thought that perhaps the ‘Sona’ wedding would be doomed, when it came to tying the knot, were proven wrong. As it turned out, in a touching intimate ceremony Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) became husband and wife.
All week long, viewers were teased with a phone call that Michael (Chad Duell) received while at the nuptials in Puerto Rico. Would the call that would implicate Nina as the person who turned in his mother, Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) to the SEC happen before the ceremony, during or after? Well, it happened after.
As to the wedding, Sonny and Nina shared their own personal vows. Sonny shares that he is thankful for Nina having trust him, and seeing a better man in him than he ever saw in himself. Most notably, Sonny is appreciative of Nina fighting for their love when everyone was against them.

Nina shares she tried to fight the idea of them ever being together, but she found herself falling deeper and deeper in love with him. She loves his ferocity – how he loves and fights for his children – and of course, his dance moves. In key words, Nina says she wants to leave all the mistakes of the past behind and start anew. After the exchange of the rings, the priest announces they are husband and wife.
Kristina (Kate Mansi), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Wiley (Viron Weaver) and Donna (Scarlett Spears) all celebrate with the newlyweds in a small intimate reception, while Michael gets a phone call from a mysterious contact. The man, who we see the back of, says the SEC was pointed towards Carly and Drew by Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).

Michael realizes that Martin was a go-between, putting two and two together, Michael turns around and sees a happy Nina. It is then, Michael comes to the realization that Nina must have been the person responsible for the trouble that Carly and Drew have been in for months. What will be his next move now that Sonny and Nina are married?

This “marriage” will last about as long as Britney Spears’ first Vegas wedding to her high school crush.
Take her down, Mikey!
Yes, expose Nina and let Sonny see the true Nina. Let him see that Carly was the blonde hair woman in his memory/ dream all the time. Carly and Sonny belong together and can save Port Charles for what’s to come. Sonny have enemies on both side and now in his bed. Nina will try to destroy him or turn him in with her vindictive mentality. Carly will always stand with and by Sonny. That is true bond and what he needs. Nina is no match for Vu or Ciruis but Carly can go toe to toe with the best. She’ll make strategic moves when Nina will just run and cry the victim.
Does Michael tell his dad that he hired Dex to take him down and Carly knew it
And Carly shut it down as soon as she found out.
Doesn’t negate the fact that for a year Michael was scheming to send his father to prison for life.
Mikey is an angry man’s Elmer Fudd- I neither like him or respect him.
Plus, he’s a hypocrite just like his horrid mother who has ruined lives like Tony Jones and AJ Quartermaine. Are we really supposed to be enraged with Nina, who in the flush of the moment reported Carly for a crime? This was on the heels of her discovery that Carly took extraordinary measures( including bribery and unauthorized DNA testing) to keep the identity of Willow’s bio mother’s secret. It was also on the heels of Carly bullying Nina on the eve of Willow’s wedding to which Nina was not invited. Instead of being remorseful, Carly was gloating, smug and unrepentant. It’s no wonder Nina made that call- as she said aloud to herself,” I’m tired of Carly getting away with everything. Nina immediately tried to walk the call back but it was too late. At least Sonny and Nina had their beautiful wedding and no wonder what the future might hold, they’ll always have that.
Carly is a vile toxic character. First she doesn’t tell willow that Nina is her mother and vice versa. Then when Drew looks into finding Willow’s birth mother Carly pays off people to derail his investigation. All of this delays Willow finding a bone marrow transplant in Liesel but when all of this comes to light everyone forgives Carly. Then Carly commits insider trading a serious federal crime. When Nina finds out she reports it and she is the villain.
Something is really wrong here. If I were Cynthia Watros I would be sick and tired of being written as Carly’s punching bag.Cynthia deserves so much better than this as an actress. I don’t know how much input LW has into all of this but one would think that she would realize how awful her character has become.I’m sure that she is a lovely person but perhaps blind to how terrible Carly is just like a parent being blind to their child’s behavior.
So Nina let’s Carly and Sonny’s kids believe he’s dead for nearly a year. Gets Jax shot. Hides Whiny Heiny from the world, which results in that empty bar in Tricky Dick Nixon Falls getting burned down, almost getting her, Phyllis, and Sonny bbq’d in the process. Almost gets Jason & Carly killed in a car bomb at their wedding… which was only needed because of the instability in the mob, caused by Nina allowing everybody to believe Sonny was dead. Sonny finally gets his memory back, but Nina won’t let him go anyway. Then she steals Carly’s business from her, gets Drew sent to Prison, and leaves Ned with a life altering brain injury.
Oh yeah… covering up Whiny Heiny’s whereabouts also made it possible for Heiny & Victor to abduct Nina’s own Aunt Liesel. And when Jason went to rescue her, that’s when he was allegedly “killed” in the tunnel collapse on Cassadine Island. And Jason’s absence – along with Nina herself – has caused Sonny to make one bad decision after another for the last two years…..
So how is Nina a “punching bag”, exactly?
If anybody’s a punching bag on this show, it would probably be Sasha. That girl can’t get a break.
So, Nina that cut Ava’s baby from her womb, took advantage of amnesiac Sonny and let his family think he was dead, is an angel ok
And Nina isn’t vile? Oh, please! Nina is far from a victim!
I agree Queen Carly fets by with everything and Willow and Michael are hateful
Well, Greg, I’m with you on the Carly front. Yes, Nina hid Sonny from everyone and told about the insider trading. But let’s not forget that both actions were precipitated by Carly’s nastiness, inability to see any viewpoint but her own, refusing Nina’s phone calls when she tried to tell her Sonny was alive, and blocking every attempt for the Nina/Willow reunion. I’m not calling Nina a saint by any means but the level of vitriol in many of these posts is truly disturbing. And how about Carly’s attack on Ava last week: “YOU DID THIS! YOU GOT DREW BEATEN UP! I KNOW IT!” So embarrassing!
Thank you, Soaphound! Well said!
Well said, Greg. Carly is just a vile creature which is fine. But the writing afforded to her attempts to prop her up as some kind of heroine.
Minutes before Harmony died, she told Carly that Willow must never know that Nina is her mother. Asked Carly to promise that she would protect Willow!
And Carly chose to adhere to the wishes of a woman who pimped out her minor daughter to a rapist?
Well, she got away with it. For NOW!!
Sometimes people make assumptions before thinking of the full picture
Michael need to tell Sonny and Carly once he confirms with Martin or tell Sonny that it was Martin. Sonny can find out for his self that Nina is the RAT. Nina always plays the victim after she causes so much damage. Willow probably won’t speak to Nina since she love Drew. Carly may be vile but she owns and accepts her miscomings. Whereas Nina is vile and blames everyone else for her own doings. . She has done a lot of damages in Sonny family so he need to see true vindictive Nina. Anyway Sonny was seeing a blond hair women in his dream when he lost his memory and we all know that was Carly NOT Nina. So enough of Nina vindictive/victim mentality. Expose Nina for all to see. Christine can see the true Nina since she is obviously blinded. The writers have dragged this out way too long. So expose Nina so Sonny and Carly can unite as one to fight Ciruis and save Port Charles!!!!
Carly owns and takes accountability for her crimes? On what planet? Moreover, no one around her holds her accountable for her crimes.
For the record, Satan is exactly right and Nina belongs down there with him.
Just a little quibble…there is no Catholic priest on the planet that would keep marrying Sonny.
Shari, thank you for pointing out the weirdness of Sonny continuing to get married in the Catholic Church. That is even more ridiculous than a one-day SEC investigation!
Fir the record, Satan is exactly wrong. That’s why He is Satan.
Well, in the immortal word of John Lydon… “I could be wrong. I could be right”
But in this case, I’ve been right about this awful Tricky Dick Nixon Falls story all along.
Interesting rumors circulating around Hell right now…..
Could it be, that while we were all paying attention to Mikey’s reaction to his phone call from the “SEC contact” that they threw a major “Easter Egg” at us.
Odd that they actually hired an actor to be on screen for a 2 minute phone call. Even more odd than this actor was only shown from the back of his head. And because we were all waiting for Mikey to hear Nina’s name…. we might have missed the significance of that moment completely.
The clip is up on the offfical GH YouTube channel with the title “On Behalf of a Client”. Freeze the video at 2:28 where the unknown caller is on screen, and tell me what you see.
A Devil can’t be 666% sure about this, but I think I see somebody whose arrival I have been expecting in Port Charles for months now. The CEO of Pikeman himself.
Now how he would know that Nina was the one who narced out Drew & Carly…. that’s one Hell of a question. But why he would give that info to Mikey… well that’s easy enough. It would feed the pattern of chaos he’s been sowing in the Corinthos organziation ever since this whole Dex/Pikeman/Pawtuck clusterphuck began.
I didn’t like Michael threatening Marty and wish he had told Michael to go to hell. Kind of surprised he folded so easy. As others say, it was wrong what Carly and Drew did but it sure made me think less of Nina with her vindictiveness, jealousy, etc. With all her rotten behavior, I have to pity for her when and if Sonny dumps her ass.
On another note, who actually believes Blaze was there to see her Abuela? She’s got a thing for Kristina, pure and simple and it must be pretty strong for her to fly that far to see her.
I could believe that Blaze had a grandma in Puerto Rico. But considering she was at a meeting with Lucy & Maxie in one scene and then on the island all dressed up in the same episode… I’m not sure when she would have had the time to visit Abuela. Apparently it’s an 8 hour flight from Buffalo to Puerto Rico (Buffalo being the closest actual airport to where Port Charles would be) so Blaze had one HELL of a busy day.
Glad that Sonny is coming back from his Honeymoon early and hopefully Michael will tell him the truth about Nina and her big mouth.

Kelly Sullivan Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’s’ Maura West Recalling When Ava Shot Connie (Exclusive)

It was just over 13 years ago on General Hospital when Ava Jerome (Maura West) shot and killed Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in an effort to keep her quiet from revealing that Derek Wells was actually Ava’s back-from-the-dead brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry). It’s a crime that somehow Ava never has quite paid for either.
The episode back aired on August 13, 2013 and viewers had to say goodbye to Kelly Sullivan who played Kate and her alter, Connie. In the story, just before she died, Kate/Connie scrawled the letters AJ in her own blood, initially making the PCPD and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) think that it was AJ Quatermaine (Sean Kanan) who did the deed.
Now, Sullivan recalled sharing scenes with the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning West, during a live conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel. Kelly was the special guest talking about her recent return to the soaps in her new role as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Darcy Dylan.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF MAURA WEST
Speaking of her final GH scenes and working with Maura West, Sullivan gave her then GH co-star major props. “If you’re going to be shot by somebody (on the soaps), you want to be shot by Maura West, c’mon!”
Maura West debuted back in May 2013 as Ava, and Sullivan remembered when the As the World Turns favorite began on GH. “I remember when Maura West first arrived at GH. She walked in with this cute little bob (hairdo) and she’s just delicious,” shared Sullivan.
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
Kelly revealed more about Maura, adding “I think she’s amazing! I remember right before I left the show, someone suggested, and I would still love to do this with her, if she ever want to, but someone suggested that they wanted to direct the stage play A Streetcar Named Desire with Maura and I, where I would play Stella and she would play Blanche! Wouldn’t that be great?”
Speaking of the Ava/Connie showdown scenes, Sullivan expressed, “On television and on General Hospital specifically, Maura West is able to play a character who does the most horrendous things and you still care about her and that’s the mark of a really great actor. In other words, you’re able to be liked in the midst of the most horrendous things, and as a performer not shying away from that, and to just have the courage to do what’s on the page (in the script).”

KELLY SULLIVAN PARTING THOUGHTS AS SHE LEFT GENERAL HOSPITAL
Kelly also shared her sentiments when she walked off the set of General Hospital after her run back in August of 2013. “I really was honored. Every day I would go to work and I would say a little prayer, which is I want to do justice for my character, explained Kelly. “It’s between me and my character. I get to walk this path with her and to leave the show on that note, which is, I left every out there. I just gave it my all and again what an honor it was to play Kate/Connie.”
You can catch the full conversation with Kelly where she talks about her time on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner and now The Bold and the Beautiful below.
So, do you remember the Ava and Connie scenes where Ava shot and killed her? What did you think of Kelly Sullivan’s sentiments about Maura West? Share your thoughts via the comment section. But first, watch the reveal where Ava recalls murdering Connie below!

Steve Burton Reportedly Signs Three-Year Contract with ‘General Hospital’

The question of will Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) stay awhile at General Hospital after his recent extended hiatus from the show earlier this year, has reportedly been answered.
TMZ via court documents obtained in Burton’s ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Sheree Gustin, shared that Steve actually inked a new three year deal with the ABC soap opera back in June.
That is significant because it was June when Burton returned back to work as Jason. In addition, the court filing confirmed that Burton had already moved back to California from Tennessee.

STEVE’S HIATUS AND HIS RETURN TO PORT CHARLES
GH fans will recall, it was back in February of 2026, that Burton announced via his Instagram that he was stepping away from his role of Jason Morgan for short break and pointed to wanting to spend quality time with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom Burton with whom he tied the knot back on May 17, 2025.
Steve expressed at that time, “I’m newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.” It was back on March 25 that viewers saw Jason carted away by the WSB after taking the fall for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) who shot then WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Burton returned to work on June 1, and due to General Hospital taping roughly six weeks ahead of air, made his on-screen comeback on the July 13 episode.
GOING FOR GOLD AT THE UPCOMING DAYTIME EMMYS
Then, Steve and his enduring fans got an extra special treat on the same day, when it was revealed on Extra that he was nominated for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.
Steve previously won in the Supporting Actor category for his work as General Hospital’s Jason in 1998 and as The Young and the Restless’ Dylan McAvoy in 2018.
Now with Jason and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship seemingly hitting the skids, plus Jason’s commitment to staying out of mob life to focus on being present for his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), what does the future hold for the fan favorite character? Stay tuned.
So, happy to hear that Steve Burton signed a new three year deal with General Hospital? Knowing that, what storyline would you like to see Jason get involved and with who? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason and Britt Reach an Impasse; Is This the End of Their Relationship?

On the Friday, September 11 episode of General Hospital, Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship becomes strained to potentially the point of no return.
Things take a turn when an unglued Britt having been traumatized by almost being killed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) asks Jason to back her up with the PCPD when she reports Anna for attempted murder.
However, Jason told Britt, he can’t. Jason shares that he does not believe Anna would have gone through with shooting her. Therefore, Britt was not in any real imminent danger. Britt is flabbergasted and hurt that Jason is refusing to tell the police what he actually witnessed for himself on Mount Emerson.

BRITT WANTS BACK UP FROM JASON
Jason counters that he can’t believe that Britt would want Anna punished. or sent to prison, or a mental facility after the trauma she endured while being locked up and mentally tortured while at Wyndemere.
He asks Britt, “How could you even say that you want her locked up or prosecuted for what she did when you knew she was being held prisoner and you did nothing to save her?” Britt is stunned by Jason’s response.
Coming up, official General Hospital spoilers share that on the upcoming Monday, September 14 episode, Jason confides in Carly (Laura Wright), while Britt is stung. In the video preview that aired at the end of the Friday, September 11 episode for this coming Monday, Britt says to Jason, “You don’t believe me. Do you?”
General Hospital head scribes, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte previously teased in their fall preview of the soap, “Britt and Jason have come a long way and fought a lot of enemies to be together. But the most stubborn obstacle to their happiness isn’t without, it’s within. Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”
So, what do you think will happen? Will Jason and Britt break-up over Britt’s lies and Jason’s unwillingness to report Anna’s crime against her? Do you want Jason and Britt to go their separate ways? If they do, will Britt become romantically involved with Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) ? If so, who do you pair Jason with? Anyone? Weigh-in via the comment section.
