GENERAL HOSPITAL: Spencer Professes his Undying Love to Trina, as Esme Looms To Destroy Their Happiness
Oh boy! Brace yourselves Sprina fans. If you caught the Tuesday, January 30th episode of General Hospital, then you know that Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) exchanged such tender and heartfelt words to each other, and that can only mean one thing, something is about to tear them apart and from all accounts that is going to be Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).
In story, Spencer arranges a private cruise on the Seine as a surprise to Trina. He blindfolds her as he gets her on the boat, then reveals their little trip. Trina is overwhelmed and tells Spencer how grateful she is for all the things he has done for her and how amazing it feels to be loved by him. She adds that Spencer is such an incredible person.
Returning the sentiments, Spencer opens his heart and says, that before Trina all he could see in front of him was pain. It was her that opened his eyes to this possibility of a whole new world. Spencer adds that every day with Trina gets better and that he will love her for the rest of his life. Next, the two share a passionate kiss.

However, Esme who stowed away on the boat, is watching the two lovebirds. She mutters that that they can’t steal away from her that easy. Next, we see her open her backpack to reveal a syringe filled with ‘something’ and duct tape.
Meanwhile in Port Charles, everyone figures out that Esme in in Paris, which sends Laura (Genie Francis), Portia (Brook Kerr) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) to decide to meet Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) there immediately.
Realizing Sprina are in trouble, Laura tries to call Spencer, but the connection is bad, while Portia tries to call Trina, but Trina’s phone went to voice mail.

Back on the deck of the boat, the captain catches Esme. She grabs a fire extinguisher and knocks him over the head with it, knocking him out and then she drags him off. She says to herself, she had to do it to help find her son.
Trina and Spencer head to their room. While they kiss, Trina yawns from the long trip to Paris. Eventually, they hit the sheets. Later, Spencer tells Trina that he’s starving and is going to run and grab a snack while she rests.

Next, Spencer comes across a blood soaked deck and the extinguisher. Cut to – Trina putting her clothes on and when someone walks in the room, thinking its Spencer, she turns around only to find Esme.
So, what did you think of Spencer’s heartfelt words to Trina? In the soap world that can only mean … something will go down to keep them apart and on today”s Wednesday January 31st episode of GH, it marks the final airdate for Nick Chavez while he films “Monsters.” Will Trina finally take down Esme? Will Esme hurt Trina and then Spencer? Share your theories via the comment section below.
Sure, budgets are tight, but couldn’t Frank spend a little to make the ship look less like the Haunted Star with a French sign?
Couldn’t happen on the show, but IRL, if Laura had a son (an ex-cop) that lived in Europe, she would’ve called Lucky to check on his nephew before boarding a 7-hour flight to Paris. At least they wrote in that Ned lent her the ELQ plane.
Eagerly anticipating to see how they’ll write Spencer out. Assuming Chavez comes back for a short stint before his contract runs out.
Elsewhere, thank God for Tracy – the smartest character on the show. She wrapped up the dullest storyline line in two episodes. She & Gregory have chemistry and both of them make Finn more tolerable.
Ava & Sonny – it’s going there.
Brennan is the character we didn’t know that we needed. Mesure is darned good.
I really love the Actress playing Esme, all I’m hoping is that they’re not trying to make her too evil and then get rid of her. Avery Pohl is to talented and hope Esme can still be reformed. and just how long is Nicholas Chavez gonna be gone? the show knew he was gonna go do this show for Netflix obviously they let him, so why didn’t they film some extra scenes for them to stretch out so he would n’t be offscreen so long.?
Actors have guaranteed number of episodes in which they appear. Their salary is based on those episodes. GH may be pushing pause on Chavez’s contract to maximize his time once he returns from filming the miniseries.
Leave Trina in Paris forever. Keep Spencer and Esme.
Guess we should have known that any storyline on a ship ends with someone going over board.
And Esme has already shown she can survive a dive.. perhaps she will suffer a memory loss again..
And we also know that nobody ever dies from “drowning” on GH. Just ask Sonny. Or Jason. Or Esme, for that matter.
And while it’s true that Alex Devane & Psycho Nelle haven’t been seen lately, well… they ain’t down here in Hell, and there’s zero chance either would go the other direction, so you can bet your soul they will be back eventually. My unholy prediction? Spencer’s alleged drowning will be witnessed by his father Nikolas, who just by odd coincidence happened to be hiding out in Paris himself at the time. You probably won’t see him, but he and Spencer will return to Port Charles together, most likely in the summer.
Well, Julian Jerome was shot then fell
In the water. Going way back, Katherine Bell perished on her second fall from the parapet. Did she hit the rocks or the water?
Cassandra Pierce is probably out there, but was it an explosion or drowning?
We’re likely to see Nikolas a lot sooner than when Spencer returns. Huss has been hitting the publicity circuit, so I doubt he’s gone for long.
Esme’s kind of played out. Only interesting thing would be to incarcerate her with her mother.
Julian actually died from bullet wounds just before the bridge collapsed so he was already dead. I believe Katherine died from the fall itself, not drowning. And Cassandra got blown into little chunks of fish food, as far as I know.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
