GENERAL HOSPITAL: Tracy Leaves for Amsterdam to Put Luke’s Affairs in Order with Bobbie; “Eddie” Takes a Leap of Faith
On Wednesday’s episode of General Hospital, Jane Elliot wrapped her recent return to the ABC daytime drama series in her signature role of Tracy Quartermaine.
In story, Tracy announced she has packed her bags and is leaving to join Bobbie in Amsterdam to help her put Luke’s affairs in order. Before she makes her exits, she, of course, has some choice words for Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) to get Ned (Wally Kurth) to snap out of his current state as “Eddie Maine.”
Tracy wants Olivia to move things along to get Ned back to being a “Q”. Olivia thinks she shouldn’t push him. Meanwhile, “Eddie” is struggling to finish his song about the ‘siren’, the ‘girl’ he can’t quite envision. While he is getting frustrated, Lois (Rena Sofer) comes upon the scene.

Lois gives “Eddie” some advice on how to finish the song, and tells him he has to ‘take a leap of faith’. Inspired by Lois’ words, Eddie heads out to the boathouse to try to finish his lyrics.
Olivia believes she is doing right by ‘Eddie’ by giving him some space, but then confronts Lois and says because of it, there’s room for someone else to slip in, alluding to Lois making a play for Ned/Eddie, her ex-husband. Knowing Tracy put a bug in her ear about this, Lois tells Olivia to go to the boathouse and help Eddie, after all she is his wife.

Brook Lynn arrives home home to see her grandmother leaving town. Sadly, Tracy informs her she’s going to Amsterdam to deal with Luke’s affairs. Before she goes, Tracy brings up Deception to Brook Lynn and how she can have it and run it. However, Brook Lynn flatly turns down her offer, which Lois comes upon and tells her daughter to think about the offer before just throwing it away. Before she leaves, Tracy and Brook Lynn share a hug.

Meanwhile, at the boathouse, “Eddie” is hearing voices and jumps into the water. Olivia comes looking for him only to find his shirt, and no “Eddie”.
So, are you sad to see Jane Elliot end her most recent run on GH? Do you think the show will incorporate how Tracy is meeting Bobbie in Amsterdam as a way to also write-off the character of Bobbie to address the death of Jackie Zeman? What do you think about “Eddie” jumping into the water? Will he finally become Ned again? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.
If “Eddie” jumping into the water somehow magically turns him back into Ned, it will be even stupider than “pinecone-gate” on B&B.
Also, I’m sad to see Tracy leave town again – I was hoping she would have more sparring sessions with Lois. Hopefully she will be back for the holidays, with news of Bobbie’s passing, so they can give the character a proper exit.
Tracy will be missed.
Not in my opinion. I’m glad to see her go, also I don’t care how Ned gets his memory back, just do it. Also clean up his face.
I am glad to see Tracy leave. I just wish she would have taken Austin, Mason, Nina, Adam, Cyrus with her and that they would not return. Need some interesting but not drug out storylines. Put Anna with Sonny, Cody with Sasha, leave dex and Joss alone to be happy, find someone better for Carley. Make Chase and Brooklyn more exciting. Give Michael back his backbone. Split Dante and Sam up or make them more exciting. Let Spencer crawl to Esme and let Trina find someone better. Get rid of Portia since her role is not good. Give Curtis his legs back and let him go back to his first wife. End the Ned/Eddie saga. Enough is enough. Stop dragging the plots. It takes forever to get through one and by the time it’s over, we are bored with it.
Who’s Adam? I don’t know Adam and I’ve been watching for about 40 years. I know no Adam
Adam is Joss’ class mate who it appears is having emotional issues caused by pressure from parents that expects 100% from him. A 98% passing grade was not enough
The Adam character is the son of Maurice Bernard
Adam is Joss’ friend (played by MB’s son)
Adam is Joss’ study partner who is studying to be a doctor.
I tjought the same thing never heard of an adam on GH
Dorm mate of Joss. They have been studying together and he has a crush on her. He seems depressed.
Adam (Maurice Bernard’s son, Joshua) is the student at PCU studying with Joss.
Adam is the college student and he’s Maurice’ real life son.
Adam is the kid “stalking” Joss….Maurice Bernard’s real-life son…
I believe he’s Josses study buddy, lol
Are we talking about gh don’t know any Adam I have been watching this show since fresco ,Tony and Bobby
He goes to college with joss they study together he is Sonny’s son in real life
The thought of Anna and Sonny together is detestable. Almost as bad as her with Luke or Sonny with Emily.
Sonny and Ana are friends and nice he is friends with Laura
and alexis and goood and bad with Ava .but Nina how could he marry her .if he doesn’t want Carly back in his life then bring back brenda to bounce on Nina. Ha aha
That really would be interesting. Sony and Brenda were so good together
Yes.! Brenda and Sonny!
I agree
Agreed! What’s wrong with Anna and Sonny being great friends! Not everyone has to have nooky! Lol! Their friendship has never been forced and it flows naturally. And I happen to love Valentin with Anna!
I agree with Sher!
FINALLY!! You nailed it!!! Although, I’ve always wanted to get rid of Elizabeth too. I can’t stand her…but I’m sure the only one that feels.that way.
I agree about getting rid of Elizabeth and that Dr. boyfriend too, who keeps doing weird things with his lips. Really annoying…
Liz is a staple on G. H. Never get rid of her. I’ll have to watch his lips.
I agree. He’s always smiling even when scenes are sad. Why?
I have to agree with most of what u r saying. Things drag on TOO long!!!!
Agreed!!
Why would you even suggest something like getting rid of those actors. They’re ALL doing excellent jobs My advice to you, join the writers team or just watching the GH. PERIOD!!
Agreed, if you don’t like the way the writers are writing, don’t watch!
Haha. Portia is great with Curtis. Sam and Dante are good. Carley and drew are good together. I agree with the rest.
Yes I agree I thought finally put to end on this false Nina good person she is nit and what Michael trag on and don’t tell all ready and now back with calentine and let them suffer and go away ,and should give award for the actress who plays Charlotte but then send away too. Tired of it all Michael and sonny back together now is sad and don’t like this new Kristina and Molly is boring and why can’t Alexis get some returns helping drew out of prison and give her law license back and let her have fun romance make love with some One.
I agree send off Nina valentine off some where and let sonny know in a note out all the lies and will Michael get some bravery in him say something always a chicken and make Curtis well all ready and this stupid story line with the two women wants Curtis who cares all ready .
Who is Adam? And I love the actor who plays Austin I loved him since one life to live and likes him to stink around and hope they don’t screwy with him on gh nice an actor ,not with Ava .I wish they bring back Ava brother she would take care of them
I totally agree
My sentiments exactly
Get rid of all of them.
Sonny needs to be with Carlie, he is a mob boss. He and Anna not a good match. He needs a loyal wife he can trust and who can stand up to the 5 families to protect her family. Lulu needs to wake up and get back with Dante, And Sam needs to be back with Drew.
I’m not bored with it, so please don’t speak for me.
Wow! I couldn’t have said it better. I agree with everything you said, except I don’t want Esme with Spencer, but I also don’t like his pairing with Trina. I still want Jason back.
Exactly!!
So basically you just don’t want a show that doesn’t center around Carly. The Narly fans are the worst things about GH. They think that the show is made exclusively for her character and no one else. They make it so unpleasant to be apart of any groups dealing with GH
About time Ned starts to remember his wife
Hey it’s a soap …lol….and Ned getting his memory back is fine with me…this has been one dragging storyline with this amnesia…we had one with Sonny and that was hard enough to watch…bring back Ned so we can wrap up the Nina blowup please…as for Tracy leaving again I’m bummed ..I love Tracy who brings that much needed spark to The Qs since Monica is off the scenes now except for in voice…I too hope she will return for the holidays which will be a sad time because i too think she will bring the news of Bobbys passing. When that happens I would like to have Tracy meet with Carly to personally tell Carly and I’m sure both actors will showcase their wonderful acting skills …I can see Tracy being her empathetic caring self towards Carly ..I think it will be worthwhile to see.
Would be interesting if Carly and Tracey be came friends to get even with people that were stupid evil.but don’t know if they liked each other
If Tracy is not planning on any more reoccurring rolls. They could kill both her and Bobby off in Amsterdam, or on in a plane crash.
I agree with each of you❤️❤️❤️
I love Jane as (Tracy ). She is such a great actress. I do hope she comes back soon. I love her character.
Never was so thrilled to see someone leave! That witch was a thorn in everyone’s side.
Me too, I can’t stand her. Brooklyn should take the 51 percent, keep one 1 percent and give the rest back to Deception. It would make things a lot better with her friends..
Feel bad for Brooklyn in all this mess she got her self into ,she should make up her mind all ready
That’s why I love the Tracy character so much!
Violet – you’re fighting City Hall on this one.
Safe assumption that most loyal viewers treasure any moments we get with Tracy. With Leslie Charleson not appearing, Scotty, Laura and Tracy are the only characters from the 1970s still on the active canvas (Robert joined in 1980).
Just sad they couldn’t figure out a way to have Tracy do a voiceover call or overheard through the door conversation with Monica.
Wouldn’t be surprised if this is a temporary departure and she’s back in a few months. It’s definitely the start of Bobbie’s exit story.
Yes, I know I would get all kinds of flack from my statement, I’ve always been a minority here, but my joy got the better of me. She’s a hateful old woman that I’ve never been able to take. I know she has a back-handed way of doing good things but I cant always see it as others do.
Tracy is a wonderful, very intelligent and talented, crafted character not to many women can play that type of character, many, many to her as a professional, and to the writers too. If you hate her that much is because she is excellent at her job.
So you’re one of those who only likes very one dimensional characters, huh?
That’s what makes her character so great! I wish she’d never leave again.
Hmm Ttacy? People cry to have legacy characters BACK… not gone.
Amen to that. Good riddance to the wicked witch of the West!!
It really looked to this Devil like Jane was having a hard time getting through these scenes, so I suspect this is somehow leading up to how they’re going to write Bobbie’s death into the show. I really hope they don’t go with the plane crash cliche, since that’s how they wrote Victor Kiriakis out on Days… and then followed it up with some cheesy sub plots that made no sense at all.
Using the Fuzzy Devil Math calculator in my brain, I don’t think GH could be back on the scripts written by the “real” writers yet, but maybe the scabs were told to write it this way as a prelude to the actual Bobbie storyline, which would be written by the real writers upon their return.
As for Ned’s memories coming back just because he jumped in the water? I only WISH it were that easy, but somehow I doubt it. I do believe that Lois’s presence is somehow thawing out his brain, even if only on the subconscious level for now, so hopefully the process won’t take too much longer.
I love Tracy’s character… she plays it so well! Love her hair
BLQ and Chase need to end she should get Tom Hardy Jr as her love interest played by Lamon Archey.
Was so disappointed to see Jane Elliot leave again as our beloved “Tracy.” Her departure was handled very poorly IMO. She never said goodbye to her friends Finn and Gregory…. didn’t even have her bod her son goodbye. Very poor writing for such an iconic character. Quite disgusted actually. Makes me not even feel like watching a show with such bad writing…
Tracy definitely belongs in General Hospital and an icon for so many years! Plays her part so well, will miss her and hope she returns soon, and yes give Bobbie her perfect send off for another icon of GH! Rest in peace Jackie and Tyler Christopher
Well said thanks
Yes she does
Tracy helping Bobby is their way of them to conclude Barbara, character and Ned/Eddie ,is his way of recapturing Ned memories.
I love Tracy she makes the show interesting and funny. A typical rich grandma.
I don’t understand are they writing out bobby as dead or just ???.
Ned,good old Ned. Sometimes in life as a business owner myself you just want to be someone else, but reality kicks in. He needs to get his memory and still do both as a musician and a business man.
Keep the actress on the show!!! She is one of the best the show has to offer!!! Don’t lose her again! Long live, Tracy! Well, at least with Jane Elliott!
I agree thst Tracy should stay on GH. We need another older actress on the show.
I’m not a soap writer – but it would have been so easy – have Bobbi visiting her son, the remaining Spencer’s fly to be with her after a sudden hospitalization…. and she passes with her family.
Or, Bobbi was seldom seen the past year…. one day Bobbi does not show up for work – very odd- Michael is contacted to check on his grandmother… finds her passed away….
At least don’t have her killed off by Cyris….
I think Ned will come back because he was having flashes and remembering moments with his daughter and Olivia. Maybe they’re going to do what they did with Sonny and blend Ned and Eddie into “Neddie”.
Why is Tracy leaving town with Bobby when she passed away months ago?
That was disturbing to say the least.
Reality vs Story.
The actress who plays Bobbie passed away. The show has not addressed her character’s fate. Huge difference.
Love Jane. Love Tracy. It must be a blast for Jane to portray Tracy. I will miss Tracy. I have good laughs whenever there’s a Tracy episode.
I think Tracy must be in GH because she brings in a very dynamic character in GH, she’s a very strong and ambitious character, an actress that knows her craft well, and she does an excellent job . The Jackie Z/ Bobbie is another story, she was an actresses that played a character that evolved into someone else so many times that people adored, she needs more respect and love when she’s send off, beautiful woman, mother and actress.
Charlotte is really bad she needs to get caught, enough she’s a child. Please don’t make her a criminal, she’s such a smart, talented actress …
I hate to see Tracy go, but I think it will be used to facilitate the exit of the Bobby Spencer.
It will be a really heartbreaking storyline, but I hope they give it as much justice as they did with Epiphany’s exit.
Jacky Zeman was an icon of GH and deserves a glorious send off.
All signs point to a return of character Luke Spencer returning to general hospital
Yes I do think this is a time that he’s going to remember that he is Ned
Why Tracey to leave I thought she was going to take quartermain business person .and see if Ned came back .and hope that Olivia get to keep Ned or Eddie .it is nice to see Lois again ,
She sure has such gorgeous blue eyes.
It wa# nice that Tracey messaged Bobbie but was sad because was past tense now because she is gone and never got her tribute of who she was and can’t do a scene with anyone again ,I think that actress got cheated ,she is gone now and was a main character that show have have something of tribute with passing of her story line a little about Bobby spencer passing to as much as the lady actress her self not fair disappointment in abc /gh.I loved Tracey came back and also like the only leader of the family left since they put Monica on a stupid business trip never to return and makes her look bad as she cares for her family and makes her look like she has not and should give her some respectful lending if she is not returning and if in real life some thing bad happened to her and how she left good or bad is sad and thiught abc was better then that and gh should give long time respect to there actor and give some to her fans complete.Tracey was great .sorry to see her go but was a nice visit and a great actress always and they should get special awards to Tracey ,Bobby ,Monica for all done and sorry thiught was waste to bring up Luke why not included Laura to in this trip
Is so sad of the person who plays Mac I thiught he finally have a chance of having a story line and find out he has a child all these years .and why don’t Robert and him ever work together anymore and help him with the true a happy ending for the actor playing Mac and hope he comes back he is truly a good guy thankful all these years and hope gets better soon
I hope Olivia finds Eddie/Ned .but what does the actor who plays him I wonder want character he likes more does he have a say in this .
I am mad why is the writers ruins Anna history ha ,why not pick on valentine and Nina history is babe all she has done is very bad ,poor Anna ,she need some love
I think that Eddie will come back as Ned.
Somehow, the Eddie story line must end. That’s all I have to say about that.
Tracy is a classic stable of GH, she is one of the reasons I watch. She deserves a visible ongoing storyline, even from Amsterdam.
I think the Jackie Zeman’s memorial celebration is way overdue and deserves stand alone attention. There is no need to tie anyone to Jackie but Jackie, If there is a tie-in it should be Carley reflecting on Luke and Jackie.
I can’t wait for JASON return, his contract is almost over at B&B AND I heard BRENDA AS Well Bye NINA
I think putting lukes affairs in order are a waste of time. He is still alive snd so is jason and that will come to light sometime in the future.
Yup, yup!
I think it’s about time that GH says good bye to jackie( bobby, after all she’s been on so long . I’ve watched GH from the very first day , got my mother and also my grandmother hooked on it. Grandmother thought how foolish this program was but it didn’t take her long before she was a fan, loving everyday to watch it ( only on for 30 min back then) she would tell how she thought it should be ( she had all planned out her story ways Haa bless her!
I’m with her the writers seem to drag the story lines way to long, sometimes get bored while waiting for them to end them!!!
Let’s give Jackie a honorable good bye! With love & respect, she deserved it
Knowing that the writer’s strike delayed many of these storylines for months, I’m glad to see things moving along now. Bobbie has been in Amsterdam sorting out Luke’s affairs for months and months. (How complicated can it be?) But I imagine that Tracy will be the one returning to PC to let folks know Bobbie passed away over there. (At least, I hope they finally can get to the tribute for Jackie.)
As for Eddie/Ned…if Bobbie can take months to sort out her brother’s affairs, how long can Ned/Eddie hold his breath in the frigid Fall waters of upstate NY? Let’s see…Anything just so I don’t have to hear that damn song again.
Of course I’m sad to see Tracy leave. Jane Elliot is one of the most talented and compelling actresses in GH history. Every time she returns, it’s a gift to viewers. As for the Bobbie twist, yes, I’m sure this is how they’ll finally pay tribute to Jaclyn Zeman. I hope it’s an amazing tribute worthy of her.
The Eddie jumping into the water stuff was one of the dumbest things on GH in a long time. Clearly the scab writers had no idea how to wrap that storyline up. I LOVE seeing Lois back, but I hope it’s done soon.
Bring back Tracy
Love General Hospital.
I’m so sick of all the negativity towards Nina. The woman has been through hell created by her own mother, husband and best friend When she came to PC it was just to start her life over. Any women that wants to be a mother and be denied that or have it taken from them. Would be reasonably upset being betrayed by your mother, husband Clay and best friend Ava. Hearing that the person who caused your accident while you were pregnant is expecting. After you spent 20 in a coma awaking still to yet another nightmare. To discover that those same persons who caused your accident had a child together. It sent her over the edge she lost complete touch with reality. She had no one to pull her off the edge. She went to jail and than discovered afterwards that her mother lied about the death of her baby. She hasn’t known not one day of peace. Her mother continued to lie to her by telling her that their was only one baby. When in fact there were twins. One baby was given away and the other stolen. Than others find out the identity of her children and proceed to keep it from her because they don’t like her or the daughter. I understand being angry at her lack of judgement by reacting inappropriately according to them. She couldn’t make him do anything that he didn’t want to do. He didn’t want to deal with his past life. Everyone attempted to get him to do so. She tried to tell Carly about finding Mikeson. Carly went for her jugular without even trying to listen to anything that she had to say. The sting of her words made her shutdown. How do you keep saying that she should have tried again. How much more pain was she supposed too accept from Carly and her family. She finally helped Sonny see the truth he needed to face his past. So, those that don’t like her it was okay for them to withhold information from her. She didn’t withhold information, she just gave in to Carly meanness and just let Sonny find out the truth on his own. She’s not perfect and she’s not worse than Carly. These two women are two sides of the same coin. They both made numerous mistakes their mistakes are done out of love and fear. Nina has apologized for her mistakes. Her pain always causes her to react. That’s what she needs to control.
The current writers are boring. Every scene plays just a tiny part and they move onto the next story line without completing the whole scene. I been watching GH for 50 years and it get more stupid.

‘General Hospital’s’ Dominic Zamprogna Shares He Was ‘Happy to Hear’ of The Triangle Storyline Developing Between Dante/Elizabeth/Ric

General Hospital’s Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) opened up about the burgeoning love triangle forming between his Port Charles alter-go, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) after recently aired scenes, plus his hopes for the future of a Dante and Liz pairing, during his appearance on the Sunday, April 23 edition of the That’s Awesome podcast with Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli).
On last week’s episodes of GH, Ric has made the decision that he wanted to propose to his ex-wife, only when he showed up at Elizabeth’s front door, he misread the scenario he walked in with Liz tending to Dante’s injured leg from the softball game. From there, the legal eagle’s jealous streak is reemerging which may cause him to act out and do something unforgivable, or will he take the high road? Stay tuned.
Speaking with Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson about where Elizabeth stands in the annals of the long-running soap, Zamprogna said, “She’s up there with Steve and Maurice (Maurice Benard) as one of the most legacy-filled people on the show.”

HOW DANTE AND ELIZABETH CAME ABOUT
Dominic jokes it’s a far cry for where Dante and Elizabeth previously, recalling, “We had some scenes together years ago and we were both laughing. Becky’s like, ‘Well, I guess we’re not going be paired up anytime soon.’ I remember we laughed immediately after they yelled ‘cut,”‘and said to each other, ‘Well, so much for that!'”
Fast-forward to early 2025 and as Zamprogna remembered it, “Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) came up to me at the General Hospital Christmas party, and I think it was a year and a half ago and she said, ‘We’re going to have you in scenes with Elizabeth,’ My internal monologue is going, ‘I’m not with Lulu (Alexa Havins) anymore and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) gone, so maybe they want to see if this works.’ I didn’t want to get scenes with Becky and try to find the chemistry. I just wanted to play whatever honestly was written and came across for both of us and hope it was what people liked, and I don’t know if it is … or not.”
Knowing how beloved Elizabeth is to the GH faithfuls, Zamprogna added, “She got a big fan base with Ric … and a big fan base with with Jason … and you know, you’re going to piss somebody off. But, didn’t Ric drug Elizabeth and put Carly in a panic room?”

Photo: ABC
DANTE AND ELIZABETH PAIRING COULD STIR UP STORY FOR OTHERS IN PORT CHARLES
In closing, Dominic felt that the wide-reaching tentacles of a Dante and Elizabeth relationship is something he is 100% down for. “The triangle thing; I was happy to hear it was with Ric and her, because I felt it’s important to have her the top of it as opposed to Dante, Lulu and Elizabeth.”
Zamprogna added, “When you get into relationships on a soap, things seem to fizzle out a little bit, The buildup is what’s the fun part, and the getting to know each other, and the people who are affected by this coming together. When with this case it’s going to affect: Ric, Sonny, Lulu. There’s so much more story here. To me, it’s going to be a fun story to play.”
You can check out Dominic’s visit to That’s Awesome with Steve and Bradford below.
Now weigh-in: Are you rooting for Dante and Liz, or Dante and Ric at this juncture of the story, or neither guy for Elizabeth? Let us know your thoughts and picks via the comment section.

GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)

At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”
Take note! If there are any investment bankers or private equity folks among the GH faithful looking for a young analyst next year, Patrick’s DMs are open. You can find him on X at @PatrickJGibbons.”
So, what did you think of the song sung by Trina on today’s GH that was written by Patrick J. Gibbons? Did you enjoy Patrick’s performances as One Life’s Sam and GH’s Wyatt? Would you like to see him back on GH at some point? Let us know via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Admits That He Didn’t Expect the Role of Michael Corinthos to be Recast, and Would Consider Working on Another Soap (Exclusive)

Chad Duell, the Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who stepped away from the pivotal role of Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, opened up about: his previous decision to leave the series after nearly 15 years, where’s he’s at now after time away from the demands of a daytime soap opera, and took a stroll down memory lane with some of Michael’s most-acclaimed storyline during his run, during a livestream chat on August 19 on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.
Viewers last saw Duell on-screen as Michael in January of 2025, and with his successor in the role, Rory Gibson making his debut at the GH Nurses’ Ball in episodes that aired later in May. It was clear that during the conversation, Chad was a bit surprised that the GH brass decided to recast him when he thought he was just taking some much needed time off.
Burn-out of the daily grind of being on a soap was definitely a part of Chad’s decision to take a break. Duell explained “People know when you’re doing something for so long or your character is kind of in the same place for so long or doing the same stuff over and over again, you do get a a little burnt out, you get a little stiff, stale, a little stiff at times. I didn’t want that to be any sort of lasting impression. I have 15 years of a body of work of I’ve done on that show, which is fantastic.”

WHILE CHAD WAS AWAY GH RECAST MICHAEL CORINTHOS WITH RORY GIBSON
Chad shared, his mindset when leaving GH was, “I’m taking some time away, we’ll see what happens.” Then he added, “Obviously, they decided to go in a different direction with Michael when I was gone. I didn’t think they were going to bring somebody back in my place. But you know, it’s the business. You never know what can happen.”
Duell also shared he has not watched a single episode of General Hospital since he left the series, but now feels he reenergized following the loss of his father and stepping away from the GH, “I’m in a place now mentally, where I’m ready to sink my teeth into it again.”

Even though he is no longer Michael on GH, Chad was very happy with his final storyline where Michael was set on fire when a bomb exploded at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse. “It was fun to put him in a dangerous situation, because I was wanting Michael to be in something scary instead of trying to be a hero character or just things happening around him, but to be the center point of tragedy happening to him. (I always saw) Michael as the heart of the (Corinthos) family.”
When Michael was badly burned the show chose not burn his face, which normally a soap does when they are recasting role and switching actors. Chad weighed-in, “They didn’t burn my face because I told Frank Valentini (EP, GH) I’m willing to come back. It was just a little bit of a break. So, I assumed that if they would have burned my face, they could have brought somebody back looking different than me… if that’s what their plan was.”

MEMORABLE MICHAEL STORYLINES
One of Chad’s most memorable performances was the in the storyline of Michael’s rape while he was sentenced to prison in 2010 and the confession of it in 2011. “It was so well-written and I was very nervous,” recalled Chad. “When I get really nervous about something, it ends up being really good when I do it, because it just means I care a lot about it”
“I have to put a lot of effort and work into it, and I really want it to be good. I was working with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Steve Burton (Jason) a lot during those scenes, and Laura Wright (Carly). It was great working with Steve and Dominic, especially, during that storyline.
A NEW SOAP ROLE FOR CHAD?
As to a future soap opera role, Chad is open to the idea and would love to jump back in to a juicy role, “I know people over at The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. They know that if they’re interested, I would love to come in for a screen test or something, and they can see what I’m doing.”
Meanwhile, Chad has been busy putting out new music under the moniker Duelly and during the interview he explains how he creates his EDM tracks and much more. You can stream his latest single, Static in the Quiet Room on Spotify, Apple Music and You Tube Music.
