GH’s Tanisha Harper On New Leading Man Sawandi Wilson, “I’m Very Fortunate to Work With Him Because That’s Not Always the Case, Especially With Love Interests”
With all the talk in Hollywood about the allegations between Blake Lively and her leading man, Justin Baldoni (ex-Graham, The Bold and the Beautiful) in the film, It Ends with Us, and the lawsuits and counter lawsuits, this is clearly a case where two people did not get along (and that’s an understatement) as love interests.
In fact, former RHOBH star, Bethenny Frankel, offered up her opinion when watching the two in the movie together via her Instagram, which she said it was clear that Blake seemed awkward in the romantic scenes with Justin, sharing “Her energy with Justin was off,” and it was “cringy” watching the two together.
Hence, how important it is for you as a performer, especially in daytime, to have a scene partner you can get along with and have on-screen chemistry. On General Hospital, Tanisha Harper’s Jordan Ashford is finally getting a new man in her life, after the fallout from her marriage to Curtis Ashford back in 2021. Enter, Dr. Isaiah Gannon as played by Sawandi Wilson.

It’s clear that the GH is toying with a burgeoning romance between the two characters. Now, Harper weighed-in on her new leading man and the challenges of love stories on the soaps in a conversation with Soap Opera Digest this week.
Tanisha shared that when she first came to GH, she had a lot of anxiety just with the pace of the taping of the show, but that Sawandi handled it much better than she, relating. “He has this wonderful way of pacing himself and not letting it get to him, and that rubs off onto me,” reflected Harper. “He’s a wonderful human being and I’m very fortunate to work with him — because that’s not always the case, especially with love interests.”

And what’s a romance without secretly carrying it on? Due to Jordan trying to take down Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), she and Isaiah have to keep their relationship undercover, literally! “It’s going to be a fun juxtaposition to go undercover, working Sidwell, while having this romantic relationship with this extremely sweet and nurturing doctor,” said Harper.
While the Jordan and Isaiah relationship had been in slow burn mode for months, it looks like coming up things kick into high gear. Tanisha previewed, that the relationship, “really picks up in the next few weeks,”adding“ she’s got to keep (her relationship with Isaiah) hidden so she can do what she needs to do with Sidwell,” and wonders, “Will Isaiah be strong enough to handle a woman like that?”
So, are you enjoying the relationship between Jordan and Isaiah thus far? Intrigued to see how their romance plays out? Will it survive Jenz Sidwell? Let us know via the comment section, and check out Bethenny Frankel’s post below on how on-screen chemistry completely failed for her when watching Blake Lively with Justin Baldoni in ‘t Ends With Us.

Love Isaiah and Jordan together! They’re great!
They could easily be a GH suoer couple. They both are enjoyable to watch.
Love them both….together!v
After all these years, can we get a little more of Jordan’s backstory? What’s her maiden name? Maybe a sibling come for a visit?
She and Isiah do make an attractive and interesting pairing.
I do like Jordan and Isiah together but I still miss Jordan and Curtis.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ava and Drew Revealed to be Behind Framing Sonny for Sidwell’s Prison Beatdown

If you thought that the person responsible for the Pentonville brawl that saw Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) taken to General Hospital was Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or even Sidwell himself, you were dead wrong! On the Wednesday, September 30 episode of GH, it turned out that the culprits were actually Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison).
In story, Drew apparently bankrolled the attack on Sidwell and framing Sonny. He told Ava their planned worked (she came up with it!) but was horrified when Drew informed her that Curtis got caught in the crosshairs. Ava is visibly upset because of her longtime friendship with Curtis’ daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Drew tried to make Ava see the bright side. Curtis was witness to it and his presence will cast doubt on Sonny’s claims to that he had gotten out of the mob and gone legit.
Later, Vito shows up at Drew’s. They informed him that his guy on the inside of the slammer made a big mistake by hurting their friend and ordered him to leave town.

BOATHOUSE BRAWL
In other major developments, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) have a blow out fight as Danny blames his “brother” for the reason Charlotte was sent off to boarding school.
Rocco told off Danny for Charlotte’s (Bluesy Burke) reckless behavior and he explains he had to protect his sister. He went in on Danny saying that his mother Lulu (Alexa Havins) has been right to send Charlotte to boarding school and far away from Danny.
However, Rocco went a bit too far when he shouted, “And if your mom was alive, she would send you away too!” Next, Danny punched out Rocco, leading to a terrible brawl. An angered Danny yells at Rocco to, “Stay away from me and everyone in my family. And don’t you ever mention my mom again!” Danny storms off.

Now alone outside the boathouse, Rocco flashes back to his first kiss with Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi), hoping that his fight with Danny will not escalate and ruin their budding romance. Meanwhile, a bloodied-mouth Danny heads over to Sonny’s and Jason (Steve Burton) is there at the same time. He then admits that he has a bad fight with Rocco and they are both beaten up.
WILL SCOUT WISE UP?
At the end of the episode, Scout, who had a fight with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) over Drew, and who keeps telling everyone how good a man her dad truly is, comes upon a suspicious scene.
Scout hides behind the wall outside Drew’s. She sees her dad, Ava and Vito talking. Next, Scout seems to overhear Vito assuring Drew and Ava that their business dealings are done, and he’ll be leaving Port Charles for good.
So, what did you think of the reveal that Ava and Drew were behind framing Sonny for the prison beatdown of Sidwell (and Curtis)? Do you think Danny and Rocco’s relationship can be repaired, or do you think the teenagers will continue to be at each other’s throats? Finally, do you hope Scout gets a clue and stops thinking her dad walks on air? Weigh-in via the comment section, but first check out how Ava and Drew conspired below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Tanisha Harper on the Future of a Jordan Ashford and Michael Corinthos Pairing

It’s been clear for awhile now that General Hospital has been pushing Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) more into the orbit of Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), leading to speculation that the two will become more than just business associates and friends.
Well, now, Tanisha Harper has confirmed that the long-running ABC soap opera is testing the waters for a Jordan/Michael romance in her discussion with Soap Opera Digest.
The two characters share something in common, in that, they both have suffered severe burns and disfigurement, and they share a common bond working for Aurora Media.

CHEMISTRY TEST
Harper explained, “At first, they were kind of just sprinkling it in; we were starting to do some scenes together here and there. But, I think the writers and Frank Valentini (EP, GH) liked it, and we’ve progressed with that.”
This poses a bit of dilemma for Jordan, who’s boyfriend Curtis Ashford had been sent to Pentonville for assaulting Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), but who just wound up on the receiving end of a prison beat down and landed at the hospital.
All things being equal, Tanisha shared that Michael is fast becoming, “the one person who understands what she’s going through on a deeper level. That makes for a strong connection, and I think the fans are starting to see that connection, too.”
As to if things will escalate and get hot and steamy from herem like any great forbidden love story, Tanisha shared, “That seems to be where we’re headed. In true soap fashion!”
Harper also noted about the future of Jordan and Michael, “We’ll see what the writers have in store for us, but I do think that this could be something really interesting. It’ll make some people mad, and some people will be here for it!”
