GENERAL HOSPITAL: Valerie and Lulu Catfight, Shari Belafonte Debuts As Mayor Lomax, Robert Clues In Anna!

On Tuesday’s General Hospital, the long time coming catfight between rivals Valerie (Brytni Sarpy) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) finally went down.  After Lulu rescues Valerie from the fire in the cabin, Valerie puts two and two together.  She realizes Lulu was in on setting her up and was using Johnny (Brandon Barash) to do it!

Lulu opens her mouth upon Valerie’s goading, an admits she wanted Valerie out of Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) life and for het to go far away and never come back.  Valerie is angered by what she has been put through by Johnny, in part because of Lulu!

Finally, the gloves come off andValerie bitch slaps Lulu, and then Lulu hits back.  Then as they tussle up against the car Valerie says, “I could kill you.”  However, Dante arrives on the scene and things look very bad on Lulu.   Later at GH, where the women are getting checked out for injuries sustained in the fire, Dante levels the boom on Lulu that whatever was left of their marriage, she just trashed it.  Dante heads off to find out how Valerie is doing.  Back at the PCPD, looks like  Johnny is going back to Pentonville for his crimes, with Scott (Kin Shriner) as  the attorney assigned to his case.  There is no love lost between these guys, either!

Elsewhere, Shari Belafonte made her debut as the recast Mayor Lomax and shared her first scenes with Richard Burgi (Paul) and Lisa LoCicero (Olivia).  Lomax was having a tough time watching Olivia with her baby boy, and Liv wanting to breast feed him right in front of her.   Mayor Lomax eventually was going to have Liz arrested.

Tristan Rogers (Robert) was also back illustrating his one-of-a-kind on-screen chemistry with Finola Hughes (Anna).  As Anna is looking for how to bring down Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) and Paul, while wanting retribution for Duke’s death, Robert has some words of advice.  He tells Anna that Paul has the ‘hots’ for her, and that she should play up to him.  Meanwhile, he has someone who has worked all sorts of cases that can be very useful to her.  The doorbell rings and who is there?  Of course, Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery)!

Watch the catfight between Valerie and Lulu below!  What did you think of their scenes? Now who do you want Dante to end up with … Valerie or Lulu?  What did you think of Robert’s advice to Anna for nabbing Paul,  and how Dr. Maddox will now become involved in her investigation? And what were your impressions of Shari Belafonte as Port Charles Mayor Lomax? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

I’m LOVING Robert and Anna, they’re pure magic together.

Michael is so right–“one of a kind chemistry” between Robert and Anna. So great to see them sizzle again. Tristan’s and Finola’s energy picked up and their timing was perfect–and there’s that gleam in both of their eyes. Priceless—give me more of this team–again!

Completely agree… Their in

Perfect harmony.

“beautiful” post Nancy

I was tearing up just watching them… these two don’t even have to say a thing

let alone… watching the brotherly love going on with Mac and Robert

Bam! in walks Anna and she pulls up a bar stool

woah… your word – priceless –

Nancy…Amen!

Nancy, you just KNOW I am applauding your every favorable word about Anna and Robert.
PS> LOVE Mac to death too.

Friends and I laughed our azzes off watching the fire!
That was beyond lame..

It was a stone/cement floor… a candle fall on less than a handful of dried leaves..
Even a small pile of dried leaves when set on fire burn very quickly like poof flash paper and then its over its ash.. just a poof!
No way could that ever start a full blown fire LOL especially on a cement floor..

Val could have easily pushed the loose mouth scarf down by rubbing her chin on her shoulder, any police would know that.
She could have jumped the chair to the open door lol
the whole thing was very stupidly lame .. ahaa! Extra dry!

I do not care about Lulu, Dante and Val, they truly suck big time …..LOL
I like Johnny, wish he would have been used in a much better intriguing drama way..
Love Scorpio, enjoying every second of him since seconds is all there is lol.

Looking forward to Sonny joining the Love Guru Monastery and spreading his peace, joy and love around while wearing his Monk gear and grinning like a hungry monkey..

Back to Lulu, Val and Dante- that is the worst of the worst of couple stuff in decades! lol …embarrassing for GH, indeed…. ahha! ohh dear lord!

Val is very much in shape and we assume in training as a cadet. She didnt have ONE move? I hope she never shows up on my doorstep if I call the police!

What I thought was funny was that Lulu didn’t think to the pull Valerie and the chair out the door. Instead, as everything was burning all around her, she tried to wake Valerie up. And then, when she finally got Valerie untied, rather than dragging her out the door FIRST and then administering CPR, she starts CPR as the fire gets more and more out of control. That was a phony bit of drama that I did not like in an otherwise good episode.

LOL and some said RC was campy ahaaa! at least he wasn’t lame campy..

I agree with all of your points.

Lol…had the EXACT thoughts Melissa! The rationalization I came up with was that Lulu thought she couldnt safsly carry or drag Val thru the surrounding flames so she needed her to be able to stand…I’ve learned to make excuses in the midst of my “oh, this is too ridiculous” moments when watching GH. 😉

Lol, Melissa. My nieces had no school Monday, so they spent the day with me. They both said what you just did. They are age 9 and 11 respectively. The girls yelled out, simultaneously…”Pull her out first !! Pull her out”. Out of the mouth of babes.

Su…pretty sure I wouldn’t want to watch with you and your friends, and probably vice/versa. But glad you had a good time. In watching any soap you have to suspend reality. I have many times, with just the Cassidines for instance.

hi Rose..
yes, but they/J&S make ”suspending reality” lame, really campy lame ..ahaa!
At the least they could give it us with a suspenseful bite to it..

@su000… How right you were !!! when U said RC would be missed…
I was hoping for more from these writers…. very disappointed.
Our show has become DULL and UNEVENTFUL , GH is a shell
of its former self. How long will it take TPTB to realize that this NEW
writing team was not the way to go.

This is the funniest post, su. You are a scream and a half. Now, tell me….what does a hungry monkey look like?
I can’t disagree with you, though. And, Tristan Rogers? Who knew? Wow. What a difference between Robert and Colin. If he is to go back to being Colin, I wish he were given a little bit of a Scorpio personality. Later.

Dante is a tool. Good riddance. Lulu can do much better.

Kudos to the writers for giving Valerie such twisted dialog and making so many viewers dislike her. I know these are fictional characters but if this were real life: The garbage Valerie has been spewing for the past several months about the affair being Lulu’s fault for lying…omg. Lulu’s lying about the Canada adventure was none of Valerie’s business. It doesn’t matter that Dante confided the Canada adventure to Valerie and brought her into it. It was still never her business. It was strictly Lulu’s and Dante’s business. Valerie’s righteous indignant rants have been ballsy and intrusive. There have been several scenes in the last few months where Valerie has invaded Lulu’s personal space, almost in her face, saying it was Lulu’s fault for lying. It is a natural reaction to want to defend your own personal space and get the other person to back away from you. How Lulu waited all these months before finally slapping and smacking Valerie is beyond me. And kudos to the writers yesterday for still making us dislike Valerie just when the tables might have turned in her favor. Viewers might have come around to feeling a little sorry for Valerie yesterday…until she put Lulu into a chokehold and said “I could kill you.” Similar to how she threatened Luke with a knife last year. Valerie is no squeaky clean victim. I suspect the writers will eventually delve into this side of her character. She too has some Spencer blood in her veins and probably has a dark side.

What a great post, Marie. Your last sentence, especially, is something on which to chew. Good point…Dark side, indeed.
I cannot believe Dante’s reaction. Never ever go against one’s spouse. That is sacrilegious. I thought he still loved his wife. Shame on him!! Lulu did a naughty thing. Her thoughts of revenge tainted her thinking. It was the hurt and humiliation which took hold of her life and the good sense God gave her. I can understand that! She never wanted Valerie hurt. But, of course, we all knew it was going to take that turn with Johnny as part of the equation. Yet, even he, did not try to hurt Valerie. That alone actually took me by surprise. Gosh, Johnny strikes me as the guy you hate to love, but can’t help yourself for loving him. Something must be wrong with me because I like him….a lot.

Great points. For me, the way they have written Val, I will never like her. She’s never owned up to her part in this mess. She’s always blamed Lulu. There comes a time when you have to own up to what part you played. I do hope Dante & Lulu can overcome all of this and work thru their issues.

Loved the episode. I think the writing team has found it’s groove. Liked the integration of the socially relevant public breast feeding debate. The only thing I ask is that Olivia and Ava NOT become friends. It looked like they were bonding over their kids. It is unthinkable to me that Olivia would even talk to Ava let alone become friends. Frankly she should be banishing Ava from her hotel entirely. It’s the same reason the Julian / Alexis pairing irks me. Ordering Duke to be killed is an unforgivable act. Julian should have been ushered off the show then. Another instance of a good actor being saddled with a poorly conceived and written character.

On a different note, loving the shout out to my alma mater Wesleyan, but wishing it didn’t involve a sex scandal!

Agreed–“Julian should have been ushered off the show.”‘

100% agree that , Olivia would never disrespect her cousin Connie.

god! I miss these two actors, together.

argh! has GH dropped the ball on a potential love match with Olivia and Julian!
I think these two would smolder and be more lively than Alexis

ie: Ava… GH should pick back up Ava and Traci… that easy banter … meeting of the eye… two formidable women… why not?

Hi Patrick. Tracy was AJ’s aunt. It would be a total slap in the face to Monica and to AJ’s memory if she befriended Ava, who framed AJ for Connie’s death and was instrumental in his murder. AJ was disregarded too much in life…I’d like the Q’s to at least retain some loyalty to him in death…

And Alexis KNOWS Julian had Duke killed. If one had any doubt of that fact, it was obliterated when Sonny announced the aforementioned to Alexis. Alexis doesn’t care as all she can think of is enjoying a sickening bath with that hairless wonder.

Harry…

And Michael knows Sonny killed AJ

Olivia knows Ava killed Connie (but sat down to Thanksgiving with her and allows her to eat in her hotel)

And Hayden is sleeping with and falling for Nicolas who had her shot in the head

And Sabrina knows that Carlos killed Duke but is still loyal to him…

Port Charles is a very forgiving town. LOL. Alexis does not stand alone; still love her!

One more thing…the giant Nemo blanket — or whatever Disney product placement was in the scenes between Lulu and Valerie — looked ridiculous and was a distraction from what was otherwise good writing and acting.

Again, agreed!

I haven’t seen the episode yet but judging from all that I read in this article, it is going to be very good. I think the new writers are doing a fantastic job with the show even if Ron isn’t there anymore.

My favorite part was when Valerie slapped that insufferable Lulu. Though I’ll never understand why they are fighting over Dante, he’s so gross and simple.

Wondering where the La Leche League storyline is going, it’s ridiculous that Olivia will be arrested. Though I’m assuming that will force Alexis to be her counsel and hilarity will ensue.

Anna and Robert are the saving grace on this show. Their chemistry still sparkles, every moment with them is magic. Scotty showing up and ragging on Johnny was hilarious. Every time one of the ’80s vets shows up, GH comes alive (and I didn’t even watch during the days of Scotty/Laura/Luke). Now for my complaints: FELICIA should be the mayor! I hope Mayor Lomax is gonna be brought down, and SOON! Also, could her real-life husband show up .. I miss Jake! The biggest mistake of all is this Valerie/Dante/Lulu triangle. I never could stand Dante from the beginning, he lied on the witness stand to protect his “father” Sonny after Sonny shot him in cold blood! Dante was “dead to me” from that day on. However, Lulu loved him, so I put up with him. Until … I’ve never heard a more lame excuse for sleeping with someone than Dante’s “suspicion” that Lulu was sleeping with Dillon. Dante is a dog like his father, there’s no ifs ands or buts about it! But now they have to go and make Lulu just as bad (I guess to whitewash what Dante did). And now Dante’s on his high horse, lecturing Lulu about right and wrong. That makes me sick!

I dont know if Felicia could handle being mayor? She was great in the 80’s as a young lover on adventures with Frisco. Did she mature into a women as her character? If so, I dont recall seeing it? I do love her and Mac. Your right about Dognte. He is scum just like Sonny. Wait and see, Dante will eventually go to the dark side and be involved in Sonny’s mob activities.

This is going back many years but I stopped liking the Felicia character during her affair with the “still-legally-married-to Laura” Luke. The writers really cheapened her character during that story line. That story line also, in my opinion, did Kristina Wagner no favors concerning her acting. I think it harmed her because they paired her with Tony Geary. He acted circles around her in that story line and, as a viewer and a fan, I was worried for her future acting career. I think it is career suicide when actors are mismatched or do not have similar theatrical backgrounds. Tony was always best paired with the Janes and Genies of the genre. Although young Genie was an actress-in-the-making when she was first paired with Tony, she is still the child of a thespian and always had a respect for the craft and a desire to grow and to obtain and maintain chemistry. And Jane can hold her own with ANY male lead. I think Kristina gave it her all in that story line, but it was no match and paled in comparison.

@Timmm….I doubt Felicia could handle being PTA president, let alone mayoress of a major city! It always rang false to me that she was the one who was put on the ballot, instead of selecting a credible female candidate from the more likely professional trio of Tracy, Anna or Diane Miller. I guess they needed someone who would make a good loser, and I couldn’t envision any of those other women taking that in stride, but when the whole voting fraud thing went down, I was relieved, since I couldn’t abide the thought of the ditzy ex-Mrs. Jones presiding over Port Charles.

Yes, agree that “Anna and Robert are the saving grace of the show” and that “their chemistry still sparkles.”

@Shay, completely agree with everything you said…
Tracy would make a formidable Mayor, since Anna should
be Police Commissioner again, for good this time !!!
Bring Mac in as her right hand man… so Robert can
come and go as often as Y&R allows Tristan to visit GH.

Very enjoyable episode all the way around.

Jonboy…I mostly liked this episode, too. Not much into cat fights, but it ways done in such a cliche, girly way (sorry if this reference offends anyone) that I thought it was almost meant to be funny. Plus it let off a lot of steam on both Val and Lulu’s part. And I for one don’t mind Val and thinks she makes some valid points re: Lulu’s Canada adventure and withholding it from Dante. Not that this excuses hot-head Dante. And Val, at least she’s taken some responsibility and is trying to make a career for herself.

Love, love, love Anna and Scorpio.

Don’t mind breast feeding story, except I think Olivia could at least have asked Lomax if she minded her feeding leo there and in that manner as a courtesy since there are people that can be sensitive to it for whatever reason. But Olivia can be like a bull in a china shop sometimes like when she took the family sweater picture to Julian and Alexis place. Speaking of Alexis, it was great to see her put on her legal hat again and stop Lomax from prosecuting Olivia.

Am worried where the story is going for Jake. Don’t need a redo of old Franco, and I especially don’t like writers using Jake or other kids as possible “bad seeds”

LOL

I thought is was Roflmao… that the scene opened with Val… “cradling” in HER arms; Lulu was seen resting on Val shoulder

FOFL

LOL

I was thinking to myself… what? Val takes care of both Lulu and Dante

go figure, right?

anyway: SOD issue preview… they are giving this story a thumbs down… not so much because they don’t not like the story… but

Dante and Lulu are acting so…… (OOC) out of character… how can all this come stumbling down… so fast… ??? !!! they may not be my 2 favorite characters.. but at least… I had one couple to root for… and yes… their needs to be some happiness.. and a happy STABLE couple… so what?

it was my Dante and Morgan Fairchild look a like Lulu

I really applaud the writers for giving Val… shutzpa… a back bone… to stick it to Lulu.. for Lulu charade and over the top antics… in bellowing… loudly and so much so… she barely gave either Dante or Val… any chance to “defend” themselves… not that they had any reasons

but Val… to my surprise… has positioned herself a worthy opponent… adversarial… and propped herself … ??? for Dante ? meh

and I say that with hesitate… because… Lulu is more than likely the stronger character that fans will root more for… so.. I am wondering… what will become of Dante character…

I truly think the writers have screwed this one couple up… badly… so.. since I’ve come to root for Val character… I don’t mind that Dante and Val may see a light at the end of the tunnel

which is neither here nor their… because if Brandon Barash isn’t on for the long haul… and I personally think… ( ok this is laughable right now ) but at the time.. I thought.. Dillan isn’t mature enough to be with even Lulu…

LOL

so… is it all for naught any way ? what is the point now?

was the fire … and Lulu comeuppance… a way out of this far fetched story??? and Dante and Lulu will relax and let bygone be?

oy! I would never see light in infidelity… perhaps I can easily say this because I do not have the experience of being a parent… and yeah… it should never be for any other reason than being true to oneself

anyway… back to the latest SOD issue

they are taking issue with Dante and Lulu… so out of character as to reference… LOL they are acting like pod people… and ??? have lost their mind

and no one in their right mind is buying in to this character assassination

oy!

boggle much

I like this couple… it’s a safe bet.. to keep them happy… neither of them trigger must see..

I can go their with these two

Dante with Val ???
Lulu with ??? certainly don’t see it if BB’ Johnny Z isn’t on contract and Dillan fizzled… ( I like his character with Maxie and Nina) and meddling with the Q’s.

meh they’ll be back together… perhaps that seed planted and trait of trust… will be forever noted by the audience and we’ll at least see character flaw.. and see how these two will work this out

Far as I’m concerned Dante & Lulu had become a boring couple. May be out of character but at least it’s given the actors something to do other than play lovey dovey. I wasn’t watching when Valerie came onto the show and am having a hard time understanding her look. How does she fit into the Spencer family with that dark–skinned look?

As for Olivia’s breast feeding story, sure, it’s filler. But it’s not annoying me. Olivia is Italian and reacting like a few Italian women I have known. I personally don’t have a problem with public breast feeding. It’s a part of the body, for cripe’s sake, same as an arm, leg or toe. What’s the big deal? Maybe strip clubs would go out of business and husbands would go home to their wives after work if there wasn’t such a big deal about covering up the boobies. Alexis, though, gets on my last nerve. Yes, it was pretty cool when she did her “wait a minute” routine, though. Girl, cut those bangs and get them out of your eyes so you’re not constantly throwing back your hair. Whiplash!

About Jake. Oh, boy! Sure he’s going to be damaged. But seriously, casting department, isn’t there a better child actor out there?

And……I never used to care for Elizabeth. I think she has become a much more interesting character now that she’s taking a walk on the dark side.

I thought the fire scene was very realistic….I expected less; so, kudos. The cat-fight? While very entertaining, it was also hilariously fake. We must admire the girls’ attempt, though.
What strikes me each time in such a situation, where there exists the ‘other’ woman, and the wife or significant other ‘face off’; how it’s always the wife’s fault, somehow. Basically, all one hears is, “well, if everything was hunky-dory in the marriage, then he wouldn’t seek another’s bed”….or, “if you hadn’t lied; if you had been a better wife”…….Valerie, adroitly, turned the tables and had Lulu probably thinking, “mea culpa’. I suppose Lulu was basically at a loss for words….could not stoically defend herself as she wished because of the guilt she felt in her involvement with Johnny to ‘teach’ Valerie a lesson by making her go back from whence she came.
Even so, I feel for Lulu……and, although I wanted Valerie to be safe, I feel no sympathy for her predicament, now that she is out of harm’s way. I hope the scare did her good. Valerie’s stab at trying to put Lulu in her place by being soooo vociferous and violent only increased my disgust for her. Lulu should have knocked her TEETH out. Sorry, too hard to resist!!
Furthermore, Dante, the idiot, the oh-such-a-nice-guy cop left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth. He thinks that Lulu has no integrity? What does one call cheating on his wife? Where is the integrity, the dignity, the self-respect in that? “Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone”.
Valerie was very lucky I wasn’t Lulu, in Viking regalia; or Shay, actually….in her ‘catsuit’……MEOW! LOL.

PS.
I forgot ….
I thoroughly enjoyed Robert and Anna together. Oh, boy! I understand what all the fuss is about when it comes to these two, now. There is such an energy, a vibe surrounding them. I was truly overwhelmed; taken. What I witnessed was something almost magical…..amazing what the right coupling can to for the viewer. I wish Tristan would stay permanently. His role at Y&R is useless. I have finally seen the ‘shining’ side of Tristan in Robert….something which Colin holds hidden. Robert’s aura is golden…..I could almost touch it…!! I got a taste of the metaphysical!!
I like Olivia’s spunk, I truly do. But, while I admire ‘women’s lib and all that ‘far out, man’, stuff, breast feeding your baby in a restaurant is not the thing. Don’t misunderstand, I find NOTHING wrong with it….however, one must be respectful of all other patrons; especially because it’s her own establishment. Customers, people in general, do not want to see that…..keep in mind I am generalizing and have no desire to step on anyone’s toes here. I suppose it is TPTB’s attempt at what is in the news. Was it worth it?
I love Shari, but here comes another ‘hard-azzed’ , holier-than-thou politician. Egads!!!! Lomax’s interaction with Olivia just seemed contrived and out of place for me. There was no need for that scene, unless it is a stepping stone to something bigger? Oh, my, what can that be? What did I miss? LOL.

I’ve always loved Anna and Robert, but Robert’s recent appearances were disappointing. Yesterday was great – his spark was back and their chemistry was sizzling again. I am so glad that he’s back and I, too, hope that GH keeps him on board.

Olivia’s breastfeeding scene was over the top to me not so much because she was in a restaurant, but because she was in a business meeting that was unscheduled and which the Mayor was willing to postpone. A lot of Olivia’s behavior of late has been too big, too much, inappropriate, etc., even for Olivia. I am wondering if we are seeing the set up for a postpartum depression story line?

Hate that they’ve burned Johnny with more crimes and made Lulu and accessory. Even if Johnny protects her from criminal charges, it really trashes her character. I wanted Johnny to get off on the old charges and free to come and go as the sexy, charismatic bad boy (but not mob bad).

CeeCee, I am glad you are understanding “what all the fuss is about when it comes to” Robert and Anna! Unlike the other couples on GH, it is not about sex, or the promise of sex. It is about sheer acting talent and a love of each other’s company as actors. They do not need to be “propped” or “shipped.” Anna and Robert just ARE! They put every other couple on GH to total shame. Magic cannot be “invented,” it can only happen in the absolute right circumstances; it cannot be forced or manufactured. They have IT. No other duo on the GH canvas has IT to this extent. (IT, as defined in the 1920s by author Elinor Glyn and embodied by the extraordinary silent-film actress Clara Bow). Robert and Anna = pure gold. They should be the cornerstone of the show, not Sonny and Carly.

Now, throw Laura into the mix and — WOW — we really have something to work with!!! Robert’s on-screen relationship with Laura goes back 35 years. Let’s see that rekindled and see where it goes. In other words GH: Tristan Rogers is your best, most charismatic leading man. Keep him. Use him. Treasure him!

Thats the nail on the head Cee, Tristan is being wasted on Y&R! Robert and Anna are pure magic whether they are a couple or not, the chemistry is oh so right! He must be so bored over in Genoa City. BTW, did Jill mention anything about Colin not being at her side while Billy was fighting for his life?

@CeeCee, Sweetheart…. Soooooooosoooooo glad you got a
chance to witness Robert & Anna’s chemistry, their so at ease
& in tune with one another…these talented actors are wonderful
to watch. That’s why we miss them so.
As far as the disastrous trio goes…Read my post below.
I felt Brandon B’s Johnny was the only light that shined bright.
I dislike having to say this, but GH’s BRASS should truly invest
in a reputable acting coach for more than a few of these young
“ACTOR’S they desperately need the HELP…

So true (what Trudy said above) about Olivia and possible postpartum. She’s been way over the top disrespecting boundaries. Whether it be the ugly sweater family portrait or the Mayor Lomax incident. Aside from the breastfeeding ordeal, she was very unprofessional during that meeting with or without the baby being there. Cookie and quirky are always fine and are often endearing. But she’s been a downright nut job lately.

Yes, NOW you see what all the fuss has been about!
If you think Robert and Anna sizzle, you ought to have seen Genie Francis and Tony Geary (the REAL TG–lol!).
And you put the two couples together and POW! Wish you could have seen it! What a treat for all of us “vintage” fans.
(Still can go to youtube–or maybe you already have????–to see the sheer magic of the scenes.

I am happy to hear you get it when it comes to Robert and Anna, Cee Cee.
The truth is each actor is a tour de force in his/her own right as far as talent and charisma is concerned.
But put Anna and Robert together? The charisma factor is through the roof!
Finola Hughes is truly amazing and keeps getting better. It was good to see engaging in witty repartee with someone who can hold his own with her.
(loved the plaid suit she was wearing!).
I also so enjoyed Mac interacting with both Robert and Anna. As Oliver Twist once said, “I want some more.”
I have nothing to say about this Valerie, Lulu and Dante fiasco. I love Brandon Barash and think he is immensely talented and hate he was brought back as some idiotic plot twist for these silly people.
Speaking of wasting talent, I also hate that Laura has been reduced to playing den mother to girls behaving badly, Lulu and Lizzy.

Hello,
Agree with everything you said, Harry. Finola/Anna is unique….have always loved her. She speaks class and poise from head to toe. Every other woman seems less than and crude compared to this perfect specimen of ‘ladydom’. Except for the dark hair, I liken her to my mother. In looks, stature, smarts and temperament.
Anna and Robert? Serendipity?? Yes, all the way.
I have great hope for Laura. I doubt TPTB would bring her back just to mollify her or the viewer, after her tacky treatment. She has always struck me as a paradigm of honesty. But, we as humans are all flawed. I was a little taken aback when she withheld Jason’s identity. The writers should not have gone there, in my opinion….unless it was to show her humanity and love towards her son and Liz. She made a poor choice, regrettably. However, she did so, or so she thought, for the right reasons. That is not to say that I do not still love this lady, and await, as everyone else, for her story to come….it better WOW us all. We deserve it; more importantly, both Genie and Laura do.

Knocked her teeth out? She hit her with her hand and not with a sledge hammer!

Lol. Exactly, my point, Timmm. Lulu SHOULD have used a sledge hammer and straightened her teeth out. Poor joke, eh?

Tristin got himself a sweet deal with Y&R, I do not see him giving that up..
Anna and Scorpio will be short lived 🙁 ..

I gotta say; this GH is total lame..
It’s like grandma’s writing for grandmas..
I hoper GH gets some younger drama writers and gets modernize and gives intriguing on the edge drama, not this lame stuff..

Honestly; I have not seen a flicker of humor nor intrigue.
All the boards use to burst with GH threads, it was always in the news, here there were always GH threads everyday something GH was going on, some threads had 200 replies and everyday there was GH something.
Now the boards are near empty of GH happenings ..
Why? because it is so terribly uneventful and lackluster that nobody is excitedly talking about it..

@Toby:
Hi, Toby.
More power to those women or men who can forgive infidelity. I am not one of those women. Once a cheater always a cheater. That is my personal belief. There would never be a second chance with me. Therefore, if Lulu forgives Dante, then I will lose respect for her. I really like Lulu….and, it amazes me how TPTB manipulated this storyline where Lulu is now the culprit and Valerie comes out out of the smoke/fire smelling like a flower. If he truly loved his wife as he said he did, he would have taken her in his arms and own up to the fact that his wife got to this place because of him. Hypocrite.

@Patrick.
Hi, Patrick.
I love your writing and points of you: you know that. However, to be a worthy opponent, one must be noble of heart, must maintain honor and dignity for a worthy cause. ‘Worthy’ being the operative word, here.
Valerie’s skylarking, as she did the fandango with someone else’s husband, besmirches one’s word and noblesse. So, there goes the ‘worthy opponent’ premise. As my Gran would say, “Tomfoolery’!!
From the love and trust I had gleaned emanating from Dante toward his wife, in almost two years of watching, I never imagined Dante would betray his marriage and family because of a mere frivolity. I guess sometimes hell does freeze over. Off with Valeie’s head…..just a figure of speech, guys!!

Points of view.

@jonboy.
That’ a good question, Jonboy. We still don’t know why Valerie is of a different race. There has been much speculation surrounding her birth. And, why does she have the Spencer name? Was she born out of wedlock? Was Patricia Spencer a rape victim? Rose even suggested that she may be related to the Quartermaines. This would be a good time to give Valerie an honest-to-goodness storyline where we would glean into her past and her history.
By the by…you are so right about Olivia . She represents the true Italian woman to the letter. She’s great!

I was super happy to see Olivia stand her ground on breastfeeding. As a nursing mother I was proud of GH for brushing on this topic. Brava brava!

As a private person who will never relate to people who enjoy attention, I was annoyed to see GH get into the breast feeding topic. I am someone who feels breast feeding should be done in private. If done in public, I feel it should be done discreetly with a privacy blanket, and not in the center of the room for everyone to see. I feel breast feeding is a sacred, precious bonding between mother and child when portrayed as such. I saw Alyssa Milano the other day say “Would YOU want to eat under a blanket?” As if adults all over the world are walking around emotionally ruined because their mother breast fed them under a blanket decades ago. One time I was in a restaurant with my family and a mom walked in with a baby attached to her breast. Everything, and I do mean everything, was exposed. There IS such a thing as “TMI”. People in the restaurant, myself included, were grossed out by it. The world understands that the baby needs to eat but mom doesn’t have to be an exhibitionist while feeding the baby. Although I do not like the character of Mayor Lomax, I agreed with her when she argued all other natural bodily functions take place in private.

WHAT??!!!

Oh, Jill. The difference is, Lomax has an agenda, I don’t know if she believes what she advocates. I believe the purpose of this scenario was to introduce a bit of ‘reality’ and banality, as what’s in the news. There have been many incidents and court disputes on the subject. But, it could be for another reason/intention altogether.
As I said, a mother is entitled to breastfeed her baby in public, if it is done discreetly. I have breastfed my children in public, such as a park, or a public bathroom, or in the car, in front of my driver (livery). It does not make me an exhibitionist.
If you have ever traveled to Europe, it is not so out of the ordinary to see women sitting at their doorstep breastfeeding….without ‘blankets’. And, it is a natural ‘task’, as age-old as time itself. It is mainly this country of ours that can’t handle the exposed female breast. We seem to turn everything into porn. Sad, really. The problem is, as I have also stated, we must be mindful of restaurants, where the clientele does not appreciate or may not be comfortable with such ‘proceedings’. They pay good money to eat; therefore, they want to enjoy their meal without such a distraction. I can see how that could be offensive to them. Olivia should be sensitive to that. However…this was intended to target and make a point.
I don’t think, Jill, that there is a big red line separating people in this. Obviously we all have our own feelings….it is neither right nor wrong. But, as Alexis has said, there is no law forbidding breastfeeding in public; just the opposite is true. That’s a fact.
No one has the right to disagree with you because these are your private feelings and I respect that. You’re not alone. I don’t think this dilemma will ever disappear. Well, not in our lifetime.

Hi again, Jill.
Did Lomax actually say breastfeeding is a bodily function? I believe a bodily function is doing number 1 and number 2….putting it delicately. Breastfeeding is definitely not a ‘bodily function’. I would hope we all do that in private, behind closed doors. We’ve come a long way.

@Jill and CeeCee……Kudos to both of your extremely thoughtful posts on this hot-button issue! Whilst I am admittedly more personally aligned in nature with the former, I also applaud the latter on her most respectful and understanding attitude toward those of us who may not be as on the page with the public aspect of this practice. As my good friend, CeeCee noted, “discreetly” is the operative word here….and I have no doubt that she adheres to that notion to a most classy “t.” The problem arises when that (far too often…) doesn’t happen, as Olivia, who I usually love for her feistiness and no-nonsense approach to things, more than amply demonstrated. The way this scenario was presented was highly disingenuous…in the first place, Liv owns half of the establishment in which she put on this very public display….hence she had access to ANY private space at her immediate disposal to conduct her motherly duties….she certainly wasn’t forced to be front and center in a busy dining room for all and sundry to view….especially given this was a business situation, a more appropriate location could have been arranged. Also, it was quite rude of her not to take into account the mayor’s level of comfort (or rather, discomfort…) with her “doing brunch” with Leo in such an open manner. (This definitely falls under the heading of just because one can, doesn’t mean one should…..) Lastly, as this was first and foremost occurring in an eatery full of paying customers whose personal ease and enjoyment of the dining experience should be the paramount concerns, it was highly inconsiderate to simply assume that this practice was completely fine by all present just because it is technically legal. Furthermore, to insert this unnecessary nonsense into a storyline really comes off as horribly contrived….especially given that one just knew from the moment that Liv got her “+*+ in a wringer” over this brouhaha, it was going to fall into the legal lap of whom else but the town authority on brazen mammarial flashing….the always adversarial Alexis. Yes, this whole vignette reeks of yet another flimsily-scripted excuse for grandstanding by Ms. Davis, not to mention showcasing her portrayer’s typically less than subtle zeal for promoting her own particular social agendas via her character. Which for me indicates this is much less of a plot device than another thinly-veiled attempt to highlight both the actress and her views….the fact that it emanates from two female writers also cannot be ignored. My main reaction is why? Why was this deemed such an important subject that it warranted a storyline? That’s what I don’t get….GH is in a mighty precarious position right now with trying to find its footing after a disastrous 2015, that the only priority should be focusing on getting it back on track by emphasizing beloved characters with really strong stories….such as that with Robert and Anna…their scene was simply splendid, and following it with this deplorable dust-up truly detracted from the beauty of that moment. Just saying. As I was explaining, this show needs all the help it can get to retain/attract viewership, and squandering its precious resources and residual goodwill on such a polarizing position hardly seems like the proper means to accomplish that feat. Soaps should be there as an escape from the minutiae and madness of everyday life…something that everyone can be able to savor, regardless of one’s personal, political or social beliefs, and so to introduce this particularly touchy subject matter to what should be a guilty pleasure just seemed out-of-place to me. (And yes, I do realize that historically, soap operas have promoted cutting-edge ideas, but that practice was much less of a gamble when there were dozens on the daytime schedule….now with the last few fighting for survival, it may not be advisable to be so bold in the face of this new reality.) At any rate, thanks again to both Jill and CeeCee for their well-expressed comments!

Yes, Shay’s beautifully expressed comment made the grade!
I too, thought it was a ridiculous situation and it felt incredibly forced.
In addition, judging by her hair and clothes the mayor looks like she would be liberal and accepting and does not appear to be the Church Lady. Moreover, they skipped the fact that I think Olivia was about to pull out a blanket to cover up. This is what she did in the police station.

Thank you, Harry! Speaking of beautifully expressed comments, I so enjoyed yours at the Nina thread. I twice attempted to post two different responses to your very well-put remarks, and failed both times. Somehow you’ve the uncanny knack for saying exactly what I am thinking of that particular character without getting yourself moderated! Therefore, my compliments, Sir! P.S. As for your suggestion regarding the “MetroCourt???” Mmmmm….I think not….with its less than illustrious clientele, that establishment just screams “bedbugs!”

I’m not really liking how this story is being handled. There’s nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public when necessary but for heaven’s sake people need to show some common sense about it. If it’s done discreetly there’s no reason for it to be an issue for anyone but Olivia was anything but discreet. More like very in your face and confrontational.

It was completely inappropriate for Olivia to drag a fussy baby along to what was supposed to be a business meeting and then just whip out a boob with no regard for the client she was meeting with or any of her other customers or, for that matter, her baby. Did Oliva think it was actually an enjoyable mother/baby bonding experience for her son to simply be hanging off her boob while Olivia went about doing whatever SHE felt like doing?

Breastfeeding doesn’t need to be shoved behind closed doors but it actually should be done in a quiet and reasonably private place where the mother can fully focus on bonding with her baby for that time. Seriously, what makes any mommy with an ounce of sense think that their baby is happy and content being fed in the din of a public place??

Enjoyable experience? Breastfeeding isn’t about an enjoyable experience (even though often times it is). Breastfeeding is about FEEDING a child. Do you not eat in public? Do you only eat behind closed doors where it’s quiet and reasonably private? Didn’t think so.

This is no different. Eating is eating. My breasts are built to nourish my child and just because our country (most other countries do not have the same stigma) has a sick obsession with breasts only being sexual, it doesn’t mean I should have to hide to feed my baby.

Nevermind the fact that they were sitting in a restaurant…you know…where people EAT! And for anyone else to insinuate that Olivia should have been considerate of those around her when trying to feed her child, I’d like to see that idea put into practice for a lot of things in public. Eating isn’t one of them. It’s inconsiderate when people smoke in public, but they do it. It’s inconsiderate when people fart in public and quickly walk away, but they do it. It’s inconsiderate for people to burp in public, but they still do it. Feeding a child is not inconsiderate!

I was surprised re: the topical breastfeeding debate and that the writers included it in the show! They did it well & I have enjoyed the writing lately. I did laugh at the fire scene & slap/CPR attempt in the middle of the crisis, but it all served its purpose well. Not diggin’ the new Lomax yet; expected more from the familiar name actress, but willing to give her time (not sure why they made the change in the first place either).

LOL c’mon..
breastfeeding, really..
It is lame and mostly stupid.

There are people feeling strongly on both sides of the subject, as evidenced by social media postings I viewed in the past month. I was surprised it made its way on the show. It was a unique storyline & held my interest.

Go Valerie lol

I think in 2016, we should have moved passed watching women physically assault each other for entertainment.

Wrong! Look no further than the UFC! Its disgusting!

And what about those “Housewives Of….” franchises? I do believe some of their, ahem, “ladies” have come to fisticuffs on a number of occasions! (Some perhaps even whilst donning “catsuits!”…..LOL!)

This was looooooong overdue…Lulu should have confronted Val/chops
the moment she found out her “Cousin” had slept with her husband.
Bitch slapped her then and there in a very public place..SHAMED her
into realizing what she had done is inexcusable. But noooo, Lulu allowed
her anger to boil & simmer out of control… By allowing Val/Trollope to turn
the tables way tooooo many times in saying her cheating with Dante was
due to Lulu’s lies. Valerie was never held accountable for her actions.
Then let’s add Hot Headed Johnny too the mix and stir the pot…
Dante was the weak link in this scenario…you don’t cheat on your wife,
the woman you profess to love over a lie, period. I don’t understand
the concept of cheating. When he made his way to the hotel determined
to face her over said lie.. He sees nothing but a messy room w/ Dylan &
Lulu’s clothes on a bed, Dante assumes there’s a Liason going on..
Great intuitive “Detective” instincts. So instead of confronting his wife,
he Runs straight into the understanding and compassionate arms of
her cousin Valerie. What a tangled web….

P.S. Obviously…poor choices were made by everyone involved.

Hi, my lovely lady.
I had mentioned even before the dirty deed had come to fruition that something was astir within the loins of Dante and Valerie ( this is a direct quote from Fiona, my grandmother…lol), I do not ‘spake’ thusly, myself. LOL. So, for Valerie and Dante to blame Lulu is just very convenient. These two degenerates were itching to tear each other’s clothes off. Lulu was nothing but a scapegoat. Yes, Lulu could have handled things differently. Her retaliation was childish and spiteful. I have said this ad nauseam…..a cheating husband is not worth the effort. No husband of mine is going to taste the charms of another woman and then expect to touch me. The thought is repulsive. I hope TPTB do not continue to make Lulu look the fool….the weeping, ‘don’t leave me, plaeeese’ wretch-type is so humiliating and degrading. No matter the hurt; the disillusionment; the emptiness she feels, she should conquer those feelings and carry on. We women came a long way, Fanny, yes? Let us not move backwards.
It is most aggravating how Lulu is the culprit…how Valerie has the audacity to intimate that Lulu got the ball rolling. Even if Dante thought his wife was fooling around, the first thing he does is fall into bed with that, that, that PERSON?
Lulu needs a prince of a man, one whose hair looks clean (lol)…..I want her to stick it to Dante…complete satisfaction for me….ahhhhh! Bye, Fanny….your light shines bright.

@CeeCee…Sweets, how right you are… No matter the circumstance
you do not grovel and belittle your self for any MAN…much less a
two timing lying husband. A little self respect Lulu! has Laura taught
you nothing. It was embarrassing to watch..Whatever happened to the
strong, independent, self assured Lulu of yesteryear. Oh, that’s right
she was portrayed by Julie Bermann.. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
CeeCee, if my light shines bright …your the twinkle❕

@Fanny.
Awwww!! Thank you, my lady!

THIS WHOLE SHOW WAS A FAST-FORWARD…..IF THESE STORY LINES CONTINUE ITS TIME TO TUNE OUT……ROBERT AND ANNA STEAL THE SHOW..

I do agree, JUDY K. I thank everyone who have always encouraged me to ‘get into the vets’….I do not regret listening; not after the delightful display of Robert’s and Anna’s charm together.
Something you said made me rsised an eyebrow….and I agree.
The storylines are picking up speed but, most are insipid. I can live with that. I will always watch. What bothers me is that no one takes the fall for wrongdoing. Giving false reports or falsely accusing someone is punishable by law…..could serve jail time. Nikolas actually got away with accusing Jason of attempted murder. TPTB are treating this the same as a parking ticket. Wow….some justice system!
Just once, do something from which I can derive a certain amount of satisfaction, no? I want to punch Nik’s arrogance right off his face.

@su0000.
Yes, Suzie Q, the breastfeeding ‘thing’ does seem stupid. But, as I said, I think there is more to it than that. Was it done to showcase the mayor’s tight-azz personality? How behind the times she is? Was it to give Alexis something to do? .Was it to create comic relief? I loved it when Olivia answered Lomax by saying, ” yeah, that was not yelling, that was calm for me, I’m Italian” ( something to that effect). I was laughing so hard because it is the truth. That’s how my in-laws communicate. Olivia is my mother-in-law personified. They do not ‘fight’ per se, that’s just how they communicate to stress a point. It is such a wonder to watch them. And, they are all professionals ….doctors, lawyers etc. so, it kind of doesn’t compute….I suppose, that is what gives these wonderful, beautiful and colorful people their charm. I can’t get enough of Olivia, albeit her behavior lately leaves much to be desired. Why she is setting her cap at Julian is beyond me. Yeah, he’s a hunk….but, she should have learned her lesson by now. She is no verging damsel on the first throes of love. Must be menopause getting its ducks in a row….those darn hormones. Lol. She, who tried so hard to keep this malvivente from their baby, now has the itchy hots for him?……OR, was it done because it is a real, tangible issue, as we speak?
I am almost sure this is not the end of it, as Alexis is preparing to battle it out in court. I may be wrong….possibly going in an entire different direction; but, what happened in the restaurant was a mere introduction to a more ‘grandiose’ factor. Bye, babes.

Verginal, not verging.

Entirely different

What happened to the good old days of soap operas when women bitch-slapped each other and got into an actual catfight like Alexis & Krystle and Lauren & Sheila?
Valerie & Lulu…darn shame! Waste of time!!

@Mitch….It’s simply not the same without the lily pond!

@Shay…Lily pond, ahhhhhh…I remember it well. Even today
I can understand fighting over Blake Carrington, certainly not
Dante.

GH is my soap and if I ever criticize it it’s because I love the show. Having said that, when I watch the show these days what I see is the most brilliant cast of actors in daytime in search of long term stories with some gravitas. The writers need to dig deep and come up with some compelling story-lines which are plotted out from start to finish. They also need to wrap up some of the long-running stories which have been dragging on and on. There needs to be longer scenes with better in-depth dialogue drawing on the characters’ past. Finally, the cast needs to be cut back a bit so that stories aren’t left unresolved and so that there isn’t a tier of characters who appear so sporadically that the audience is no longer invested in them. Long love GH!

I agree, I dont even care about Jason anymore!

I agree, Timmm. I get very bored and antsy during the Jason-Sam scenes. Their conversations , today especially, drone on and on. I don’t know if their tete-a-tete is stirring any feelings of nostalgia for all the fans out there. But, I get nothing…..perhaps it’s because I do not know them as a couple…..regardless, I am so tired of Jason looking for his truth.
I must say, though, that as monotonous as Sam is, I have to give her two thumbs up for declaring she is not the right person to aid Jason in his search of finding himself on such a personal and emotional contact. Good for you, Sam. That’s using your head, girl!! Later, Timmmbo.

Not a fan of Val or NuLu BUT they did exceptionally well with their CATfight scene!

Why recast the Mayor? Anyway, it was funny that with all the crime in PC she picked on Liv about breastfeeding in public. Whip them out Olivia, Alexis does it all the time! [That was for you Shay!]

Robert Scorpio IS the man! I just love him and him and Anna are so natural in their scenes. I wish Robert would have laid a kiss or two on Anna for old time sakes! BTW, Anna looks amazing!

Me too! Did you see Anna’s look and grin when Robert told her she was the prettiest–and she said, “Do you think you might be predjudiced?” They were both enjoying that scene immensely.
PS I did also love the sweet scene with Mac and Robert the other day (as someone else commented on.) Now they all have to get together with Laura (again, as someone else said.)

Good point Nancy. Robert and Luke were good friends. It would make sense that Robert would visit Laura and a wonderful time for her to open that letter Luke left her!

Yes, Nancy. Anna had both that look of joy, innocence and acting the flirty coquette, all in one. I want more of that!! I just loved it.

Robert and Anna of course rocked it out as usual, they always deliver.
love jordan, but it was not very professional for her to question jonny in front of maxie and the new doc.
there was a conflict of interest for scott to represent jonny considering he was involved in his son’s death.
i was beginning to find the new doc boring till they showed he has connection to Robert/wsb. way to go.
Dante is a tool, if Valerie expects to be a cop, she better up her fight skills, and Lulu well, she’s got issues. but the one that took the cake was Olivia, look its not an issue for me if a women breast feeds in public, i not only grew up here in the u.s but was fortunate to live in europe/and latin america, and in those continents its hardly an issue, yet, the way Olivia handle the situation was completely inappropriate. I really don’t know what to think of the Olivia character to be honest, i have no clue what the show expects us to think of her, if you seriously go down the list of things she’s done, she’s really not a very sympathetic character, why are we suppose to care for her? she’s dante mother, but he’s a tool, she betrayed her cousin whose hotel she inherited, she slept and got pregnant with her second child whose father is also a criminal, and she is either clueless or thoughtless of his re whlationship with Alexis, and i could go on an on, so really whats the reason we care for Olivia? i’m clueless on that.

You and I both❗️❗️

I agree with you regarding Olivia. Personally, I used to love her. Smart, sexy, street smart, yet at the same time a great mom, mother-in-law. She emanated loyalty and family. I found her adorably funny after her “acid trip” and subsequent peeks into the future, felt sorry for her when she had her heart broken by Sonny and lost Steve. But her recent intrusive, obnoxious behavior toward Alexis in regard to A’s relationship with Julian is.out of character and completely intolerable. Olivia would be the first to kick any woman fo the curb who tried to interfere in her relationship. Yet she goes over uninvited to Alexis and Julian’s home, calls herself family and expects Alexis to hang a portrait of herself with Julian and their son…in Alexis’s home! Grrrrrrr…really hate where thsy’re going here. No woman would stand for that, nor would a man…and Olivia has become completely unlikeable and unrelatable.

Guess everyone has heard the nasty rumor that Tony Geary may be coming back to GH–that he may pop up when Tracy goes on her vacation–or whatever–and that he may be coming back for sweeps to go on yet another “adventure” to see if Helena is really dead–gag!
I DO NOT WANT TO SEE TONY GEARY RETURN after he totally dissed loyal fans–and totally destroyed the legacy of Luke and Laura. Besides, Genie Francis is just now appearing to relax and enjoy again the character of Laura. PTB, PLease do not subject Genie to the indignity once more of being snubbed and ignored by the “great” Tony Geary. Stay in Amsterdam, TG! What cheek!

Hey, Nancy…you PERFECTLY nailed it dead on the head!!!!! Thank You. As far as I’m concerned, when that OVERRATED Tony Geary was on GH, TPTB were such idiots when it came to catering to TG’S every whim and demand!!!!! Uh…EWWWWW!!!!! And, G-A-G is right!!!!! Bottom Line Here: BOTH Tony Geary and his BIG E-G-O need to stay in Amsterdam…PERIOD!!!!!!!

Take care, Nancy. Peace.

Thans, jaybird 369, and peace to you also!

How can we miss him if he won’t go away?
I don’t miss Luke–not even a little bit. He better not come back.

Nancy…I’m with you on Tony possibility returning. Not interested. Haven’t missed him, he just left a bad taste in my mouth during Fluke. But I got a little suspicious a few episodes ago about a possible return when Laura and Tracy were having their heart to heart, and Laura dropped Luke’s name into the conversation about if he came back, or something to that effect.

Rose–that’s when I became suspicious–but I thought SURELY TPTB would not go there, particularly now that Jean and Shelley are head writers–AND I remembered vividly TG’s exit interview (“scorched earth,” so called by some) where he dissed EVERYONE–not just the fans. I’m sorely disappointed that Shelley and Jean, et al. cannot read the fans’ reaction any better. I would think that TG is “soap opera poison” right now. PS to TG: Amsterdam is beautiful in the spring (and winter, and summer, and fall, eh?)–too beautiful for you to leave, right? Besides there’s that memoir you are writing and the class you signed up for and the plays you want to do, and the absence of any fans that were loyal to you all those years, etc, etc., etc.

@nancy dillingham…..As soon as I saw that Luke rumor hit the internet, I immediately thought of you, and waited with bated breath for you to express your utter delight at the possibility (or “threat,” take your pick….) of a Geary return to GH. You certainly did not disappoint…..but rest assured, Ms. Dillingham, you are not alone in your assertions…..by a longshot!

Whoa, whoa, whoa oh mighty “Pasty One!” You cannot drop the “C” word and expect me not to reply! If a couple of those empty headed “Housewives” were to roll around in their CATsuits I might just tune in! That would probably be the only reason!

Thanks, Shay!

Okay my “Porcelain Princess”, duly noted. I never lost more respect for the great Eileen Davidson than when she announced she would be on the Housewives show! I have more respect for a stripper than a Housewive on that show! Plus, strippers are only dancing to earn money for college! Ha, ha, ha! Yeah, I forgot to mention, CATsuits only work on cute kittens and not some Botoxed cougar! I didnt see your other post. My loss, for sure! I like you. You seem to have a good CATittude about life! Meow, meow Shayster!

Shay, I always thought if we wrote something mean or inappropriate it wouldnt get published here BUT maybe if we get too personal and are not talking soaps it gets thrown in the litter box? I know there is one person on here that is appalled by are flirtatious posts but it seems they are just jealous because we are having too much fun! I want to know what that post said that I didnt get that was such a “Cork!” I never heard that term before other than popping open a bottle of champagne and saying “Watch that Cork!” Anyway Shayster, I hope you are FELINEing better and have a wonderFUR weekend, Timmm!

I am fine with Tony staying retired. HOWEVER, I am not opposed to him coming back IF the story is good. I loved the guy. I know he rode a high horse out of town. NOTHING he says or does affects me because I dont know him and probably never will. He entertains me. Now, about Laura, she may be comfortable but I am still waiting for her big story? If Tony comes back they can have minimum contact and that would be fine. They dont and shouldnt be forced on one another or us fans. We know the story.

Ironically, Timmm, I LOVED him too–probably have seen him in everything he did—PRIOR to GH–like Bright Promise, bit parts, etc., and afterward–except Disorderly Orderlies–sounded like a dog to me! (TG, the one with the oversized ego, even admitted in one interview that he was “not making good decisions” in the 80s when he was “drinking and drugging too much.”) I even saw part another dog he was in about a vet coming home–where everyone seemed to be naked!
But that is all in the past; frankly, I don’t think I could watch him in ANYTHING today. I don’t know him either, of course, but I DO know that he stepped out of the character he played and interjected himself in the dialogue. Should have remained silent IF, as he always maintained, all he owed the audience was a good performance. I’m down for that, but that’s NOT what happened.
PS I, too, am waiting for Laura’s big story; what are the writers waiting on? Genie had begged to come back so many times, and they had shut her down. Now that she’s agreed to come back, where is that story they promised.? I want her to leave the Luke character in the dust and fall passionately in love again–in a story that will “erase” all vestiges of the way Luke treated Laura–and Tony Geary treated Genie.. Leaving her with a letter he gave to Lulu to give to her (!) with the word “Angle” on it (pull it up and view again if you don’t believe me–the misspelling is there for the world to see.) How careless of whoever was responsible. Says volumes of how they valued the legacy of Luke and Laura–the romance that literally saved the show and was a model for all other soaps that tried to emulate the couple.

And, finally, if he disdained the Luke and Laura story so much, why did he not stay gone when he initially left for 8 years, instead of luring Genie back with the diner story that he and his writing partner wrote?

Yeah Timmm. I too am waiting for them to give Laura a story of her own outside of Liz, Lulu and Nikolas. Laura was always a nurturing mommie type, but every once in a while she would snag a story that showed her at her job ventures. Last summer, Genie said she would like for Laura to run Kelly’s diner. I guess the writers aren’t interested in that. I was really hoping her Angel letter from Luke was him asking her to take care of Kelly’s while he is gone. Why can’t they bring in some Kelly family members? I have been wanting them to bring back Joe Kelly (Doug Sheehan). He could be a nice love interest for Laura and he is a lawyer. Before that, he was a private investigator. The stories they could write around that! They could have him helping wth digging around the Paul Hornsby stuff or whatever the case. He and Sam could investigate together. He would probably have a bunch of kids and grandkids of his own by now and Laura could be like a beloved step mom to them all. I can already see Joe and Laura sitting around Kelly’s witnessing shady mafia deals and also trying to maneuver through life with the messes all of their kids are in. Sigh….

the moral center of the show….

I agree that it’s highly probable that Genie Francis’ Laura is in fact , much to my chagrin’, lauded and so be it

why???? because of all that Luke was… ??? and Laura is wasted as the forever do good moral fiber?

let’s see her act out !?!? I was so ready for her to threshold her character and throne herself as the Cassadine LEAD… and nurturing Nicholas… in whatever capacity it takes to feature the Cassadine reign… and take hold ELQ

when Laura was at the haunted STAR toasting with champagne… I thought… could this be… when Laura turns

why couldn’t we see Laura leading and supporting Nicholas, Hayden, and Liz… onward and upward .. and championing Cassadine

damned the Quartermaine and ELQ… let Laura and Traci front and center TIT for ThAT

let a man come between them
let Jason “think” with his mindless aptitude… machismo

what an imagination whet to think of the endless possibilities and turns… Laura, with son Nicholas… with his lady love Hayden in cahoots… and his BFF forever legion… lovely Liz… square off…

this all just smolders and is head and shoulders complete

why is GH wasting all it’s time on Carly, Sonny, Jason, and Sam

Genie Francis showed… and featured her talent… sublime with an intensity all her own.. a formidable take charge woman… as Genevieve … at Genoa City

what’s to think

she should own Port Charles

Hey there, Timmster…”Oh, Pasty One?” I prefer the more demure “porcelain,” if you please…”pasty” is actually CeeCee’s word of choice to describe her pale complexion! LOL….Soooo…did you receive my other “cat-mmunique?” (Since it didn’t post, I wasn’t sure….I hope so…it was a corker!….much more GH-centric, with a fair dose of “catty” comments on the subjects at hand…) As for those “Real Housewives?” I cannot make any promises as to their chosen attire, but it certainly wouldn’t surprise if Lisa Rinna, Bethenny Frankel or maybe even Teresa Giudice, had a catsuit or two hidden away in their walk-ins…of course, I wouldn’t know, as I’ve never seen any of their respective shows….I’m just aware of the more, um, “high-profile” members of these various franchises due to their well-publicized antics. (And one also mustn’t forget to throw”Nene” in that mix, no matter how much we’d wish to do otherwise!) Oh well, just wanted to respond to your thoughts, Timmmbo….”CATch” you later!!!

“Porcelain Princess???” Much better, Timmmm! Thank you very much!!!…I also agree about Eileen Davidson….I grew up enjoying watching her as Ashley Abbott, and considered her to be a very classy character. Of course, I realize she has since gone on to portray some true whackadoos in other soap roles, but nothing approached the indignities of becoming a “Real Housewife”…and the story about her early dealings with her current spouse, Vincent, also disappointed me. I always thought of the Van Patten family as a bit above the average Hollywood clan, and not so into the scandalous stuff…..much more genuine, and the fact that those two were both married to other people at the time—she to GH’s Jon Lindstrom—and cheating on their better halves was not something I cared to know. As for my previous post, I’m sorry you failed to receive it….’twas a lot of fun, of which, you already know that I love to engage! Quite frankly, I don’t know why so many of my harmless little posts go undelivered…even if they don’t make it online, I’d at least like to see my intended party get to read them. As CeeCee said, this happens so much with us! It’s really quite sad and frustrating, since we share the same taste in humor and whimsy, and get such a kick out of one another’s comments….Ditto for you, Timmbo….now you can understand why we sometimes get so worked up about it! Later….”same cat time, same cat channel!” LOL….

Hello, my Timmmy,
Well, my astute friend. Rude, twisted, untrue comments do get by; you are right! ….it just depends on who’s doing the writing, my mock turtleneck guy! Ha! The way Shay and I are treated is pretty bleak. As she says, we ‘dig’ each other and try to communicate our shared sense of humor. Nonetheless, my intelligence, my education is constantly being challenged, minimized and ridiculed. Some people should tuck their tails between their legs, and stop making everyone uncomfortable. Let’s all enjoy each other’s comments…argue to the hilt, but be nice……I dread the dead we will not be afforded this luxury any longer. So, Peace!!
The issue is not with us, but with the one who constantly cries ‘wolf’. As I said, I come on these boards for pleasure…I am a people’s people. However, some people envy youth and ebullience. I say, ‘get a life’ instead of fixating on what we write. Not you, my guy…..not you. You’re the best. Your sense of humor slays me….among Harry’s, Jimh and many more. I think you get us!!
Shay, dearest. I DID NOT call myself ‘pasty’, I can assure you. LOL. You were talking about how white you are. Timmmbo decided to say ‘pasty body’, not I. What I said was, “pasty body, I have the same complexion as Shay, I am not pasty”……or something like that. I am too vain to even call myself by negative names. HaHa!! You and I are not sun worshippers. The sun would kill our ‘porcelain’ skin……too fair. Only extra-light skinned people will understand this concept. The good thing is, staying out of too much sun can only help in getting less wrinkles as we age. My skin is flawless…peaches and cream…so there, Timmmyyyyyy!!!!!!
As far as Laura getting a smashing storyline all her own, has been discussed ad nauseam, months ago. We all agree to that. I really don’t mind Tony coming back just for a bit. Perhaps, after everyone complained about the abruptness of his departure through the mystical fog, he is coming to make amends?
Those Plastic Housewives who look like manikins ( as do the Kardashians) do not get a second look from me….but, how to avoid them? They are everywhere. They even invade my space….the scenic Hamptons. No one wants to rent to them again. Oh, they will, though…..money talks. Later, gator.

Correction: dread the day…not dead

Shay and Timm? GET A ROOM!!!
Carly might give you a good deal.

Well, Timmm, at this stage, I’ve been moderated so frequently, that I should be an authority on the subject, but it quite often still remains a mystery to me. You have brought up some very valid criteria for what could, and in certain cases, SHOULD make a post unacceptable, but if nasty and mean, most particularly in the form of personal attacks upon other contributors, were disallowed, then CeeCee and I wouldn’t have been subjected to the litany of abuse we’ve regularly received for over a year now from a certain someone…also, being on point and true to a thread’s subject matter doesn’t necessarily guarantee that it makes the cut….just this past week, I wrote two extremely germane responses to Harry’s fine comments on the Nina/MS interview page, and neither saw the light of day, and yes, they were admittedly not of a complimentary nature, because I loathe this character and her storyline. But my remarks totally fit into the discussion line at hand…they just didn’t sing the praises of the interviewee. Having said that, I can also see where being overly-friendly and familiar can be a factor…..I try to keep my more personal conversations going at older threads to avoid throwing a new page away from its intended topic right off the bat, when I can, but if someone asks me a question or the direction naturally leads elsewhere, then I go with the flow. What I really think is that it comes down to the personal tastes involved….of both the posters and the moderators. Some are more cool and laidback than others with us, just like in “real life!” As for the expression “a real corker,” it is rather archaic now…I actually picked it up from older family members….it simply means someone or something that is highly amusing or hilarious, you know, a laugh riot! ( It was also formerly used to mean exceptional or astonishing….not so much anymore.) And speaking of a big LOL….”litter box???” Oh, please….this “cat chat” is “paws-itively” taking on a life—or more like nine–of its own! Later, Timmmster!

Amen, Nancy. Amen!

Wouldnt it be something, and Tony would NEVER go for it, but have Luke come back and express his new found love for Laura and Laura tell him she is UNAVAILABLE!

Y-E-A-H!

I would enjoy that very much indeed. 🙂

GH has been so good these last 4-5 episodes.

Love the twist with Andre being a profiler and being a consultant of Robert’s as they join forces with Anna to catch Carlos/Sabrina. It is beyond great to have Robert back and he still has the old magic with Anna. I really like Andre and his chemistry with Jordan as well. The four of them would make a great crime fighting team.

I enjoyed the showdown and catfight between Val and Lulu. Johnny and Scott was a lot of fun as well. We have two good mysteries going on right now with Krissy’s secret and Hayden’s identity.

I enjoyed the Andre twist as well. I wish Robert could be on full time. Such magic.

I can’t believe with the lack of doctors on General Hospital that they overlooked Vincent Irizarry and Jordi Vilasuso . What is wrong with TPTB at GH ??? This ride that we are about to take on “the crazy train”, with Elizabeth is sickening !!! Enough CRAZY !!!! What GH needs besides hot doctors is “love in the afternoon !!!” Would love to see Elizabeth with Morgan. They have great chemistry. Hopefully, Jasam will return soon ! BTW : Little Jake is the worst actor I have ever seen. I wish that TPTB would have made Hayden ,Anna and Robert’s daughter. — Robin’s fraternal twin !! She is a combination of the both of them, brains, beauty, tenacity !!!

Vincent Irizarry is now on Days–and just as handsome and sexy as ever. He never seems to age!

He sure doesn’t seem to age. He looks very much like he did in Santa Barbara all those years ago. He must take very good care of himself. Good for him.

Oh, yeah, Nancy D. The other sexy, much older man who ‘devastates’ me is Sean Connery. What a man….I don’t care if he’s older than my grandfather. He is one hot Scotsman.

WOAH!

and WOW

Morgan and Liz ???

HOT to trot this OUT … quintessential Male pheromone with Femme fatale… equal

??? male and female triggers

intrigue galore

it’s a funny thing… because.. I am so “loving” nuKiki… Hayley Erin is far and away superior to Kristen Alderson… Hayley brings so much confidence and layers Kiki with all the character faults and what she has yet to aspire… with all that she’s defined by… Ava… and Nina… is that coming to fruition…. Hayley Erin is nailing her part

so… as much as I love seeing Kiki… still, in part, with Morgan… I definitely do NOT want her with dull as nails Michael. I take comfort at least she is hanging with Morgan. bff… why not… it’s still sexy… is this a step backward for her character to go back with Morgan…. dang… it… I love that Kiki is seeing eye to eye with mom Ava… for the love of her little sister… and she readily admits… Ava is her mother.

I don’t know… I’m so happy just watching Hayley Erin… ACT

It just occurred to me… why not bring Rick Hearst frontburner… why not delve in to something with Kiki… just to layer her character and other outlets ???

Rick Hearst is so wasted…

DAYs of OUR Lives…. with Vincent Irizarry and Jordi Vilasuso… WOW

Oh, Patty! Morgan is all on 23? Elizabeth needs a man, not another child. Besides, she has so many problems, I just can’t see two very disturbed people coming together.

Dianne, I LOVE the idea of Joe Kelly and Laura. Genie did say she thought Laura could run Kelly’s–that would put her in the middle of the action–like the old days of Kelly’s Diner. And Joe had a great sense of humor. You have a great idea. Er-r–Luke who????? LOL!
Doug Sheehan is a great actor–and can ad lib also with Genie–I’m liking the idea very much!
I DID suggest James Read–he was so great as a baddie in Days–but traditionally he played the good guy– in North and South, etc.BUT he is a versatile actor and can play either “good” or “bad”–so James or Doug for Genie–anyone else with me on this one?

I’m on board! Joe Kelly would be great and yes, Laura at Kellys would put her in a position to meet people and converse with other characters. I can write a story right now. If Joe Kelly doesnt come back , have Laura run Kellys and meet a mysterious stranger and fall in love and have that guy connected somehow to the business world and in the ELQ mix which would pit her and her mystery man up against Nick?

In Friday’s episode Lulu was using her cell phone to “almost” text Dante. Wasn’t it implied that her cell phone was destroyed in the cabin fire along with her coat and car keys? I guess in Port Charles when you are visibly shaken over almost going to jail you still find time to buy a new cell phone. Valerie….there is so much the writers can do with her character. I keep waiting to see if they will bring her father onto the canvas. If it ends up like other soaps we will learn she and Jordan are half-sisters.

I agree, Patricia. I loath Valerie, but a story which entails her childhood and what makes her tick, would answer so many questions. At one point, I think Rose suggested that she is a Quartermaine scion….Ward’s offspring. Jordan and Val sisters….interesting….hmmmm!

CeeCee you have a very good memory. I did suggest she might have some Q in her via Edward, Mary Mae and Ward. Sometimes I think soaps are built on the theory of “six degrees of separation.” And judging from most comments re: the Val, Dante, Lulu triangle, I’m probably one of the very few who hopes she can make a respectable life for herself after her mistakes. But right now a lot of characters have a “lot’s of splainin to do.” Oh well, that’s what makes the soap world go round.

I don’t know why Shari Belafonte was hired to play the mayor. She can’t act. The other lady, I’m sorry I don’t know her name, but she was more than competent in the role, plus she could act. I don’t know why GH has such a history with being stuck on “known celebrities” playing inconsequential roles on this show. I’ve vented. I’m better now.

Hi,
I wondered the same thing. We just do not know. Perhaps the ‘first’ Lomax quit? But, I may be way off base here, I think it has to do with appearance and personality. I do realize that Shari’s Lomax does seem sort of dour…however, she is probably soft around the edges, and pretty.
Moreover, comparatively speaking, the other lady seemed very masculine to me; Shari is anything but. My point? Well, if memory serves me right, the viewer got a hint of a past romance/sexual liaison between Lomax ( does she have a first name? It’s weird calling her Lomax, lol) and Paul. I may sound shallow, forgive me for that, but it seems inconceivable to me that Paul would be interested in such a hard, not so comely woman. He is always so ‘well-manicured’; and strikes me as the eternal playboy, Don Juan; Don Giovanni…..whatever. Maybe all his debaucherous past and hers will be exploited and explored….brought to the surface by Anna, Scorpio and Jordan, to prove what a cad Paul really is. Just a thought, madluv.

Yeah, that’s pretty plausible, I guess. It’s just frustrating. Thanks CeeCee!

To Mr. Fairman:
I just happened to browse through, and I came upon your post.
I can only speak for myself, sir…..I sincerely apologize for being so remiss as to not considering your position in all these infantile battles that have been going on for over a year. This is, as you specified, your livelihood, and I have no right to bash any character. I am better than that. Again, forgive me, sir. Thank you. My best to you, Cecelia (CeeCee).

you to shame yourselfs and valerie stop stealing dante from lulu you stay away from dante and lulu valerie you are going way too far this leave dante and lulu alone and valerie i wish you get but in jail in real life you really hurt dante and lulu for real life. how dare you valerie

More of the Story on ‘General Hospital’ Star Josh Kelly’s Latest Film Role in ‘The Workout’

We had previously shared that General Hospital’s Josh Kelly was taking three weeks away from his role of Cody Bell to a shoot a role in an upcoming movie entitled The Workout.

Josh originally revealed his role in the film during an episode of GH castmates, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson’s (Spinelli) podcast.

Now Deadline has filled in some of the blanks, and shared some intriguing intel on the premise of the film and its back-story.  The film stars Kelly along with Peter Jae, and UFC Fighter, Ashlee Evans-Smith. Other cast members include The Bay’s Kristos Andrews.

In The Workout, two army rangers set out to create a workout video, but their plans are abruptly halted when a mob hit interrupts their filming. Tragically, one of the rangers loses his wife in the attack, sending him on a relentless mission to take down the mob and anyone who stands in his way.

The film from James Cullen Bressack, almost did not get financed.  Apparently, ten days before his birthday, Bressack made a post on Instagram about the feature and production, casting, and financing came from the post … illustrating the power of social media. After the post gained traction, a producer provided financing and actors expressed interest in joining the project, leading to a quick production.

In a statement, Bressack shared, “As artists a painter paints, a musician makes music, a writer writes, but as filmmakers we have to ask permission to create. It’s time to change that narrative. This film spawned from a necessity to create. We create. We tell stories. We play pretend. I’m excited to take this journey. This is the truest form of collaboration and a community of friends coming together to make something fun. While our industry has had a rough time recently with strikes and a possible strike looming in the future, it’s nice to remind ourselves why we got into film to begin with. To have fun telling stories.”

No word yet on when The Workout will be released.

So, looking forward to seeing this collaborative effort featuring GH’s Josh Kelly? Comment below.

General Hospital’s Adam J. Harrington Weighs-in On John and Carly, and How it’s ‘Starting to Get Very Complicated”

On recent episodes of General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright) came to John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) rescue as he was beaten down in an assault. Carly put on her “nurses cap,” sort of speak, and got John to his hotel room and watched over to him, to make sure he didn’t lose consciousness.

GH fans also got their first glimpse of what may be a new romance for Carly, if she and John continue to bond.  If John and Carly were to have a relationship, it would certainly have a ripple effect with Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard).

Adam J. Harrington shared his view on the scenes and what might be next between the two. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Harrington shared, “I thought it was written in a way where there’s an understanding and a respect between them both. I don’t think there was any moment where she was not aware that he’s an FBI agent, and there was no moment that he wasn’t aware of her history and relationship to other people in the town. I really liked it. I was really looking forward to shooting it with Laura and we had a really nice time shooting it.”

Photo: ABC

When Carly and John part ways, it seems there were some romantic sparks, as Harrington puts it, “Isn’t that interesting that sometimes with people, the one moment they actually show how they feel is when they know there’s an escape hatch. They know they’re about to walk away. So, it’s almost safe in that moment to do it. I thought that was really special about how (the writers) handled John and Carly. Even the music in that scene was beautifully done.”

Where is this all heading? Conflict! Internally and professionally, and as Adam explains, “Who Carly was to John on paper as just a tool to be used as bait is starting to get very complicated.”

What would you think of a John and Carly pairing? Would you prefer him with Anna, or neither of them? Let us know via the comment section and take our poll below.
