GENERAL HOSPITAL: What Is Happening To Tracy? Who Is Hayden's Father?

Courtesy/ABC
On Thursday’s episode of General Hospital, something is clearly going on with Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) mind, or memory.
In another secret meeting with Hayden (Rebecca Budig), Tracy looks lost, confused, and disoriented, but then she is able to sort of snap herself back into the moment. Hayden voices her concern for Tracy’s inablity to focus on their conversation. The meet-up is an update on how Hayden is working to double-cross her new husband, Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) to help get ELQ back in the hands of the Quartermaines.
However, Tracy is holding another secret, which she sort of threatens Hayden with by bringing up the woman’s father. Hayden snaps back to never mention her father again which rankles her ire. Tracy even calls Hayden, “Rachel”. Later, Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins) sees Hayden and Tracy together, and is curious as to what is going on. Tracy covers, but then Hayden tells Dillon to get his mother to a doctor. When Hayden exits Tracy assures Dillon there is nothing wrong with her, but clearly something is.
Meanwhile back at Wyndemere, an untrusting Nikolas is scouring the internet for information on his wife. He is able to look up and identify the man they saw in Las Vegas who called out to Hayden as “Rachel”. Later, when Hayden returns to Wydemere and in a subsequent conversation, Hayden tells Nikolas both her parents are dead when he tries to pry into her background.
So, what do you think is happening to Tracy Quartermaine? Who do you think is Hayden’s biological father? Share your theories in the comment section below!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

Brain tumor or aneurism. The new neurosurgeon needs a storyline.
Great theory.
some sort of brain problem. maybe a tumor or a stroke
sounds plausible…
I agree,
Tracy was having a secure because of a brain tumor. Also Hayden is related to somebody from Port Charles or maybe sombody from Nikolas’ family killed her parents.
Seizure!
Yes I really do think Tracey had a seizure as I just retired from working with the best Neurosurgery ICU and it was real. If I’m wrong she should get the Oscar.
Ms. Judy
Tapeworm cystecerci.
Is she losing weight? Is she ill? Her cheeks are sunken in and I am concerned.
I thought the same thing… about her sunken cheeks.
I thought she was having a mild heart attack
then… I was like… Traci , has always been … her own pillar of strength… how could this be happening
what a delay tactic for Hayden
back to Ms. Traci : she became so still… snapped too… ??? memory lapse ?
Hayden can tell any one… she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.. which will further frustrate Traci
any way… this our Ms. Q
good story coming
I really like Tracy; Hope she gets better. I don’t like how Nicolas has changed. He used to be a piller of strength for everyone. Now he can’t be trusted.
Debbie Hamilton
Its Holleywood! Any make-up artist can make someone perfectly healthy! Just my thought… I would hope Tracy is a great actress! As for her illness… I think a tumor. As for Hayden… I think its E.iley”s twin sister!
I’m assuming (and hoping) the sunken appearance was made possible by the make up department and that the fabulous Miss Jane Elliott is healthy as can be.
thanks Amy! I’m hoping that’s what it is
I agree! Good acting. I think as far as Hayden, I think she is Emily’s twin sister! I know this is my second reply because I messed up the first reply. Im worming on a cracked screen.
Before her little ‘episode’ (which I believe is a mini stroke) I had noticed that Tracey’s makeup was completely different. Her cheeks definitely more sunk in, but eye makeup was lighter as well. I thought she looked fabulous, and the makeup department was finally updated her look to go with her new hairdo. It would be wonderful to see Jane Elliott in a new storyline. She’ll act the crap out of it!
Her appearance, as someone already said is definitely the job of a good make-up artist. But, who really knows?
I hope its not Alzheimer? It will have to be something that she can recover from. Maybe a stroke where Jane can blow our minds with another amazing performance?
Like Jim said, Paul could be Hayden’s father but havent they already seen each other? Paul mentions Susan. This couldnt be Susan? Do you think Tracy had a daughter with Paul that he or we never knew about? I dont know but its intriguing. I always thought Hayden was a Q! Regardless, her and Tracy’s scene in the restaurant on Thursday was great! Tracy played it perfectly and Hayden’s timing asking Tracy what was wrong and giving her time to regroup was done perfectly! I really think they are mother and daughter, somehow!
I can see mother/daughter also. If Tracy gets sick I hope it doesn’t last too long. If she gets sick though I would like to see Laura involved in Tracy’s recovery somehow and I think it could be good material for both ladies. I would like to see these two characters as friends one day..or at least “reluctant” friends. Laura is such a nurturer and I could see her feeling bad for Tracy and trying to help her through a recovery. Laura is always able to give most people the benefit of the doubt and see the best in most people. I would also like to see the writers bring back the close friendship once shared between Laura and Monica. The Monica/Laura friendship was heavily portrayed in the 70’s and 80’s but then it dropped in the 90’s. Those two have a grandchild connection now and it seems weird to me the writers don’t have them communicating with each other much. There’s been a few scenes in 2015 where Monica and Laura were in the same room together to see the grandkids and the story really didn’t even have them saying hello to each other. Laura used to be more acquainted with the Quartermaines and it’s weird to me that they haven’t written her that way in decades.
Laura… it’s all good and well.. that she’s the nurturer… moral compass… but she looks like she’s ready to fart!
LOL… I was just sick… of this… when Nicholas and Hayden came to Windermear… and she could barely muster a congratulations.. and spouted cliché and resonated boredom
ugh! that hug from Hayden! drink more champagne
is this the Laura we get ?
let’s see her wild and abandon… total combustion of lust FEEL and surcharge… all the butterflies and chorus of good will… die
honest to godliness… seriously!
thank you Genie Francis… GH sucks!
Maybe she changed her appearance and its been a long time since they had seen each other…when Dillion showed up i thought that was another clue…they would be siblings.
Jim, I’m burnt out on rubber masks and facial bandages!
That’s what I thought, too, Timmm. But, as you do astutely point out, Alzheimer’s does not get better; but worse. So, it could be all the mishaps everyone is expressing, here. A series of strokes (TIAs); or experiencing mild symptoms of Angina approaching a heart attack, down the road.
I am assuming there must be a reason for this coming down. With Tracy having medical issues, her plans with Hayden ‘socking’ it to Nikolas will fall apart or put on hold. Then what?
Also, I had stated that Hayden could possibly be Paul’s daughter, Susan……but, I think a poster already suggested that Tracy knew Hayden’s father? If so, there goes that theory. Is Michael Easton part of this mystery, somehow? I like the mystery very much…..later.
Thank you for your salutations of a few days ago, Timmmy..luv-ya. HV to you, too.
Years ago Edward had a heart attack and Tracy famously withheld his meds. [Heres the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2SO8JAPqWo ] So there is heart issues in the family. Your right, she will be loaded with her ammo and right before she spills the beans she will go into cardiac arrest and be in a coma and someone will make sure she never wakes up and so it goes. Someone said Larry Ashton might have poisoned her and is up to something. Maybe? Larry is a sneak but I dont think he would try to kill Tracy. As for Hayden, I dont think she is Tracy’s daughter. [I wish] Tracy is gloating about her identity and Hayden’s father so I’m guessing maybe she is an offspring of Monica’s or Emily’s sister? I dont know but if she were Monica’s daughter maybe we would then see her once in a while? NOPE! remember we thought that what happen with Jason but it didnt and its a sin! Thats for another day. Later love!
@Timmm.
Thank you, my Timmm. I enjoyed that….Tracy was so pretty….and sooo wispy!!
Wow!! What a stab-you-in-the-back family!! I had no idea Tracy was so ‘molish’. It is a wonder Monica allowed her to remain in residence!
I still like Tracy. She has that certain Je ne sais quoi quality that attracts. Also, she has calmed down a bit, ehh? But, it seems that this family has always been steeped in intrigue, mystery and peccadilloes…..later, babes.
Anything is possible, Timmm. Maybe Tracy gave a baby up for adoption, in the name of Susan/Rachel/Hayden?…Or, Susan’s bio mother (Jenny?) remarried and Susan assumed her step-dad’s name? Could ‘Susan’ have later changed her name to Rachel?
Suddenly, I find this story interesting….wanting more…later.
Paul Hornsby entered GH as a single father. Susan was off-screen when he got engaged to Tracy & revealed later. Susan’s mother has never been disclosed. But, the kid was elementary age when she was introduced to both Jenny Eckert & Tracy for the first time. So, neither is her mother.
@KansaGuest.
Hi, Kansas.
Thank you for that info. Lol. It goes to show you I know next to nothing of GH history. I suppose I should read before putting my two cents worth.
This mystery is truly piquing my interest….since a long while. Later.
Nikolas, it’s called an annulment. Mystery solved.
Hayden has no connection to Hornsby. There is no connection between them Tracy clearly has some neurological issues which would fit the new Doc’s storyline. Who ever Hayden really is is gonna be a shocker like Kristina Davis Corinthos’s lesbian relationship with Parker.
It still think its Paul…
You may just have something there, Joy.
Is GH doing a PSA on women’s heart health for February?
What a great point, Jake! Yes…I agree. Women’s heart health, whose symptoms are so different from those of the opposite sex, has made many strides. I am so glad for that…it has even infiltrated Fashion Week. What better way to attract the notice of women to pay close attention to their bodies.
I hope Jane Elliott isn’t leaving GH.
I think Tracey will be getting sick soon, and forget everything. I think Paul Hornsby is Haden’s Father? Just a guess.
Anna was w/Paul…. and said; “You never talk about your daughter?”
catching Paul in a vulnerable state… shares her name, Susan.
so… could Hayden, whos Rachel, really be Susan?
Paul may have made that name up… Susan, to throw Anna off track ?
It was mentioned back in the early ’90s that Paul’s daughter’s name was Susan. She was a preteen then. The age would fit without even SORASing her, name notwithstanding.
Oh am thinking Tracy had a mini stroke otvTIA. Hayden is Sysant, Pauls daughter
Considering Tracy told Hayden she admired her father it is unlikely she was talking about Paul because Tracy thinks Paul’s a jacka** —- but with soaps you never know,
I said previously it could be Paul…maybe Tracy is having stroke and not knowing what she is saying?
however, there are only two people i think Tracy ever admired-Alan and Edward…she could be a Q ? but i dont know why Hayden would hate either one unless it involved her mother.
Tracy had said that Hayden’s father was just an acquaintance so could she be the daughter of one of the Solese family or the daughter of Sonny’s enemy Joe Scully??? not sure what could be wrong with Tracy but I hope the actress is not leaving.
Joe Scully….now that’s a name from way back. Good theory. I had the same reaction as you: “Jane Elliott please don’t leave GH.” She’s been there for so long and she’s such an important character to the show. I know it’s silly but as I watched the character of Tracy losing focus yesterday, I became almost worried like I would for a relative. I know this is all make believe but I don’t know if I can stomach seeing Tracy get seriously ill. If she is about to get ill, I hope it doesn’t drag out the Nikolas/Hayden/ELQ drama for another 12 months. And I hope they don’t follow the traditional formula of Tracy losing her memory due to a stroke or alzheimers to allow the story to drag on. I would like to see this story on a fast track and I’m glad they are discussing a mysterious father right now. If Jane is about to get a major storyline, I’m happy for her because she deserves a fantastic storyline. I just hope her character isn’t sick for too long because, as a viewer, I like Tracy feisty and busting everyone’s chops.
in any event… I’m looking forward to the dynamic of Tracy and Monica
i’d rather watch Monica nurse her sister in law… as opposed to Laura.. continually expressing heart felt nauseate
I say this… duress
GH ! writers… Genie Francis is embolden rich with character
I thought maybe Tracy was having a stroke. Hmmm. I think Paul could be Hayden’s father since they brought up his daughter the other day and are now mentioning Hayden’s father.
i’m love jane no matter what she’s doing she’s always electrifying and i’m also loving Rebecca Budig as Hayden, as to who is her father, i’m really stump here. Paul would be to obvious and their really isn’t any other guy in port charles who could of fathtered the character unless again julian the weasel was driving around boarding school impregnating teenage girls like he did with alexis hope not though we can’t have everyone in town be related to Sam. I’ve already put out there that anna and robert should have another offspring that they had when they went on the run because of cesar in the the 90’s but that offspring would be in their 20’s, so beyond that, i hope we find out soon because i’m really curious now. oh also the scene between the new doc grffin and liz was pure magic they are a really great match, it had me saying good bye jason, see you with sam when i drop of jake for you to babysit, these two where smoking hot, hope Rebecca sticks with GH this would be a real great lost.
“Aria”
“GREAT post” delish delight and done UP right
1. love your post that Hayden is NOT related to Sam… I’m sick of how she has the gall to treat (her cousin) Nicholas… like he’s the outsider… give me a break
2. I’m stumped, with; what is Hayden connect? if it’s Paul… OK.. but.. as another poster, alluded.. I’m intrigued by what … if she’s an ex to Michael Easton new character… No?
3. bye bye Jason… You … are not… good … enough… for Liz… stalemate and be boring… everlasting.. with Sam
4. YES YES and MORE… Liz and Griffin.. sizzle
I will damnation GH / DISNEY / and ABC… if they do not contract Rebecca Herbst
it’s all good
Patrick…you think SAM has the gall to treat Nicolas like he’s an outsider…how about that he kept the love of her life Jason away from her and Danny…lied to her repeatedly…kept Jason’s identity… her HUSBAND’s identity…her son’s father, a secret. And you don’t like the way Sam treats Nicolas? Talk about being stumped! 🙂
Thanks ‘Beccs…. LOL you got me their… I was only thinking in terms… that it was all Liz lies . ie: with Sam
Nicholas played just as big a part
LOL… i’m so taken with Liz… that I was focusing solely on how dissed she’s been. be it fans or denizens of Port Charles
the alliance she had, or has, with Nicholas is not really focused on
I liked that Nicholas told Liz the other day… that she was his best friend and how he invited her and her sons to stay at Windemeare
Lol…Patrick…happy to remind u about Prince Nic’s unprincely behavior toward his cousin Sam! I notice you have a “crush” on Liz so I’ll let u slide for being blinded! 😉 I’ve always loved Liz AND Sam…but was completely on Sam’s side in the Jason files. I think Liz herself summed it up best recently when she explained to little Jake about her lie…and finally realized how she would feel if the tables were turned and Sam had kept Jason (had he been her husband) away from her and lil Jake.
I’ve loved Liz again lately. Taking responsibility, showing vulnerability, emotionally bereft…she’s at once poignant and stmpathetic. Not because Ive changed my mind..she was totally wrong. But I now feel her pain at all she’s lost, albeit at her own doing. My heart broke for her at the end of Friday’s episode. Excellent acting…anguish, despair…I hope we dont lose Rebecca Herbst…there’s a great redemption story here with a possible great romance with Dr. Gorgeous!
Hi, Patrick,
You and I have exchanged a few thoughts concerning Sam. For the longest time all I could see about this character was her one-faceted acting; her whispered, monotone conversations grating on the nerves.
Now, I find myself in a quandary because I am discovering a brand new Sam. I am actually starting to not only like her, but appreciate her as an actress. In her own quiet, subdued manner, she got under my skin. Go figure. Perhaps it is the fact that through my charities ( mainly dedicated to children) I have meet many people; and, lo and behold, Kelly Monaco is a steadfast advocate of children’s rights and supporter/activist of ‘ Feed the Children’.
Also, her extensive hearing loss does impair and affect her vocal tone. So, I feel like a foolish heel; to say the least.
I was impressed by this….she doesn’t just sit around looking pretty in her thigh-high boots. LOL.
I also like Miss Lizzie, always have, except when she was bitten by the devil and kept Jason to herself. Now, she is regretting her actions, and finally is acting as a mother should.
I must admit I feel a lot lighter of heart with my newfound feelings for Sam. Later.
Paul can’t be the father because I’m assuming the mother would be Jenny eckert and their offsprings would be younger then Dillon so if it’s Paul , whose the mom ? Let’s say they decided to go with Jenny being the mom and rewriting the timeline for the character then that would make Hayden related to all the Spencer’s & quatermaines ! Agian her being Jenny’s daughter wouldn’t add up.
Sorry she would only be related to Dillon not all the quatermaines but definitely the Spencer’s
Susan Hornsby was a sick 7 or 8-year-old little girl when she on GH back in the 90’s. She was introduced on-screen to both Jenny Eckert & Tracy Q at the time. So, neither is her mother. When Paul’s business dealings & schemes caused a lot of turmoil in his life, he sent Susan to live with his mother/her grandmother. Susan’s real mother was never revealed or seen onscreen.
Paul came to Port Charles in 1991. He already had a daughter abt 8 or 9 yrs old,her name was Susan. The Cartel poison Susan and held on to the antidote,so Paul would do their bidding. Jenny is not the mother of Susan..Susan’s mother is unknown..Tracy was Susan’s stepmother, when Paul was married to her..but Paul was cheating on Tracy with Jenny. Paul and Jenny only had 1 child, that’s Paul Jr.
Paul has mentioned Susan once before, so I don’t think he used a fake name.
I have no clue who Hayden may be but I do wish they would get Tracy a great guy who really cares about her. She’s really a caring person, who has been hurt so many times and buries her pain, taking it out on others. I think she deserves a good man!
“Tracy” … buries her pain, taking it out on others. I think she deserves a good man
it’s a cause celeb what Jane Elliott brings… LOL uproarious laud celebrate and cheer her Tracy
it’s always going to be heartbreak … that this … last of the Q empire offspring.. loads
loads implosion really is a heart on her sleeve steady gait fires her own will
what a conundrum she reels
I like Tracy too and she”s been carrying the Quartermaine story, whatevet’s left of it, for some time now. But I used to love to hate her character; she’s only become sympathetic in the last few years. There wad a time where she was just horrible to Emily, Jason and AJ. Hated how she demeaned AJ in particular…
I too am hoping whatever it is is temporary. We need her Q presence.
Wondering…maybe Larry Ashton…have something to do with Hayden…or even Tracy’s blackout? Helena?
Years ago, I used to hate her too! I do like her now..and you are so right,
“we NEED her Q presence.”
Now that I think of it, you are probably correct about Larry Ashton.
@Rebecca, @ Linda
Yeah… as a newbie to GH… since 2011… I really have taken to Tracy.
LOL… it’s like… no matter how people are irritants to THEE Ms. Q
she has a soft spot left over for Our Tracy
whew!
I liked your read on her past transgressions … Oy! she’s a stern holds her heart at bay .. but… like Paul said… was it Anna… he can’t fault Traci on the one thing he missed out on… She , however, handily… put her children first.
I love the fabulous Jane Elliott Acting !
*SHE / WE have a soft spot…
Hi Linda Anne…nice to meet you! Yes…let’s hope Tracy is about to begin an interesting story…and not end hers! Lol. Yea, it seemed odd to just throw Larry in for giggles. Maybe he learned some brainwashing techniques from Helena!
Hi Patrick…
Tracy’s had some issues with Ned and Dylan but ultimately she loves them like a mama bear should. It’s other people’s children she’s never been too kind to! She really changed when she bonded with Lulu. I think that was the first time in a long time we’ve seen her maternal. In spite of her jealousy and resentment toward Laura, she took a much -in-need-of-a-mom Lulu and was there for her while Laura couldn’t be. Still wish she had been nicer to AJ…
Do you think Larry has something to do with Tracy’s illness since they met up while she was on vacation and now, when she should be rested, she’s exhibiting these signs???
Hi Rodd…I hadn’t read your post yet…was responding to the one above you…and suggested the same thing. Maybe he’s behind it.. either alone or possibly with Helena IF she’s not really dead. Hope it’s not a tumor as some have suggested.
Plutonium poisoning? That’s it! just like Luke had. Helena is alive i bet she won’t die.
thinking Tracy maybe having TIA’s and I think Hayden is Larry’s daughter
Since GH is covering a couple of current news items (public breastfeeding, lesbian relationship) and Tracey did say she was on vacation in Mexico, my thought is that she contracted zika virus. ??
Maybe Lord Larry slipped Tracy something when they ran into each other a few weeks ago. I can’t imagine him showing up out of nowhere like that was an accident, and he’s always involved in some kind of scheme. Wouldn’t shock me to find out that he’s connected to Hayden in some way.
Could also be what others have mentioned, some sort of medical story, whether a stroke, a tumor, the onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s. Jane is 69 years old and I picture Tracy to be about the same age, so it would definitely be a realistic story to tell, and I’m sure she would do a wonderful job, as she always does. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
I was thinking the same thing, Dan…..could this strange, zoned-out behavior only be presenting itself now as a delayed side-effect to Lord Larry’s “wacky tobaccy???” It could have been laced with God only knows what, and even in its pure state, that stuff is known to kill the brain cells! To have the debauched aristo simply pop up in Tracy’s “South of the Border” sojourn made no sense otherwise….there must have been some method to his “reefer madness!” At any rate, I certainly hope this doesn’t portend the end of Jane Elliot’s iconic character when there are so many others that I endlessly wish would kick the bucket…..Tracy is not one of them!
Hey, Shaybelle.
I sent you a reply about the upcoming nuptials, but, I don’t know what happened to it? Same old same old.
Anyway, I think you are so right…..Larry’s appearance was utterly out of place…..ergo, that scene where Larry nonchalantly sidled up to Tracy, smelled of rotten fish at the time. Now, the stench is getting worse.
I would not be too happy if Tracy became ill. I do agree with you; I, too, hope this is not a foreboding aimed at Tracy. I await this development with trepidation.
Love you much, carina.
oy! could this be something of the synthetic .. he may have added ?
I was so smitten just to see Lord Ashton
oy! charmer, dastardly
that selfish… even when he told Ms. Traci he’s been in err of his ways… and Traci is that gullible…
I’m inclined to believe that Traci could be
she some him not long ago… and had no reason not to trust
argh! I like the chemistry with these two
WHAT is it about seeing cheering and loving.. “our” Ms. Tracy in love ??? that’s a stretch… but when she gave up that full bodied laugh out loud giggling release
moment of silence
to see how enlivened
to see how short life calls you
from that to ( may as well be comatose) this stalwart figure still
this brings to the surface so much energies
– Tracy –
Hayden’s dad is Jackson Montgomery. Tracy has dementia.
Lol…yup….watch Jackson saunter into town, looking for Greenlee turned Hayden.
As for those aforementioned forthcoming nuptials, I’m girding my loins and stocking up on plenty of barf bags in feigned anticipation of the big “event of the century” (NOT my words!…..)…At this late date, the only real question which remains for me is does Alexis have the nerve to wear white?…….My guess is, why, yes, of course, she does!!!!! Probably even a veil…LOL!…In terms of Tracy, I really don’t wish to see her portrayed as a victim hanging on for dear life either…..be it via illness or any more amores gone amok….she’s had beyond her share, that’s for sure! Quite frankly, the only lout yet to be present and accounted for amongst Ms. Quartermaine’s motley crew of misfit men past is Mitch Williams….a sleazy politico played by Dark Shadows’ Christopher Pennock! I’m waiting for him to materialize one of these days. He was her first onscreen mistake way back when a newly-introduced Tracy wore a boho chic look with her hair in an electrified frizzy blonde coiffure…sounds awful, but she was actually quite fabulous in that decadent disco-era sort of way! But before we revisit Mitch, we first must ascertain what not-so-pretty poison the louche Lord Larry imparted upon his ex-wife’s personage….not polonium, I hope! (Been there, done that, with Luke….) Still, there must have been something ghastly in that ganja that gave way to their goofy gigglefest in Mexico! ‘Twould be too much of a coincidence were that to have no bearing on Tracy’s present state of mind. Having said that, whatever is ailing this spaced-out society maven, may it be but a temporary affliction. Long live Queen Tracy Angelica of Quartermaine! P.S. A belated Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours!
@Shay.
If Alexis dares to wear a veil…symbol of youthful innocence ( which really is a mockery in this day and age, even for the young), I will be sick right along with you.
Check out Y&R ( the Mal Young; ‘steamy site’), you’ll get a kick out of Harry 1’s comments. Cracks me up. Later, babes.
Well, CeeCeeGirl, based upon the photo on the wedding thread, it would appear that (thankfully….) there is no veil, but I called the “white” thing right. And the style was completely what I’m sure both of us were anticipating………hardly much of a mystery on that count! LOL…Okay, I shall check on “Sir Harry’s” comments….Later!
Right on, Shaybelle. I would think that a stylish off-white, couture, two- piece would have been more the thing. At least, no virginal veil..HaHa. Later.
I think she is Paul’s daughter Susan, except she goes by her middle name Rachel. Kinda like Kiki has a real first name. Paul has not seen his daughter in years probably as a baby. He would not recognized her.
Makes sense to me!
Tracy showed the same signs that my dad did when he had TIAs. They are also called mini-strokes.
could Luke be Haydens father?
Shiver me timbers! Ugh! NO MORE LUKE OR FLUKE, PLEASE!
Agree Nancy!
I believe Paul is Hayden’s father. Well, I mean, we all now know that Hayden’s real name apparently happens to be… Rachel. But, I believe that Paul is Hayden’s/Rachel’s father… Just with the way they were having them all interact, to Tracy’s health scare.
Mark my words. This is a soap opera family in the making (with Paul, Tracy, Dillon, and Hayden / Rachel)!!!!! 🙂
I’d really like to see that happen
a Q family
Her dad will be another mobster because those are in really short supply. LOL.
I don’t have a guess. I only pray it doesn’t take a year to resolve. We’ve been there done this a thousand and one times.
I hope Helena is poisoning Tracy for some Cassidine action..
I really need some suspensful gripping intruging action ..
I’m not so sure Helena is really dead. Since I never tire of her “imagination” (even though I don’t like a lot of the stuff she puts in motion like Jake), and seeing that poison has been the choice of scheming women since forever…you never know. And I’m sure she or another Cassidine wants to fill the coffers again for a Nicholas and Spencer…especially with ELQ $’s.
On the other hand I don’t want Tracy out of action, and any more hospital bedside scenes for a while. So let’s just hope it’s the flu.
What if, Laura gave birth to twins and Hayden is Nic s sister.
Highly unlikely since soaps never do a story about incest and Nic sleeping with his half sister would be ick– I think we can definitely rule out her being the Prince’s sister.
There is still the missing Quartermain heir or heiress.
Wow ! you’re right ! imagine that
Hayden will get her money grubbing cashola
she’s redeamed herself in my eyes… because she truly loves … Nicholas
and now… hopefully ???? Hayden will be the deciding vote for ELQ ?
it still irks me… as she lords with Traci that she has some serious blackmail over her husband… in that yellow manila envelope she got from Curtis
it’s just a matter of time , before Nicholas finds out who “Rachel” is… so they both have something over each other… nullifying both their trust, marriage, and keeping the secret “again” of her identity… since Traci will be indisposed.
Stroke?
It looked like a mini-stroke to me. I hope it gives Jane Eliot something good to play, because just being snarky with Hayden is boring.
I think Tracy was confused the show was going to feature a scene with nary a Corinthos in sight…
Love it.
Good one, Alan! LOL.
Lol.
progressive writing but please bring back ron to oversee jean the rest of everyone
A good new acting direction for JE. Instead of being fooled by yet another man, give her a health scare story. The Hayden father mystery is intriguing…
Paul, or someone else, could be drugging her to make her disoriented. I hope whatever drug it is makes her less snarky, less loud, less shrieking, and nicer, funnier, and more docile. She can still be Tracy without ALWAYS being a tyrannical bitch. No one is a bitch ALL the time unless they are plain psychotic. I will grant that the writing for this character has not been as grating as when Ron C. wrote for her, however.
I’m w/ Amy on this
you never imagine Tracy not in full charge of her faculties
tears unfold
what is she going through
Jane Elliott REELS constant
Is she Rebecca Shaw, Emily’s twin that was involved with Nicholas before. Maybe she had ano accident and had facial surgery and there changing hers and Emily’s Bio Dad to someone else!
Here’s a thought: Rachel related to Anthony Zacchara as illegitimate daughter? Tracy WISHES that she had only been an acquaintance of Rachel’s father, LOL…
I, too, thought she had a TIA. But a tumor would work as well. Something to to render her unable to communicate or to remember Hayden’s scheme & true identity for a while – ala Zechariah. And give Tracy a good story!
Oh, I hope TPTB don’t go that route–keep Tracy acerbic and vibrant–the show needs her character and energy. Enough lethargy going on!
Totally agree Nancy. I’m getting tired of the hospital, bedside stuff. So let’s just hope she ate the wrong something. I, too, want her part of the action.
Like i said before i still think its Paul…why bring in somebody else?
Where I get a little confused is that it was Rick who brought her to Port Charles. And in a town where everyone seems to bump into everyone at Kelly’s, GH or Metrocourt how could Hayden and Paul not have seen each other? Plus Paul seems more interested in the gunrunning business than ELQ. But soaps being what they are (thank goodness), there’s always the possibility of Paul and Hayden being related.
I am hoping they are not making her have Alzheimer’s. Soap characters can come back form the dead but not Alzheimer’s!
Well, what ever’s happening with Tracy, I feel pretty sure she’ll be sent to the Shriner’s Hospital for aging soap stars.
I think Tracy is ok she doing the same thing sonny did, and has a plan. I also think that Nicholas arranged for the marriage ceremony between himself and Hayden and in I doing so it is not legal. As for hayden I wonder if she is Paul’s long lost daughter. Due to that story line popping up here recently out of the blue. Or if Emily has been caught prisoner by Helena all these years. And I think Helena has a few big surprises for the folks in port Charles which may included Helena herself reappearancing . And with Jake in Therpy to remember his time on the island may be what starts the first domino to fall in the continued Helena saga.
So wow to many years of daytime soaps. I mean after all wasn’t it 30 + years ago that robert, Luke and crew saved the world from freezing Lol
I think they all are missing Spencer
Cassadine and Spencer said this Hayden
Barnes is a liar and not a great person
For my father she lied to him about her
Identity and her real father is Paul
Hornsby SHE IS SUSAN HORNSBY
HER MOTHER IS TRACY MY
UNCLE SONNY TOLD ME ALL ABOUT
IT
