What’s a game of “pass the phone” amongst friend, err enemies, right? Well, General Hospital has yet to reveal to its viewers just who is the real culprit who shot congressman Drew Cain! So, Cameron Mathison (Drew) leads an all-new social media video to try to get some clues and some background on the lead suspects, and to connect the dots full-circle to his Port Charles alter-ego.

Mathison shares, “I’m passing the phone to the love of my life who has been wrongly accused in my attempted murder.” Of course, he is talking about Willow Tait! In kind, Katelyn MacMullen as Willow, says, “I’m passing the phone to my ex-husband, who is framing me for custody of our kids.”

Next up, Rory Gibson, who as Michael shares, “I’m passing the phone to my mother, who will go way too far to protect me,” and then Laura Wright as Carly adds, “I’m passing the phone to the selfish mother who threw her daughter under the bus to save herself.”

That brings in Cynthia Watros as Nina, who explains,”I’m passing the phone to my friend who exposed my past fling with Drew right before his wedding to my daughter.” Nina is speaking of Curtis Ashford who dropped the mother of all bombshell’s on Willow, hoping it would stop her marriage to Drew.

Next, Curtis played by Donnell Turner brings it back around to Portia.”I’m passing the phone to my wife, who let Drew’s blackmailing get in between our marriage,” he snarls. That brings up Portia played by Brook Kerr, who has been looking like either the prime suspect or is being framed by multiple parties to make it look like she is the guilty party.

Portia says, “I’m passing the phone to the Congressman who got what he deserved.” In the end, it’s Cameron Mathison who buttons up the game of telephone with some juicy intel that this crime may be solved sooner than we may think! “Stay tuned in General Hospital to find out who shot Drew,’ says Mathison.

Take a look below at the GH stars and their characters giving us another look at the backstory of how we got to where we are today.

Then, weigh-in via the comment section below, and let us know if you still think, Willow, Michael, Portia, Curtis, Carly or Nina, could still be the shooter, or do you think it’s someone else? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Pass the phone to whomever, just end this storyline please!

Amen!

This storyline has gone on WAY too long. At this point I don’t care who shot Drew.

Love how this storyline gets people riled up.

Part of the issue is Drew’s increased screen time in 2025. Through the end of October, Drew appeared in 130 episodes (second only to Carly). This compares to 78 episodes in the same time period in 2024 (behind 13 other cast members).

That said, Matheson continues to perfectly play the role of the town’s least liked citizen.

This has been a great storyline IMO! Can’t wait to find out who shot the congressman. Interesting that the phone was not passed to Tracy, who found Drew.

Detective Jason Morgan will solve the case.

Jacinda

Sure hope Jason solves it soon. Then can Willow stop mooning over Drew. She is just not the type for him, nor is Chase. He is so stupid, putting her before his wife.

I think Ezra did it !!

My money’s on Scout! She finally decided that enough was enough. Besides, if it were anyone that TRULY hated Drew, he would have been shot in the head!

My money is on drew I think it’s obvious he hired someone to shoot him and frame Michael because drew only wants Michael blamed no one else

You would have to have one HELL of a lot of faith and trust in somebody to allow them to shoot you twice in the back, and believe that neither death or paralysis would be the likely outcome.

Is Drew mentally twisted enough to hire somebody to shoot him? Maybe. But he’s also too paranoid to trust anybody like that. So, not likely that this is a “Bob Roberts” scenario

It makes sense drew hired someone he wants to be blame Micheal no one else

I agree. Would make this storyline interesting. Really would blow a lot of minds!

I think it’s Jacinda but would prefer for it to be Willow, who has blocked it out of her mind.

I would prefer it to be Willow as well. I just can’t stand that character anymore- they’ve ruined her. And is it ever going to come to light that Willow was the one playing sinister games with Sasha’s baby? A lot of folks around Michael
are confused as to why he thinks she shouldn’t be trusted around the kids. Wouldn’t that little fact coming to light justify his feelings? As far as Jacinda is concerned, I don’t understand what her motive would be. The crime was an act of passion and that wouldn’t include Jacinda.

I’m passing the phone to Monica Quatermain. I believe she discovered that he was not the real Drew; therefore, she set out to get rid of him. Not liking what he was doing to the family, and the fact that she was dying anyway, she decided to take Drew down with her.

Comet or Outback are more likely than Monica.

No. Just no. Monica didn’t do it. I wish folks would stop suggesting that.

What in the actual f**k?

We think it’s someone else.

OK. Drew blackmailed Portia to “shoot” him.but not kill him jusy do he can frame Michael. That’s my theory and im sticking to it! I hope we find out soon because this story is getting old.

Drew hired someone to shoot him and frame Michael so he could go to prison and willow could have The kids

That’s not actually a bad theory. The thing is though is that Portia actually HAS a good alibi – but it’s not one she wants to use. At least not until she’s in her second trimester and has that paternity test done. Because the night that Drew got shot was also the night that she hooked up with Dr Isaiah. So she would play that card to get out of prison if she had to, but wouldn’t want to mention it right now, because she don’t know who’s the baby daddy yet!

Would be interesting to see what Portia’s reaction would be if she finds out that not only were Trina and her boyfriend Kai present at the scene of the crime, but that they also disposed of the blackmail material which would have arguably made Portia & Curtis into viable suspects in Dragon Chow Drew’s shooting.

Drew hired someone to shoot him and frame Michael

And God forbid Portia tell Curtis the truth who may go on to be the next Taggert.

ummm I want to pass the phone to whomever can tell me where the F*ck is Anna? I want Anna back, where is Finola Hughes? Someone tell me!!!!!

With what is going on with Sidwell and her granddaughter, she is desperately needed, and Dante is in over his head as interim police commissioner dealing with his son being arrested. Worst possible time to have Anna vanish.

She’s dealing with a short term illness according to Facebook, but who knows if that is true.

“Facebook”, a.k.a. the known place for A.I.-generated fake spoilers. Unless Ms Hughes has said anything, then it isn’t true.

Oh, excuse me…

Sidwell hired someone

It’s definitely a woman, the shadow was to small for a man. They also had earrings on.

I don’t think Michael did it cause Drew would not be walking around

I still don’t understand the point of drew getting shot so far it has not changed anything to make things worse the story is over rated and boring

It’s time to reveal drews shooter and move on

In addition, GH while actually down from the previous week in the 18-49 ratings share, they still out performed Beyond the Gates for third place. However, GH was firmly in third place for the 25-54 ratings share.

The stories that were featured for the week included: Anna’s (Finola Hughes) PTSD and struggle with painful memories tied to Cesar Faison, and her concocting a plan to get rid of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) recording Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) threatening her, and later running into a severe threat from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) regarding Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting, and Drew enlisting Ava (Maura West) to gain leverage over Jack, which resulted in Ava drugging him, while Drew went snooping for the evidence Brennan had against him.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Y&R remained in the top spot amongst all the soaps once again with 3,062,000 tuning in, and up +35,000 for the week, while year-to-year still showing strong gains at +231,000 viewers. In story, the major threat to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Daphne’s (Murielle Hilaire) marriages continued as Steffy and Carter swore they would not tell their spouses that the two had a drunken hook-up. BEYOND THE GATES

Beyond the Gates tallied an average of 1,611,000 total viewers for the week, up +72.000 year-over-year and down slightly in tune-in for the week losing just -36,000 viewers. The CBS soap came in fourth place in the key demos for the week behind General Hospital, with whom they are often trading places for the third spot.

In story, after Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) was released from the hospital, Hayley (Marquita Goings) stuck to her plan, doubling down on poisoning him and even getting caught in a major lie or meeting with Randy (Maurice P. Kerry), as Vernon (Clifton Davis) may be on to her machinations.

Kelly Sullivan Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’s’ Maura West Recalling When Ava Shot Connie (Exclusive)

Maura West and Kelly Sullivan

It was just over 13 years ago on General Hospital when Ava Jerome (Maura West) shot and killed Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in an effort to keep her quiet from revealing that Derek Wells was actually Ava’s back-from-the-dead brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry). It’s a crime that somehow Ava never has quite paid for either.

The episode back aired on August 13, 2013 and viewers had to say goodbye to Kelly Sullivan who played Kate and her alter, Connie. In the story, just before she died, Kate/Connie scrawled the letters AJ in her own blood, initially making the PCPD and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) think that it was AJ Quatermaine (Sean Kanan) who did the deed.

Now, Sullivan recalled sharing scenes with the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning West, during a live conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel. Kelly was the special guest talking about her recent return to the soaps in her new role as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Darcy Dylan.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF MAURA WEST

Speaking of her final GH scenes and working with Maura West, Sullivan gave her then GH co-star major props. “If you’re going to be shot by somebody (on the soaps), you want to be shot by Maura West, c’mon!”

Maura West debuted back in May 2013 as Ava, and Sullivan remembered when the As the World Turns favorite began on GH. “I remember when Maura West first arrived at GH. She walked in with this cute little bob (hairdo) and she’s just delicious,” shared Sullivan.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

Kelly revealed more about Maura, adding “I think she’s amazing! I remember right before I left the show, someone suggested, and I would still love to do this with her, if she ever want to, but someone suggested that they wanted to direct the stage play A Streetcar Named Desire with Maura and I, where I would play Stella and she would play Blanche! Wouldn’t that be great?”

Speaking of the Ava/Connie showdown scenes, Sullivan expressed, “On television and on General Hospital specifically, Maura West is able to play a character who does the most horrendous things and you still care about her and that’s the mark of a really great actor. In other words, you’re able to be liked in the midst of the most horrendous things, and as a performer not shying away from that, and to just have the courage to do what’s on the page (in the script).”

KELLY SULLIVAN PARTING THOUGHTS AS SHE LEFT GENERAL HOSPITAL

Kelly also shared her sentiments when she walked off the set of General Hospital after her run back in August of 2013. “I really was honored. Every day I would go to work and I would say a little prayer, which is I want to do justice for my character, explained Kelly. “It’s between me and my character. I get to walk this path with her and to leave the show on that note, which is, I left every out there. I just gave it my all and again what an honor it was to play Kate/Connie.”

You can catch the full conversation with Kelly where she talks about her time on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner and now The Bold and the Beautiful below.

So, do you remember the Ava and Connie scenes where Ava shot and killed her? What did you think of Kelly Sullivan’s sentiments about Maura West? Share your thoughts via the comment section. But first, watch the reveal where Ava recalls murdering Connie below!

Steve Burton Reportedly Signs Three-Year Contract with ‘General Hospital’

Published

Steve Burton

The question of will Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) stay awhile at General Hospital after his recent extended hiatus from the show earlier this year, has reportedly been answered.

TMZ via court documents obtained in Burton’s ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Sheree Gustin, shared that Steve actually inked a new three year deal with the ABC soap opera back in June.

That is significant because it was June when Burton returned back to work as Jason. In addition, the court filing confirmed that Burton had already moved back to California from Tennessee.

STEVE’S HIATUS AND HIS RETURN TO PORT CHARLES

GH fans will recall, it was back in February of 2026, that Burton announced via his Instagram that he was stepping away from his role of Jason Morgan for short break and pointed to wanting to spend quality time with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom Burton with whom he tied the knot back on May 17, 2025.

Steve expressed at that time, “I’m newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.” It was back on March 25 that viewers saw Jason carted away by the WSB after taking the fall for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) who shot then WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

Burton returned to work on June 1, and due to General Hospital taping roughly six weeks ahead of air, made his on-screen comeback on the July 13 episode.

GOING FOR GOLD AT THE UPCOMING DAYTIME EMMYS

Then, Steve and his enduring fans got an extra special treat on the same day, when it was revealed on Extra that he was nominated for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.

Steve previously won in the Supporting Actor category for his work as General Hospital’s Jason in 1998 and as The Young and the Restless’ Dylan McAvoy in 2018.

Now with Jason and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship seemingly hitting the skids, plus Jason’s commitment to staying out of mob life to focus on being present for his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), what does the future hold for the fan favorite character? Stay tuned.

So, happy to hear that Steve Burton signed a new three year deal with General Hospital? Knowing that, what storyline would you like to see Jason get involved and with who? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.
