GENERAL HOSPITAL: Will Detective Sexy Pants Save Maxie From Dunkleman?

What a headline, eh? So, on ABC’s General Hospital it has become apparent that Levi Dunkleman (Zachary Garred) is not on the up and up! And from the looks of it he is setting up Nathan (AKA Detective Sexy Pants) to take the fall, making it look as if he is the one who turned Levi into the immigration authorities causing him to be deported back to Australia!
After Maxie (Kirsten Storms) threw Nathan (Ryan Paevey) out of her apartment (where he has been living) and now is promising to go back to Australia with Levi, can the detective get Maxie to see the error of her ways? That he is the good guy and not duplicitous Levi? Can Nathan win her heart, when it is oh-so-apparent, that these two are drawn to each other?
In a preview for this week’s upcoming episodes of GH, Nathan talks with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) at the PCPD trying to go over the evidence to prove that Levi is the one who called the authorities, but in the end Nathan feels like they don’t have any solid proof!

I hope he gets killed so Maxie can finally be happy with Nathan the way it should be. How can Maxie not love Nathan after all the wonderful things he has done lying to the judge so she can get custody of her daughter. That is true love. If I were Maxie I would want to be with Nathan because he is special man.
And it would be awesome to see Maxie squaring it off with Muter!

And yes, Nathan’s quirky…but I’m not sure yet if that is truly his personality or part of his plan. Either way, I think he’s playing the part well…and if they decide to keep him, maybe even redeem him…could be fun. I think he’s good-looking and as usual; guess I’m a softie for Aussies…

Not at all really. Most supercouples from the past were named that after a year or two….think back to the 80’s when the term was coined. Almost every couple on DAYS had supercouple status between 1984-1988. Another World had several. Santa Barbara had several and it wasn’t even on the air for 10 years. All it takes is writers who will go full tilt doing some super writing for couples and making the audience care. Alas…romance is all too rare on soaps these days. Most couples on GH today make me want to gag….Sonny and anyone…Carly and Franco…Julian and Alexis…etc.
This guy can never be part of a super couple because he just can’t act. The fact that he is referred to as “Sexy Pants” just amplifies the point that he is just there to be looked at. And it’s nothing personal and I really don’t want to be mean. From the interview I saw with him, RP seems like a very nice guy, but he is in over his head and as a viewer I expect to see quality acting on a show like GH.
For a guy that came to the show with very little acting experience, and has been given a lot of scenes right off the bat, I think Ryan Paevey has done a pretty good job overall. He’s not great by any means, but there’s definitely something there to work with.
I mean, obviously, we know the main reason he was brought to the show. He has abs you can grate cheese on, which I think they must be contractually obligated to show at least 3 times per week, lol.
When he first showed up, I wanted not to like him, but he’s grown on me. And I like him and Maxie together as a potential couple.
Kristin Storms deserves better. She could ignite chemistry with a Chia Pet and clearly makes RP rise to the occasion (no word play intended).
As far as Levi is concerned, I feel sorry for the actor because clearly he is a walking plot device. You’re supposed to detest him and the more you do so, the better Robocop looks and hence, you will be rooting for Maxie and Robocop.
@GH50….While I can understand your views on RP’s shortcomings in the acting department, I honestly have seen a subtle improvement in his abilities. It really seems to depend upon with whom he is involved in his scenes. He does a better job with some characters than others….yes, he was extremely green when he started, but I do believe he is slowly but surely adjusting to the demands of the show, and I say this as one of those rare females who is not completely blinded by his looks. Yes, I can admit he is a handsome guy, but far from being the most gorgeous to ever trod a soap opera canvas, in my opinion! Having said that, I would like to know why it is permissible to constantly pick apart RP’s obvious lack of acting experience when one of the worst ever performers on a soap has not only been totally propped in a lead capacity for the better part of two years, but is now being hailed for her upcoming return to GH…yes, I am referring to Sobby the Insipid Nurse. There has never been one iota of her demonstrating any kind of promise in upping her most rudimentary approach to acting, and yet we are all supposed to kneel down and kiss the ground because she is soon to be back to once again drag down the program with her less than skillful dramatics. Just had to ask…..
To have a supercouple the most important thing is two have two talented actors..Kristen is great but Ryan is nice to look at but he is like a pill..HARD to swallow..Sorry these two characters never will be a supercouple…Bring Johnny back and pair him with Maxie..That can be a super hot couple!!
Levi needs to go! Naxie/Mathan all the way! Nathan needs Dante’s help because he is too in love with Max(love that he calls her that) to gather the necessary evidence. The Immig guy was paid bt Levi, the call to Immig was probably only a few seconds, and they need to grab Levi’s phone to show he called the judge!!!

What in the name of Sam Hill did Morgan do to deserve either Gross-alie or Sappy? I know he is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but good gravy the poor guy can certainly do better than either one of those she-meeeees. They are like the flip sides of the same coin (Evil/Evil and Goody/Goody…) and neither is good enough for Morgan! Better to put him back with Kiki….at least they have things in common and some basic chemistry!!!!

It was pretty obvious Levi wasn’t on the up and up from Day 1. The character was clearly designed to annoy from the start in order to push Nathan and Maxie together. The problem for me is Maxie has been so dumbed down as a character and Nathan so undeveloped that I really can’t feel much spark from either of them as a couple. They’re OK…not in your face annoying like Levi but not particularly compelling either.
They need to cut their losses with Levi sooner rather than later. The original plan seems to have been that he was actually after Felicia’s Aztec jewels (which she returned and no longer has BTW, RC) but I hope they had the good sense to pull the plug on that plot point.
Just end it with Levi always having been out to scam a green card and ship him back to Australia. Enough of this annoying character already.
@KM-Your first paragraph sums up my overrall view of this pairing. They are little more than “OK” and they are far from “compelling”, especially when this headwritter obviously telegraphed his intensions from the moment RP’s Nathan arrived at KiSt’s Maxie’s door as she was leaving for her “Eat, Pray, Whatever Else She Was Doing Tour”/maternity leave.
Realistically, if RC really understood Maxie, she’d be running rings around both Nathan and Levi and would have already figured out Levi’s scam. As it is, she appears to be another stereotypical bubble head blonde when previously she’s been one of the sharpest knives in the drawer.
Maxie met Levi at a very vunerable. Point in her in her life, she was unsure of herself trying to be a better person and extremly insecure. Levi swooped in and said he had all the new age answers and made her feel better. Its an abusive relationship
I agree; there is nothing appealing or compelling with this “filler” story. It’s beyond boring.
Maxi may not have been the smartest character on GH, but she certainly was never this dumb. It was so obvious who told the judge Nathan lied. I don’t even enjoy watching her anymore and she used to be one of my favorite characters. At this point I think Nathan is too good for her.
What a completely wasted opportunity!! The show had the perfect chance to tell a classic love triangle that could have had fans divided right down the middle. The guy who plays Levi is charismatic and quirky and can be funny. He could have played a really nice entertaining character but instead he is obnoxious, rude, emotionally abusive and just a moron. They are trying so hard to push and prop the cop that they are working overtime to make us hate Levi. I don’t get the show at all these days. What kind of a cop would hand over his phone to two dimwits like Maxie and Levi? All he had to say was “I’m a cop and the numbers in my phone are confidential. Sorry you can’t look at my call log!”. End of story. And how are Maxie and Levi affording the services of Diane Miller?? Does other one of them have a job?
I agree with everything you said…what bugs me is that he is one of those in-your-face annoying characters…he couldve worked better as comic relief!!!
Johhny, your points are spot on. The fact is that these writers really only know how to write black and white, good vs evil and do so to force you in one direction. Same happened with Britt and Sabrina. When they try to add a little gray and blur the lines, like with Dr.O, it comes off as totally schizo and not believable.
The other problem is the constant dumbing down of characters to move along their thin/ dumb plots. Maxie is now a moron and your point about Nathan handing over the phone is well taken, but with these writers, it has to happen that way. Get the actors to the Rib, have them all stand there, have him hand over his phone and done. Wouldn’t it have been more interesting to make Maxie a little more resourceful and have her grab his phone while he’s sleeping or in the shower and discover the number for herself. But instead we get these contrived little scenes that make all the characters involved look silly. The writers have no idea how to plot out a series of events and fill them in intelligently.

If you’re shady and up to no good you’re going to try to be low key about itm. You’re not going to barge and stomp around yelling at a cop..telling him off…threatening to punch him…accusing him of things etc. It is such stupid moronic writing and hard to fathom. Memo to Ron….WE GET IT!!!!!!!!! LEVI IS BAD!!!!!!!! The real Maxie would have squashed this dude under her high heel shoe. Aaarrrgggghhhhh…lol….the writing on this show frustrates me to no end and drives me up the wall. Due respect to Michelle Stafford…but can we just cut losses now??? Nothing about her character works in any way. She doesn’t even know how to act what is being written for her. Every time she talks, her voice and her facial expressions are saying “What the #;$- am I doing here?” And why does Alice warrant such intense love and devotion and worry and tears…and AJ had a 30 second funeral and is never mentioned again?? Why is a murderer the Chief of Staff and how could she hire a serial killer to work with children?? I know a lot of you will say “its only a soap” but I still expect shows up to make sense!! Even if its only in an internal logic kind of way. Nearly two months after Patrick’s car accident…him and Sam go to the scene of the crime…and find a guard rail damaged with noticeable black paint on it. So…you don’t think maybe the officers and crash scene investigators would have thought to do that?? Ron is good at long term plotting….but his day to day writing and story choices are terrible!!!
Quite some time’s past since these posts but I have to mention AJ vs. Alice. I was thinking the same thing…or a tad different.
I can understand the love and concern for Alice; she’s been part of the Q’s forever. So it makes sense.
But what I TOTALLY agree with and am beyond annoyed with is how little care was given when AJ was dying. Who showed up to visit him? Where were the tears for him? Did the Q’s fly in, gather round…No.
Tracy showed a bit of regret, Ned said oh what a shame he was family after all…and then they had the funeral of five or however little showed up.
Even if it was personal…some feud or animosity between RC and SK…RC should have gotten over it and given AJ the love in-the-end the character and the fans deserved. (And I’m being gracious because I don’t think he should have been killed off to begin with!)
First of all…I’ll repeat what I’ve said on other posts. I don’t think the actor portraying Levi is bad; matter of fact I think he’s good because he’s soooooo beyond annoying. I think he could be quite the looker himself; love his hair, his accent and I think he’s got a great body. Matter of fact…if he was cast as a good guy…or in a beach flick…he would be quite cute.
As for Detective Sexy Pants…hahhahaha…he has to be one of THE most gorgeous men to ever grace the screen; daytime or otherwise. And I’ve said this before too but his acting has grown in leaps and bounds…I find him so believable, so authentic, so genuine.
I don’t know if they’ve dumbed Maxi down. I think deep down she knows she cares for Nathan…but she’s be so hurt in the past that I think she’s in denial. She did the same thing when she wouldn’t allow herself to keep her own baby…or hid the truth form Lulu and Dante. She avoids so she doesn’t have to deal…
Not sure if Nathan will save the day in the nick of time and they’ll be an instant couple…or if it’ll get drawn out where Maxi marries Levy and some story unravels from there. In the old days that would have been the way. Now with budget…maybe they’ll want to get rid of the Levy character so they’ll hasten the story along. It’s a wait and see.
Either way, I’m enjoying it. I do think Maxi and Hottie are adorable together…
I might have liked Levi had he been used as comic relief instead of an annoying obnoxious inyourface villain…this show needs no more villians at the moment!!!
Levi has always been sketchy, and I think it speaks to Zachery Garred’s acting abilities that he’s made us hate the character so much. But yeah, Levi has to go, pronto! I think a big reveal is coming about who he really is, and I’m waiting for him to be connected to Jerry Jacks – they’re both Australian and they’re both evil.

Ryan Paevy has really improved his acting skills. He seems more comfortable. Good for him! I imagine him being on this show for a long time. We need need a handsome hero.

First of all I have to say I have always liked Maxi, even when she was at her worst…leading Lucky down the drug trail, etc. but I loved her with Spinilli. Apparently I’m in the minority but I do like Maxi and Nathan and I think there is a lot of potential for them to mend each other. He’s been on a mission of vengeance for for his supposedly dead sister only to find his crazy sister is alive but she isn’t his sister she’s his cousin and his mother isn’t his mother but his aunt. Maxi has had many traumas in her life; i.e, heart transplant, her dad runs off to be a spy (I love Frisco but he does like the exciting life), her sister dies, the Lucky thing, Spinilli, her baby and now the struggle to be who she isn’t. They could grow and mend together. AND…Nathan is nice to look at and Maxi’s eyes nearly pop out of her head everytime he is in his towel…lol.
I really don’t care much for this storyline. I’m sorry if I am offending anyone that does. But, last week sometime, an entire episode was practically dedicated to who called Immigration on Levi. Really, who cares? I’ve never been a huge fan of Maxie, I can’t stand Levi. I do like Nathan; but, I think he would be better suited with someone else. Who, I’m not sure…

That’s an intriguing theory, Harold! Never thought about the German translation for Levi’s surname….I merely thought it was for comic relief, as it had such a dorky connotation!!!! However, I still think if “Dunkelman” is linked to anyone it will be Jerry Jacks. But at this point, I really don’t much care anymore. This character is turning out to be such a dud that I am beginning to wonder if one day he will just up and disappear and we will never know who he really was. Wouldn’t surprise me!

My biggest complaint with Maxie is that she has totally abandoned her considerable fashion cred just to appease that Dork from Down Under!!!! KS always looked so phenomenal in her extensive wardrobe—even while extremely pregnant—so to have her return in those mumsy frocks and drab eco-garb was just such a disappointment. She needs an intervention…a “Come to Manolos Moment” to regain her “Maximista Fashionista” mojo. After that, her normal personality and mental capabilities will return as well….as she realizes that her most fabulous accessory is none other than the TopCop, Nathan, by her side!!!!

If they are going to keep Levi for anything other than as a recipient of viewer ire, then they really need to get him involved in a story with more substance than this silly immigration problem.
Levi’s reveal to Maxie yesterday of why he cannot return to Australia was weak as water. Facing a prison sentence? Please. I wasn’t born yesterday and neither were the rest of the viewers. A green card marriage when Immigration already has him on the radar????? Please. If rumors are correct and Levi is attached to someone else in Port Charles, then for goodness sake, get on with the story. This business with Maxie just doesn’t cut it.
BTW, anybody else wondering when Maxie is going to get a job? Maybe they can work at Kelly’s.

Cannot see the slack-tivist Svengali “Dumbsterman” or his mind-numbed disciple Maxie toiling away at that purveyor of prodigious plates of pork products (aka “BLTs”) even though I think his so-called “veganism” is just as phony-baloney (no pun intended…) as everything else about his ludicrous lifestory seems to be.

Hi everyone today is Augest 11,,2014. I have been a devoted GH fan for 40 years and to me the story line with this Levi guy has GOT TO GO ! The actor is ok yet im not liking him and im sure thats what the writers wanr dislike. of his charector sh Levi exits the show and moves on to other venues. The guy that plays Nathen is a real hunk very charming with an edge. I believe he will be one of Gh`s heart throbs of all time IF he gets enough viewing time. Insofar as Maxie ive always liked her with Spinelli they were soul mates and I miss him on the show. I am also happy that Robin is back for another tease then she will get back to directing but she is a beloved charector. I enjoy the charector of Patrick he is another handsome man and a phenomenal actor, the best actor on GH. I would also like Nicholas and Brit to finally get together and marry. That adorable kid that plays little spencer is a REAL actor he`s gonna make it big one bright day as he grows up.. LUKE well we`ll..see him when he feels like it and ill always LOVE his charector.ok people I have blabbed enough. To those of you in faith God bless you and yours…
I for one love Nathan! It’s true the actor had some things to learn but I think he’s coming along I have the most problems with Maxie. I agree with most people. She is not being smart about anything lately and it irritates me because she’s usually pretty smart. I get she’s vulnerable but geeze. I think the actor that plays leving needs the most work. As we know now she will snap out of it.

2026 SDSA TV Award Nominations: All Five Daytime Dramas Score in Best Achievement in Set Decoration
The Set Decorators Society of America has revealed its nominations for 2025-26 SDSA Awards for Television, which recognizes the work of the set decoration and production designers in primetime, streaming and daytime series.
This year, all five soap operas: Beyond the Gates, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless all received nominations in the Best Achievement in Decor/Design of a Daytime Series category.
In its official SDSA rule book, to qualify for the category of a Daytime Series, which includes daytime dramas, daytime talk shows, daytime game shows, and daytime children’s programming, all episodes must air before 6:00pm and must have a credited Set Decorator. For daytime dramas, the content must contain multiple plotlines that are carried over from episode to episode.

WHICH EPISODES CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE COMPETITION?
The eligibility year for episodes runs June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026. Founded in 1993, the SDSA is an international nonprofit professional association dedicated to promoting excellence and preserving the legacy of the art of set decoration in motion pictures and television.
Several popular primetime and streaming titles that have wrapped their final seasons also received nods including Euphoria, Stranger Things, Hacks, Outlander, and The Boys. Popular titles such as Bridgerton.

The Thursday June 4 episode of General Hospital paved way for the end of the line for Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) butler/fixer, Pascal (Marc Forget).
In the pick of the June 3 cliffhanger, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was the hero and stopped the evil-doer from fleeing Port Charles for his part in aiding and abetting his boss with the cover-up of the murder of Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) among other crimes.
Today’s episode did indeed mark the final appearance of Marc Forget who joined the ABC soap opera when he debuted back in July of 2025. Viewers met met Pascal when Kelly Thiebaud returned to the soap opera as Britt Westbourne and she was being blackmailed to work on Faison’s final project while at the Five Poppies in Dalmatia.

A General Hospital rep confirmed to Soap Opera Digest, that the June 4 episode, “Will be the last viewers will see of Pascal for now, but notes that in the world of Port Charles, comebacks are always possible.” So, how did Pascal get written-off the canvas? Here’s what went down:
PASCAL GIVES LUCAS KEY INFORMATION BEFORE BEING DRAGGED AWAY
After Sonny intercepted Pascal on his desperate attempt to get out of town, Sonny informed him hat Sidwell would stop at nothing from trying to get retribution for whoever killed his son, Marco, and promptly turned around and said that he would help Pascal flee the country, only if he turned on Sidwell.
An absolutely terrified Pascal had evidence for Sonny that he could use against Sidwell. However, he feared he would get killed on sight if he tried to retrieve the incriminating photos of Sonny and Laura from the safe at Wyndemere. So instead, Pascal gave the combination to the safe to Lucas (Van Hansis), so he could get the blackmail photos himself. But, did Pascal just set up Lucas to be killed since he loathes him for being the man to win the heart of the late Marco?
In the end, Sonny had one of his henchmen drag Pascal away and whisked off to an airfield to fly away to parts unknown, and hopefully never to be heard from again. But what now? Is Lucas going to end up being pegged as Marco’s killer and taken down by Sidwell if he gets his hands on the incriminating photos for Sonny and Laura? Stay tuned.

In one of the more far-fetched soap opera moments in recent memory, while Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) are chatting at the Quartermaine boathouse in swimming trunks for him and a bikini for her, the two exes have a heart to heart on Wednesday’s June 3 episode of General Hospital.
The moment was set-up by Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jacinda (Paige Herschell) who want to find a way to push the exes together in order to get incriminating evidence of the two, so Michael can gain leverage over Willow for full custody of their children. once and for all. Jacinda notes how Chase definitely has a savior and white knight syndrome going on.
During Willow and Chase’s chat at the boathouse, the subject turns to how Chase was demoted at the PCPD in his efforts to help get Willow acquitted of attempted murder charges at her trial for the shooting of Drew. He has since gone from detective to patrolman. However, Willow comes up with an idea! Why doesn’t he come to work for her as her chief of staff. Willow feels he would be perfect, because he is only one of the only people she can trust.

WILLOW LAYS OUT THE BENEFITS OF CHASE ACCEPTING HER JOB OFFER
A surprised Chase, says he isn’t qualified, but Willow thinks otherwise. She urges him to consider the position she is offering, because it would give him a more regular schedule that would be befitting for him being a new father to baby Phoebe.
Chase’s want to know why it was so important to Willow that he take the job, she continues to explain how she trusts him, but Tracy (Jane Elliot) spots the two in a close moment and hides behind the boathouse. Willow exits, but asks Chase to promise he will think over her offer.
Next, Tracy threatens Chase that this is the last time he will cheat on her granddaughter, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Knowing he didn’t “cheat” on his wife, Chase looks pissed off.
