General Hospital’s Kristina Wagner Weighs-In on The Best and Worst Times in Felicia’s Life
When Kristina Wagner debuted on General Hospital back in 1984, her character Felicia Cummings was brought on to the canvas as an aztec princess who falls madly in love with Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner).
Since 1984, Kristina has played the role of Felicia on and off since today in 2023. However, back in 2021, Wagner was placed back on-contract much to the delight of GH viewers, who appreciate the veteran performers they grew up with, after being on recurring status for years.
Kristina looked back at her time as Felicia Scorpio and offered insights into her soap opera alter ego, in a new interview in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now.

When weighing-on on the best moments in Felicia’s life and the most challenging times, Wagner mentioned several storylines. For the best moments, Wagner expressed, “I loved all the phases of her life. But I think the best time would be today, because she’s more grounded and she can make the choice to pursue happiness.” Kristina added, “She’s very content in her marriage to Mac (John J. York) and being present for Maxie (Kristen Storms) and her grandchildren.”

As for the emotionally difficult moments in Felicia’s life, Wagner pointed to, “Maxie’s heart transplant would be one, and the second would be Georgie’s death. Being a mother is one of the most important aspects of her life, and so the hardest times were when her children were struggling, and the worst time in her life would be when Georgie died. I know from personal experience what that is like (Having lost son Harrison in 2022). That is very critical and would change you, and make you into a different character, actually.”
What have been your favorite Felicia moments through the years on GH? Share your picks via the comment section below.
I adore Kristina and Felicia. My favorite moments were any that she shared with the late great John Reilly as Sean Donely. One of my most HATED storylines in GH history, though was her amnesia story. Hated Phoebelicia!
Kristina is as beautiful today at 60 as she was the day she debuted on GH almost 40 years ago. I was so sorry for the unspeakable tragedy that she and Jack went through with the loss of their son. That’s an experience I can only imagine, and my heart goes out to anyone that has suffered through that.
I was happy when they put her back on contract a few years ago. Wish they would have a little more for Felicia to do, but they have a large cast, and I know it’s not easy to come up with regular screen time for everybody. The new job working at the hospital with Stella is definitely a step in the right direction. Love her scenes with Mac and Maxie with the grand kids.
I was thinking the same thing, Dan, as I clicked on the photo/article: she’s always been beautiful, but some people lose that as they get older, and she still looks gorgeous. (Ditto Genie Francis; not sure what they’re doing, but whatever it is, they’re doing it right.)
I’ve always liked Felicia and been glad when she’s on my screen, and I give KW full credit for that, because although sometimes they’ve given her really good material, much of the time, well, not so much–but whatever they give her, KW somehow rocks it.
Definitely time for Felicia to get a storyline of her own. Clever of the writers to have her be the one who eventually did in Heinrich and a key role in Ryan’s demise. Still think the original plan was for her to be Esme’s mom, which I’m glad they didn’t pursue.
Kristina is such a class act. She’s not only beautiful, smart & funny but a true talent. She was sorely missed from the show & so glad GH had the chance to make it right & put her back on contract. We need to see MORE of her talent on the screen. I know the 50th reunion with Jack Wagner was a “bust” for Frisco and Felicia fans, but would love to see Jack Wagner come back and make that storyline right for its fans. The romance between those two characters could never be duplicated. The romance between Mac and Felicia is just not the same. It lacks the passion & excitement.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
