Fans of General Hospital’s Teresa Castillo (Sabrina) were in for a surprise announcement this morning, when the actress took to her Instagram account with a beautiful picture of her husband and her daughter.  However, it was clear in the photo that Teresa is pregnant with child number two on the way!

Castillo shared her excitement that she is pregnant again stating: “Someone’s getting a little brother”  Teresa and her husband Shane who welcomed their daughter Victoria in May of 2014, will soon be proud parents of a new little bundle of joy to add to their growing family.

It is yet to be determined, or discovered, if Castillo’s pregnancy will be written into GH’s storylines. Could Sabrina become pregnant with Michael’s (Chad Duell) child?  Just how new GH incoming head writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante will address this in story, and what happens to the future of the character of Sabrina, should be answered this fall.

Send your congrats and well-wishes to Teresa! Then let us know, would you like to see Michael and Sabrina have a child together on GH?

hmmm
No way can the baby be Michaels, the time is waaaaay off..
It could be Carlos’s ..
or-
she was abducted by aliens and well ya know how they are!

You are kidding…right?…Sap is having a real baby not a soap one!!!

I know that..
I was replying to the Question-
Michael’s comment;
”It is yet to be determined, or discovered, if Castillo’s pregnancy will be written into GH’s storylines. Could Sabrina become pregnant with Michael’s (Chad Duell) child? ”Then let us know, would you like to see Michael and Sabrina have a child together on GH?”

And I replied 🙂 lol

(I still think it could be aliens, who else ahha!

side note: why was Sabrina so adamant the other episode, about not going in the pool with Michael? I thought she was going to reveal that she doesn’t know how to swim. Maybe, she didn’t want to get her hair wet, but I was eager for her to say why. Maybe Sabrina is pregnant, too? She probably slept with Carlos that final night before he left. I would love for Carlos to somehow return, or his “twin”!
Though, I’m so over with the returns from the dead. Vincent was brilliant as Carlos. So happy for Teresa and her growing family.
Also, not really feeling this new relationship between Sabrina and Tracy.

I haven been watching everday so i missed some of that…i agree about Tracy and Sabrina…they dont work well together as friends!!!

000oooohhhh!
I want Carlos back!!
He can come as cloned, a twin, anything just bring back Vincent !!
(( and make him mine 😉

My bad…computer keeps blacking out on me and i didnt see half the article…the problem fixed…now i read it all…lol…i hope if gh does a prego storyline it is an aliens child so the father can show up and take her to his planet Pluto(the network is owned by Disney…lol) and Sap will stay there forever never to return to PC…lol

She had not slept with Carlos. Unless she was impregnated by the invisible man, the baby will be Michael’s, su.
I did say she had a bump a while ago. I think. And, so does Emme Rylan. But, Emme is so slim, her tummy would be a bit more prominent whether she’s expecting or not.
I am so worried about Shay. She’s not going to like this one bit. I can’t wait to read what she has to say about Sabrina’s pregnancy. Shay, no worries, Girl…..the pregnancy may not be written into the story. C’mon, Shay, say something……waiting. Lol.

but but but..
Sabrina and just recently did the nasty..
She is big!
they weren’t doing sex stuff back then..
I still think off screen her and Carlos did it.. of course Sabrina would not admit that anyone..
hey!!
I bet she will tell Tracy who the baby daddy is..

It still would be more likely to aliens.. they abducted her and well things happen with them guys!

@CeeCee….Fear not, Girl! The vapors have passed……LOL. Did we not detect this telltale development over a month ago? As a matter of fact, I posted more than twice about it, only to be moderated…..so, for the record….we were RIGHT! Having said that, for the love of God, please do NOT write yet another ludicrous Sappy pregnancy of convenience simply to accommodate this abiding annoyance. Given we have a new regime taking over, can we not start fresh and wipe the slate clean? It is time for this unnecessary character to just go, and this will be the perfect opportunity to send her off….we already anticipate Val-Chops to pull the preggers card on Dante, so to have more than one ridiculous expectant mother on the canvas is really quite enough. Time to cut the cord with the Sapster, so to speak…no pun intended!!! P.S. Needless to say, my sarcasm doesn’t extend to the real-life situation…I always wish mothers-to be well, and this is no exception. Just keep it limited to off-screen please!!!!

@Shay.
Now, that’s the Shay I know. True to form, classy, well-written and to the point.
As you know, I am not so adverse to Sabrina. However, let’s put this in perspective. I am familiar with the fact that the Q name has been ‘tainted’ by less than their ‘American Royal Bloodline’…..so, the idea would not be so pungently odorous. Most fans are asking for the continuation of the Q name and ‘family-enlargement’, right? So, why not Sabrina. She’s a good girl. She loves Michael….she adores him, and looks out for his best interests. Better than this Kiki. Imagine her as the mistress of the Q mansion. Oy vey!!!! Let’s say it had been Julie Marie’s Lulu who were carrying a Q baby? Would that have been any different, as far as bloodline? I do think it’s a matter of gross antipathy or aversion toward one character. I fully understand that feeling. Valerie strikes me as that particularly clinging, man-grabbing barnacle which pierces straight through my instincts. I may be wrong. Perhaps I am surmising the character unfairly. But, when I see her waltzing in, anywhere, with that ‘ I own it’ attitude, swaying hips and witchy features, I become so overwhelmed with feelings of contempt, I want to scream. Did you notice, Shay, how ‘in your face’ she acted with Maxie at the Metro Court? She turns the table on whomever touches her tail, or nerve. Valerie should actually tuck that tail between her legs and run to The Southernmost regions of the globe and cool her canine-in-heat Jezebel feelings for Dante. No matter how she tells herself or tries to convince herself that IT was nothing but a mild ‘missy-pooh’ ( yeah, right!) and not to read anything else into it. I digress. But, Shay, I hope Lulu finds out and leaves Dante….by the same token, I do not want him with Valerie with him either. That will give Valerie more of a vantage point and as ‘the cat who got the cream’…..or ‘ate the canary/Dante’…LOL. I do not want to hear her PURRRR! I want her to go a little nuts. I want Harry’s prophesy to become a reality. Wouldn’t that be fun? LOL.
Oh, by the way….I have never derived more satisfaction from Maxie as when she put MadMaddie with the scary eyes, in her place. OPA!!!!
OK, I’ll shut up, now…later, babes.

She had to do something with that down time before she came back to the screens in a much better story…and she’s better off with michael..

Lol, davlestev 1. By ‘down time’, do you mean Teresa had so much time on her hands, all she did was have sex with her husband?

Congrats on the new baby love the pic of ur family hope u stay on GH

Very nice picture!
Inamaria

Congrats! I wasn’t a Sabrina fan in the beginning but she’s definitely growing on me, I just wish they would pair her with someone she has chemistry with. I picture her with a Julian type, someone older, sexier and more mature. If they can pair Ava with Morgan, why not pair Sabrina with Julian?? Holla!

No…Mappy need NO children together no matter how much i want the Q’s expanded!!!…but i will give congratulations to the actress for her real life pregnancy!!!

Exactly right,, jimh! Please no “sapling” for the “Mapsters!”

@shay wow I am so DISAPPOINTED in you, instead of being happy for Teresa and congratulating her u still keep bashing her character u have a sad life

Or….in other words, no “nappies” for the “Mappies!”

I guessed this last week when she covered herself with a pillow on the q’s patio and she got up awkwardly and her she covered up during her swim scene with Michael. Best wishes.

me too………………..

Congrats to the actress– but a Definite No on writing the pregnancy into the show. Babies only have two functions lately on soaps, to inspire who’s the daddy drama, or to have the character miscarry or lose the baby — so imo why created a soap child when it is just a plot point– and this soap in particular has done this so many times in three years I’ve been watching, I rather they just go the pillow and over large purse route on this one.

Perhaps only face shots..
Or standing behind something to hide it or sitting down..
Seems they could hide it, but we all know she is pregnant so it wouldn’t do any good lol ..

Sabrina already lost a baby during Teresa’s last pregnancy (which was a bit cruel of the writers to have her play a mother who lost her newborn during that time IMO). So I think it’s too soon to write in another pregnancy with the character.

I will be praying to the writing God’s up above….that when she takes
her maternity leave, they make it permanent. RC & Co. repeatedly
tried to make her fit in… she doesn’t, time to cut the umbilical cord.

A very beautiful family pic!

I am happy for her (Theresa). Now, if they could find someone to replace her on the show. I do not care for her (Sabrina) to be with Michael. She does not fit the part. They need to bring someone new into his life. The new Kiki is not his fit and someone realized that so someone must have been sleeping to pair him with her (Sabrina). Bring the 1st girl back that he first fell in love with. Have her return from some Island or her twin. N E A T.

I would love to see Michael and Sabrina have a baby together. They are such a cute couple and she is so good for Michael. I hope that Michael and Sabrina have a baby together, it would be so nice for Michael to care for his own child. He took such good care of his baby sister before he gave her back to Sonny.

I would love for Sabrina and Michael to have a baby I like them together. I think they make a cute couple together, I would like for them to have a baby and it get kidnapped, or Sabrina and the baby both get kidnapped they have to have some kind of drama, Please don’t let Michael cheat on Sabrina with Kiki I don’t like Michael with Kiki (congrats to Teresa and husband on their pregnancy)

TV time vrs real time are diff. shows are taped in advance which would make sence why she is bigger on her instagram then on the show right now….. just sayin..

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy. I sure hope they keep you and Michael together and write you and Michael having a baby. You two are great together. If you listen to Lulu and Maxie then they should have you and Patrick together again.

I want them to keep Michael and Sabrina together I think they make a cute couple and let them have a baby, but it being a soap there’s have to be drama so have Sabrina kidnapped when she is on maternity leave put please keep Michael and Sabrina together.

Congrats on another miracle!! God bless you and your family Theresa. Love you on the show and I would love for you and Michael to have a baby together on general hospital. You two look great together. What a perfect family and on screen love.

Congrats to u and your husband
GH writer why u keep writing the same story lines. Once again Sabrina won’t now who the baby father is in tired of this story line,

Congratulations Teresa on your new upcoming bundle of joy. You have a very beautiful family. I hope that they will not make your baby sired by Carlos. Both you and Michael need some happiness in your lives.

Please have Michael be the Father of Sabrina’s baby. It would cheapen and belittle her character to have Carlos be the Father.

I am wondering does this mean she will be leaving general hospital permenetly??): ):

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

on

By

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
