GH Looking to Bring Kristina Davis Back Home for Summer! But will it be Lexi Ainsworth?

It’s time for soaps to get ready to beef us those summer storylines, which means, to the dismay of many viewers, younger characters!   Still there are plenty of great young performers on daytime, that do help attract a younger audience when school is out.

Today, ABC Soaps In Depth  revealed that an insider is saying that there is a strong possibility that Port Charles’ Kristina Davis may be heading home from Yale for the summer break.   But while that may be good news for Kristina fans, it may or may not be good news for the talented Emmy nominated, Lexi Ainsworth, who last played this role, and who was sent packing by the previous GH regime!  (Remember, Lexi is also a pre-nominee for this years Emmy race, too) But with Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati in charge now over at GH, will they want to “mature” the character and bring on a new actress?  Or, bring back the popular Ainsworth?

SID conclusion was:  Kristina’s return to GH is likely.  However, Ainsworth’s return, is up in the air.

So soapers, would you like to see Lexi back on GH? And if not, who would you like to see play Kristina?  Let us know!

Lexi was the one who had chemistry with Ethan. Now that Ethan is gone they may as well bring Lexi back. No reason to age her.

BUT, I think it would be a great idea to recast Kristina and EThan too if he wont come back and have them one the run together with Robert on their trail. He could of visit her at Yale, and instead of going home to PC to leave with Ethan for a summer on the run! 🙂

There was ZERO reason to recast Kristina — even if Ethan were still on GH!!!

Bring back Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina and give her the character development that the former regime refused to do.

If NP ever decides to come back, maybe he’ll finally realize that Ethan was only likeable to many fans when he was hanging around Kristina. If he doesn’t want to come back, maybe they could recast Ethan eventually.

There’s really no need for NP/Ethan or recast Ethan to be in PC in order for Lexi’s Kristina (the only Kristina I want to see) to return home.

We know who her parents are and that she is not only a Corinthos but also a Cassadine. There are a ton of potential storylines for Kristina!

Lexi’s Kristina is an organic GH character and should be back in PC!

Emily,I agree with you.she never should have been let go.

Oh, Joe…sounds like shadings of the old Luke and Laura on the run! Fun!

I would like to see Lexi back, I enjoyed her as Kristina. I also wanted to see the storyline between she and Ethan develop, but now that will not happen with Ethan in hiding. I would be curious and happy to see the storyline they would bring Kristina back for.

I will always believe in my heart of hearts that Ethan and Kristina will eventually find their way to each other even if it’s never shown on TV.

There are still a number of Ethina fanfiction stories being created and updated.

Not too bad for a “non-couple”!!!

I’m with you on that Emily!

If they are smart they will bring Lexi back. She has tons of potential if given great material to play. But I fear they will bring on some other former OLTL actress.

If they are going to bring the character of Kristina back, why shouldn’t Lexi play her? Fans liked her and she was good enough to be nominated in her category. Lexi is 19 years old, the same age as a college freshman. What sense would it make to age her character? Who goes away for college for a year at 18 and comes back in their 20s?

Lexi, she has great chemistry with her mom and sister, too bad they dumped her boyfriend, now tjere was chemistry.

If they can get the actress to come back they should. She’s very talented, has great chemistry with other cast members, will mix in nicely with the summer young storyline they are surely planning, and from what I’ve heard the fans like her.

Bring back Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina Davis! Cartini can correct JFP’s egregious error of firing Lexi in such a discriminatory manner.

I only want Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina. If Kristina is recast, I will tune out again. I quit watching after Lexi was fired but came back w the new regime to give them a fair chance. Well this is it boys! Either right the wrong that was done to Lexi or lose me again as a viewer! It’s really that simple!

They need to bring Lexi back as Kristina. I’m a huge ethina fan but after Nathan swooned and praised that debacle that was the trash in white he can stay where he’s at. First priority is to get Lexi back. If Nathan wants to come back and SUPPORT the ethina storyline than I’ll gladly accept him, if not then they can recast his butt. My loyalty is to Lexi. I will not watch that show unless she is on it, and a bunch of birdies told me I’m not missing a thing.

I too am an Ethina fan but I’m a Kristina fan first and foremost. If NP doesn’t realize the potential of Ethina then I would gladly accept a recast! Or better yet, bring in another tall strapping young man who reminds Kristina of Ethan. SAH-WOON!!!

Lexi Ainsworth absolutely has to be back as Kristina. She is so talented & would be an asset to the soap if she was used properly. To this day, I still say she was unjustly fired.

She was unjustly fired. I hope Cartini realizes that bringing back Lexi would also bring back a number of fans who stopped watching when she was fired.

She didn’t have alot of fans, the majority of viewers hated her Kristina, she’s not a great actress, and she was a recast herself. She didn’t even have the looks to play Sonny’s daughter. She was fired so they would be able to retool the character later on because her version wasn’t working.

Lexi has alot of fans! Stay tuned because she might be back!

I want to see her with the very handsome and devious Jack Manning

WOW! That would be awesome!!!

That is a very good idea. They would make quite an attractive couple. Andrew Trischitta has improved since first appearing on OLTL. It would be interesting to see their chemistry. Their potential pairing could boost summer ratings.

not to mention how upset Sonny and Alexis would be over it.

They could SORAS Jack Manning some, too.

I have to respectfully disagree. Andrew is almost 3 years younger than Lexi in real life. She is 19.5 and he just turned 17. Kristina is the same age as Lexi but I believe Jack is younger than Andrew (15 or 16?). I’d much rather see Kristina with a slightly older gentleman.

Sorry!

Well, wasn’t a fan of Lexi, don’t know what the hype is all over. Could care less one way or another. I DO BELIEVE that she would be a good pairing for Jack, even though he may be younger than Kristina. Its not a BIG viserable difference. Plus Andrew/ Jack has screen presense and is dashing. Kristina with her being short, and with such keen features, makes her look younger, so in fact, they would look around the same age, and thus, it would be a PERFECT pairing, a ratings buster for the Summer months. I think it’s an EXCELLENTE idea, krktoday April 9th, at 7:58pm

I just want Lexi back! Put her with a painting or a pumpkin — oh wait, they did those pairings with another character.

Bring back Lexi Ainsworth!

Lexi Ainsworth is great. She can act and she had chemistry w/every1. Sonny, her mom, sisters, etc… She had chem w/Ethan too, but the writers didn’t pursue that, not sure why? Not that ship has sailed. If I were casting I’d choose a good actress over aging the actress again (if they want a older look). THe fans like and know her as well as the characters she’s tied to on the show. Sounds like a no brainer if they want to bring “Krissy” back.

okay if Jack is to old for Kristina bring him on for Molly. He is a very good looking kid and would be good for adding younger viewer’s during the summer.

Yes, Jack is a bit young for Kristina but he’d be PERFECT for Molly!

I still want Lexi Ainsworth back as Kristina Davis! NO recast needed!!!

They should bring Lexi back.
Ethan is gone ( too bad they chickened out on that one).

Yep, the former regime really did chicken out of putting Ethan with Kristina! They were adorable!!

Bring back Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina Davis!!!

And what storyline would they have for Kristina? It would have to be something super (or at least decent) for Lexi to return. Otherwise, just bring in a recast.

I don’t want a recast at all. If they don’t have a decent storyline for Kristina then don’t bring her home from Yale.

That was easy!

True!

Would love to see Lexi back as Kristina! They should never have let her go!

They should bring back Lexi, Ethan or not. GH handled things with her so badly and with no class. She deserves better.

Please bring back Lexi!! She was sooo much fun to watch!! What a great actress!!! The idiots who sent her away from the show are stupid!!! I pride myself on seeing talent, and she had it all!! I would say Hell yes! Bring her back!! Lexi only, not a replacement!!

I would love to see Lexi back as Kristina! Please, don’t recast her, especially with another OLTL actor! She’s a wonderful actress and has great chemistry with Haley, Nancy, and Mo.

If Lexi does return as Kristina she will eventually need a new love interest. My choice would be a slightly aged Jack Manning.

I don’t know about Lexi. It may not have been her fault, but the character came across as a whiny brat. I think if Lexi can’t play the part without whining, then maybe they should recast the part.

That was how the character was written. I’ve seen Lexi in other roles and she never came off as whiny or bratty.

The character Kristina should be matured but not at the cost of losing Lexi. Lexi Ainsworth is capable to portraying a young woman because she is one!!!

Good night and good luck!

I’d love for another recast of Kristina. Lexi is a cute girl, but she looked 14 trying to act 18/19. I wasn’t found of her acting, and feel like there are stronger actresses out there to portray the role like she should be portrayed.

I’d love to see someone like Natalie Hall (ex-Colby, AMC) come in as Kristina or Valentina de Angelis (ex-Faith, ATWT) as Kristina.

I disagree 150%.

Bring back Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina Davis!

I disagree to, I want lexi to come back .

I’m sorry but I didn’t find that Lexi could act. I would not support her coming back. Never got the hype.

Your loss then.

Have a blessed day!

Thanks… I guess? Not really my loss. I don’t see anything special with her.

I disagree too. I’d take a QUANTAM LEAP if Lexi came back as Kristina.

Why so negative, Scott? Do you always attack actresses you don’t like? Ever hear about KARMA?

I’m not attacking her Bakula. Lexi seems like a sweet girl. But she was not right for the role of Kristina Corinthos Davis. The role needs to be bold and sassy and she portrayed her as sweet, annoying and whiny.

She wasn’t strong in her portrayal. And my karma is AMAZING. It’s beautiful in fact. No need to worry here.

Bring Lexi back. I loved her as Kristina.

Eww don’t bring that girl back, she was horrible with her mean look and lopsided mouth, her only chemistry was with the front door.

Please post your picture so we can see how perfect your face is!!!

Bring back Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina Davis!

Lexi could not act. Her voice was like nails on a chalk board, only knew how to play bratty and crying and nothing else. Plus she looked 12 years old and was not buyable in an adult romance. They need to hire someone else as her smugness WAS NOT APPEALING!

You do understand that her voice, bratty attitude and crying was how the writers wanted Lexi to play the part right? Just checking. Lexi is a great actress and if they decided to mature the character a lot (like lose the attitude and dress her like an average college student) then I say bring her back as her character has a lot more to tell and offer to P.C.

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her voice was not instructed. That was Lexi’s regular speaking voice. Those smug looks were not instructed either. She couldn’t act and failed at trying to be sexy.

I disagree to infinity.

Will you tune out if Lexi returns? Probably not!

Will Lexi’s fans tune back in if she returns? H-E-L-L YEAH!!!

No brainer there! Bring Lexi Ainsworth back as Kristina!

Bring LA back. She was a good Kristina.

I like lexi to ,but she doesnt want to come back ,she doesnt want a contract right now with general hospital,So she is gone ,will be interesting to see how the new Kristina does,I hear she is going to be hell on wheels and she is pissed that Sonny got her in that college .Uh oh ethans gone that can tick her off even more.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
