Sonny and Jason aren’t on the same page when it comes to Dante and what he may or may not decide to do with Michael.  Dante lets Lucky know everything that’s going on and brings him in on the search for a missing Michael.  Dante, however, remains extremely conflicted as he struggles with the dilemma of allowing Sonny to get convicted for a crime he didn’t commit or revealing that Michael killed Claudia.  Maxie admits to Jason that Michael has been hiding out at her and Lulu’s place.  Maya discovers Michael at the Quartermaine boathouse.  With their love for one another clearly evident, Jax and Carly put aside their differences to spend time as a family together with Morgan but the mood is soon broken by a call from Sonny.  Skye fuels Tracy’s jealousy to keep her in the dark about what she’s up to with Luke.  Elizabeth remains in denial about Shirley’s inevitable demise Jason implores Lulu to let him know if she finds out where Michael’s hiding.  Lulu is left emotionally shredded after Carly rips into her for not calling her the minute she saw Michael.  Maya decides not to give Michael up to the Quartermaines or the authorities and lets him hide out at the boathouse.  Michael contacts Carly, telling her he’s going to turn himself in if Sonny is found guilty.  Lisa remains the lone holdout on amongst the jurors with her “not guilty” vote.  Alexis has a heartfelt talk with Kristina.  Kristina goes to see Sonny, who hopes his failings didn’t push her towards Kiefer in the first place.  Nikolas turns to Patrick for parenting advice while Spencer and Emma play in the park together.  Patrick shares his insight about Elizabeth with Nikolas.

Knowing full well she’s bending the law, Claire tips Johnny off to the fact that Lisa is the lone “not guilty” holdout on the jury.  Johnny later approaches Lisa in her room at the Metro Court.  Carly resorts to threats while imploring Olivia to get Dante to tell her where Michael is.  Claire warns Dante there could be serious repercussions should Sonny be exonerated.  Ethan doesn’t blow the whistle on Maya when he sees her helping Michael.  Patrick and Robin argue over their vastly different opinions of what they should do after catching a glimpse of Michael in the park.  Jason cautions Sonny that his faith in Dante is misplaced.  Despite Kristina’s pleas, Alexis tells Mac that Michael is at the lake house but he takes off.  Kristina and Molly are later reunited with Michael and Morgan at the Quartermaine’s boat house.  Michael remains hopeful that Dante will keep his secret.  Lisa gives an impassioned speech to the other jurors before they take a final vote.  Dante makes a shocking announcement in the courtroom. Dante disrupts the courtroom and does his best to defend Michael’s actions while recounting his story on the witness stand.  Carly tries to do damage control when the judge orders her back on the stand.  Sonny faces off with Dante.  Lucky’s sympathetic to Michael’s plight when he finds him at the boathouse.  Jason and Lucky end up in a standoff over Michael.  Claire confronts Jax for having her go after Sonny when he knew all along he didn’t kill Claudia

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ava Learns of Ryan’s Machinations While ‘Sprina’ Share a Kiss

Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital featured fabulous performances from Maura West (Ava), Jon Lindstrom (Ryan/Kevin) and Alley Mills (Heather), a heart-tugging moment from Donell Turner (Curtis), and the pick-up of the Sprina kiss as Trina and Spencer FINALLY share a lip-lock and admit their feelings for one another.

With this clearly being a February Sweeps episode, the long-running daytime drama which is about to turn 60 this April, brought to light to the key residents of Port Charles, that Heather is the ‘hook’ killer, and the mother of Esme (Avery Pohl), while Ryan is Esme’s father. All of this was set against the backdrop at Wyndemere.

In story, Heather tells Ava that Ryan is the one who is responsible for destroying her life. Heather reveals that Ryan insinuated himself into her marriage to Nikolas.  Realizing what Heather is saying, Ava takes up Heather’s offer and takes the gun from her and goes to find Ryan. Meanwhile, Ryan has found Esme in the woods and she reveals her water broke and is about to have her baby.

Ava comes upon the two of them, and tells Ryan to get away from Esme or she’ll blow his head off.  Next, Ava is stunned to learn the relationship between Esme and Ryan.  It all dawns on Ava, that Ryan used Esme to destroy her relationship with Nikolas.

Esme makes a run for it, leaving Ava in a face-off with Ryan. He becomes upset. Ava ask him how it feels to lose someone he truly loves, referring to his murder of her daughter, Kiki.  Next, an overcome and emotional, Ava shoots Ryan in the back of the arm. Ryan figures out she must have killed Nikolas since he is nowhere to be found, and boasts that nothing is in their way to finally be together.  However, Ava pulls the trigger again.

Meanwhile, back at Wyndemere, Heather is placed under arrest.  Austin (Roger Howarth), who was attached by the ‘hook,’ is taken by paramedics and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) goes with him at Mac’s (John J. York) request to keep her safe and away from Ryan.

Kevin and Laura (Genie Francis) have gone to Wyndemere after learning along with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), that Heather was the ‘hook’ and the relationship between Esme and Ryan, and then eventually Heather.

At the Savoy, Curtis, who is getting drunk, is visited by Marshall (Robert Gossett).  He informs his father of what happened with Portia (Brooke Kerr), and how she lied all these years that he could be Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) father. Curtis says it’s unforgivable, but Marshall tells him to not throw Portia away so fast.  In tears, Curtis hugs his father for being there for him.

Trina and Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) finally give in to their feelings and passion and make out. However, Spencer puts a stop to the proceedings. He tells Trina he doesn’t want her to lose her virginity in an art gallery and wants everything to be perfect for her.  Spencer shares that he doesn’t want to be the guy who took advantage of her while she is reeling from her conversation with Portia.  Trina says she doesn’t know where to go for the night, but Spencer says he has an idea. They head to the pier so Spencer can take Trina to Ava.  When they get there, they learn from Alexis that Esme is Ryan and Heather’s daughter.

GH’s Parry Shen Delivers the ‘Power Performance of the Week’

How many of us have lost, or had to say goodbye to our best friend? Somehow fate or illness intervenes and cuts short someone you share so many memories with.

On last Thursday’s episode of General Hospital, Dr. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) family and friends gathered for her memorial at the GH chapel.  However, viewers knew of the special connection between Britt and her bestie, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

Photo: ABC

Devastated at losing Britt, upset that she never told him she about her diagnosis with Huntington’s Disease, and mourning her death, Brad comes to her former office, where Britt was the Co-Chief of Staff at the hospital. After exchanging heartfelt moments with Britt’s mother, the grieving Liesl (Kathleen Gati), and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), Brad (with a paper bag in hand) spends some time alone in Britt’s former office, which has now been cleaned out.

Next, Brad takes out a carton of ice cream (for those who know the back-story, Britt and Brad would sit together each with ice cream and watch the red carpet at the Nurses’ Ball on TV and hoot and howl at the residents of Port Charles), and thus begins a very emotional and five-hankie moment, where Brad recalls all the key moments in their friendship.

Parry Shen was so touching in this scene, that if you have been a fans of Britt and Brad’s friendship, we are sure you shed some tears.

Later, during the memorial, Brad is pained listening to the others eulogize Britt, and when it is his turn to speak, he does his best to get through it and pay homage to his best friend.

We will miss the Brad and Britt friendship as will many GH viewers for it was one-of-a-kind on the soaps – two originally, not so nice people, doing bad things and finding common ground with each other, and eventually turning their lives around and being there to support each other.

For all of these scenes mentioned above, Michael Fairman TV names Parry Shen’s work, the Power Performance of the Week.  You can check out a clip featuring Shen below.

Now, let us know, what did you think of Parry’s Performance during Britt’s memorial episode? Comment below.

GH’s Eden McCoy Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

Not often does a week’s worth of soaps offer up so many outstanding performances. However, the beginning of 2023 brought just that in dramatic scenes featuring General Hospital’s Kathleen Gati (Liesl), Kelly Thiebaud (ex-Britt), Willian Lipton (Cameron), Parry Shen (Brad) and Days of our Lives Lauren Koslow (Kate).

When all was said and done there was one performance, that for us, rang most true. For anyone who has ever gone through a break-up and had to let someone you care about down, you could feel and understand the raw emotion displayed by General Hospital’s Eden McCoy (Josslyn).

Photo: ABC

Not only did McCoy deliver during the breakup scenes as Joss broke Cameron’s heart into pieces, but later, Joss is shocked and guilt-ridden to find out that Britt died from ‘The Hook’s’ attack after saving her life, and then having to admit the whole thing to her mother, Carly (Laura Wright). Never mind the one other event of that fateful night.  Joss had sex with Dex (Evan Hofer) before she headed over to Kelly’s to talk to Cameron, realizing she should have cleared-up her relationship, first.

McCoy really shined when Josslyn arrived at Kelly’s to tell Cameron things have changed between them. She tearfully apologized for not coming to him sooner.  She promises she will always love him, but she is not in love with him anymore, and she lets him know there is no going back. They can’t fix things.  As Josslyn pours her heart out knowing what this was doing to Cameron, it was a five-hankie moment, indeed.

Photo: ABC

In addition, when Josslyn spills most all to her mother (she left out the part of having sex with Dex), you could genuinely feel the bond between the two, which as we have stated many times through the years, speaks to the perfect casting of McCoy as Carly’s daughter and her on-screen chemistry with Laura Wright.

For all of these well-played and outstanding moments, Michael Fairman TV names Eden McCoy our pick for The Power Performance of the Week.

Now let us know, what did you think of Eden’s work in the break-up scenes between Joss and Cam and its aftermath? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
