GENERAL HOSPITAL: ‘Sprina’ in New York Part One

Thursday’s episode of General Hospital kicked-off with Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer’s (Nicholas Chavez) adventures in New York City, where finally the fan favorite couple are getting some much needed, and waaaayyyyy overdue, alone time.
In story, Sprina arrive to their hotel room which has, thank God, one bed! Spencer heads out to get some theater tickets, leaving Trina enough time to video call her bff, Josslyn (Eden McCoy), and fill her in on how her first time alone with Spencer is going.
Trina, now in her nightgown, awaits Spencer’s return. When he does, Spencer tells Trina that everything is running on schedule. He won’t divulge what he has planned, but he has a surprise for her. When Spencer asks what Trina wants to see on their trip, she lists all the museums she wants to go to.

Overcome, Spencer tells Trina just how beautiful she is, and gifts her with a necklace so she remembers this weekend between them forever. After they kiss again, it’s time for them to head out to dinner. That’s the end of part one of Sprina’s trip to the Big Apple.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Cody Gets Himself Committed to Ferncliff to Save Sasha

Wednesday’s recap of General Hospital saw Cody (Josh Kelly) willing to do anything to help Sasha (Sofia Mattson) including; making himself look unstable or in need of a mental health facility for treatment.
Sam (Kelly Monaco) is in on Cody’s plan, and although she has reservations, she goes through with it. He assures Sam, it’s the only way he can get in to see Sasha.
The two meet with a psychiatrist named Dr. Brooks. Sam gives examples of Cody climbing out on the ledge of his seventh-floor apartment, and walking in traffic. Cody complains he doesn’t want to be here, and the doctor asks, “In his office or here in general?” Cody says, “On this planet, what is the point.” Alone with the doctor, Cody says he is having more suicidal impulses than thoughts, and that climbing out on the ledge of an apartment building from the seventh-floor, or walking in traffic, is an adrenaline rush.

Meanwhile, out in the hallway of GH, Sam intentionally spills coffee all over Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder) as he happens by. She apologizes as he drops his phone, and Sam picks it up, and sees Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) is calling him. Sam tells ‘Monty’ that she is waiting for a friend and that she wishes she had some cards to play a game with to pass the time. He asks, what her game of choice is. Like clockwork, Sam says “Poker.” Sam goes on to say, she loves the feel of the cards in her hands which he concurs, he does too! Dr. Montague happens to know where there is a game tonight and gives her his card if she wants the info.
Later, after convincing Dr. Brooks he needs to be admitted to Ferncliff, (before he is taken away by an orderly) Sam tells Cody that his plan to save Sasha better work, or she will kill him.
However, Dr. Montague arrives to see Sasha and asks Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) how she is doing. Janice says Sasha is showing signs of paranoia and claims that he’s the one who has been drugging her all along! Dr. Montague sharply says that Sasha is deteriorating, and it’s time for “drastic measures.” An angry ‘Monty” goes into see Sasha alone. Sasha freak outs and requests that he leave. Dr. Montague refuses to do such a thing, and says he, “stays by his patients to the very end.”
So, what do you think of Cody playing mentally ill, so he can try to get Sasha out of Ferncliff? Do you want the drugging of Sasha to stop already? Have you seen enough? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: The Connection Between Austin and Cyrus Revealed; Sasha’s Condition Worsens as Gladys is Blackmailed

On Wednesday’s recap of General Hospital, a few significant plotline developments were moved forward. The episode picked up where Austin (Roger Howarth) comes to Pentonville to “examine” Cyrus (Jeff Kober).
However, Austin is really there to deliver the flashdrive to Cyrus and he does in a prescription bottle. At that point, Austin says he’s done everything Cyrus has asked and has finished cleaning up everyone’s messes. He is done and wants out, but does Cyrus have other plans for him?
Next, viewers learn the story twist. Austin talks about Cyrus’ relationship with him, and how it goes back way back to when he was a kid. He thanks Cyrus for making his mother happy, and thanks him for paying for his education, and helping him have the life he has today.

Then, Austin tells Cyrus, that along with Mason, they roped him into this criminal underworld where he doesn’t belong. He says they’ve made him do things he thought he wasn’t capable of doing in his life, including, lying to (the woman he is clearly falling in love) Ava (Maura West) about Nikolas being dead … when he was the one who saved Nikolas’ life.
At Ferncliff, Sasha (Sofia Mattson) is completely going through withdrawals after Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) or “Monty” the scumbag doctor, keeps drugging her. Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) stops by and is shocked by her condition. Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) explains the situation and says she must have gotten drugs from a staffer, because you know how addicts are? This is so frustrating to watch!

When “Monty” shows up in Sasha’s room, Gladys begs him to stop torturing Sasha. He says he will if she gives him $50,000. When Gladys explains her plight and that she owes Selina (Lydia Look), he comes back with that Sasha isn’t being discharged until he gets paid. Later, Gladys talks with Selina at the Metro Court pool and she learns Selina shutting down the game, and that she needs her to clear up the books and Gladys needs to pay her back in full. This leaves Gladys more desperate and Sasha continuing to be drugged out of her mind.
So, what do you think of the revelations of the connection between Cyrus and Austin, and Austin’s part in the Nikolas back-story? Are you over watching how Sasha is being drugged? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
