Instead of short-term vindication, Carly opts for her information bomb to come out publicly – at the wedding. Jason tries to call off the wedding since the Balkan is not dead, but Brenda and Sonny push plans forward. Brenda and Dante continue to discuss the civil case with Theo. The Balkan discovers how his son Aleksander died – and exactly who is responsible. He squeezes his leverage to exert further force on our traitor. Abby is intercepted by Brandon, who solicits her and taunts her for the recent prostitution bust – just as Carly walks by overhearing. Carly again challenges Abby to do the right thing and stay away from Michael. Abby tells Michael she is in fact a hooker (a lie) in hopes he will stay away for his own good, and Carly confronts Sam for introducing Michael to a stripper. Sam discusses the fertility procedure with Dr. Kelli Lee. Johnny warns Lisa that Patrick is onto her regarding the syringe. Lucky is blindsided by Siobhan’s break up wish and demands an explanation. Theo inadvertently stuns Lulu, informing her of Brenda and Dante’s murder cover-up in 2007.  Furious at his lies, Lulu breaks up with Dante. Jason comes to Sam’s defense as Carly rips into the genesis of Michael and Abby. Michael lashes out at Carly.  Jason counsels him, as Michael struggles to talk about his past. Jason asks Abby to be honest with Michael. Molly has a nightmare than an emotional hissy fit, shocking Kristina with behavior so unlike her. Steve checks on Olivia’s recovery, with a hint of romance. Nik and Brook Lynn continue to grow closer.

Sonny awakens again from the nightmare premonition of the wedding day, leveling a gun at startled Brenda. Lulu feels cursed with the Spencer prophecy: doomed to lose love. Michael discovers Dante a mess at home. Dante tries to convince Lulu of his love, but she no longer trusts him. Brenda and Robin gossip together about Terrell and the upcoming wedding plans. The Balkan makes plans to kidnap Brenda on her wedding day. Sonny agrees to bring on Claire to help Theo defend the civil suit. Unaware of the recent development, Molly questions Sam on her reason to not have kids. Terrell makes inroads with Robin when he volunteers to help the understaffed AIDS wing. Thinking she is suffering from bi-polar disorder, Molly investigates the illness online and then resolves to see Uncle Sonny. Nik and Brook Lynn share their first kiss. But later, Liz throws down against Brook Lynn, using Aiden as bait. Brenda blames herself for Dante and Lulu’s break up, and she resolves to make things right. Lulu tries to distract herself with work, but is shocked when Brenda arrives to convince her to take Dante back. Diane brings Carly legal proof that Brenda and Dante had a baby together, just as Dante catches them in conversation. Obviously tweaked by Terrell’s attention on Robin, Patrick tries to hide his jealousy as Lisa revels in. Patrick finds Lisa and Terrell enjoying drinks together. Sonny and Molly discuss bi-polar disorder.  Leaving the office, Molly has a PTSD attack as she is overwhelmed by the sounds of a local road car accident. Lucky confronts Siobhan, demanding to discuss the abrupt ending of their relationship.  He remains concerned for her safety.

GH’s Parry Shen Delivers the ‘Power Performance of the Week’

How many of us have lost, or had to say goodbye to our best friend? Somehow fate or illness intervenes and cuts short someone you share so many memories with.

On last Thursday’s episode of General Hospital, Dr. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) family and friends gathered for her memorial at the GH chapel.  However, viewers knew of the special connection between Britt and her bestie, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

Devastated at losing Britt, upset that she never told him she about her diagnosis with Huntington’s Disease, and mourning her death, Brad comes to her former office, where Britt was the Co-Chief of Staff at the hospital. After exchanging heartfelt moments with Britt’s mother, the grieving Liesl (Kathleen Gati), and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), Brad (with a paper bag in hand) spends some time alone in Britt’s former office, which has now been cleaned out.

Next, Brad takes out a carton of ice cream (for those who know the back-story, Britt and Brad would sit together each with ice cream and watch the red carpet at the Nurses’ Ball on TV and hoot and howl at the residents of Port Charles), and thus begins a very emotional and five-hankie moment, where Brad recalls all the key moments in their friendship.

Parry Shen was so touching in this scene, that if you have been a fans of Britt and Brad’s friendship, we are sure you shed some tears.

Later, during the memorial, Brad is pained listening to the others eulogize Britt, and when it is his turn to speak, he does his best to get through it and pay homage to his best friend.

We will miss the Brad and Britt friendship as will many GH viewers for it was one-of-a-kind on the soaps – two originally, not so nice people, doing bad things and finding common ground with each other, and eventually turning their lives around and being there to support each other.

For all of these scenes mentioned above, Michael Fairman TV names Parry Shen’s work, the Power Performance of the Week.  You can check out a clip featuring Shen below.

Now, let us know, what did you think of Parry’s Performance during Britt’s memorial episode? Comment below.

GH’s Eden McCoy Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

Not often does a week’s worth of soaps offer up so many outstanding performances. However, the beginning of 2023 brought just that in dramatic scenes featuring General Hospital’s Kathleen Gati (Liesl), Kelly Thiebaud (ex-Britt), Willian Lipton (Cameron), Parry Shen (Brad) and Days of our Lives Lauren Koslow (Kate).

When all was said and done there was one performance, that for us, rang most true. For anyone who has ever gone through a break-up and had to let someone you care about down, you could feel and understand the raw emotion displayed by General Hospital’s Eden McCoy (Josslyn).

Photo: ABC

Not only did McCoy deliver during the breakup scenes as Joss broke Cameron’s heart into pieces, but later, Joss is shocked and guilt-ridden to find out that Britt died from ‘The Hook’s’ attack after saving her life, and then having to admit the whole thing to her mother, Carly (Laura Wright). Never mind the one other event of that fateful night.  Joss had sex with Dex (Evan Hofer) before she headed over to Kelly’s to talk to Cameron, realizing she should have cleared-up her relationship, first.

McCoy really shined when Josslyn arrived at Kelly’s to tell Cameron things have changed between them. She tearfully apologized for not coming to him sooner.  She promises she will always love him, but she is not in love with him anymore, and she lets him know there is no going back. They can’t fix things.  As Josslyn pours her heart out knowing what this was doing to Cameron, it was a five-hankie moment, indeed.

In addition, when Josslyn spills most all to her mother (she left out the part of having sex with Dex), you could genuinely feel the bond between the two, which as we have stated many times through the years, speaks to the perfect casting of McCoy as Carly’s daughter and her on-screen chemistry with Laura Wright.

For all of these well-played and outstanding moments, Michael Fairman TV names Eden McCoy our pick for The Power Performance of the Week.

Now let us know, what did you think of Eden’s work in the break-up scenes between Joss and Cam and its aftermath? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Britt Dies, Josslyn Breaks Up with Cameron, Ava Finds Out Esme is Pregnant

Wednesday’s General Hospital featured a heartbreaking death and an emotional break-up.  Although fans knew that Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) was leaving the daytime soap opera, we all thought that she would exit the canvas alive, especially given the set-up of her goodbye/birthday party, and that Britt was leaving those she loved behind to go live out her days with a new identity why she battled Huntington’s Disease.

However, the surprise was on us.  When Britt returned to the ‘Haunted Star’ to be with her mother Liesl (Kathleen Gati), she collapses. Eventually, Britt starts coughing up blood and Liesl finally realizes she needs to call 911.  But, it’s all too late.  Britt tells Liesl she won’t make it to the hospital as she was poisoned by ‘The Hook’.  As she draws her last breaths, Britt asks her mother to hold her.   The scenes featured touching performances by Kathleen Gati and Kelly Thiebaud.

Later, Liesl is alone at the hospital and Scott (Kin Shriner) joins her, and that is when Scott learns Britt dies.  He phones Nina.  Meanwhile, Liesl says one final emotional goodbye to Britt.

In another tearjerker. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) realizes she has to break up with Cam (William Lipton) tonight, especially after having sex with Dex (Evan Hofer).  She says it was wrong of her to give into her feelings for Dex, without breaking up with Cam, first.  Joss heads to Kelly’s with Dex outside for protection from ‘The Hook’.  Inside, an emotional Joss tells Cam things have changed between them, and that they can’t go back to how they were.  She apologizes to a gut-punched Cam but she’s not in love with him anymore.  Cam tells her they cannot go back to being friends.  Eden McCoy and William Lipton were excellent in these break-up scenes.

At GH, Esme (Avery Pohl) apparently has some form of amnesia from her hypothermia and can’t remember her name, that she was pregnant or where she was.  Is it another trick … or did Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) just get off scot-free for their roles in kidnapping her?

When Ava (Maura West) arrives at GH and learns that Esme is pregnant, Nikolas approaches her so they can have a word in private.  Then, in front of Laura (Genie Francis), Trina (Tabyana Ali), Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and more, Ava asks Nikolas if he is Esme’s baby daddy, to which he replies, “Yes”.    Then, as only Ava can do, she hauls of and slaps him as his mother looks on in horror over the entire situation!

So, were you shocked that GH decided to kill off Dr. Britt Westbourne? What did you think of the break-up scenes between Josslyn and Cameron? Now that Ava knows Esme is pregnant with Nikolas’ child, what do you hope she does next? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section, but first, check out Josslyn trying to let Cameron down easy that only backfires on her in the clip from today’s GH below.
