Lulu and Lucky have a heart to heart. The Balkan welcomes a mercenary to Port Charles to help him avenge his son. Lulu mourns the loss of her relationship and Dante arrives to take her to the opera.  He pitches reconciliation, but she turns him down even after he tells her the truth about him and Brenda. Spinelli begs Carly not to reveal the damning evidence that proves Brenda and Dante shared a child. Jason ultimately subdues Brandon by force.  Abby confesses that she lied to Michael in hopes to protect him but maintains that she does not want to see him again. Sam and Jason discuss why they shouldn’t be parents in light of what is currently happening to Michael. Alexis convinces Molly to see a therapist for PTSD. Lulu, Lucky and Ethan discuss the Spencer curse on love. Maxie questions why Luke is shipping her diamonds for a Crimson photo shoot.

Reeling from the break up, Maxie counsels Lulu as Olivia supports Dante. Johnny gets pummeled by the Balkan’s mercenary and Lulu finds him. Jason discovers that Sam technically could get pregnant if she goes through the new “fertility reconstruction” procedure. Terrell positions himself as the “hero” to Robin, chaffing Patrick. Tracy motivates Brook Lynn not to give up on Nik, even as Liz has other plans. Ethan accuses Maya of sabotaging their apartment lease to stay with Edward.

Lulu cares for Johnny’s wounds. Dante and Theo argue over the civil suit and client confidentiality. Lucky and Jason’s suspicions are aroused when the traitor shows his/her hand. Michael takes to the streets, hoping to accidentally see Abby. Jason counsels Michael to respect Abby’s wishes for separation. Sam protests any desire to have a baby. Spinelli thinks Sam is pregnant. Terrell manages to charm Robin despite his failings in home improvement. Up to her usual antics, Brook Lynn pulls one over Liz. Lucky sets a trap to ensnare the traitor and confronts him/her with the false lead. Carly and Jax share a momentary loving reunion – until she finds out Jax traveled to London to protect Brenda from Jerry Jax. Dante tries to win Lulu back, but she remains too hurt by his lies about Brenda. Lulu is threatened by the Balkan. Molly tries to play matchmaker and get Michael and Abby back together. When Brandon sees Abby with Michael, he attacks her in a jealous rage – attempting to rape her. Michael is confronted with the memories of Carter as he fights off Brandon from hurting Abby. Sam, Brenda and Spinelli discuss pregnancy, dredging up feelings of loss for Sam and (unbeknownst to them) for Brenda.

When Martin Met Jackie (AKA All My Children’s Tad and Jenny) on General Hospital

If you caught Monday’s episode of General Hospital, the ABC daytime drama snuck in a ‘wink-wink nudge-nudge’ to viewers of the once dominant ABC daytime soap opera line-up.

Since Kim Delaney was announced as coming to GH to take on the role of ace investigative journalist, Jackie Templeton, longtime All My Children viewers noted that she at some point could be reunited with her former All My Children TV brother, Michael E. Knight, because they are both now in Port Charles.

The one time Tad and Jenny Gardner of Pine Valley got re-acquainted on yesterday’s episode when Martin interrupted a conversation between Jackie and her son, Chase (Josh Swickard).  When he did, Jackie looks at Martin and says, “Do I know you?”   She looks as though she is trying to place exactly where she knows that face from, and from there the two eventually share their first one-on-one scenes as their new soap alter-egos.

In the moment, Martin wants Jackie to investigate what happened to his mother, Florence, and reveals to Jackie that his bio-brother is Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), which perks up Jackie to probably do some digging.

For many, it was great to see Michael and Kim together again, and here’s hoping GH can capitalize on it in future scenes.

So did you enjoy the nod to All My Children history on yesterday’s GH between Jackie and Martin aka Jenny and Tad? Comment below.

GH’s Lisa LoCicero Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

This week on General Hospital the truth came out on all fronts; as Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) put two and two together and realized Ned (Wally Kurth) cheated on her with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).  Meanwhile, Alexis figured out Tracy (Jane Elliot) framed her to make it look like she passed out drunk behind the wheel.

Throughout, there were great performances from Wally Kurth, Jane Elliot and Nancy Lee Grahn, but it was soap vet, Lisa LoCicero, who for us was given the material and stole the show with her heartbreaking performances as a woman scorned.

LoCicero plays Olivia Falconeri from Bensonhurst, so believably, that viewers understand her every woman, who married into the well-to-do Quatermaines, and who has a much higher moral and ethical standard then the Q’s.

In key scenes at the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia confronts Ned about the night he never came home, and she wants the truth.  She also rightly accuses Tracy on being part of the cover-up.  A caught Ned confesses.  He tells Olivia he was in a terrible place, and jumped to the wrong conclusion about her and Robert (Tristan Rogers), and began drinking, which Sam (Kelly Monaco) overhears and can’t believe he was drinking with an alcoholic. Olivia says that Ned is incapable of being trustworthy after spending his entire life amongst a house full of liars and cheats.  Meanwhile, Alexis shows up in the middle of all this to confront Tracy on her machinations setting the stage for a showdown between Olivia and Alexis.

When Alexis and Olivia talk in private, the former legal eagle apologizes to her friend for sleeping with her husband; saying they both knew it was wrong right after it happened, but Olivia quickly points out that they didn’t seem to stop themselves or think it was wrong, while he was unbuttoning his pants or she was taking off her blouse!

Olivia stands her ground through her devastation and is appalled that Alexis calls her a “friend” and how she is only showing remorse because she has been caught!

When Ned tries to talk to Olivia and professes how much he loves her and how sorry he is for having sex in a drunken stupor with Alexis, Olivia is gut-punched.  Ned continually says he thought Olivia and Robert hooked-up thanks to Brook Lynn deleting messages meant for Ned.  The fact that he would assume the worst of her, only made things worse for Ned, and then to go as far as having revenge sex with Alexis, made Olivia feel her husband had sunk to new lows.

It is then Olivia has a moment of reckoning; wondering what is her role in the Quartermaine family anyway, and how she doesn’t really fit in.  Ned promises to wait for her and begs her not to give up on them.  When he leaves, Liv breaks down … her marriage in pieces and betrayed by all those she thought she could trust.

Each of the aforementioned moments were played to perfection by LoCicero, leaving the audience wondering just what will Olivia do next and how will she bounce back from this betrayal.  That is why Michael Fairman TV names Lisa our pick for The Power Performance of the Week.  And, if it’s one thing we know about Olivia, she is a scrappy fighter, a survivor, and in the capable hands of this actress, we will be rooting for her all along the way.

So, what did you think of the performance of Lisa LoCicero?  Do you hope Olivia and Ned work things out and they stay together, or do you want to see if she and Robert Scorpio might have a new romance? Comment below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Julian & Sonny’s Showdown Ends Tragically; Cyrus Reveals His Past; Curtis & Jordan on the Rocks

Friday’s General Hospital left viewers in a free fall, literally, following the conclusion of the long-awaited final confrontation between arch enemies; Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Julian Jerome (William deVry).

Sonny tracks down Julian to the footbridge with gun in tow. He tells Julian the only way for him to get out of this alive, and for all his crimes, is to help him take down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and implicate him as the person behind the bombing a the Floating Rib. Julian says if he talks Cyrus will kill him, anyway.  Sonny says Julian will finally have some redemption if he does the ultimate sacrifice in order to bring down the drug lord.

Next, Julian seems to agree and then collapses, and we are to believe, at that point, that he has died, but when Sonny reaches down to check his pulse, Julian lunges at Sonny! Then a fight ensues and the gun goes off.  We don’t know whether it was Julian or Sonny who was shot.

However, it is Sonny who is alive and Julian has been shot dead in the stomach.   Next, Jason (Steve Burton) comes across the two on the footbridge.  As Sonny and Jason see each other, the bridge collapses underneath Sonny and Julian … and they go overboard!  Jason yells “Sonny!”

Back in Port Charles, Curtis (Donnell Turner) is hurt and betrayed by Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry), because she hid the truth from him that Taggert was alive.  She says she is sorry, but she did not want anything to happen to her husband, so she kept him out of the plans and to not let him in on what she was doing to protect Taggert.  Curtis says she never gave him an option and it is not OK about her consistent lies when comes to Taggert and her feud with Cyrus Renault.  There looks to be real trouble in paradise here.

At the long-term care facility in Vermont, Laura (Genie Francis) is an for an earful once Cyrus enters Florence’s room and he and his brother Martin (Michael E. Knight) go at it, reliving old wounds about their father.  Cyrus admits to Laura he figured out she was his half-sister and knew if he fed her bread crumbs she would make it to Vermont and figure it out.

Next, things get heated as we learn Cyrus was the odd man out in his relationship with his father, Gordon Gray.  Martin tells Laura that Cyrus intentionally ran down their father with a car.  Cyrus says it was accident.  in these scenes,  Jeff Kober delivered a top-notch performance revealing not only Cyrus’ inner pain and past, but leaving the audience and Laura still not trusting him and still fearful of him.

This episode seemingly marked the end of William deVry’s run of Julian Jerome who throughout his time in the role gave viewers memorable performances. William showed us the complexities of man caught up in the mob, but who loved his children in his own way, even through countless mistakes, bad decisions, and criminal moves.  And let’s not forget, Julian was one-half of the former fan favorite duo, Julexis with Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis).  Kudos to Will for a job well-done.

So, what did you think of the ending of Friday’s GH?  Will you miss Julian? What do you think will happen next to Sonny? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
