Ethan arrives at the hospital needing stitches in his hand from a reckless accident.  Jason, Dante and Lulu watch Kalup Ishmael’s performance of “Route 66,” and they wonder how the song fits into the other Franco clues. Sam is prepared with a gun when Franco arrives at her door. Franco warns Sam that if she apprehends him, Jason will have to go back to Pentonville.  She is shaken and allows Franco to leave. Franco meets with Kalup after his performance at Jake’s and recruits him for his masterpiece. Claire drags Sonny in for questioning; warning him Lucky has a lead which could implicate Sonny in Johnny’s car bombing. Sonny pulls Claire into a hot kiss and Claire further pretends to fall for Sonny. Michael advises Carly to give Jax another chance and she asks Jax for a family sailing day. Kristina opens up to Alexis about what happened at the library with Taylor. Helena remains spiteful of Liz, plotting the downfall of the Spencer family. Ethan confronts Maya and finally gets her to talk about her tragic romantic past.  Dante, Jason and Spinelli begin to unravel Franco’s clues, determining that Franco is trying to lead them to a location according to the song lyrics of “Route 66.” Franco pays a visit to Lulu, who is alone at Kate’s office. Claire assures Lucky that she is not falling prey to Sonny’s charms. Steve finds it hard to hide the truth from Robin when she questions him about Patrick and Lisa’s successful surgery on Shirley. Jax is overjoyed at the potential reunion between him and Carly. Spinelli advises Carly to pursue Jax if she wants him back. Liz starts to feel contractions and goes to the hospital, preparing to give birth. Spinelli tells Maxie that he is letting her go. Jason, Dante and Spinelli put together that Franco is committing murders and chronicling crime scenes in cities along Route 66, mirroring the song lyrics.  They conclude his final destination must be Los Angeles. Franco threatens Lulu that he may kill her on the spot to torture Dante. Now that Franco’s clues are understood, Ronnie seizes the opportunity to take Jason back into custody and return him to Pentonville. Jason receives another crime photo from Franco of his toy monkey in a public plaza (The Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles). Claire suggests Sonny walk away from the mob so he can have the relationship he wants with his kids. Lisa revels in every opportunity to put Patrick on the spot when he is with Robin. Sonny and Kristina connect when Sonny understands what she went through when Taylor inadvertently echoed her experience with Kiefer. In story, Sprina arrive to their hotel room which has, thank God, one bed! Spencer heads out to get some theater tickets, leaving Trina enough time to video call her bff, Josslyn (Eden McCoy), and fill her in on how her first time alone with Spencer is going.

Trina, now in her nightgown, awaits Spencer’s return. When he does, Spencer tells Trina that everything is running on schedule. He won’t divulge what he has planned, but he has a surprise for her.  When Spencer asks what Trina wants to see on their trip, she lists all the museums she wants to go to.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Cody Gets Himself Committed to Ferncliff to Save Sasha

Wednesday’s recap of General Hospital saw Cody (Josh Kelly) willing to do anything to help Sasha (Sofia Mattson) including; making himself look unstable or in need of a mental health facility for treatment.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) is in on Cody’s plan, and although she has reservations, she goes through with it. He assures Sam, it’s the only way he can get in to see Sasha.

The two meet with a psychiatrist named Dr. Brooks. Sam gives examples of Cody climbing out on the ledge of his seventh-floor apartment, and walking in traffic. Cody complains he doesn’t want to be here, and the doctor asks, “In his office or here in general?” Cody says, “On this planet, what is the point.”  Alone with the doctor, Cody says he is having more suicidal impulses than thoughts, and that climbing out on the ledge of an apartment building from the seventh-floor, or walking in traffic, is an adrenaline rush.

Meanwhile, out in the hallway of GH, Sam intentionally spills coffee all over Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder) as he happens by.  She apologizes as he drops his phone, and Sam picks it up, and sees Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) is calling him. Sam tells ‘Monty’ that she is waiting for a friend and that she wishes she had some cards to play a game with to pass the time. He asks, what her game of choice is. Like clockwork, Sam says “Poker.” Sam goes on to say, she loves the feel of the cards in her hands which he concurs, he does too! Dr. Montague happens to know where there is a game tonight and gives her his card if she wants the info.

Later, after convincing Dr. Brooks he needs to be admitted to Ferncliff, (before he is taken away by an orderly) Sam tells Cody that his plan to save Sasha better work, or she will kill him.

However, Dr. Montague arrives to see Sasha and asks Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) how she is doing. Janice says Sasha is showing signs of paranoia and claims that he’s the one who has been drugging her all along! Dr. Montague sharply says that Sasha is deteriorating, and it’s time for “drastic measures.”  An angry ‘Monty” goes into see Sasha alone. Sasha freak outs and requests that he leave. Dr. Montague refuses to do such a thing, and says he, “stays by his patients to the very end.”

So, what do you think of Cody playing mentally ill, so he can try to get Sasha out of Ferncliff? Do you want the drugging of Sasha to stop already? Have you seen enough? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
