Brenda announces she is leaving Sonny after what he did to Jax. Carly, Kristina and Ethan set out to find Morgan, Molly and Josslyn. Kristina finds the children and Jax threatens Carly that he’ll erase Carly from Josslyn’s life. Lulu struggles against Javier – but just when it looks like the worst will happen, Dante charges in and saves her from being raped. With no news of Luke, Lulu decides to set fire to the Bordello in Spencer fashion. Kristina remains ever so set to accompany Ethan to Vegas – he’s in deep.

Jason and Sam counsel a heartbroken Molly over the concept of love – bringing the couple closer together about their future.  Jason invites Sam for a rooftop dinner. Lucky and Liz come together for Aiden’s birthday – and Liz graciously invites Siobhan. As Brenda comforts Jax in jail, Carly questions Sonny’s methods wishing he had taken less extreme measures to win her Josslyn. Later, this quadrangle of lovers throws down outside the courthouse, and a verdict is leveled – in light of recent events Carly gains sole custody of Josslyn. Sonny remains determined not to lose Brenda, no matter how upset she is right now at him.  But she screams she will never come home with him.

With Maxie’s help, Jason picks out an engagement ring for Sam. As preparations are made, Sam confides in Alexis the possibility she is getting married.  But there is a snafu – Maxie accidentally drops the ring off the balcony! Jax levels awful insults Carly’s way as Sonny fights to hold onto the woman he loves. Jax makes plans to leave Port Charles, and Brenda catches Carly and Sonny in a situation. When Lucky steps away, Siobhan attacks Liz for putting on an act of kindness. Lucky tries to maintain a peaceful triangle, but drama looms between the three.

Unflappable, Jason moves forward with the rooftop proposal.  Sam makes a heartfelt decision.  Jax says goodbye to Michael, Morgan and Josslyn. Meanwhile, Brenda returns their rings to Sonny. Devastated and heartbroken, Sonny finds little comfort from Carly or Robin.  Brenda jets off on a plane with two surprising passengers. Lulu and Dante make their way home from Florida and find themselves in a cave on the Cassadine Island. Later, Dante crosses with Helena as Lulu eavesdrops. Meanwhile, Mac assigns Lucky a serious case with missing prescription drugs. Liz tries to help his investigation. Siobhan considers refilling the malpractice suit. Robin, Chief of Staff, becomes a nightmare to Patrick, Matt and Steve. Anthony Zacchara makes an appearance at ELQ with flowers for Abby. Later, Asher sows seeds of doubt in Michael and Abby to Tracy. Spinelli, as Jackal P.I., stakes out the bakery for serious and offers (bad) advice on what to do about Robin to Matt and Maxie.

This show only caters to a certain audience. I’m done watching a soap that doesn’t give other races a chance to experience love, romance & danger.

Don’t know if you’ll get this as your recaps are out dated but I was having a conversation today with a fellow GH watcher and we were discussing Sonny’s character wondering where the hell the writers are going with this story line. It seems so foolish to have brought Brenda’s character back so weak and have her exit on a poor note. Fans have been waiting so long to see their wedding and marriage bet the odds. We feel robbed that the writers wrote such a foolish story line of their love. What was the point of her short cast?… Read more »

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Diane Poised to Be Attacked by the ‘Hook’; Elizabeth Knew Finn’s Late Wife, Reiko?

On Friday’s cliffhanger of General Hospital, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) looks to be the next victim of the mysterious ‘hook’.  We won’t know till Monday how it plays out, but things are not looking good for the legal eagle in a preview for the airshow.

In story, Diane dropped by the garage that Brando worked at, looking for Sasha (Sofia Mattson).  At first, she bumps into Sonny (Maurice Benard) who is not pleased with Diane for trying to take him down on the witness stand during Nina’s hearing.  She shares she was helping her clients Michael and Willow as best she could.  Sonny says it was personal for him and he can’t forget what happened.

Next, Diane tells Sasha that she’s serving as her interim lawyer since Martin is unavailable and is there to discuss her guardianship. Sasha is scared that she’ll wind up behind bars now that Brando is gone.  Diane assures Sasha she will file a continuance to keep the process going to keep her out of jail. Diane asks where the guardianship papers may be, and Sasha tells her to check Brando’s office.

Dex (Evan Hofer), who is looking suspicious (but it has to be a red-herring, right?) is going to take Sasha home per Sonny’s orders, but Sonny also tells Dex to lock up when Diane is finished with her business.

Later, Diane in the dark, goes to Brando’s office to find the guardianship papers. Next, a figure appears in the doorway with the hook.  This time the ‘Hook’ looks to be of smaller stature leading many on social media that the person behind the violence could be Esme.

In other developments, Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) convoluted storyline, just got even more convoluted.  Liz looks at the photo she’s drawn and suddenly has a flashback revealing the woman’s face at the bottom of the stairwell.  She then tells Finn (Michael Easton) that after her recent session with Kevin, she recalls seeing the woman’s face. Conveniently, Finn was just talking about his late wife, Reiko with Gregory (Gregory Harrison).  So, when Liz talks to Finn, she sees a woman’s face on Finn’s phone.

Finn explains that the picture is of his late wife, Reiko.  He tells Liz he is working on a case that reminded him of Reiko, and he mentions being in the Mariana Islands with her. That makes Liz frantic and she decides to leave. Next, she heads home, where she locates a photo of her and her sister, Sarah. The photo is titled, “Elizabeth and Sarah, Mariana Islands, 1997.”

So, do you think Diane will perish or survive the attack by the ‘Hook’? Who is the ‘Hook”? What on earth is going on with Liz’s storyline? Share your thoughts and theories in the comment section below.  But first, vote in our latest ‘Michael’s Poll’ below by voting on which character is the culprit behind all of the bloodshed?

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brando Dies … But Not From His Wounds

On Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital, poor Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was hit with yet another punch to the gut.  After losing her baby, Liam, back in December of 20201, she has now lost her husband, Brando (Johnny Wactor), in s shocking turn events that played out in Brando’s hospital room.

Finally coming to (following being ‘hooked’ by the mysterious figure) after surviving hours of surgery from his wounds, he goes coughs up blood and then goes into a massive seizure right in front of Sasha.

Panicked, Sasha calls for help, where Portia (Brook Kerr) and her team run in to try to save Brando.  Next, we get a montage of the love story of Brando and Sasha, which is never a good sign on soap operas – as it more often than not – signals the end of the line for a character.

After Portia is completely rattled by why Brando is dying when the surgery is a success, eventually he passes away.  Portia comes out of his hospital room and tells Sasha they did everything they could.  Just then, Brando’s mom, Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) along with Nina (Cynthia Watros), come by and all the women are struck with heartbreaking grief.  Sonny (Maurice Benard) happens upon the scene and asks Portia what happened and she reveals there were sudden complications.

Wanting a moment alone to say goodbye to his cousin, Sonny (Maurice Benard) tells Brando to take care of Liam and Mike when he sees them in heaven. Sonny also promises to take care of Sasha and Gladys. Next, Sasha wants Sonny to go into Brando’s room with her, and they are joined by Nina and Gladys, who all stand over his bedside in tears.

Elsewhere, Portia finds Finn (Michael Easton) to look over Brando’s medical reports and case, and relates that Brando’s symptoms don’t track with what happened to him when he was brought into the ER and what happened in surgery.  She ponders if there is a more sinister explanation for his death, hoping Finn (even though he is an infectious disease doc) can help shed some light.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Linda Purl Guest Stars as Peyton and Carly Open Old Wounds

Thursday’s episode of General Hospital featured a guest star turn by TV and film star, Linda Purl taking on the role of Mrs. Wade Honeycutt aka Peyton.

In story, while delayed in Jacksonville on her way to Aruba, Carly (Laura Wright) is blindsided by a woman who comes up to her saying how refreshing it is to see someone reading a book and not on their cellphone. Carly shares she lost the phone on the plane she was on before she was grounded due to bad weather in Jacksonville. Being in Jacksonville is the last place that Carly wants to be; given this is the place she grew up in and was then known as “Caroline Benson”.

When the woman named “Peyton” joins her at her table, they talk about Jacksonville. The very-opinionated Peyton shares that she is a member of the city beautification board.  Then, she looks at the bar and sees a married man she knows with a young woman who is not his daughter, which sets her off.  Peyton calls ‘her kind, trash’, alluding to that the young woman is a call girl.  Carly is taken aback by her comments.  Shockingly, Peyton reveals how Ruby Anderson’s boarding house was torn down by her beautification board, because everybody knew it was a brothel. Next, Carly reveals Ruby was her great aunt.

All of a sudden, a horrified and emotional Carly realizes who Peyton is!  Peyton was married to another man before her current husband Wade. Peyton realizes Carly is Caroline Benson, and knows that Carly has been using her daughter Reese’s nickname.  At that point, Peyton lets Carly have it as she blames her for Reese’s death.

We then learn that Carly seduced Peyton’s then-husband Daniel. Carly defends herself as a 16-year-old teen and that her husband was an adult, so he was at fault for everything.  Peyton calls Carly ‘trash’ who just wanted Reese’s life and tried to get it by sleeping with her father. When Reese found out about the tryst, she was devastated and got in a car, and wound up in the accident that killed her.

Carly tells Peyton she is not having this; she is a grown woman and owes her nothing.  Peyton tells her to get out of Jacksonville as soon as possible because she doesn’t belong there and never did.

The scenes between Purl and Laura Wright were outstanding.  However, many fans have referenced that the back-story of Reese and Carly was altered.

So, what did you think of the scenes between Linda Purl and Laura Wright as Peyton and Carly drudge up the past? Comment below.
