Brenda announces she is leaving Sonny after what he did to Jax. Carly, Kristina and Ethan set out to find Morgan, Molly and Josslyn. Kristina finds the children and Jax threatens Carly that he’ll erase Carly from Josslyn’s life. Lulu struggles against Javier – but just when it looks like the worst will happen, Dante charges in and saves her from being raped. With no news of Luke, Lulu decides to set fire to the Bordello in Spencer fashion. Kristina remains ever so set to accompany Ethan to Vegas – he’s in deep.

Jason and Sam counsel a heartbroken Molly over the concept of love – bringing the couple closer together about their future.  Jason invites Sam for a rooftop dinner. Lucky and Liz come together for Aiden’s birthday – and Liz graciously invites Siobhan. As Brenda comforts Jax in jail, Carly questions Sonny’s methods wishing he had taken less extreme measures to win her Josslyn. Later, this quadrangle of lovers throws down outside the courthouse, and a verdict is leveled – in light of recent events Carly gains sole custody of Josslyn. Sonny remains determined not to lose Brenda, no matter how upset she is right now at him.  But she screams she will never come home with him.

With Maxie’s help, Jason picks out an engagement ring for Sam. As preparations are made, Sam confides in Alexis the possibility she is getting married.  But there is a snafu – Maxie accidentally drops the ring off the balcony! Jax levels awful insults Carly’s way as Sonny fights to hold onto the woman he loves. Jax makes plans to leave Port Charles, and Brenda catches Carly and Sonny in a situation. When Lucky steps away, Siobhan attacks Liz for putting on an act of kindness. Lucky tries to maintain a peaceful triangle, but drama looms between the three.

Unflappable, Jason moves forward with the rooftop proposal.  Sam makes a heartfelt decision.  Jax says goodbye to Michael, Morgan and Josslyn. Meanwhile, Brenda returns their rings to Sonny. Devastated and heartbroken, Sonny finds little comfort from Carly or Robin.  Brenda jets off on a plane with two surprising passengers. Lulu and Dante make their way home from Florida and find themselves in a cave on the Cassadine Island. Later, Dante crosses with Helena as Lulu eavesdrops. Meanwhile, Mac assigns Lucky a serious case with missing prescription drugs. Liz tries to help his investigation. Siobhan considers refilling the malpractice suit. Robin, Chief of Staff, becomes a nightmare to Patrick, Matt and Steve. Anthony Zacchara makes an appearance at ELQ with flowers for Abby. Later, Asher sows seeds of doubt in Michael and Abby to Tracy. Spinelli, as Jackal P.I., stakes out the bakery for serious and offers (bad) advice on what to do about Robin to Matt and Maxie.

This show only caters to a certain audience. I’m done watching a soap that doesn’t give other races a chance to experience love, romance & danger.

Don’t know if you’ll get this as your recaps are out dated but I was having a conversation today with a fellow GH watcher and we were discussing Sonny’s character wondering where the hell the writers are going with this story line. It seems so foolish to have brought Brenda’s character back so weak and have her exit on a poor note. Fans have been waiting so long to see their wedding and marriage bet the odds. We feel robbed that the writers wrote such a foolish story line of their love. What was the point of her short cast? It would have been better to see Brenda’s character strong and determined to keep her marriage at all cost. Would have been cool to see her stick it to Carly and be the ultimate diva mob wife and Sonny make Jax look like a bigger jerk off/candy boy as Sonny calls him. Poor job writing GH grade F for foolish. I’m just saying…

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Tracy Learns Gregory Died from Cody; Finn and Chase Share Their Grief

Friday’s May 24th episode of General Hospital featured some very touching scenes.

First, when Tracy (Jane Elliot) returned to the stables for a ride, she is met by Cody (Josh Kelly). He tells her she is needed in the house. Tracy doesn’t think anyone needs her there.

Tracy relates how Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) are on a plane to Florence. Cody tells her that they couldn’t get on that plane. Cody can only say, “He’s sorry.” It’s at that moment Tracy is hit with the realization that Gregory passed away.

Cody tells her what he knows of Gregory’s passing, but Tracy says that she knew this was eventually going to happen, but this feels so sudden. Cody is sorry she had to hear the news from him.  Tracy says, she’s not. She poignantly thinks Gregory must have been a lot like Cody when he was younger. Tracy goes on to say they both have an open way about them as he doesn’t miss a thing, doesn’t talk much, doesn’t push people around, and that he gives people a lot of grace. Cody is moved. Tracy decides she needs to head out.

Next, Tracy comes to the hospital and meets with Stella. Knowing Stella (Vernee Watson) is a patient advocate, Tracy tells her if anything comes up for Gregory’s death regarding bills or anything she can handle with her hands or her checkbook, to let her know. Tracy reveals that she doesn’t want Gregory’s family to worry about anything right now. She goes on to say to keep her name out of it.

Stella tells Tracy this is her loss to and its OK for her to grieve. Tracy shared that Gregory changed her, and she doesn’t want to let him down, at least not so soon.

At Finn’s, Chase tries to console his brother. Finn tells Chase he also lost his dad, but Chase can see how hard finding Gregory dead has hit Finn; given he has been drinking. Finn tells Chase that the person he found in that bed didn’t look their dad.  He cries that he didn’t want this to happen and Chase hugs his brother tight and says neither did he.

Sitting down together, the two brothers have a heart-to-heart. Finn realizes he handled the entire situation the wrong way and even pushed Elizabeth away.  Chase says there is no correct way to grieve. Finn feels such guilt over how many times in their lives he hurt their father, and now he threw his sobriety away, which Gregory was proud of him for.

Chase says he rebuilt his relationship with their dad, and he can do the same now with his sobriety. Finn asks Chase to get rid of the liquor bottle and so Chase takes care of it.  When Violet (Jophielle Love) and Brook Lynn return, Finn tells Brook Lynn he is so sorry that she and Chase had to miss their honeymoon. Brook Lynn assures him she is here for him for whatever he needs. Next, Finn says he needs a meeting and Chase says he thinks that is a good idea.

Meanwhile, in Albany, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is having all sorts of trouble in her attempt to get her law license reinstated during her her hearing vs. Fergus Byrne (Lane Davies). The judges will render their decision within 30 days and notify the parties. Will she head back to Port Charles, find out about Gregory, and wind up at an AA meeting with Finn?

In this episode, the always fabulous Jane Elliot touched out hearts in her scenes as well as Josh Kelly, Michael Easton and Josh Swickard.

So, what did you think about Tracy’s reaction to Gregory’s death? The scenes between Finn and Chase and what will happen to Alexis next? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Chase Confronts Finn On His Drinking After Gregory’s Death

The saga of the aftermath of Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) death continuesdon the Thursday May 23rd episode of General Hospital. At Finn’s (Michael Easton), Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) who knows he has lost his sobriety and has been drinking, attempts to tell the good doctor that she cares about him too much to let him throw away seven years sober.

Finn lashes out at Liz and tells her she doesn’t get to tell him when he is allowed to drink. Liz says she’s looking out for Violet (Jophielle Love) as he in turns looks out for her boys. Finn announces that Liz can stay here and make bracelets with Violet or leave. Next, he opens the door, and she walks out.

Immediately, Liz calls Chase (Josh Swickard) telling him to get over to Finn’s as his brother really needs him.  Meanwhile at the Q’s, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) gives a tender hug to her dad, Ned (Wally Kurth) because she can’t bear the thought of losing him.

Now back at Finn’s, he takes another drink and Violet emerges with the friendship bracelet and inquires where did Aunt Elizabeth go? Finn covers for the situation and says Liz got called back to the hospital, but she can show the bracelet she made to her later.

Just then, Chase and Brook Lynn finally show up. Surveying the situation, Brook Lynn can see that Finn has been drinking. She takes Violet for a walk so the two brothers can be alone.

Chase wants to know what happened, “step by step.” He shoots a look at the bottle of booze and says to Finn, “I mean everything that happened.” Finn tells him that Violet was at school and he came upon their father, dead in his bed.  At the point, Finn also admits he had a drink, maybe more than one, although it’s been such an emotional day he is not sure how many he has had. In addition, Finn did not cop to taking a sip of champagne at his brother’s wedding reception, which started this downfall.

Now the question becomes, what will Finn ask Chase to do? Cover for him? Help him to a meeting? Will he get rid of his brother quickly so he can continue his downward spiral? Weigh-in and share your theory via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Finn Tells Violet That Gregory Passed, While Elizabeth Sees He Has Been Drinking

The raw emotions continued on the Wednesday, May 22nd episode of General Hospital as Finn (Michael Easton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) try to come to grips with the death of their father, Gregory (Gregory Harrison).

In story, Gregory passed away in his sleep and his battle with ALS came to its conclusion. In the pick-up, Finn now has to tell his daughter, Violet (Jophielle Love) that her grandfather had passed when she returned home from school.

Gingerly, Finn does his best to explain to Violet what happened. Finn tells her that her grandfather’s heart stopped beating, and he wasn’t in pain. Violet bursts into tears saying that she wants Grandpa to still be here and runs into his room calling out for him. Then, in very touching scenes, Finn follows Violet. She asks her dad where her Grandpa is. Finn explains the paramedics took him away. She cries that she didn’t get the chance to even say goodbye.

Next, Finn hugs Violet and tells his little girl that life is so beautiful, but sometimes it’s unfair. He carries Violet back to the living room, but passes by the bottle of booze. He sits her down on the couch and tells her there will be a funeral in a few days so they will get to say goodbye to Grandpa together. When Violet asks where her Grandpa is now, Finn says he is in heaven.

Later, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) shows up and hugs Violet and Finn. She can see right away that Finn has been drinking, especially after eyeing the glass, and the bottle on the counter. Getting Violet out of the room for a moment, Liz tells Finn she can’t even imagine the pain he must be in right now. So, he should go to a meeting and Violet will come home with her for the night.

Finn puts his foot down that Violet will stay with him. He just watched two total stranger, the paramedics, take his dad away. He says he took one drink to ease his pain. Finn stands up to Liz and says he thinks given the circumstances he has a right to do whatever it takes to get through the day. Next, Liz says she can’t stop him, but she will not have him get drunk with his daughter in the apartment, and so, she is taking Violet with her.

Elsewhere, Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) decide at the airport to head back to the Quartermaines, and not take off for their honeymoon, since Gregory died. When they show up at the Q’s, Chase says he wants to be with his brother, but he is giving him time to tell Violet. Next, the newlyweds are greeted by Ned (Wally Kurth) and Lois (Rena Sofer). They tell the two the truth, leaving everyone stunned or in tears. Chase heads out to find Tracy.

Meanwhile, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is holding on to her good luck charm from Gregory as her reinstatement hearing begins. Little does she know, he has passed away. Alexis finds out she is in a court battle with Fergus Byrne (Lane Davies), the brother of the late Neil Byrne.

So, what did you think of the performances of Jophielle Love and Michael Easton in the touching scenes between Violet and Finn? Will Finn end up on a complete bender? Will his brother Chase show up in time to help him? Comment below.
