Brenda tries to escape, but Theo finds her and brings her back to his cave. Theo demands to know what Brenda has done with his grandchild. Sonny and Dante work together to get information from the Balkan assassin. Shawn returns with the Balkan’s records, and Jason is hopeful there may be a clue to Brenda’s whereabouts. Sam admits to Abby how much she would like to have a child with Jason. Jason warns Michael away from a mob life because of the sacrifice the job requires. Michael and Abby grow closer – but when Abby invites him back to her place, Michael panics and turns down intimacy. Luke and Lucky discuss the risks of having a green card marriage with Siobhan. Siobhan is notified that she is being deported. Brenda insists her baby was stillborn, but an increasingly threatening Theo is not buying her story. Dante presses Suzanne for more information about the baby. Sonny realizes that part of Theo’s revenge on Brenda is to take down Sonny. Jason and Sam get romantic in her hospital bed when he visits her. Carly stumbles upon Michael and Abby, and his mother’s acceptance of his girlfriend makes Michael just as uncomfortable as when she did not approve.

Nik and Brook Lynn make love. Liz’s day gets worse when Lucky arrives to tell her he is marrying Siobhan. Liz submits a new DNA paternity test for Aiden. Jason pushes Spinelli into uncovering valuable information to find Brenda. Brenda plots another escape attempt with the help of the Balkan’s servant, but Theo has other plans for her. Jax freaks out when he discovers Carly tending to Shawn’s wounds and getting involved with mob violence – instigating a custody battle over their children. Jason brings Sam home. Maxie is on a mission to nail Lisa, and she and Matt end up in awkward close quarters as Johnny and Lisa enjoy their love/hate relationship. Though Luke offers Siobhan and Lucky and interesting alternative to obtain a green card, Lucky and Siobhan agree to get married. Jason finds out that he is a character in Spinelli’s fiction novel and is not happy.

Not getting answers, Theo injects Brenda with a deadly neuro-toxin and leaves her for dead as Sonny, Jason and Dante bust into his hideout. Jason and Dante differ in approach to taking Theo out. Sonny cradles an almost lifeless Brenda in his arms. Patrick & Robin break into Johnny’s, determined to bring down Lisa. Matt & Maxie grow closer as they troubleshoot Patrick & Robin’s marriage troubles. Kristina’s crush on Ethan escalates, but Ethan and Maya take things in stride. Sonny rushes Brenda to General Hospital under Patrick and Robin’s care. It is not clear they will be able to save her. Jason and Dante pursue Theo as he tries to make his escape. Johnny & Lisa catch Patrick & Robin in the act of trespassing. Lisa wonders why Johnny did not give her up. Kristina remains set against Michael dating Abby and takes matters into her own hands when the couple makes plans for an intimate dinner. Luke offers to help Carly blackmail Jax into rescinding his custody threats.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ric’s History of Jealousy Where Elizabeth is Concerned Has Come Back Around

Ric

On General Hospital, Ric Lansing (Rick Heart) is about to fall back into dangerous old patterns by the foreshadowing during the Wednesday, August 19 episode. After first coming to see his brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and telling him of his plan to propose to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) his longtime love tonight, Sonny has concerned.

Next, Sonny reminds his brother of what has happened in the past, when things have gone south with Elizabeth and wonders if it’s too soon for him to propose to her. What Ric did not tell Sonny is that he has seen the developing closeness between Sonny’s son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth, which is propelling his urgent need to propose.

Meanwhile, Dante ran into Elizabeth at the park during a break from their mutual team softball games. She needs help with a bookcase after the game at her house. Dante wants to put it together for her. Later, Dante arrived at Elizabeth’s house, limping after injuring his knee during the game. Head nurse Liz wanted to check out the injury as much as Dante protested, which required him to take off his pants.

RIC BEGINS TO UNRAVEL

Outside Elizabeth’s widow, Ric arrives with a bouquet of roses and the engagement ring. When he leers through the widow he is shocked to see Elizabeth rubbing Dante’s leg while Dante is in his boxer/shorts. He storm troops into the house, demanding to know what is going on here? Both Elizabeth and Dante look surprised by his reaction. In the pick-up of today’s Thursday, August 20 episode (see GH video teaser below), viewers will learn the upshot for all three characters.

A VENGEFUL PAST

As longtime GH fans know, Ric has done some horrible, vengeful things in regards to Elizabeth starting back in 2003 after she lost her baby after Ric’s ex, Faith Rosco pushed her down a flight of stairs. Ric accused Sonny for the accident and to get revenge, Ric kidnapped Carly (who was married to Sonny at the time), and stashed her in a panic room below the house where he was living with Liz.

On top of that, Ric fed his wife Elizabeth birth control pills to keep her from getting pregnant so that they could raise Carly’s baby together after it was born. Eventually, Elizabeth found Carly in the panic room but ended up having a pulmonary embolism. When she woke up in the hospital, Elizabeth was all confused by what happened, and Ric convinced her that her vision of  Carly was just a bad dream. Eventually, Elizabeth learned the horrifying truth and divorced Ric.

Years later, Ric noticed the connection between Elizabeth and “Jake Doe” who eventually turned out to be Drew (Billy Miller) A jealous Ric hired Hayden Barnes to show up and claim to be “Jake’s” wife. Elizabeth stepped aside, and when Ric planned to propose to Elizabeth at the 2015 Nurses Ball, Carly exposed his manipulations, and Elizabeth dumped him yet again. And those are just two examples of the lengths Ric will go to for Elizabeth!

So, we ask you, given the history of Elizabeth and Ric, how do you see this playing out with Dante in the picture? How will Ric derail their growing bond? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Is ‘Jarly’ the Best Relationship in Soaps? Should Jason Go Work for the Quartermaines?

Carly and Jason

General Hospital’s Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason’s (Steve Burton) bond will never been broken, and they reaffirmed that on the Friday, August 14 episode of the ABC soap opera.

For the first time since making his decision to leave the mob and work for Sonny (Maurice Benard), Jason sits down with Carly in her kitchen and breaks the news to her. She is shocked.

Jason explains that his time in Jakarta imprisoned by the WSB gave him time to think, and that he came to the realization his priorities are mixed up and he needs to put his son, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) first. When Carly asked how Sonny took the news, a tearful Jason explains that Sonny understood. Carly defends Jason’s decision as the right one.

The two share a heartfelt moment from across the kitchen table when Carly takes Jason’s hand and acknowledged how difficult it must be for him, considering his loyalty to Sonny all these years. That prompted Jason to apologize to Carly for the all times that his loyalty to Sonny had to come first over his loyalty to her. Carly says she married Sonny five different times and had his children. She understands it’s difficult to walk away and about loyalty, through her tears.

LIFE AFTER SONNY

When Carly asks Jason what is he going to do now, Jason tells his bff he hasn’t figured that out yet. Carly can’t believe she’s going to say this, but the Quartermaines could use his help. She believes Jason has a perspective that could help Ned (Wally Kurth) and Michael (Rory Gibson) at ELQ and Tracy (Jane Elliot) would love to have Jason at the company. Jason says he has to think about, and that it can’t interfere in his relationship with his son.

At the end of the discussion, Jason and Carly love lives are brought up. Let’s not forget, they previously married each other in September of 2021. This is when Sonny was presumed dead, only to show up before the final paperwork was signed, which nullified the best friend’s marriage to each other, and they suddenly went back to being friends.

NO QUESTIONS ON THEIR CURRENT LOVE LIVES

Now in 2026, Carly wonders if Jason told Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) he has left the mob, to which he informs her he hasn’t told her yet, while Carly tells Jason she will keep her relationship with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) out of their friendship.

They both know the other is not too happy with their current romantic partners. But, whether Jason and Britt can actually get back on sound footing, and pick up where they left off before Jason was taken by the WSB, is still left to be seen.

In the end, any scenes that showcase the ongoing bond between Jason and Carly in the hands of Steve Burton and Laura Wright, is always moving and played to perfection by these two long-running staples of the General Hospital brand.

So this all begs a few questions: Should Jason go work for the Quartermaines? Do you think it would be interesting to see him in business, or do you think he would hate it and be bored? Do you think of all the friendships on the current landscape of soap operas still on the air that Carly and Jason’s is one of the best? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Gets Willow Right Where He Wants Her, Curtis is Found Guilty and Sentenced to Prison

Michael and Willow

The Thursday, August 13 episode of General Hospital gave us just what Michael (Rory Gibson) was going to do to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), now that he had the goods on her that she shot Drew, the verdict in the Curtis (Donnell Turner) vs. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) case, and left us with Trina (Tabyana Ali) alone with her stalker nearby. Let’s take a look at how it all went down!

When Willow arrived at the Quartermaines to pick up Wiley and Amelia, she was stopped in her tracks when Michael confronted her armed with the truth that she shot Drew (Cameron Mathison) twice in the back. She denies it. However, Michael pulls out of an envelope signed affidavits from Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina, explaining they were at Drew’s house that night and have proof.

Michael explains her ring tone went off on her phone while she was getting ready to shoot Drew, and it was a match for Wiley’s. Kai and Trina heard the same ringtone at the courthouse when she stood trial for attempted murder. Willow threw the fact that she can’t be tried again in a court of law because of double jeopardy. However, Michael stopped her ranting and says double jeopardy doesn’t apply in family court.

HOW MICHAEL GOT THE UPPER HAND ON WILLOW

Now, Michael is ready to expose her crime. Suddenly, Willow grabs the rolling pin on the counter to strike Michael, but he is able to block her. Michael tells Willow she either accepts the arrangement he is about to tell her, or she will never see her children again. Willow tries to counter that Jacinda drugged her and she can prove it. However, Michael lets it be known that Jacinda is long gone with no forwarding address.

Next, Michael tells Willow she can remain a part of their children’s lives and he will keep their current custody arrangement as long as she moves back into the gatehouse. Willow hates the gatehouse, but knows she has no other option, so she says she will pack up her things at Nina’s and move in.

GUILTY!

At the courthouse, the jury has reached a verdict in the case of Curtis vs. Isaiah. When the jury comes back before the court, the jury foreperson shares, “We find the defendant, Curtis Ashford, guilty of second-degree assault and battery.” In lieu of the verdict, the judge sentences Curtis to ten years in prison at Pentonville with the possibility of parole in two years.

Curtis’ attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) tells his client he has gotten him 48 hours before he had to report to prison, and planned to file an appeal with the courts on the verdict. Curtis then says heartfelt goodbyes with Trina and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), before heading over to Portia’s (Brook Kerr) to see his newborn son, Desmond knowing he will not see him for quite a long time.

WHO’S THE STALKER?

Trina and Kai are at now at Bobbie’s. They talk about her father going to prison, and Trina is channeling her feelings into her songwriting. Kai decides to let Trina be by herself so she can focus and he won’t be a distraction. However, after Kai makes his exit, someone is looking through the windows at Bobbie’s and targeting Trina. But who? We fade to black.

So, what did you think about Michael having the goods on Willow and knowing she shot Drew? Were you happy about how he used the information to gain the upper hand to get her to move back into the Quartermaines gatehouse? Were you hoping for a different outcome? Are we just a short time away from Michael and Willow being back together as a couple after everything that has happened? Then, what did you think of the verdict in Curtis’ case? Glad he going away to prison for what he did? Do you care, or do not really care? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
