GENERAL HOSPITAL: Franco Looks In The Mirror … And Believing He Is Drew Kisses Kim

This week on General Hospital, viewers have seen that when Franco (Roger Howarth) awoke from his mind-mapping implantation  (thanks to Shiloh and Dr Cabot) he woke up saying that he is “Drew Cain”.  Thus, as far we know, Franco now carries the life and memories of Drew from 2012 and back, and as of now, has no trace of Franco’s memories.

When Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Drew (Billy Miller) try to make Franco understand in his confusion what transpired,  Liz brings a mirror to Franco to see his face, which makes this all the more terrifying for him.  Liz insists to him that she is wife, but he tells her that he is sorry but he does not recognize her.  Franco insists he is going to leave town and Drew asks him to please stay put, as Liz promises that they can reverse what happened to him.  But can Liz really promise that?

Later, Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) fills Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) in on what happened and how Franco now was implanted with Drew’s memories, which leaves them stunned.  That means Franco, who is one of the people Jason loathes most in the world – now believes he is Jason’t twin brother.

Meanwhile, as Kim (Tamara Braun) and Julian (William deVry) prepare to leave Port Charles for Manhattan and start live anew, (so Kim can not be haunted by her life in Port Charles from the recent death of her son, Oscar) things are about to make a shocking turn … for her.

Back at GH, Liz is upset when Franco decides he must get out of his hospital room.  Liz is scared he will just skip town knowing he feels he has no ties there.  Drew reassures her that because he is a version of him, the pull will be way too strong for him to exit Port Charles.

Kim is now at the hospital getting ready to turn in her resignation letter and runs into Franco.  He recognizes her and calls her “Kim!” You can tell he is quite smitten with her.  Kim is not sure why Franco is acting that way.  She announces she is leaving Port Charles to which he says he is going to come with her. She sees he has a hospital ID bracelet on, so she thinks something has happened.  Just then, Franco tells her about the first time Drew Cain and her met up! This shocks Kim  … and the next thing you know … he moves in for a major kiss and lip-lock as Drew and Liz look on.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Will Franco Wake Up As Drew & Become The Next Victim Of Mind-Mapping?

Friday’s episode of General Hospital, picked up from the major plot twist; and unfortunately for Franco (Roger Howarth), even with the arrival of Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Drew (Billy Miller) to save the day; according to Dr. Cabot (Time Winters), the mind-mapping transfer could not be stopped.  And as the men were all bantering and arguing about, the download into Franco’s brain was fully completed.  Then, Cabot tells Drew that when Franco wakes up, it will be with the memories of Drew dating back to 2012.

Now the questions are, did the procedure work?  Will Franco awake from this nightmare with the history and personality of Drew, or could Dr, Cabot’s experiment be a bust on him?  Next. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Chase (Josh Swickard) show-up.  Liz is heartsick to begin to learn what happened in the warehouse to her son, Cameron (William Lipton) and her husband.  Chase arrests Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), but he also goes to GH to get medical attention for his wounds from the fight with Drew and Curtis.

Once, Franco is taken to General Hospital still unconscious, Lucas (Ryan Carnes) is on the medical case and gets him a neurological work-up.  Lucas then has to stitch up Shiloh, who continually throws jabs at the good doc about Wiley.   Then in a bit of foreshadowing, Dr. Cabot tells Drew, that he will thank him once Franco wakes up with Drew’s memories.  Does that mean that Drew could have done some horrible things in his past … or that Shiloh will leave Drew alone, because what he needs is inside Franco’s brain now? Drew hopes his memories stay buried.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Franco To Cameron, "Tell Your Mom I Love Her ... And Tell Her I'll Be Back"

In heartbreaking scenes, and in touching performances from William Lipton and Rebecca Herbst; as well as Billy Miller, Cam tells his mother about Franco’s last words to him to,  ‘Tell your mom I love her and that I’ll be back”.   Liz learns how Franco protected her son, and traded places with him. Next, Liz sits by an unconscious Franco, and in tears, thanks him for keeping Cameron safe, but laments that it would be a far less wonderful world without Franco in it, and begs him to come back to her, and what a hero he is for what he did saving her son.

In addition, Cameron gives Drew a key piece of Intel he learned during his kidnapping and while the mind-mapping procedure on Franco was taking place.  Shiloh is looking for a specific memory that would allow him to disappear, and that is why he is so determined to get inside Drew’s head from back in the day, by any means possible!  When Cameron sees Shiloh being taken away by Chase, he runs at him but is stopped by Drew. Cameron threatens a snide and laughing Shiloh that he will, “Make him pay.”  Uh-oh!  Is a murder mystery on the way, too?  Drew tries to talk down Cameron.

As the episode comes to it conclusion, Lucas informs Elizabeth that the test results show that all of the physical functions of Franco’s brain are working normally,  However, they won’t know the impact of the mind-mapping procedure until Franco wakes up.

So, what do you think Franco will wake up as Drew? The procedure will half work and he will be part Franco and part Drew? The procedure is a dud? What did you think of the performances from everyone involved in this storyline?  Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Franco To Cameron, “Tell Your Mom I Love Her … And Tell Her I’ll Be Back”

In a stunning turn, which featured great performances by Roger Howarth (Franco) and William Lipton (Cameron), Franco demands to know what’s going on when he walks in on a frightening moment ..  his stepson Cameron has been drugged, and is being held captive by Dr. Cabot (Time Winters) and Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) … and he realizes after Cameron speaks the words “flash drive” and “Drew”, that the evil duo wants to use Cameron as the vehicle to implant Drew’s memories!

As Dr. Cabot goes on and on to Shiloh that his experiment should only be performed on an adult, not a child, Shiloh doesn’t give a rat’s ass insisting that Cabot start the procedure on Cameron immediately.  Throughout, Shiloh has a gun drawn on Franco and will use it on anyone else in the warehouse who does not go along with his twisted plot.

Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Drew (Billy Miller) are trying to locate Shiloh and Dr. Cabot realizing that he could be trying to implant Drew’s memories into an unsuspecting or unwillingly victim.  With the help of Lucy (Lynn Herring), who has been dealing in real estate, they all come to the conclusion of where the men could be hiding out!

At General Hospital, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is becoming frantic, because she had not heard from Cameron and she can’t reach Franco by his cell, either.  But now back at the warehouse, Franco’s cell has been confiscated by Shiloh.  Sam (Kelly Monaco) is blaming herself for what has happened, and Liz asks Jason (Steve Burton) for help and Jason puts Spinelli on the case.

Back at the warehouse, Franco tells Shiloh to use him instead for the mind-mapping, and to free Cameron.  Franco goes on to say that he has done some apprehensible things in his life, and he had a tortured childhood, and would like to forget about all of that, and convinces Shiloh and Dr, Cabot that he is their best chance at success.   But Franco also had a brain tumor which was removed and had prior brain damage, so could this not work at all?

After his plea, Shiloh finally agrees and unties Cameron and has Franco prepped and strapped to the chair.  However, in the exchange, Cameron is now chained to the fence near the door crying to not let this happen to his stepdad.

In a emotional moment, Franco tells Cameron how much he has enjoyed getting to know him and what a great kid he is.  He then tells Cameron to calm down, because he has something very important to tell him.  Franco says, “Tell your mother I love her, and tell her that I’ll be back.” Next thing you know, Franco is injected to start the mind-mapping procedure.

Now the questions become: Will anyone get to Franco in time before the procedure is completed?  And if so, who might save the day?  Curtis and Drew, Elizabeth, or Cameron, or even someone else?  Will Franco become full-tilt Drew with the former Navy SEAL’s memories?
