GH Recap – Oct 10 – Oct 14th

Courtesy/ABC

Jason and Sam enjoy their honeymoon, romantically joking about activities and Hawaiian shirts.  But they are in trouble not only from Franco, but also from a frantic Carly with the best and worst intentions.  Steve and Olivia get romantic… and injured.  Lucky has an important conversation with Luke.  And he hopes Luke will leave Lulu alone, too.  But Luke packs a surprise.  Sonny awakens and grabs his gun – pointing it at Kate.  They have a heart-to-heart, as Dante overhears.  Abby tries to dissuade Michael from searching out the panic room and the drugs, to no avail.  Michael is discovered in the panic room.  We realize Franco is watching Jason and Sam’s every move and planning his next move.  Meanwhile, Carly tries to convince Shawn to take her and Josslyn with him to Hawaii.  Patrick is horrified when he thinks he sees Lisa – was it really her?  Meanwhile, Anthony rekindles a friendship.  Sonny stops Michael from getting more involved.  But when Kate stumbles upon the panic room, the three of them have to work together to keep the cops from discovering the drugs.  Sonny is in Kate’s arms.

A shadow falls across the door of Jason and Sam’s Hawaii shack as they make love.  Patrick takes Robin on an international birthday celebration for one hour.  Later, Maxie arrives with Robin’s birthday cake – but bad luck follows her.  Tracy pays Anthony Zacchara a visit at the Metrocourt.  But they are interrupted by Luke.  Lucky and Ethan discuss the return of their father to Port Charles and addiction.  Liz invites Lucky to a family pumpkin patch trip.  But Lucky calls Liz out on wanting to play house. Just as Patrick and Robin discuss building a greater future together, their life is turned upside down.  Lucky dashes all of Liz’s hope.  Lucky makes an important decision while Liz breaks down in anger and despair.  Kate gets a visit (and flowers) from Sonny, and they have unspoken chemistry.  Kristina is determined to intern for Kate, to Alexis’ chagrin.  Kristina gets startling news.

Jason discovers a curious object in their shack, delighting Franco.  Later, Carly and Shawn arrive in Hawaii, just in time to interrupt Jason and Sam.  Patrick organizes a celebratory boat party for Matt’s research achievement.  Unbeknownst to them, someone is watching while Lisa takes out someone else getting in her way.  Matt invites Liz as his boat date when Maxie turns down the party for her own work and personal pressures.  Lucky confides in Ethan, and the two men look at the portrait of Laura.  Lulu admits to Maxie happily ever after may not be possible for her and Dante… and then takes a drink.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Cody Gets Himself Committed to Ferncliff to Save Sasha

Wednesday’s recap of General Hospital saw Cody (Josh Kelly) willing to do anything to help Sasha (Sofia Mattson) including; making himself look unstable or in need of a mental health facility for treatment.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) is in on Cody’s plan, and although she has reservations, she goes through with it. He assures Sam, it’s the only way he can get in to see Sasha.

The two meet with a psychiatrist named Dr. Brooks. Sam gives examples of Cody climbing out on the ledge of his seventh-floor apartment, and walking in traffic. Cody complains he doesn’t want to be here, and the doctor asks, “In his office or here in general?” Cody says, “On this planet, what is the point.”  Alone with the doctor, Cody says he is having more suicidal impulses than thoughts, and that climbing out on the ledge of an apartment building from the seventh-floor, or walking in traffic, is an adrenaline rush.

Meanwhile, out in the hallway of GH, Sam intentionally spills coffee all over Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder) as he happens by.  She apologizes as he drops his phone, and Sam picks it up, and sees Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) is calling him. Sam tells ‘Monty’ that she is waiting for a friend and that she wishes she had some cards to play a game with to pass the time. He asks, what her game of choice is. Like clockwork, Sam says “Poker.” Sam goes on to say, she loves the feel of the cards in her hands which he concurs, he does too! Dr. Montague happens to know where there is a game tonight and gives her his card if she wants the info.

Later, after convincing Dr. Brooks he needs to be admitted to Ferncliff, (before he is taken away by an orderly) Sam tells Cody that his plan to save Sasha better work, or she will kill him.

However, Dr. Montague arrives to see Sasha and asks Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) how she is doing. Janice says Sasha is showing signs of paranoia and claims that he’s the one who has been drugging her all along! Dr. Montague sharply says that Sasha is deteriorating, and it’s time for “drastic measures.”  An angry ‘Monty” goes into see Sasha alone. Sasha freak outs and requests that he leave. Dr. Montague refuses to do such a thing, and says he, “stays by his patients to the very end.”

So, what do you think of Cody playing mentally ill, so he can try to get Sasha out of Ferncliff? Do you want the drugging of Sasha to stop already? Have you seen enough? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: The Connection Between Austin and Cyrus Revealed; Sasha’s Condition Worsens as Gladys is Blackmailed

On Wednesday’s recap of General Hospital, a few significant plotline developments were moved forward. The episode picked up where Austin (Roger Howarth) comes to Pentonville to “examine” Cyrus (Jeff Kober).

However, Austin is really there to deliver the flashdrive to Cyrus and he does in a prescription bottle. At that point, Austin says he’s done everything Cyrus has asked and has finished cleaning up everyone’s messes. He is done and wants out, but does Cyrus have other plans for him?

Next, viewers learn the story twist. Austin talks about Cyrus’ relationship with him, and how it goes back way back to when he was a kid. He thanks Cyrus for making his mother happy, and thanks him for paying for his education, and helping him have the life he has today.

Then, Austin tells Cyrus, that along with Mason, they roped him into this criminal underworld where he doesn’t belong. He says they’ve made him do things he thought he wasn’t capable of doing in his life, including, lying to (the woman he is clearly falling in love) Ava (Maura West) about Nikolas being dead … when he was the one who saved Nikolas’ life.

At Ferncliff, Sasha (Sofia Mattson) is completely going through withdrawals after Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) or “Monty” the scumbag doctor, keeps drugging her.  Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) stops by and is shocked by her condition. Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) explains the situation and says she must have gotten drugs from a staffer, because you know how addicts are? This is so frustrating to watch!

When “Monty” shows up in Sasha’s room,  Gladys begs him to stop torturing Sasha. He says he will if she gives him $50,000.  When Gladys explains her plight and that she owes Selina (Lydia Look), he comes back with that Sasha isn’t being discharged until he gets paid.  Later, Gladys talks with Selina at the Metro Court pool and she learns Selina shutting down the game, and that she needs her to clear up the books and Gladys needs to pay her back in full.  This leaves Gladys more desperate and Sasha continuing to be drugged out of her mind.

So, what do you think of the revelations of the connection between Cyrus and Austin, and Austin’s part in the Nikolas back-story? Are you over watching how Sasha is being drugged? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

General Hospital’s Cyrus Renault Gets a ‘New’ Look

Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital, left more questions than answers as it seems viewers are about to find out the connection between the currently imprisoned Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), Austin Gatlin-Host (Roger Howarth) and Austin’s cousin, Mason (Nathanyael Grey).

While at Pentonville, Cyrus looks in the mirror and talks to the lord.  He first views himself himself with long hair. Next, he shaves his face. Later, with a scissor hidden in his prison pants, he takes it out and begins to cut off his hair! (And in real life, Kober’s long locks are now ‘officially’ gone).

At the end of the episode, Austin comes to see the new look Cyrus – clean shaven with a stylish cut.  Austin was given instructions from Mason to deliver the flash drive an he arrives at the prison to meet none other than Cyrus.  The hard drive given to Mason from Betty, the nanny, was supposed to contain damaging info on Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) connection and deals with Pikeman.

However, as viewers know, it’s part of a set-up by Sonny; along with assistance from Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Dex (Evan Hofer).  In addition, Mason was seen meeting up with someone who’s face has not been revealed.  In a preview for Wednesday’s August 23rd episode of GH, Austin tells Cyrus his debt is now paid in full, and there should be no further strings attached to him.  Highly unlikely!

General Hospital shared the transformation of Jeff Kober’s new hair style at the capable hands of stylist of Abraham Rivera.  They shared, Jeff Kober entrusted our award-winning Hair and Makeup Team (feat. @AbrahamJosephR) with trimming his legendary locks for Cyrus’ dramatic prison transformation. Take a look!”

So, what do you think of Jeff Kober aka Cyrus Renault’s new look? What will be his connection to ‘Pikeman’? What do you think is going on between Cyrus, Austin and Mason? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
