This week on General Hospital it’s round one of the escalating feud between “The Britch” (Kelly Theibaud) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) that has building for weeks.  The gloves come off in a catfight at Wyndemere in this sneak peek clip from ABC.com!

Having put two and two together, Liz heads to Wyndemere and confronts Britt with the knowledge that she knows that baby Ben is actually the son of Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)!  What happens when she tries to confront Dr. Westbourne is a whole other matter!

Britt hits below the belt and brings up to Elizabeth how Lucky left her and their children, and how all of Liz’s maneuvers are to get Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) back!  Watch the bitch-slap and more after the jump! Then, let us know how you think this will all play itself out? Will Liz finally reveal Britt’s deception?  Will Liz and Nikolas find their way into each others arms again? Will Britt bring in mutta Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) for some assistance?  Comment below!

It disgusts me what this is what a character as rich as Elizabeth Webber has been reduced to. I have seen this scene at least three times. As an Elizabeth fan, I’m sick of it. It’s like RC and company didn’t watch the show past the last 3 years. Elizabeth is more than just her affair with Nikolas. She’s a rape survivor, mother, artist, and someone who has history with pretty much every GH character on the show. Why do we constantly have to hear about Elizabeth’s “baggage” (FV’s word, not mine) and not Carly’s or Sam’s or even Alexis’? Why is Elizabeth reduced to walking around hitting people she doesn’t agree with like she can’t fight back verbally. It’s insulting. Why can there not be a strong female on the show who isn’t a bitch? I don’t understand why it is so difficult to write a story for her that doesn’t involve her being jealous of someone else. I’m happy that Rebecca Herbst is working more, but this stupidity isn’t an Elizabeth story I want to watch.

There are no strong women on the show. Every female character’s existence is tied to man. Sabrina to Patrick. Sam to Silas. Alexis now blushes and acts like a 14 year old around Julian. Robin comes back and she waits for Patrick to decide if he wants her. And the most insulting ridiculous rewrite of a character, Carly not only being in LOVE with Franco, but twittering around like a doe eyed schoolgirl in the process. And even Ava is so a flutter over a nineteen year old, that she can’t stay away and will ultimately betray her brother for him.

Now, Elizabeth is running around putting together the pieces of a Scooby Doo like caper because she’s infatuated with Nik. And of course the inevitable cat fight.

The women on this show are unrecognizable in the hands of RC. Their characters are pathetic. Their lives revolve around their male infatuations and of course most are prone to violence. Such cartoonish caricatures and cliches.

awww c’mon.. The GH women are powerful, and I sure in H would not want to mix it up with one..
Those women have done through hell and back more times than I can count and they are standing tall and strong..
Love the woman of GH

Thank god they are not Lunker’s with hair on their on their chests and BO..
They are famine strong..
I like a good cat fight 🙂 ..
And the strong women of GH !!
and— ALL women have the right to be with a man and love him and it has nothing to do with their inner strength (Go Carly & Franco- :)..

I still consider Ana and Tracy to be strong women. Although Dr. O surprised me a little bit. I thought she was more thuggish. But when I saw her with Victor, I couldn’t believe it. She’s a little weak. Just a little.

How right you are !!!’ Women’s liberation is going backwards instead of forwards. My mom showed me her burned bra. Lol. The women on GH are portrayed as witless and defenseless damsels in distress who can’t get a life without their male counterparts. I hope this illness of dependency on a man never befalls me . I would have never expected for Kiki to be the one to show some spunk and get into Michael’s face the way she did. You go girl !!!!
Well now, I would not like to be in Britt’s shoes as the wrath that is Elizabeth knocks on the door….
Got to hit the books….Gnite all.

I agree she has so much history.and writing stinks

The accent is about the only difference between Tracy and Dr. O. Tracy is malicious and greedy. Dr. O thinks she knows best about everything. “Mutter knows best.”

Ana is strong, so is Robin. Britt and Sabrina can’t exist without a man to revolve around. Carly is the worse. She has to have a man in her life.

i’m surprised it took liz that long to haul off and let britt have it…who the hell is britt to throw all liz’ past mistakes in her face, when she wasn’t even around to witness any of them..she was just deflecting the fact that what she did “STEALING ANOTHER PERSONS EMBRYO” and creating a child that belongs biologically to someone else…liz may have lied about her baby’s parentage and slept with her husband’s brother, but what britt is doing, KNOWING THE BABY BELONGS TO LULU AND DANTE, her new boyfriends sister is totally despicable.

To me it would have been quite powerful for Liz just to say, “it doesn’t really matter what you think Britt, because you’re going down.”

I thought, it was written… that , Britt, knew, she had an embryo implanted…

with her Mothers’ help… but she honestly, didn’t know… whos’…. reason… the staff, also found out… Dante and Lulu’s embryos are missing

and Britt put two and two together….

she’s bonded with Ben… and wants to keep him?

I want Britt to be gone. She has no right to talk to Liz like that, she isn’t Nik’s wife, just his live in girlfriend. Helena please come back and kill Britt. She has no purpose on GH!

Preaching to the choir here, sista.

Can’t wait! Really want Lulu and Dante to get their kid already; looking forward to Nicolas’ reaction.

As for Liz…I love this character. She’s one of the few remaining originals…”younger originals” and I agree…give the girl her own story!!!! Why is that so difficult?! She is not/should not be a supporting character!

As for Britt throwing crap in Liz’s face…the reality is a lot of characters on GH have done wrong so mudslinging is ridiculous. They can one-up each other but let’s take a peek:

Sonny murders people (supposedly…have we really seen this? LOL..kinda more talk than action)

Carly slept with and ultimately stole her mother’s husband

Monica cheated on Alan; Alan cheated on Monica

Liz slept with her husband/fiance’s brother

Nicola slept with his the love of his brother’s wife

Luke raped his wife before she became his wife

Tracy blackmailer (too many to mention)’ backstabber

the beloved ex-Jason: hired enforcer

Sam: enforcer’s wife; con artist

The list goes on and on…and each one of the above criticizes AJ! (which is the bigger frustration to me.)

GH…gotta love it.

I am happy Elizabeth/Rebecca slapped Brit!!! She deserved it and payback felt very sweet!!! I read the posts above and agree and disagree. Elizabeth/Rebecca deserves a good story and not just being everyone’s friend, mother and nurse maid. If she can get Nik away from Britch… whom I am not a fan of… the better!!! Go for it Liz!!!

As for no strong women on GH… disagree! Some have been written less strong recently and I will be watching if RC is reducing our strong women to mush… but so far I haven’t seen it with the exception of Carly possibly and maybe Robin… a bit!

Again way to go Liz!!! Will be hoping we get Liz and Nik back very soon!!!

Im looking forward to it…love a fight between two women…yes, bring in mutter from HELL…lol. I kind of agree somewhat with the other posters about stronger woman and all but soaps are fantasy entertainment, and if the story is not your cup of tea, then i say go drink something else!!!

If Connie’s coming back, is that for flashbacks showing who really killed her?

Funny…Britt remarked how she thought of Windmere as the house in Batman…a few posts ago because some fans commented on GHs comic book level of characters and plots so i jokingly wrote how Nik already had the mansion and a butler named Alfred and that next they’ll reveal Nik as Batman…lol!!!

good one jimh! Batman…Alfred…now if Robin comes back and moves in…

Well, I’ll take the minority opinion. I like Britt AND I like Liz and, while I’m not happy that Liz is involved in yet another paternity reveal here AND I don’t really care for her with Nik, I do think this is a rivalry that could have some teeth. Britt needed someone better to square off besides Sabrina the pink dust mop and Liz is always fun in bitch slamming mode. So bring it on, ladies!

My only concern is when all of Britt’s lies are exposede, Nikolas will dump her like a hot poker. Then who will she hook up with afterwards? PLEASE, don’t let it be A.J.- he derves better than The Britch! For once give him a REAL love interest who can make him happy without a third party in the distance- e.g., Carly/Sonny, Courtney/Jason, Elizabeth/Nikolas.

There’s still Anna as a strong women, although they try to dumb her down with criminals left an right getting away with murder. As for Liz / Rebecca I’m just glad she’s on to watch although I feel she needs to be more front n center. Hopefully she will stay and be more on. I take her over Sam and Carly any day of the week. More Liz, Anna , Ava , Tracy , Felicia Alexis and Molly , and less Carly, Sam , Kiki, Sabrina and Olivia .

At first I liked the romance between Britt and Nikolas— the misunderstood “bad” girl being redeemed by the love of the handsome prince– but now they are reducing it to a naive boob being conned once again by deceiving woman. If Britt had grown, if she had confessed to Nikolas from the get go, if we had seen some emotional growth, but instead we had a her yet again scheming to ” keep her man” and the man being too dumb to see the lies in front of him. They could have made this a really great love story, but now I really don’t care anymore they spoiled it—- imo.
As for Liz I still think she might be a better match for Patrick than Sabrina, but if not Patrick then Nikolas would be next yet not sure where the drama would be in it– but either way the character needs a better story that being reduced to a busy body.

I would have just given the evidence to Lulu & Dante… and if you wanted to play mind games with the Britch… then how about a ‘I know what you did’ or ‘you have 24 hours to tell Dante & Lulu the truth’ (with already giving them the truth) and then just sit back and watch the fireworks.

Takes one to know one, Liz! Which makes this story all the more rich. And if Liz thinks she’s only doing this to right a wrong and it has nothing to do with Nickolas, she is deluding herself.

HAPPY HAPPY!
Britt the Bitch is back!!!! love the bitch..

Poor wimpy Elizabeth will be run down and kicked to the curb by Britt if she doesn’t get a backbone , Elizabeth is not in Britts league and mutta will wipe the floor with wimpy Liz ..

this is going to be soooo good!!!!

I like both these characters, but methinks everything Britt said was true. Liz is down in the gutter with The Britch.

Go liz, Slapped that B%*$(…

it amazes me that people group liz with Brit.
BRIT showed up naked in a man’s house only to be turned down and damn near raped that man in an uninvited shower
Brit then framed her competition for murder
brit blackmailed her own patient
brit threatens to abort a child just to trap patrick

BRIT STOLE HER PATIENT’S (LULU AND DANTE) FERTILIZED EGG TO IMPREGNATE HERSELF SO SHE CAN TRAP A GUY WHO DIDN’T EVEN WANT HER TO BEGIN WITH (HOW ANYONE CAN TURN A BLIND EYE TO THIS IS BEYOND ME)

NOTHING THAT LIZ HAS EVER DONE EQUALS TO BRIT! NOT IN ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION.

and i understand the need for people to embellish the facts, but Liz and Lucky WERE NOT married during Niz. in fact they haven’t been married since 2006. the last time they were actually MARRIED…..Lucky was having an affair with sam.

as for brit she should be grouped with the likes of Lisa niles, heather webber, Dr. O, Faith Roscoe……and the rest of the abnormally crazed women that ever appeared on GH.

I really wish the would have kept liz from this BORING, SLOPPY, WIERD LOOKING BRIK.

I am glad Britt gave Liz a piece of her mind, for whatever it is worth. Don’t get me wrong, please!. What Britt did what despicable and unforgivable. And, not just to Dante and Lilu….let’s not forget Patrick and Emma. She has cheated a little boy out of the love from his true parents and vice versa. She could have prevented so much unnecessary pain for them. Nevertheless, she depicted Liz’s motives to the letter. I do not believe that Elizabeth divulges the truth for altruistic reasons, but rather for selfish ones. I hate to admit it, but my feelings are weakening toward Britt. Does anyone else feel this way? Am I such a stupid softy? Elizabeth did her share of naughtiness, as it were, but we forgave her. Are we to weigh the sins? Who did what to whom? Whose nasty deed was more sinful?
The baby does belong to Dante and Lulu, but this is not the route Liz should have taken. I believe it gave her a certain amount of satisfaction throwing this crucial information in Britt’s face and relish the reaction.

If there is any hope for Britt and Nikolas ‘s relationship to blossom fully, then she should come clean. Is it too late? Perhaps. But, this is soapland. It will be sad to watch “what could have been” between them fizzle. I think they exude excitement and a certain amount of easy , familial comfort. They bring the best out of each other, and it seems that Britt is on the road to redemption, thanks to Nikolas’ belief in her. She is finally able to see that there is another world other than the one she knew with her sociopathic parents
Let’s hope Nikolas loves her enough to forgive her.

I hated Britt at first, but look at her parents? She had a terrible upbringing.I think she has changed for the better.I do like her with Nicholas. Now,Elizabeth! Please she has a long history of slutiness. She always plays the innocent one,and gets away with it.I hope she ends up with AJ.Leave Nicholas with Britt.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
