GH’s Josh Swickard Victim of Online Hoax Using His Likeness

Photo: ABC

On Wednesday, several people who follow the soaps saw in their social media timelines, the image of General Hospital’s Josh Swickard (Chase) seemingly modeling a t-shirt affiliated with the QAnon conspiracy group.

The image was found as part of the online merchandise store of former U.S. National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn.

As those who follow recent developments in politics know, Flynn, who was convicted of lying to the FBI, was recently granted a presidential pardon for his crimes, by Donald Trump.

After the likeness of Swickard began to circulate, the actor took to social media himself with a video disclaimer message sharing: “I was just informed that an extremist group is using a photo of me and digitally putting their logo on the shirt, and I would like to say I am in no way, shape or form affiliated with this group, and it is very upsetting and my team is currently looking at it to get this resolved as quickly as possible.”

Check out Josh’s video below.

Now share your thoughts on this misrepresentation in the media of Swickard and the digital hoax via the comment section.

Good Lord, Kay! How dare you blame the victim! Mr. Swickard has been wronged. He is simply trying to clear his good name. Anyone with a functioning mind and a soul does not want to be associated with this extreme group. Further, conflating his situation with that of Jussie Smollett is ludicrous. I wish him only the best.

Sounds like Kay is including herself with TV stars, et all. Maybe she felt excluded that her likeness was not being shown on something or another.
