GH's Kelly Monaco & Val Chmerkovskiy are SAFE! Will Dance Again Next Week on DWTS All-STARS!

Fantastic news for soap fans and General Hospital peeps!  Kelly Monaco (Sam) and her dance partner, Val Chermkovskiy who went into last night’s Dancing with the Stars: All Stars Results Show with the lowest score on the ballroom dance competition leaderboard were deemed “safe”! So that means Kelly and Val are still in the competition, and will compete again next week in a very tricky routine combination!

During The Results Show, each couple had to pick a fusion style dance combination for each other to compete next week!  Kelly and Val ended up with the Cha Cha/Foxtrot which on paper looks to have a high degree of difficulty.

In a dramatic ending to the night’s proceedings, all of the top three leaderboard vote-getters landed in the bottom three … and the couple that was sent home was Sabrina Bryan and her partner, Louis Van Amstel, who the night before scored perfect tens in what was related by the judges as Sabrina’s best performance.  The irony:  last time Sabrina was part of the DWTS competition she was sent packing the same week!

So soapers, did the wrong couple go home?  Are you excited that Kelly and Val will dance again? And remember keep voting soap fans!  And if you are rooting for  Kelly and Val,  they need each and every vote in a very tough season with stiff competition.

Whew! That was a close one. Tried to vote but the voting was closed. Don’t watch the show, but I want to support KeMo and soaps in general. Also voted for Donald Driver and didn’t watch then either. No ABC for me except GH. So, sorry, but it’s all just a big popularity contest. LOL!

Well, I guess we know Todd Manning watches. I wonder who he votes for?

she has my vote every week—keep dancing kelly!

I definitely think Kelly and Val deserve to still be in the competition. I don’t think Sabrina should have gone yet. As much as I like her – it should’ve been Kirstie.

I think that the Judges didn’t do a good job scoring ….. on the View today they showed where Whoopie pointed out where Sabrina’s partner kinda let her slip …yet the jujges gave her a perfect score? I think that they have been under scoring Kelly & Val. They have been giving Kelly scores lower than Kirtstie Alley??? Really?? No matter what, I am so happy that she has been doing so well!

While I won’t watch ABC except for GH, I do watch clips online. I agree that Kelly puts all her effort into her performances and it shows. I like Kirstie too, but her skills aren’t as good. The judges scores are as skewed as the fan popularity voting. So I guess it equals out. I had no problem voting for DD as a fan after watching his dancing, just as I have no issue voting for Kelly, as a fan, after watching her efforts. I hope Kelly goes all the way, again. I just can’t watch the show because I hate ABC as much as those creepy DWTS judges. But I welcome any cross-promo of soaps because I hope it generates interest in GH that ABC otherwise shows almost no interest in promoting.

i just don’t understand how the tptb & tiic could even have an elimination this week when 8 million households were without power & couldn’t see the show or vote – this is just another way abc shows how much they care about the fans who were effected by this historical storm………..smh

forgot to say & i am so happy that kelly & val were not eliminated!

Yes, it is a popularity contest, not just for skill. But Kirstie?? and Max, they are both very popular, but Kirstie is not that great. From what I have seen of Kel/Val, they are very good and totally in sync with each other. Happy they are moving on!

Everyone deserves a vote. I think the person, that should have gone home was. Kristie Alley not Sabrina and Louis. Besides Kelly had the lowest scores, the next person that had, the lowest scores was KRISTIE. All of the ATHLETES, AND KELLY AND VAL HAS MY VOTE.

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Take a look at the official GH spoilers for the week below.

MONDAY, AUGUST 3

TUESDAY, AUGUST 4
Brook Lynn and Chase celebrate a milestone. Trina gets an earful. Carly’s plan backfires. Curtis is skeptical. Michael is anxious about his family’s’ future.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5

FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

Check out the latest ABC promo for General Hospital entitled, “What Did You Do?” below.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
