GH's Laura Wright wants ATWT's Michael Park for Carly!

In a new interview out today from TVGuide.com, General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) previews the first meeting between Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo) and Carly, and what happens when the two female titans of Port Charles go at it!  Look for October 22 to be the first round of Brenda vs. Carly. In addition, Wright mentions she has her eye on one soaper to come in to Port Charles and be the new man in Carly’s life.  And, that is none other than Daytime Emmy winner for Lead Actor, Michael Park, formerly Jack Snyder on As the World Turns.  Here is what Laura had to say about Park and Brenda!

Wright on wanting Michael Park on GH: “I’ll tell you the award I want! Michael Park [ATWT‘s Jack]! I love Ingo Rademacher, and I love the Jax and Carly relationship and I don’t know where the writers are going with it, but dammit, I want Michael Park! He’s so charming and so talented. I’ve already told Bob Guza and [GH writer] Elizabeth Korte about this. And I think I’m going to send [ABC Daytime chief] Brian Frons an email. I’m serious! I don’t know if Michael wants to work with another Carly, but I have the whole storyline already worked out in my head. So, yeah, I want him to be my new man. [Laughs] And he does not get to be in love with Brenda!”

Wright on if the collision between Carly and Brenda will be well worth GH’s fan wait: “I hope! Everybody came down to the set to watch us shoot it and they were all laughing. It’s pretty crazy. The straws Carly grabs for will have jaws dropping. She really goes for it. It had to be that crazy or it would fall to s–t after all this buildup. Afterwards, I had to apologize to Vanessa and she gave me a huge hug.”

So what do you think? Would you like to see a Jack Attack come to PC and pair Park with Wright?  Are you looking forward to Vanessa and Laura’s upcoming scenes?  Let us know.

I am for it if it frees Jax from Carly. He is way too good for her. He needs a classy woman. They could bring back Skye for him or bring on someone new. Alexis would be great too.

I’d be all for it if it gets Carly away from Jax… we all know he’s one true love is his vendetta against Sonny. Jax is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, always pretending to be high and moral but always doing something underhanded, not caring if he sacrifices his marriage or the step kids he claims to ove so much, as long as he can harass Sonny. i say good riddance Jax… let Carly have a man who actually loves her more than an obsession with all things Sonny.

I think Laura has a fabulous idea, Who wouldn’t want to act opposite Michael Park?’ I’ve never cared for Jax because I don’t think in all the years he has been on GH, he has improved as an actor. His story is one of betrayal to get rid of Sonny, and he is gettingf away with it. I say , go for it, Laura….good luck in your quest…..looking forward to seeing Michael Park……..

I would love to see Michael Park on General Hospital with a new Carly. Jack with a new Carly would make me a fan of their hospital, I’m sure of it! I bet he could get her an Emmy like our Carly! Our Carly’s move to YR with a new Jack made me make the move. If soaps want our business they’ve got to hire our ATWT actors! ATWT had lots of us fans! I’m looking for new shows to watch, need some familiar faces. Love Michael Park’s! And he’s an amazing actor too!

Michael Park was my favorite actor on ATWT. I was sad to see the soap end, but seeking to watch new soaps. I am currently on board with OLTL due to all the familiar faces from GL. I too will become a fan of GH if Michael Park joins. I use to like Laura from GL. I think the two would be a good duo. Good luck with casting Michael Park.

Three-Time Daytime Emmy Winner, Cady McClain, Reveals She’s ‘Back On Set’ But On Which Show?

After her Instagram post earlier this week, fans of Cady McClain have been attempting to dissect her cryptic tease of a message. McClain, a three-time Daytime Emmy winner, shared the good news with fans that she is ‘back to work’, except she didn’t share which show or project she is working on … just yet!

In her post, McClain teased: “Back on set! Fun to be working again on such a terrific show! Can’t wait to be able to share the news with you all soon! Meantime, hoping you are all taking good care of yourselves. Sending hugs!! ”

Now, it could be Cady is working on a primetime show, not a daytime show, but we shall see.

She has previously appeared on The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives of the four remaining daytime soaps.  On Y&R she played Kelly Andrews, and on DAYS, Jennifer Horton Deveraux.  And, as viewers of the NBC soap saw this week, Jennifer (in a short appearance by Melissa Reeves) returned to Salem with Jack (Matthew Ashford), only to tie-up loose ends over the holidays and exit the show.

Since DAYS still tapes months ahead, could McClain be returning there, or might she pop up on GH and B&B? The character of Kelly was killed-off of Y&R back in 2015.

Previously, Cady became soap-famous for her roles as Dixie Cooney Martin on All My Children and Rosanna Cabot on As the World Turns.

Share your thoughts on which show you hope Cady is working on, whether, primetime, daytime, or a streaming series, in the comment section below.
