GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn to be Featured in Alexis-Centric Episode to Mark Her Upcoming 25 Years on the ABC Daytime Drama
She is a two Daytime Emmy-winning actress, and one of the best that has ever graced the soap genre, and now General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) will have an episode devoted to her, and her soap opera alter-ego, next week on the ABC daytime drama series.
The episode has been scheduled to air on Wednesday, April 7th.
Grahn will celebrate her 25th anniversary with GH in September, but as the imminent milestone draws near, and with Alexis in story getting ready to begin a three-year stint in Pentonville, it sets up plenty of drama for the former legal eagle of Port Charles; who has had an enduring battle with booze.
According to Nancy, who spoke with Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue on newsstands now, “I will say that she (Alexis) knows she can’t stop drinking unless she faces her life as it really is and not as she’s faked it thus far, and she is perhaps forcing a brutal bottom in order for her to rise again from the ashes.”
Viewers can look for Alexis to interact with many characters, plus a brand new character, and her on-screen daughters within the episode.
Grahn added to what fans will see, “I feel like this show is not so much about what Alexis discovers, but how that discovery and resolution will affect the heart of so many who watch it. I feel that many will relate in a personal way.”
So, excited to see the Alexis-centric episode featuring Nancy? Comment below.
Will it be related to A.A. or Rehab?
We’ve seen her at her best. We are saddened by her worst but Alexis is strong. I can’t wait to see this woman in action again.
Remember her little stint on Little House. Loving the Saloon Girl look. We love you Nancy. Bring Alexis back, strong, funny and although I miss her with Julian but Alexis and Finn would be interesting.
Nancy is such an amazing person on screen and off. I’ve enjoyed her on G.H. for so many years and look forward to seeing this episode!
She’s 65, take away 25 yrs on GH=40
That’s- 15 years shy of half her lifetime on GH–
To me, that’s weird to be on a soap for 25yrs
or in many cases More than that.
I could never stay in one job for that
length of time, I’d need to move onward.
But–
I really like Alexa and I’m glad that her character
is still going strong on GH–
_____ Big CONGRATS to Nancy!!!
Wishing her another 25!
Hmm… sorry, very odd comment. Myself, I do appreciate my very good pension after 25 years on the job.
It is an odd comment. As well as bad math. Half of 65 is 32.5. So 7.5 years short of half her lifetime. And in the world of acting, especially for a woman on a soap, it’s amazing. And if you add in her 8 years as Julia on Santa Barbara, she has spent half her life in 2 roles.
You sound just like my husband. Sometimes watching he starts sharing logical reasons to why a plot is off on reality. Well duh soaps for me great acting from the writers story not always parallel to life.
I do not like how the Writers wrote Alexis to be an alcoholic, yes I know that their is a lot of people who are women who drink and the story was written to reflect true life. She had her Sh*t together and then now. I find General Hospital has gotten worse over the past year and for me if I miss it I don’t care. So now that she will be sent to Pentonville Prison does this mean that Nancy Lee Grahn will be off the show for three years? I would have liked to seen her in a program for Alcoholics with her doing some kind of a treatment. With true programs out in the real world.
AGREE
I disagree with you
I’m with you on this, Joan. Nancy G. is a wonderful actress making the best of, to me, a poorly-used character. When she has a strong, non-repetitive story (like her Julian days) she excels but the alcoholism is wearing on my nerves. If it helps or inspires people, fine. That doesn’t make it interesting drama after so many times. And her life in Pentonville just bodes discomfort for me. Of course, I will be happy to be wrong about this! Here’s hoping.
Joan Stefanovits,
Hope I got your name right. My keyboard thinks it’s the boss. Iam sure we’ll see Alexis in Pentonville, as we have the others that have been there and still are.I also think you’ll get your wish seeing her do something constructive as that gal told her to do, that visited her to prepare her for prison life. Maybe, she needs to swear off men for a while, as it seems it’s been one after the other that led her to the bottle, starting with her father. For the past few years every time she got involved with someone seriously, she’d go back to drinking after the love affair ended.I liked her with Finn a lot, but never became serious, though I thought there were sparks there. I think that’s when Heyden came back with his daughter.
Meh! ‘Alexis’ has never been a character I liked…except when she was in scenes with Diane!
Not saying Nancy isn’t a good actor…she is…but ‘Alexis’ is not enjoyable for me.
I will watch the show with my finger on the FF button!
These stand-alone episodes rarely work—in my opinion. I know a lot of people like them, but they’re just a “lost day” since they don’t contribute anything to the ongoing storyline.
WOW! I’m sorry you feel that way BUT I respect your opinion! I LOVE Alexis and CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF HER storyline which I THINK could be a LOT BETTER!
Donna I agree with you..
I’d like to see GH use a little of their own history here and have more interaction between Alexis & Scott Baldwin. Because the last storyline this show had involving an alcoholic lawyer was Scotty’s father Lee. Lee is no longer around to talk to Alexis himself, so Scotty speaking from his experience of being raised by an alcoholic father would be the way to reference that history.
Yes, very good point about Lee Baldwin’s story. Scottie might have a few perspectives. He also witnessed his stepmom Gail, a beloved therapist at GH, feel helpless when it came to Lee’s alcoholism.
I would love to see Scott and Alexis interact more. I remember a time when they were chem testing or something with them lol. It was around the time Alexis was living across from Sonny.
Ms. Grahn is fantastic and does a marvelous job with whatever the show sends her way. I’m not a huge fan of Alexis’ constant suffering and bad choices so it will be interesting for me to see if the writers use this prison stint to have her face her demons and redirect her course toward more happiness.
And while we’re talking about NLG…When the heck is her book coming out? I keep bugging the people at B&N every time I need a new book to read. I’m really looking forward to reading it!
Best Wishes and Congratulations to Ms. Grahn on her up-coming 25th anniversary on GH!
Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Love Nancy Lee Grahn and her character of Alexis! I hope that her stay in Pentonville will not take her off the screen too much. I wish her and her loved ones health and blessings. May she have good support during the difficult things she is facing in real life.
I’m on board with an Alexis centric episode, but I think Anna Devane is due one, and so is Elisabeth. Has there been a Laura?
I feel like Laura has had many centric episodes in the past it just wasn’t flat out stated lol.
Nancy has played Alexis on the show nearly 25 consecutive years (no major breaks). Anna left for 20 years and Laura has come and gone numerous times for almost 45. Not saying they don’t deserve their own focus episodes, but only Sonny, Mac and Monica have been on the show more consecutive years (with only Sonny on contract longer) than Alexis.
I’d like to add that Becky Herbst has been there a solid 24 years.
Don’t bet your soul on an “Elizabeth centered” episode anytime soon.
How do I know this? Because Liz has been in Port Charles since 1996 and we still don’t even know who her mother is. Her father hasn’t been seen since 1981, her real sister has been completely forgotten, and the only thing the Valentini regime has used her for is to prop two of their newbies – first the “sister” nobody knew she had, then their pet “reformed” serial killer – who was supposed to be the same guy who kidnapped her youngest son when he was a newborn.
Not to mention they continue to pretend the true love of her life doesn’t even exist. And his name wasn’t Frodd “Baldwin”.
Frank Valentini doesn’t give a cherub’s pink ass about the real Elizabeth Webber
Nice to see so much love here for Nancy Lee Grahn — and Alexis! Grahn deserves the accolades and the Alexis-centric episode!
I am absolutely thrilled about this episode. I feel like I’ve waited 25 years for this…I’m 35….omg.
Nancy, you succeeded in “affecting my heart “ with your exceptional performance today as Alexis who, with the help of Dr. Kevin Collins, looked back on how her mother and Stavros Cassadine’s relationship affected her life. Even with other sad events on GH this was the first time I was moved to tears. Sorta reminded me of another real life Greek magnate, Onassis, and his opera singer lady without the violence. It also made me reflect on why I thought Helena’s character could be a “fun” villain. Don’t mess with the original Cassadines, especially the wife who was scorned. Very evil and dangerous.
Stavros was her half-brother. Mikkos was her pops.
E…Thank you for the correction. I realized it later, but it’s almost as fun to see if another commenter will make sure I got it right.
One has to love Alexis . She is a strong woman in many ways although she has her faults. Who doesn’t ? No one is perfect. She loves her family with all her heart. She will find her way out of the “alcohol” mess she found herself in recently. No wonder she turned to alcohol. Look what happened for her with the last two men in her life. Also, look how she is helping people in jail . She gave advice to the woman who was going up for parole and told Sean to go for it to help find the real killer instead of lingering in jail taking the blame.

SINCE LEAVING GENERAL HOSPITAL
Previously, since his departure from the ABC soap opera. Chad starred alongside Zach Mendez in the world premiere of of Yum Yum at Annapolis, a new play written by Bruce Reisman. Duell last appeared on General Hospital on the January 21, 2025 episode.
The part was recast with Rory Gibson who debuted as the new Michael in May of 2025 during the Nurses’ Ball episodes and who has remained in the role since that time.
In an interview earlier this year on The Able Show, Duell said on his decision to exit the soap opera, “I was blessed to be part of that (show) for as long as I have, but what happens sometimes is if you’re doing the same thing, especially in a creative field for such a long time, you can get a little burnt out in a way. It can make you a little depressed, so that’s kind of what happened. On top of that, I had other things going on in my life at the time. My father passed away recently and I just needed a reset. So, I stepped away. A lot of times you have to go through some stuff to really step into that next level. I needed to kind of feel uncomfortable.”
So, what type of musical genre will Chad’s new song be? Country? Pop? Rock? Dance/Club? Something else? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section below, and if you are eager to hear the new single next week via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Dominic Zamprogna Reflects on Dante’s Guilt for the ‘Atrocity’ That Happened to Michael Which Kept Everyone From Telling Him the Truth About Rocco (Exclusive)

On recent episodes of General Hospital, acting PCPD commissioner, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was the last to know when his ex-wife Lulu (Alexa Havins), his cop/friend “Nathan,” (Ryan Paevey) and his son, Rocco (Finn Carr) kept him in the dark from learning that Rocco actually shot WSB director, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). That, set off a chain of events leading to Rocco joining Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and going on the run from Port Charles.
However, what led to everyone being so secretive and keeping the truth from Dante stems, in part, to what happened back in 2010. In story, Michael Corinthos (then played by Chad Duell) was brutally assaulted and rape by his prison inmate, Carter (Josh Wingate). Michael went to prison when his brother, Dante, then a PCPD detective, forced Michael to testify in court about killing his stepmother, Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Brown). That testimony resulted in Michael being sentenced to prison for manslaughter.
In early 2011, Michael admitted out loud to Jason (Steve Burton) for the first time that he was raped. The guilt of that situation has plagued Dante for years, and fast-forward 16 years later, it’s still very much alive in Dante’s character life as explained by Dominic Zamprogna in his recent interview on the Michael Fairman Channel.

RORY GIBSON RECAST WAS PERFECT TIME TO BRING BACK THE STORY POINT
Zamprogna spoke of Dante’s son current plight, and how it dovetails into the past for the acting police commissioner. “The situation with Rocco is just this awful scenario that this kid is in and wanting to try and do the best for him. The other thing I liked too was from the other people’s perspectives of Dante in the past, he kind of did right by the law, not by the people, or put too much faith in the law, and expected it to work out for the people he loved, and it didn’t. So, it gave them a reason for keeping things from him as well.”
The five-time Daytime Emmy nominee shared it’s important to remember things in the history of the character you play. When GH decided to recast the role of Michael Corinthos with Rory Gibson on-screen in May of 2025, it was the perfect time to remind viewers of what happened all those years ago.
“The idea that when you’re on a show this long, I do think about those elements because there’s so much story. The scenes that I think of immediately with the Michael situation was with Chad gone, and then Rory came in. They (the writers) chose that moment to kind of literally say in the dialogue when we were at the Quartermaines, ‘You’ve changed since you came back from Europe, and you’re a different guy and you’re darker.’ I think I said all these things. Frank Valentini (executive producer, GH) calls (Rory’s version) ‘Dark Michael.’ It’s true.”

DANTE’S GUILT OVER MICHAEL’S BRUTAL PRISON ASSAULT LINGERS
“That was the first time my character brought that up in what had happened to Michael so long ago. I’d love to play those beats more often. You can’t beat that to death, because it was 16 years ago, but you also can’t act like it never happened. Sometimes in the world that we live in, the soap world, you do act like things don’t happen because how could people carry on with that kind of guilt, you know? Every time I looked at Michael, Dante would feel responsible for the atrocity that happened to him. So, there’s a balance. You can’t think about it every time, but you definitely have to acknowledge it. This was the perfect time to acknowledge it with the character of Michael because of the recast.”
Now over the last several months, Dante was kept from the truth all stemming back to that moment. Zamprogna recalled, “It was the first kind of domino that fell in bringing back that history. Then, you had Britt coming back and that brought back that history of the embryo with Dante and Lulu. It was fun to be able to play pissed-off with these people who I love. So, you got to play the love underneath and the anger on top, and it was all because of his past. So, it all kind of brought things back and it completed something.”
CAN LULU AND DANTE FIND ROCCO AND BRITT IN TIME?
At the end of Friday’s June 19 cliffhanger, Dante and Lulu learned from “Nathan” where Rocco and Britt are hiding out and take off to find their son. How will that go? Can the execs get along for the sake of their son? Stay tuned.
In case you missed our conversation with Dominic Zamprogna you can check it out in full below.
Do you believe, given what happened with Michael Corinthos in the past, everyone had the right to hide what happened to Rocco from Dante? What do you remember from the harrowing story of Michael’s rape in prison by Carter? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Finola Hughes First Airdate Back to ‘General Hospital’ Revealed: But What Will Be the State of Anna Devane’s Mental Health?

The highly-anticipated return of Daytime Emmy winner, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) to General Hospital is just around the corner. It’s next week! Anna’s back starting with the Wednesday June 24 episode of the ABC daytime drama series.
Hughes has been off the soap opera on-screen since February. Now, the question becomes, when viewers see Anna, will she be in the same condition she was when we last saw her? Believing Cesar Faison is alive, and traumatized from the hallucinogenic drugs she was served up from Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and company while held captive at Wyndemere?
Anna was last seen in a mental clinic in France, but also left word of her captivity on the wall inside the secret room at Wyndemere where Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) are now being held against their will, too!

ANNA ON HER WAY BACK TO PORT CHARLES?
Even though Finola Hughes has not been on the canvas for months, Anna has certainly been talked about. In fact, super spy Anna, nearly escaped and made it as far as Switzerland before being recaptured. Since that time she is said to be housed at a high-security institution. We were then told that Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) went to bat for Anna with the authorities overseas, and had her transferred to a more comfortable facility.
How will Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) play into saving Anna? We know he flipped out after learning what was happening and tried to phone the facility as Dr. Kevin Collins, but that backfired making him public enemy number one with the WSB.
Here’s what to look for on episodes featuring Finola Hughes on her first week back below:
On Wednesday, June 24 official General Hospital spoilers share: Anna meets with her doctor. Carly makes a stunning confession. Britt extracts a promise. Cullum pulls a fast one. Gio and Emma hit the pool.
Then, when we next see Anna on the Friday, June 26 episode, official GH spoilers add: Anna takes a huge risk. Britt is in grave danger. Willow is in disbelief. Danny must act fast. Curtis jumps to the wrong conclusion.
ANNA/VALENTIN/CARLY
In addition, General Hospital co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased summer story to Soap Opera Digest, including some intel on Anna’s return to Port Charles. The scribes shared that Anna’s presence doesn’t mean that Rocco (Finn Carr) is out of the woods for shooting Cullum, and that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) would face some hard questions from the super spy as well, plus a major decision made by Jason (Steve Burton) is said to have big implications for Anna.
There is also the fact that while Anna was in a mental facility in France, Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin have become lovers and developed feelings for one another while in Port Charles. Will a triangle ensue? Stay tuned.
So, what do you think will be Anna’s mental state when viewers see her next week on GH? Will she be OK? Suffer from PTSD? Be faking it at this point, or be a changed woman? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
