GH's Returning Ingo Rademacher Reveals: "Stoked To Be Back On Set Working With Laura Wright & Maurice Benard!"

Courtesy/ABC
Fan favorite Ingo Rademacher (Jax), who is back on set working this summer at General Hospital, and returns on-air in late July, posted an image on his Instagram account revealing his excitement being back in Port Charles reviving his role.
The actor teased with a photo outside the GH soundstage entrance: “Stoked to be back on set working with @thereallauraw @mauricebenard @generalhospitalabc special thanks to @acura for the stunningly luxurious #2016acuramdx #mdx #mahiku @mahikuactivewear #GH #generalhospital #abc #Abc #abcgeneralhospital”
Jax is returning to be a part of the discovery of just who is the donor of his daughter Josslyn’s kidney, but as we have also gleaned from GH head writers, Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante, there is more to this story and it may take off in a different direction.
So, getting ready for “Jax is back” time on GH? Let us know in the comment section below!
I never saw any of the Jax years on GH. Does this mean more Sonny and company? (gross)
I am in the same boat as you, Charday. I know nothing about this character; mainly because I am not interested. So, gross is right. Sonny, Carly and Morgan steal the show….not in a good way.
Not looking forward to adding more to the daily dose of Sonny and gang.
Cee, you will hate Sonny even MORE because he constantly pulls Jax’s strings and calls him “Candy Boy!” Its tough to watch. Jax rarely has the upper hand with the Grease Man!
Jax is a great character with a lot of history. He is BFF’s with Alexis and Ned. He’s Josselyns dad, so hes back for the kidney storyline. It makes sense. And, Sonny and Jax hate each other and its not because of Carly. It stems back to when Brenda and Jax were together in the 90’s. Plus, it could always be his brother Jerry murdering the patients at the hospital. Or, he is the one that got the kidney. Plus he has history with Nikolas, which isn’t so great but could be another good storyline if TC is involved.
@Elizabeth.
Thank you, Elizabeth. I never took the time to check Jax out mainly because the character appeared once since I’ve been watching. I knew he was Joss’s dad, but that’s it.
I don’t know much about Brenda either; only that she’s tied to Sonny….which is not surprising. What is surprising is that Sonny’s potent prowess did not produce any children.
So, as you indicate, there must be s very pertinent reason for Jax return. I have seen him in a couple of shows (Hawaii 5-0) sans the Australian accent. Lol.
@Timmm.
LOL, Timmmy. Any enemy of Sonny’s is a friend of mine.
@CeeCee…..Back in the day, Jax was seriously hot…..very much the kind of suit-clad, quintessential fair-haired type with international flair that I so enjoy…..but somewhere along the way, he lost his appeal for me….now his appearances are more storyline than personality bound, at least from my perspective. But he did make Carly bearable during their relationship, so I must give credit where credit is due….LOL.
@Shay.
I looked Ingo up just to see what he looked like in his youth. Some people do not change much physically, but this guy is almost unrecognizable.
Yet, He does not wow me either in youth or now. Again, it’s a matter of taste. Not only am I not attracted to fair haired/complected guys, his features don’t make my heart go pitter-patter. Lol.
I know, I know, Shaybelle; you love the Nordic types, such as my brothers….tall and blonde; right?
I sound shallow, I know. Looks should not matter; but, the first thing we see is physical appearance. It’s natural, albeit it would be idiotic to base a relationship on looks where they become secondary after building a rapport. An out-of-this-world personality and sense of humor are high on my list. Lol.
Ingo is very well liked, as Jax…. I can see that. I hope he sticks around a little longer this time so that I can get to know him a little better.
@CeeCee…..Unrecognizable is a very kind way of putting it! Honestly, I never rated Jax on the top of my favorite daytime hunks list…there were quite a few beautiful blond boys of soaps past that grabbed my fancy to a far greater degree, but at the time of Mr. Jacks’ heyday, there was an ever-increasing dearth of the WASPY European types of leading men on display—and today is quite markedly worse—so one had to be grateful for what little was offered…..LOL. Still, Ingo did have a certain charisma at the time, and his Jax brought an Aussie-style charm to a number of interesting GH storylines, which is more than I can say for the current Port Charles scene. Plus, if his upcoming return leads to another appearance by that most redoubtable brother, Jerry, then I’m on board….I do so adore Sebastian Roche’ and his devilishly demonic doings!
Sonny and Carly out the wazoo!
I absolutely love jax and the actor who plays him. He has always been one of my faves and I am glad to have him back.
I’ve always been a fan of Jax and I’m glad he’s coming back. I have a feeling that Jerry Jax is the one killing patients in the hospital.
I really like Jax and glad to see him back. Hope he stays around for a while. I’d like to see him get back with Carly.
Franco the donor?…Ava the donor?….Jasper the donor?…Finn the donor?…Roxie the Lizard…the donor?…lol…not interesting enough to care-sorry!!!
This could be a big plus for the show if it is written well. The current writers need to understand that it is not a character’s behavior that is interesting but the motivation behind the behavior. Motivation rooted in past history can be fascinating. Long live GH!
Well said, Mister Media!
Agreed!
I just hope Jax isn’t the one that stole the kidney.
Not a big fan of Jax, but am mildly curious about the origin of Josslyn’s transplant. It will probably source back to Helena, which is a good excuse to resurrect the fabulous Constance Towers’ diva I love to hate. At least we’ll see some great fashions!
Yes, Soaphound. I certainly agree.
If this storyline is cultivated in a realistic and orderly fashion, and not ‘manufactured’ ploys to best suit the writers, it could be very compelling.
I hope ‘they’ do their research and give us an acceptable, reasonable and sensible story.
Oh, and yes; I, also, hope the development of the story is dealt with sensitivity.
Jax is back! I like that..
Now, we find out ; Josslyn’s kidney is Francos !
“I like that,” also, su0000! Now, if the writers will only “do him right,” right?
Can’t wait! Love this guy!
YAY!!!!
I always loved Jax, especially his friendship with Alexis, who sure needs a friend right now. I’m happy to have Ingo/Jax back and look forward to his story.
I would love to see him teamed up with Alexis again.
@Rose….Whether Alexis really is (God forbid!) pregnant, or (please, please, please….) not, she needs to give those lady parts of hers a rest! This woman has been rode hard by Julian, both figuratively and literally speaking, and it’s about time she learns to enjoy her own company…..or that of a cat, or two, three, or better yet, a houseful!!!!
Shay…Agree nothing hot and heavy. But Jax isn’t that kind of guy, plus they were good friends and even married for convenience I think way back when. Let’s just start with dinners, and catch up. A little like Laura and Kevin when the writers let them come out to play.
@Rose….Yes, there was that brief “marriage” in name only……and generally speaking, Jax is a stand-up dude….just like Ned, and even Mac! Yet none really did it for Alexis when it came down to the nitty-gritty, right????….I’m just so tired of her sick attraction to evil men….whether in real life or fiction, women like her who make repeatedly poor choices in their selection of such flawed male specimens neither evoke my sympathy nor pity, just utter scorn. As far as I’m concerned, Ms. Davis has had ample opportunity to fall for a nice guy, and that never works…..so I’m not nearly as inclined as you for her to get an umpteenth chance with a knight in shining armor. Better a more deserving lady like Anna, or as you mentioned, Laura, who may have finally struck gold with Kevin.
I’ve always liked Jax and I was so excited to hear he was coming back to GH. But there is always that reality that he will most likely be thrown under the bus for Sonny and Carly and used as a plot point to make them look better. How about just letting him fall for someone else this time? Then Sonny and Carly fans can be happy and Jax fans can see him find some happiness with someone who really cares about him and him alone. That would be truly great.
it would not in the least surprise me … if they go this route
would GH – dare – to go this route and waste Ingo Rademacher and the audience time… just for – plot – point and to prop Carly and Sonny
THIS would the end all or be all….
1. Sonny and Carly do not look or act like they are in love… Maurice relys “heavily” on Laura Wright to carry this beleaguered and TIRED “couple”
I will be PISSED if GH – USES – the much loved and missed Jax Jacks
he’s too fine a character… dang it… I loved it when Jax was last on the show… and he had scenes with Skye Quartermaine… she gave him $10,000 to run
GH ! bring back Skye / Lila Rae / and Lorenzo… if not Lorenzo… Jax is thee man
Great comment Patrick. 🙂
Love Ingo/Jax but he’s not staying long term so I don’t think the focus will be on him having a relationship.
Unfortunately you are right Rebecca. There won’t be any time for him to have a decent relationship, but plenty of time for the writers to throw him under the bus for S&C no doubt. Don’t mean to be such a downer, but just going by the show’s history with Jax, it’s hard not to come to any other conclusion.
Oh, just another “drop in,” eh? Sigh!
Hi KMB, thanks for your reply. But I’m not really sure what u mean when u say he’ll be thrown under the bus for C&S. While it’s true Carly left him for Sonny, as she left Franco, etc, Jax has always been his own man, albeit always losing the girl to Sonny. Lol, how anyone xan leave a drop dead, extremely rich, actual great guy with an Aussie accent to boot is beyond me…but I digress. I think his stay will involve Jocelyn and the mysyterious kidney which may tie back to Helena and Jake on Cadsadine Island and hopefully some time with his best friend Alexis. But as u know, he never cowered to Sonny…
Always happy to see Jax!
Give him a contract. At least balance the mob glorification with a few characters who are decent. Glad he is back. Hope it’s for a long stay!
Ingo has many project he is involved in, and really likes.
He doesn’t want a contract/back with GH, but he likes the short stories appearances .
And there is no mob to ”glorification” lol..
I would be very excited if there were a mob..
Sonny and Julian stuff is personal and not mob related.
Oh, su, my friend…..It is absolutely mob related. Every inch of Sonny’s and Julian’s lives is mob related. Alexis would not, herself, be in this predicament it it were not.
Yes, Sonny has a vested interest because of Kristina (sp), but, he cannot pretend he does not have a vendetta against Julian directly related to mob-business. His ‘revenge’ (Duke) is peripheral, in my opinion. Sonny has had it in for Julian since forever….and, vice versa.
Furthermore, even if we consider it personal, it still points to his and Duke’s involvement with the mob. It’s all about retaliation….the top guy needs to win in order to maintain his status. Normal people do not behave this way. It is a lifetime commitment, no matter how many times Julian promises his wife to quit. Duke dis the same thing. Isn’t that the reason Anna broke it off with him?
And, albeit Anna wanted him back before he died, it was obvious to me that was a ploy by the writers. This is complete idiocy on all their parts. The never-ending Sonny-get-your-gun-story.
Just because we have, as you stated earlier, two guys does not mean there is no mob in PC. They are part of a whole=the mob.
I cannot explain myself as well as I’d like…..but, Harry responded perfectly earlier, to your comment.
LOL Celia 🙂
there is no mob(s)..
A mob is more than one man..
Both Julian and Sonny are head of mobs that don’t exist..ahaa!
Julian killing Carlos had nothing to with mob business, it was personal to save his own arse.
What Julian is doing to Alexis has no mob involvement, again it is personal to save his arse.
IF Sonny had an active mob/mobsters that he could boss around he surely would call a hit on Julian and have it over with..
Neither Sonny or Julian have a side, as once was..they both stand alone.
Sonny use to have a hit man, Jason, now he has zero lol he has no mob.
Julian has no mob
Sonny has no mob
they are two men trying to get even with each other over grudges and it is more personal between them than mob business., no mobsters involved just the older trying to get even with each other, no mobsters involved..
Guza had actual mobsters, actual on screen active mobsters, at least 12 in the cast, now there are none.
the men on DOOL do more murdering and nasty business than Sonny or Julian who are supposedly mobsters with a mob.. ahaaaaa!
I’m with you, Dan–give him a contract–balance characters.
Yahoo!
I’m tired of sonny and Carly thinking they are above everyone.. Sonny harassing Julian like he never done nothing before I believe worse.. And Carly wants to give advice calling Alexis stupid but what about her she’s still with sonny. Sonny is becoming soft.. More Ava and Nik..
This is GREAT news. He’s been missed.
Oh, yes! And how! He can do SO much with those eyes and that grin, can’t he?
yep!
I have loved Jax since the first day he appeared on screen! As Lois burst through his office door and he was standing there playing the shoot the ducks arcade game!! I’ve been watching GH since I was 8, that’s 39 yeas and no other character has EVER stolen my heart like Jax. I just adore the character and Ingo. Glad the kidney story is going to be addressed. I will NOT be happy if JAX had some illegal doings behind the scenes to get Joss a kidney. He’s the shows “white knight” deep down in his core. I don’t want them changing that! New writers tend to mold characters into something that they truly aren’t. #JaxisBack #so happy
Yes, he’s not a villain!
Wahooooooo!!!!! Please oh please don’t make him the runner up! Jay/Ingo is a winner! Welcome back!
So excited!! Miss him! Laura W. need’s better material then she has now, she’s dangling in the wind now
Truth!
“Twisting slowly.”
Thrilled to hear that Ingo is back on the GH canvas !!! Love, love the new Nicholas, especially with Ava. Hate Franco and Elizabeth !!!!!!!!!!! Liz should be with Finn . Franco and Nina together are amazing !!! Please end Dillion , Kiki, and Morgan packing. They are all boring !!!! Enough of the Bi-polar story line. Love Hayden and Curtis !! Hoping that Griff is Anna and Duke’s son. Love to see Alexis really pregnant and Julian in prison. Happy to see Sabrina back.
Looking forward to Kristina’s love story. Wherever, it may lead. She is a wonderful actress and deserves a major story line , finally !!!!!!!!!!!!
Su, everyone who watches GH knows both Sonny and Julian are mob connected. Since this isn’t The Sopranos or Goodfellas and the soap deals with numerous other storylines, they’re not going to invest in character actors to fill out the mob. We KNOW Sonny is connected, we KNOW he handles mob business and his coffee warehouse exists to make him appear legit, ae KNOW when there’s a meeting he goes or s
ends (sent) Jason, Duke, whomever, we KNOW his name is known and he is feared and respected by others offscreen, we know one oh his wives, Lilly, was blown up in a mob hit and Michael was shot in a hit. We KNOW the same about Julian. You can repeatedly scoff and correct each time, but they’re in the mob.
Jax no thanks. He never wins. Sonny will be on that high horse again, only way he can look down on anyone , trying to make Jax the fool. Right now Scummy wins no matter what. I win because I have stopped watching.
Love Jax….He is so so handsome….
And I DID like Sax and Jam….
Glad he’s coming back

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
