Haley Pullos Attempts to Strike Deal with Prosecutors and Change Plea to “Guilty” for Lower Sentence in DUI Crash Case
At a hearing this week, the attorney’s for General Hospital actress Haley Pullos (ex-Molly) and the LA District attorney met with a judge in Pasadena, California who was informed the parties were working out a “potential settlement.” Pullos did not attend the hearing.
Haley is allegedly attempting to negotiate a deal with prosecutors, that if she changes her plea to “guilty,” that she would receive a lesser sentence which could result in limited or no jail time. Another part of the negotiation could potentially give Pullos a suspended sentence or house arrest.
Currently, Pullos is facing up to three years in prison after she pleaded ‘not guilty’ to a DUI and a second charge for a hit-and-run. Pullos was in a near-fatal car crash back in June of 2023, when she drove the wrong way on a Pasadena freeway while she was under the influence. and crashed into a another car.

The other driver, Courtney Wilder, was rushed in critical condition to a local hospital to undergo emergency surgery, and is now suing the GH actress in civil court, plus seeking damages for negligence. Last month, Wilder allegedly added Pasadena’s No Comment Lounge to his lawsuit, where reportedly Pullos was working as a hostess the night of the accident. Wilder is accusing the nightspot of plying Pullos with liquor, and then allowing her to drive home in her car, which later caused his injuries.

After the Wednesday February 28th hearing, the judge has now scheduled yet another hearing on April 8 which he said ‘should be the final’ one.
According to the Daily Mail, “Deputy District Attorney Melany Avanessians told Judge Smerling that if no plea agreement is in place by April 8, ‘we will send her to a preliminary hearing’ meaning Pullos would be on her way to a full trial.”

Since Pullos’ legal troubles, GH has recast her role of Molly Lansing-Davis three different times. First with Holiday Mia Kriegel, and she was followed by Brooke Anne Smith. The latest Molly, Kristen Vaganos, seems to be a keeper at the moment during the Molly, TJ (Tajh Bell0w) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) surrogacy storyline.
Pullos joined GH as Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) daughter back in 2009 and was with the show till the summer of 2023 prior to the car collision.
What are your thoughts on Haley trying to change her plea to ‘guilty’ to receive a lesser sentence? Let us know in the comment section below.
I figured she would. No way she could let this get to trial. For it to be justice after any credit for the rehab stint she needs to get at least what fellow soap acrtress Jensen Buchan got off her 2016 drunk driving crash: 1 year in jail, 5 years probation, 1 year driving ban and a 6 year prison term suspended.
She does deserve prison time though.
I guess I can’t argue that, but Andy Reid’s son destroyed a 5 yo girl by disabling her for life, and he is not going to serve a day. Isn’t that something? Same thing, drunk driving, but worse outcome. He walks. His dad wins Superbowls, or so they say.
Britt Reid HAS been in jail. He has been in custody for a while before his sentence was commuted.
Jensen was a repeated offender
when did Jensen get arrested before her horrific crash?
I didn’t know Jensen was a repeat offender, geez. I did hear online she was a terrible drunk. I think she is the actress Kathy Griffin mentions in one of her specials. Kathy was at the daytime Emmys with Kris Jenner and some actress was so drunk she passed out in the bathroom.
she wont do a day in jail for it because of her celebrity sad
Not so fast. Jensen Buchanan who was probably a bigger name in the soap world was sentenced to 1 year in jail, 5 years probation, 1 year driving ban and a 6 year prison term suspended for the same injury charge and without Haley’s other heinous actions
She is hardly a celebrity outside of daytime.
Same for Jensen and while she only served about 2 months of it was sentenced to a year in jail.
The victim of Jensen’s stupidity in addition to critical injuries suffered a heart attack too and now is basically disabled. I don’t know about the victim of Haley’s crash but her life is prolly ruined too. Jail time is a must not a slap on the hand so she go on being a little c u next Tuesday that she is and get away with it.
Its a guy Though with the name Courtney its understandable that mistake was made. All we know for sure is he had to have emergency surgery due to serious internal bleeding.
Not going to judge but her career is over and sorry for her that she destroyed her career I pray she gets the help she needs
Good chance that is true but could still get some roles later. Phil Lewis who killed a woman driving drunk in the early 90’s and still got to have a decent acting career. Including a main role on 2 shows for Disney Channel which is aimed towards teens and tweens. For Phil probably helped he didn’t have Haley’s other heinous actions
What are her other “heinous actions”??
She had hit another car before the horrific crash and fled the scene.
Plus when they extracted Haley from her car she struck the firefighter looking her over and ranted about her $400 shirt. Then was so belligerent with hospital staff that they had to forcibly sedate her.
Telling the officers who were trying to help her, “this is a $500 fkn shirt! She was combative and was acting like a TOTAL JERK!
As long as Lifetime network exists she’ll be back at work again. Starring first in her own movie about this incident. And don’t forget the Hallmark channel. Trust.
Her career is definitely NOT over! She’ll rehab and eventually get back to work again. It might or might not be on GH, but they’ve definitely rehired actors that have had troubles like this before.
possibly. Phil Lewis got roles after his prison time for killing a women while driving drunk. Including a main role on 2 Disney channel shows. On the other hand Jensen Buchanan hasn’t had a role since her release from jail for the same injury charge and that was without everything else Haley did.
A big issue for Haley: will the insurance companies allow her to be hired. RDJ and Wynonna Ryder were denied roles because of insurance companies and they were bigger names than Haley even when they were being denied roles due to their legal issues.
I like the character for the first time ever since the current Molly (Vaganos) has taken over the role.
Me too!
I agree. I couldn’t take one more minute of Haley Pullos and that entitled whine she brought to the character. Vaganos comes off sincere in the role; not spoiled, superior, or obnoxious. What a difference!
She has always come off as full of herself and entitled to me. One pic after another on Instagram was as provactive and “come hither” after another. Nothing written or posted of substance; nothing that matters. During covid while people were lying on ventilators she was complaining that her take out food put something in the salad that she didn’t want. She went on to name the place which could in turn effect their business. So; I just hope she never sets foot on GH again. She almost killed the other driver, and all she could do was rant that the firefighter who pulled her out of her car might possibly ruin her $300 shirt. Have zero sympathy for her.
It was a four hundred dollar shirt.
I agree with you she is so self entitled. She almost killed people and all she cared about was her shirt. Glad she is off General Hospital she deserves being fired
I think that if she.doesn’t spend some time in jail, she won’t have learned her lesson.
Lock her up and throw away the key dui is not ok
I like her as Molly..But she must pay for her crime. She’s got alcohol issues and went to rehab? I hope she learns her lessen. No excuse for drinking& driving! None
I am always amazed that these people don’t just Uber. Back in the day I would be amazed they didn’t have a driver, but I’m talking about far more famous and definitely rich celebrities who would get busted driving around drunk and drugged up. Today, anyone, anyone at all, can just open their Uber app. It’s inexcusable and honestly defies any logic. I just can’t make any sense of it at all.
She should be ashamed and just because she is a actress she still needs to be accountable for her bad decisions to be driving under the influence putting her and everyone else in danger So look what happened shame on her
As much as I liked Haley Pullos as Molly, I’m getting used to Kristen Vaganos. It’s not right if she gets a lower sentence but it’s the way it is now days. She is a celebrity in our eyes because we watch the soaps. If I was to ask anyone in my family who Haley Pullos was, they would say Haley who?
Your comment is so true, known just because we watch the soaps. It is also sad that the morally upward character she played didn’t have a better affect on her real life. This should alert us to the fact that we as viewers truly do not know these actors or their personal lifes, and as such, should stay out of the court of public opinion on their life’s and legal issues.
She’s guilty, and didn’t seem to express remorse. Seems as if she’s sorry she got caught. Which is really too bad. She played her GH role very well.
Going to jail could be the best thing that ever happened to her because she still doesn’t get it. In fact, serving time could be a life saving measure for her and force her into recovery.
I sorry but don’t want her back on GH love the new girl playing Molly
There is only one Molly. I love Haley. Everyone makes mistakes. She’ll pay what is expected but she is missed on GH.
Not a mistake. A mistake is her saying the wrong lines. Or forgetting an appointment.
She needs jail time.
The new info coming out today makes Haley look even more despicable. According to Radar online and picked up by OK magazine Haley in a motion is trying to argue that the injuries sustained by Mr. Wilder were completely his fault.
She needs to do her time . She caused serious injury due to the incident and she don’t need a slap on the wrist. 3 months isn’t long enough .

‘General Hospital’ Alum Jonathan Jackson Shares Emotional Tribute to His ‘Nashville’ Leading Lady Hayden Panettiere

The entertainment world has been mourning the loss of Hayden Panettiere, who died on Sunday at the age of 36. Panettiere, who was so familiar to daytime drama fans in the roles of a very young Sarah Roberts on One Life to Live and Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light, also starred as an adult in the primetime music city soap opera, Nashville as country and western singer, Juliette Barnes.
Panettiere’s leading man in the series, was none other than six-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital) who played musician Avery Barkley.
The actress’ death is still under investigation in Greenville, South Carolina, now calling in the DEA after the Greenville County Coroner’s Office said there was “no signs of trauma that were discovered that would have contributed to the death.” Hayden’s body was released to her family on Tuesday, August. 18. It is believed Panettiere died of an “overdose.”

WE GREW UP IN THE INDUSTRY
Jonathan Jackson took to his Instagram on Wednesday night, August 19 to share poignant words in remembrance of his Nashville co-star. “I have no words to express the loss of our beloved Hayden,” began Jackson. “She had such a bright light within her. She was a sensitive soul. Incredibly funny and witty. Amazingly gifted, with a great sense of empathy and compassion. We both grew up in the industry, although she started even younger than me, but we shared that. A silent knowing of how intense the struggles can be.”
Panetierre started in show business in 1990 at only 11-months-old, while Jackson was cast on General Hospital in 1993 as Luke (Anthony Geary) and Lauras’s (Genie Francis) son, Lucky when he was 11-years-old. Jonathan drew on the parallels in their lives for his remembrance to his late former co-star.
“She was an absolute joy to work with. Focused, spontaneous and brilliant,” continued Jackson. “The most important thing between friends and coworkers is trust, and we had this. Elisa (formerly, Lisa Vultaggio) and I both love and cherish her deeply, like our own sister. She holds that place in our hearts. My prayer for her every day we worked together was that she would know how loved she is, and that she would find the peace that she was looking for.”
WE LOVE YOU, HAYDEN
Sadly, Jonathan concluded with, “It’s not possible to express the shock and grief that so many of us feel right now. Our humble prayers are with her family. May God’s angels carry you to your place of rest and true peace. We love you Hayden. You will always be in our hearts. Always.”
Nashville ran for four seasons from 2012-2016 on ABC, and then moved to CMT for its final two seasons from 2016-2018. The actors on the show could also sing and like Jackson, Hayden had a powerful singing voice that was showcased in the series as well as her undeniable acting chops.
Michael Fairman TV previously shared more of Panettiere’s Guiding Light and Nashville co-star tributes here.
So, what did you think of Jonathan Jackson’s very touching tribute to Hayden Panettiere? Did you love them as Juliette and Avery on Nashville? What have you thought about the ongoing investigation into Hayden’s death? Share your thoughts via the comment section.

BRYAN CRAIG’S MEMORABLE RUN AS MORGAN CORINTHOS
Since leaving General Hospital, Craig’s other roles have included: ABC’s Grand Hotel and Freeform’s Good Trouble, along with appearances in Valor, Walker and American Fighter to name but a few.
Bryan appeared on General Hospital for his initial run as Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) son from 2013-2016. His journey ended when Morgan was presumed dead after a car bomb killed him that was meant for Sonny. Craig later returned for appearances as Morgan in different iterations in 2018 and 2024. Craig won back-to-back Daytime Emmy Awards in the former Outstanding Younger Actor category in 2016 and 2017.
It was back in 2016, that Craig told Soap Opera Digest on his decision to exit General Hospital: “It’s been an amazing journey, but I feel like the time is right for me to say goodbye to General Hospital and Morgan Corinthos. This was not an easy decision and I am extremely grateful to ABC, Frank Valentini, and the entire GH cast and crew for the opportunity and their unyielding support. To the wonderful fans who have embraced and loved Morgan as one of their own, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
So, glad to hear of Bryan’s casting in The Weapon? Are you still holding onto hope that GH will bring back a very much alive Morgan Corinthos that could shake-up the canvas? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

John Oliver Recaps His ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘General Hospital’ Soap Opera Experience on ‘Last Week Tonight’

Last Week Tonight host, John Oliver had his soap dreams come true on not one, but two long-running daytime dramas, heralding it his “hot soap summer” on the Sunday night, August 16 edition of his HBO series.
As viewers recall, Oliver’s tour of soap duty began back in March when he made a request and an offer to appear in any daytime drama that would have him with certain conditions, which included: having a ridiculous and over the top character name, a juicy storyline, and a slap.
Both Days of Our Lives and General Hospital came a-calling for Oliver, taking him up on his offer and in short order. Oliver appeared on GH in the role of the head of the WSB named Z on episodes airing July 2-6, and then on DAYS in the role of Salem’s chief water inspector, Devlin St. John, in episodes that streamed the week of August 11.

Photo: ABC
FIRST STOP, PORT CHARLES
On Last Week Tonight, Oliver shared that both soaps delivered, and then launched into a comedic send-up complete with clips from some of his scenes. Starting with General Hospital.
Oliver said, “To General Hospital’s credit, they met all my requirements and more. First, my character got to arrive by a helicopter flanked by a pair of armed goons. And I got to do a dramatic walk during which I bravely shot in the general direction of a guy who was already on the ground. It’s called being an action star, by the way, unless you’re me or Vin Diesel, you really wouldn’t understand. And then in my next scene, I revealed my true identity. (Oliver played the scene where Josslyn wakes up in a hospital bed with Z standing at the side of her bed introducing himself).
He continued, “As for getting slapped, well, they knocked that and me out of the park too, because it turns out that agent’s mother was not happy with me,” explained Oliver, as they cut to the slap of Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in the WSB Port Charles bureau office on Z. Oliver screamed, “YES! It has everything! A slap, a dramatic closeup, and me doing a voice so wrong, it is genuinely embarrassing. That was my honest attempt at an American accent. I can’t tell you why it’s southern. I can only tell you I was trying my hardest.”

Photo: ABC
SECOND STOP, SALEM
Then, came John’s wrap-up of his role of Devlin St. John on Days of Our Lives, the town’s chief city water inspector. “It is on Days of Our Lives I appeared in scenes alongside soap legends like Jackée Harry (Paulina) and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie). And the Days of Our Lives team met my demands in a whole different way because instead of being an international spy boss, they wrote me a character a little more my speed.”
Cut to a clip of Oliver introducing himself as Devlin St. John to Rita. He explains, “I’m the only thing standing between this town and a catastrophic plumbing failure. A literal sewage apocalypse. They made me Salem’s Chief City Water Inspector, which let’s be honest, is perfect casting. If you’re going to bottle my essence and sell it as cologne, it would be called ‘Chief City Water Inspector.'”
DEVLIN’S WIG
The late night host also clarified all the reports, that the wig he wore for his DAYS character he actually brought from home. “Now, as for the hair, I agree, it’s absolutely incredible. It’s been reported this past week that it is a wig I brought to set from home. And while it wasn’t technically from home, we did actually provide that wig, and for good reason,” joked Oliver. “I’ve seen myself act. I knew the hair was going have to do 90% of the work. I’ll be honest, I was going for a healthy John Stamos (ex-Blackie, GH) look, but instead, it appears I ended up looking more like Tina from Bob’s Burgers.”

Photo: Corday Productions
“And if you’re wondering whether I got slapped on Days of Our Lives, not only was I slapped by a man wearing elegant silk pajamas (EJ), I also got to slap him, which felt utterly incredible. But wait, I was also stabbed with a syringe and not once, not even twice, but three different times. And if that wasn’t enough, this happened too.” At that point, Oliver played the clip of Rita using the taser on Devlin.
JOHN OLIVER LEAVES DOOR OPEN FOR A SOAP RETURN
The now late night star-turned-soap actor concluded his segment with, “Are you not entertained? Watching that makes me feel the way I assume Matt Damon felt after seeing the first cut of the Odyssey, both proud and impressed that my body could even do that. Which again, you wouldn’t understand. You’re not an action star like I am now. ”
As he ended his recap, Oliver thanked both soaps for playing along, and noting that neither DAYS or GH actually killed him off! Could a John Oliver return happen down the line? Stay tuned.
Watch John detail his soap dreams come to life on General Hospital and then Days of our Lives below.
Now let us know, what did you think of the performances of John Oliver on General Hospital and Days of our Lives? Did you prefer one over the other or enjoy both of his guest arc visits? Could you see Oliver nominated in the Guest Performer category at next year’s Daytime Emmys, even for a 3-episode run on one of the soaps? Let us know in the comment section.
